Big Brother 18: Let’s Go Ahead And Open Up The Diary Room!

Hi everyone!

So, here’s what’s going on. I have a super busy day tomorrow and I need to get caught up on my sleep tonight. So, I’m going to go ahead and open up the diary room super early!

But, before I do that, I have to comment on tonight’s show. It’s hard to know where to begin but I’ll just state the obvious. This is a very immature house. I know that almost everyone thinks that the house needs older people. Well, I’ll just say that the house needs mature people. If that means older, so be it. But here’s the thing — I’m about the same age as the remaining houseguests and even I find every single one of them to be amazingly immature. I would also argue that all of my friends are more mature than the majority of the houseguests.

This is what we learned from tonight’s episode:

Nicole whines whenever she actually has to play the game.
Michelle cries over nothing and then worries that she’s an “ugly crier.”
Zakiyah is willing to give up a chance to win the game, all because she has a crush on a guy that she’s known for a month and a half.
The men in the house are loud, rude, and obnoxious.
Paul has delusions of adequacy.
Paulie thinks the world revolves around him.

Seriously, Big Brother houseguests, grow up!

It’s sad because it doesn’t matter if I miss the show, you guys sum it up so good. Paulie is a jerk, Paul is an idiot, Michele is a cry baby, Nicole is a whiny brat, Z is too wrapped up in Paulie, Da is gone (unless she has the return ticket), Natalie is a real no brainer, James is a huge disappointment, Bridgette is a sweet girl totally out of her element, and Cory and Victor are?????

I vote to evict Da. I just do not like her game.

After this season why would anyone pay for the digital fall show? It’s time to clean house and get a better casting crew in. I sure miss the shows from years back.

Princess: Good synopsis of DaVonne and RBF. Too funny.

I vote to evict Bridgette since she brings nothing. Hopefully DaVonne will shake things up. I would love for her to win and put up Paul and Paulie and say this is for trust and friendship.

Anyone else notice the smile on Nicole’s face when DaVonne was put on the block? She is not as sweet and innocent as she tries to portray herself.

i missed tonight’s show, but i voted to evict Bridgette anyway she has a filthy mouth on BBAD alot of these kids yeas i said kids they are cry babies, not sure of the game, they play a stupid game. I too miss the old BB the last say 3 or 4 have been like this. no game play at all. ewwwww this group are filthy house keepers the bedrooms are so nasty !!!!

Sirrock, on the last post you mentioned a spanner being a wrench. Here I date myself. John Lennon wrote a small cartoon book in the mid 60s called a Spaniard in the Works – as a take off on the British idiom spanner in the works. I would not relinquish my place in line to buy a second edition even when I heard myself being paged in the department store. My mom thought she lost me. As soon as she found out I was OK, I was really read the riot act, but I had my book. Back then I was at about the same level of maturity these houseguests are. Sigh!

I vote to evict Bridgette. She needs to go. The only mature person is DaVonne. I’m cheering for her or James or Big Meech. James seems to be listening to everyone to see what is going on in the house. I am hoping he is biding his time until he turns the house on its head. He could be just being a floater. For sure he will be the first guy that the boys cut.
I guess I am hoping Da has the return ticket. Then we just need to hope someone NOT in the Executives gets HOH. I think Big Meech would have the strength of character to turn the house on its head.
Natalie seems very nice but OMG! She also seems clueless. If it’s an act she needs an Oscar.
Zakiyah has been treated like crap from Paulie over and over and just keeps taking it. Why does she have no self esteem? Can’t she see that Paulie is a real jerk? And why is she so gross? (Changing her pad in the storage room with James and two girls in there with her and then sticking her hand in the chip bag without washing her hands.)
Nicole, who was my fave at the beginning of this season is just too whiny and fake to who I thought were her friends. She would have been cooler sans showmance.
Corey, in my opinion, is totally worthless.
Victor is loud and annoying.
Paul is loud and grates on my nerves.
Paulie is a misogynistic pig who is too full of himself to be of any importance to me.
And what is with the guys talking so poorly of the girls (especially Natalie)? They call her FT. I just find that so rude. Especially when they say it to her face and laugh. She obviously has no clue what it means (fake titties).
So sorry I went on and on and on with my own opinion when all that was asked was who to evict but when I scream at my TV I get no response. Now I will probably get too many responses. Please keep them kind.

