Big Brother 17: Let’s Dance!

Thank you Lisa. It has to be pretty hard to write as much as you do about so little. Thank God I’m crocheting an Afghan while watching the show or I wouldnt be able to sit through it. Production has to be aware of how this season is spiraling downward. They need to do something to shake it up. This blog is the best thing about this season. Lisa..as usual. spot on post..or at least IMHO. Talking about Jackie wanting to be a star, last night they sitting in the BY talking and saying what they would do when they went home. She said something to the effect that she was going to find another reality show to be on. Really?? Who has that as a master plan, or worse, voices it out LOUD??!!! lol She shouldn’t be on any REALITY shows because she is about as REAL as her fake ass extensions!! Someone compared her to Victoria from last season(was it you??) because Vic wouldn’t take her extensions off. She had major headaches and her head was bleeding,but she wouldn’t be seen without them. So far I haven’t seen Jackie w/out hers either. At least Rachel took hers off now and then and I remember seeing Gina Marie putting hers back in for hours in front of a mirror.

Audrey went p to the HOH ear;y this morning and said she wanted to sleep up there..that she couldn’t take sleeping with James another nite. No invite. And Van almost put her up for eviction so I was like..WTH?? It must have been her master plan to get Van alone and make the F2 deal with her. I SO doubt that Van meant it at all and I totally expect it to go by the wayside like pretty much all the other alliances made this year. So weird that Aud started out so strong as did Jason and neither one is amounting to a hill of beans! Lots of floaters this year and even worse…non-existent ghost-like HGS!!!

Robert – I think they should do away with have nots altogether. Can’t see that it adds anything to the game. I preferred America getting to choose the menu for them anyway. I fondly remember reward challenges as being more interesting than watching have nots eat slop.

Steve and Meg I like the most, but John is beginning to be a favorite. I loved that he picked Liz as a twin because he detected the work done on her teeth. And what’s the deal with having a skinny and a less skinny twin. Shouldn’t twins look the same below the neck as well as above.

I don’t think anyone yet has said they wouldn’t tell anyone something and then set about telling everyone they see.

If things get any more boring, I’ll be crocheting like Jeanne only I’ll crochet a noose for when I can’t take the boredom any more. : )

I also fondly remember the comments reaching over 100 posts. Of course, there was some action in the BB house to inspire comments.

well sounds like I didn’t miss much. I just watch everything on Hulu so won’t see tonight’s episode until tomorrow but sounds like it was pretty uneventful. I’m enjoying Johnny Mac. (underestimated him early on) Hate the “reality show wannabes” ugh. (Jackie give it up. ever hear of focusing on a REAL life?) no disappointment so far about who’s been voted out and who is most likely next. Just wanting to see Johnny Mac , Steve, Liz & Julia, Meg & maybe even James, Jason & MAYBE Austin safe for now. I like Shelli but don’t like power couples in the house running everything.. Tend to root for just one smart underdog! (like Johnny Mac or Steve) Johnny Mac is clearly the most entertaining!

I think the most recent comps have been so lame! Wonder when there will be an endurance comp. Hi Jeanne & Jolee! Hard to have any favorites but I do like Johnny Mac and Jason, at least they are entertaining! Least liked Clay,Shelli & Audrey. Not sure when there will be a double eviction but if those three are still there hopefully two of them will go home the same night! Everybody else is middle of the road for me. Lisa you do an excellent job in summarizing what is or is not going on the house!

Hi EV! I agree that John is by far the most interesting and intelligent house guest this season.. It took awhile for me to understand him, but after watching a few BBAD episodes, I started to like him. I think his “lazy” voice makes him appear less intelligent. I like Steve, sometime! I pick John as my favorite. Looking forward to see what happens this week. I would love, love, love for John to win HOH. I think he is the only HG with enough guts to make a drastic move and shake things up! We can dream, can’t we?? 🙂 Good night all. I am off to bed!

I like John, the other players I’m not sure of yet. Need to see someone that will make this game interesting. Soooo boring. I did make a beautiful Afghan, finished it tonight. That’s it!!! Finally had to google thru the cobwebs of my mind to pull out the faint memory of who Johnny Mac reminds me of. Any guesses…? (Besides the voice of Goldthwait.) Hint…from 1984… Max Headroom!!! Yeah? Ya think?

Great post Lisa Marie as always. I do think Johnny Mac is keep the show going. He is a little strange but entertaining. As for Jackie PLEASE I didn’t like her on AR and still don’t. I may have to get out my crocheting as well Jolee and Jeanne if things don’t perk up!!! Hopefully on Thursday night the HOH’s will shake things up. Have a Great Day ya’ll!!!

Last night I watched some BBAD, they played a game saying a sentence with an accent ex: Hillbilly, English “Would you like a cup of tea in the garden”. It started to show they could be a fun group and we could see them have fun and laugh at themselves without production interference. Becky, put her hair up and can be a real knockout when she dresses up.

I’ve been a fan of Johnny Mac since the beginning. His goofy laugh and voice made me laugh every time he was in the DR. I wasn’t sure if he would last, I figured he’d be annoying and end up getting booted pretty fast, but he’s found a “strategy” of sorts by being a pawn, throwing the BotB, then saving himself via Veto. I don’t watch the live feeds or BBAD, so on the CBS show, I only see him occasionally acting “normal”. All I know is I want him and Stephen to stay as long as possible…..the rest are kinda lame.

As far as someone saying about doing away with the Have Nots, I disagree. Being a HN in can literally break a player. Granted, those dentist chairs don’t look too uncomfortable, usually they slept on a hard bed in a cold room, having no real food, and throw in the cold showers for good measure….it weakens the “soft” players big time. Some seasons when people were made a HN for 2 or even 3 weeks in a row, they would literally have a breakdown. That’s what its for. Now, everyone is so political about it, volunteering or taking turns to be fair. In the old days, it was used to get revenge on your enemy/direct competition or to weaken a stronger player.

I do miss the group food comps, but I think with having the BotB now, that sorta takes it’s place. Reward comps are the only time the house works as a unit, and that can be interesting….putting rivals/enemies together to work toward a common goal. There just isn’t enough time in a 3 hr week to show all that, and show the people interacting on a daily basis or show the drama.

Anyway, that’s my two cents on that.

Gronkowski was on THE TALK today and he said that whoever wins the challenge tonite wins a cabin on a cruise ship. Dont know if he meant tomorrow for live show…