Sammi, I enjoyed your comments! I just can’t believe Z did that in the storage room. … with an audience!! That’s sick!!! Where do they find these people? They make my skin crawl! I find myself even disliking the remaining vets who I was rooting for in the beginning! Nic is a complete disappointment to me. I really liked her in her previous BB. She’s as cute as a button, but her actions spoil that! IMO!!!

I cant wait to see Paulie evicted..he really is a Major Douchebag. Something is wrong with Z that she fell for him so fast and ( hard? ) and that she takes his abuse. @Astra….I agree. As to the attraction of Z to Paulie…that is it. It’s totally just physical attraction! What else could it be for 20 year olds stuck in a house for weeks on end? Her choices are limited, he is physically hot, and apparently, she has very bad insecurity issues! Paulie was just using her to fill time between comps. Cody wasn’t like that so I didn’t expect it of him. But the way he keeps saying he doesn’t DO drama in or out of the house makes me see that every time a girl gets too demanding and wants more from him..or God forbid jealous….this is what he does. Walks away. Or even runs. And leaves a trail of broken hearts. His hair cut isn’t what has made Paulie ugly to viewers. It’s getting to know the real him. It ain’t pretty!!! 😉

I’ve been so back and forth with Da since the season began. I think I’m just over her now….time to go. If she does go, I wonder if anyone will be half as much of a jerk in their goodbye messages (if she sees them….Round Trip Ticket and all) that she was to Tiff and Frank. I doubt they will. Probably scared that she’ll see those messages and then return…..at least if they were smart, the would think about that.

But, as i stated last week, I am going to vote to evict PAUL until he is outta there!!!!!!!

As to Da and Bridge, I really don’t care. If Frank was still there it would be fun to see her go. At this point, she can’t win comps and at least she isn’t 20,so I almost feel like the Nanny will be leaving the kids alone when she goes..lol

Bridge is just there. Period. She may know the game and have a brain, but since all she has done since Frank left is sleep,who knows???

So no strong feeling either way there. And my vote still goes to PAUL and his BONE!!! 😉

I vote to evict Bridgette. I wish she had played HER game the whole time, and not Frank’s. I don’t watch live feeds, but I did like that she had Da’s number and doesn’t trust her. If evicted, I hope Da has the return ticket, too. That would be awesome. Nicole….if I have to hear her say “button” one … more.. time, I am going to scream. The word has two “t’s” in the middle, Nicole, and they aren’t silent. I also can’t stand the way she says “but.” ARG

Great comments. I voted to evict Da for a couple of reasons. I think
an eviction of Brid. would be a wasted vote, as she has no power.
Her main function in the house is to keep the Dumb and Dumber crowd in cookies. But if Da is evicted (and not a fan of hers) she will be angry and if given the RT will come in with a desire to get some people out who think they are guaranteed to win. I thought it would be Frank, but now I think it might be very possible that Da will get the RT. Something needs to be done to liven this season up and prod. has to know this.
The second reason I’m hoping Da gets the RT is she really needs
the money. She’s a single mother and probably won’t get married
any time soon with that chip on her shoulder. (But maybe she’s
not as bitter outside the house??) None of the others really need
the money nor have the brain power to know how to use it wisely.
Paulie might be a better business man than person outside the
house, but I have to think his brother and Derrick are ashamed
of the way he’s acted in the house. I know Derrick for sure has
to be.
I have a feeling Z has had a rough time growing up. She spends too
much time primping (as if her life depended on it) and is too much
of a lap dog to men. Her self-esteem is getting carpet burns. I hope
someone who will be good to her is in her future. She won’t find
Mr. Right in the BB house. And maybe someone will help her learn
proper hygiene???

For some reason I always miss Wednesday’s episodes and catch up Thursday before eviction. This week is no exception. Last week when diary room opened, I cast my vote before watching the episode and then had to revise my vote after watching the episode, so this week I will save my vote until after I have seen it. But, I have been Team Da up until last week or the week before, but I hope she stays. Bridgette is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Can’t stand that sweet act she puts on, and her voice…😖…so, as sure as I am that I would vote for Bridgette, I’m holding off until I see what transpired on yesterday’s episode. Hope y’all have a good Thursday. Looking forward to another eviction and can’t wait for Julie to announce double eviction.

Thanks for the entertaining lead Lisa. I loved it. But then I always do.

I’ve read several places that Da has the return ticket based on red lettering and the number 8. I hope they are wrong. I really want her gone………….still. I agree with everyone’s assessment of the guests this year. They are all immature as has been said numerous times. I guess tonight will show us if the rest of the guests stick together like they have all season.

OMG I hate Paul. Your BOY?? yu got that right. At the beginning I wanted him because he was a rocker and guitar player but the minute he opened his mouth and that embarrassing glittery beard. I actually like Da again. Its a love hate relationship. I want to keep her around for awhile. I liked Nicole last time she was on but she seems like such a whiner cry baby this season. I am not happy with the way Paulie treated Z especially last night on BBAD, wow did he do a number on her mind. Not cool dude. The Z hygiene issues really gross me out, I am sure that I would have said something to her too. As far as the eviction goes I vote to evict Bridget, she talks like a rednecked trucker (not anti-truckers, my dad was one) and she brings nothing to the game. Da’ is feisty, one of the reasons I appreciate her.

This season is boring. I don’t care who goes and who wins HOH. I remember the days I could not wait for Thursday shows. I almost forgot it was on tonight. Da’Vonne – gone girl. Please pick personalities next time – Janelle, Evil Dick, Jeff, Jordan, Howie, Will, Boogie (not a fan), but at least these people had personalities. What has happened to casting?

I vote to evict Da. Was over her the 2 weeks she lasted her first season… and was over her from Da 1 this season (after I remembered who she was, that is)

She had her grumpy cat face on all season this year until a few days ago. Now she’s everybody’s bestie. Mamma Da loves you.
I know that is the game… just wish she could take some joy being on the show before she has to be phony about it.
She will probably have the RT ticket. Will everyone be so quick to yell “rigged” if she does like when they thought Frank had it?

Don’t get me wrong… the rest can go too IMO.

A thought I had about BB19.
I wonder how many people will actually watch BB19. I hope to see solid numbers for ratings.
Aren’t there about 7 million that watch regular BB now days?
I bet they will be lucky to get a tenth of that.. but who knows.

The interesting thing to me is we are all so sick of casting and especially when they “recruit” people who have never heard of the show. And those people use BB in hopes to get “exposure” for other deals.

Well maybe… just maybe they will get regular people with such low viewership for BB19. Recruits usually have agents. Maybe their agents will tell them to wait for the summer show on CBS for far greater exposure.

I suppose the 500k is incentive enough… but am hoping against hope that it will also mean everyday people when there is very little “exposure” involved.

Totally agree about them getting regular people. I hate when they cast people who haven’t seen the show, are only there to promote their clothing lines, or have no clue what a POV is used for.
I hate when the whole house thinks it has to vote one way. Shake up the house and don’t be sheep!

As far as I can tell, they still haven’t told Da she will be evicted.
I like a good blindside as much as everyone, but they will tell her before the show tonight so she is prepared. Some do feel really bad for her but know it’s best for their own game…. and they don’t want to do that to her on live tv.

Also. Where can I apply for the job of sound mixer for feeds / BBAD??
No, I don’t have any experience other than adjusting sound levels when making mixed cassette tapes in the 80s… but still!! LOL

You put all HG’s names on a slide bar… and I’m pretty sure I could get them to match somewhat. And I could save listener’s ears!! They would no longer have to turn sound up so high just to hear one HG… only to have eardrums shatter when the other HG replies!

Justa thought. But what seems simple to me must be very complicated. apparently.

Paul and Victor’s mics should always be on whisper mode. I crank the tv to hear a conversation only to hear Paul and Victor from another room. Grrrrr.

If you’re gonna tell someone they are being evicted the day of the live show, please tell them BEFORE the feeds cut to highlights for the night. I like to watch how that goes.

But.. no feeds are out until after the show.. and Da, Z, & Meech still don’t know. Suspect.. but don’t know.

Guess I’ll just watch the fallout when I get home in the morning.

Well said SAMMI. I agree.

It’s boring to watch when we all know the house will vote one way (Paul/Paulie’s way) in order to fly under the radar to stay in the house until it’s time for them to be voted OUT.

I wish there was some kind of reward for them to risk it and vote the way they want for their future stand in the game.

Many are voting out their future allies. They are choosing to wait until It’s their turn to be slaughtered.

I’m losing interest too.

Did you see his bed????? No wonder he looks so at home in the HOH room. I can’t beleive he subjected himself to this. His mom said he did a lot of charity work. That’s because he doesn’t need to have a REAL job!!!!! 😉

Also, that’s gonna flush the remaining two round trip ticket chances. What a bummer that will be to ruin the best week of BB, if someone returns on a Double Evict night!

Throw in that America prize for eliminating 2 votes from the first eviction of the night, could be wild. What’s the next prize? I know a shared HOH is coming but maybe not for the second part of the double evict?
