Big Brother 18: Wow, this season is nearly over!

Hi, everyone!

I just realized that this season is nearly over! I mean, I knew how close it was to being over but it just now dawned on me that Big Brother 18 only has two weeks left!

Anyway, today, they had the veto comp. It lasted a very long time and, from what they’ve been saying in the house, it appears that it was the comic book cover competition! The big news is that Nicole won the veto, which means that Victor is going home on…

Well, he’s going home on Monday but we won’t actually see it happen until Tuesday. That’s right — Tuesday’s live show isn’t actually live. It’s being taped on Monday. So, the feeds will probably be down from early Monday until after the show is broadcast on Tuesday.

Last year, of course, this led to Austin being evicted on Monday and, as a result, we didn’t get to see his reaction to being evicted in real-time. We heard him tell Vanessa that she wasn’t going to win but apparently, they edited that down from a rant that went on for several minutes. Since I hated Austin, I was really disappointed that we didn’t get to see his full humiliation.

This situation is a little different with Victor. Unlike Austin, Victor knows that he’s going to evicted and I imagine that he’ll handle it a lot better than Austin did. Victor may not be happy about it but, at the same time, he has to know that he did remarkably well for someone who has been evicted from the house twice. He also has to know that Big Brother will probably find an excuse to bring him back for a later season.

(Either that or he’ll show up on Survivor, where I think he would do just fine.)

Anyway, on Wednesday, someone else will be voted out. That person will probably be Paul, unless he manages to win HoH. And then, we’ll be down to the final three. The finale air on the 21st and then, a week later, it’ll be time for Big Brother Over The Top!

Some of you have asked if I’ll be covering Big Brother Over The Top. Maybe. If not me, I’m sure someone will.

I am so bummed out that Victor is headed to the jury house. He is the only one deserving to win. Now I hope Paul wins, but really doubt that will happen. I will vote Vic for AFP. That guy deserves some $$$$$.
I do not want Nicole or James to win.

Suzanne: Have you noticed how irritating the voices on many
of the guests or anchors for news programs are? What is wrong
with the casting people for not understanding that the voices
of those on the air are important to the viewers. I often FF
when they have a woman on with an irritating voice. Men voices
can be irritating, too, but the lower tones are not as bad as the
higher pitched, nasal ones of the females.

Sherry…. So sorry you are having that problem. My best friend suffers from fibromyalgia and she has lupus also. She is in a lot of pain almost all the time. She goes to a chiropractor and does acupuncture that helps a lot.

Thank you, Margie. I can’t do the acupuncture thing. I tried
and nearly passed out from the pain. I hate that my pain level
has increased so much. Things that once never bothered me
are so painful now. BP and blood drawings have become an
ordeal. They can’t get an accurate BP reading on me because
the pain is so great my BP shoots through the roof. But I know
so many others have a far worse time than I with it, so I can’t
complain. You learn to go with the flow of it and know it will
get better with time. It has taught me to enjoy the blessings
in life and not become bogged down with those less enjoyable
parts of life. Complaining is such a waste of time and solves
nothing. But your concern was much appreciated. Oh, I, too
go to a chiropractor. Chiropractors and massage therapists
together make a big difference, but the expense of both can
become too much.

Princess September 11, 2016 at 1:33 am: I have Fibro, too, Sherry. I love my chiropractor. I see him every 10 days. I’ve done acupuncture and it helped a little. I found it was dependent upon the practitioner. But massage therapy is out of the question. Some days are diamonds, some days are stones. And some days my energy is completely sapped, I’m in pain and I still have too get up and go to work. I really hate it and because you “look” normal, most people can’t understand it at all.

Have you tried this combination of medication I know alot of people who take Lyrica & Backlophen ( spelled wrong I know sorry ) together and their pain never comes back as long as they stay taking this combo of meds. You have been giving me so much comfort, wish your pain and all pain to go away. One day God promises no more pain, sorrow, or tears, and death, will be no more. Hold on to that Sherry God is on the throne we know it.

of encouragement. I can’t take Lyrica because of the
side effects that affect other things wrong with me. Swelling
is one of the things I fight with fibro and Lyrica can increase
that problem, plus weight gain….ugh, no thanks. I have that
problem as well since exercising is out of the pic. Anyway,
thanks for the help. May today be a super good day for you.

came to help me after a knee surgery, and she had it. She
talked about how awful it was giving birth with it. I had never
thought about that. But it has days that are good and others
not so good. You just learn to deal. There a lot of worse things
in the world.

the slip and slide hilarious? She claims to be a good athlete, but
that run of hers is not that of a good athlete. The way her top

Hey sherry. I think we sent posts at the same time!! 😉 Do you take anything for it? I know there is a drug, just can’t think of the name right now. It might make you feel
Worse tho then you have to cope in other ways.
I have gone to a chiro for over 20 years. But my first and only, and s good friend, retired last year and I just haven’t warmed up to her replacement. She was a bit older than I, very nurturing and easy to talk to. Always had a hug at the end. The new chiro is male, 30ish and manipulates totally differently. So I have started going a lot less. I guess it’ll be cheaper anyway. Inbetween now I get massages. I had scoliosis as a kid and an adjustment at least every 2 weeks was perfect. But now I just pop in randomly.
I agree with you about acupuncture too. I tried it once. Hated it!! I felt like Guliver staked down by the Liliputians!! Lol. Hated laying in the dark alone and told not to move. And the longer they were in the longer it hurt. I had to yell early to get me out of here!!!! lol. Obviously I didn’t go back. 😏
Anyway pain is what it is. We all have it in some form
As we get older. You just try to manage it the best you can. They have support groups for fibro in FB. Maybe you could find some online. You never know when something might help. 🙂

Know what you mean about switching chiros. I had the best
when I lived in Russellville and had to change when I moved
to Fayetteville. I finally found a woman that is more like a
friend now, but I still miss my chiro friend from Rsvl. I found
they all do it differently.
I never got to the dark room with the acupunture. She had
to quit before we got very far because the pain was so bad. I
can take a lot of pain, but that was horrible. I never went back,
either. If you can do it, they say it’s great.
I can’t take the drug you are talking about. It has too many
bad side effects that would affect other problems I have. I do
take Bupropion (dev. of Wellbutrin (sp?)) that helps a lot.
You have a tendency to think it’s not working, until you miss
a day or two.

Star September 11, 2016 at 2:35 am: Sherry. I don’t even know how to go about finding a new one. I’d prefer a recommendation buy haven’t found anyone to give me one yet. In town anyway. There are zillions of them and I wouldn’t even know where to start looking. They need to start a site for CHIRO’S kind of like a dating one. They could say who they are, how they do adjustments, would give a look at their personality….. I think it would be awesome!! Now if I just knew how to set up a webpage I might try to sell it. 😏

I take Motrin everyday too for back and knee pain etc. I don’t feel like it works that well either until I skip it! Lol
Do both Fibro and Lupus affect the nervous system??

females? I have to wonder if he isn’t exaggerating. It doesn’t
add up with the way he falls head over heels in love every
time he plays BB. He doesn’t act like a true player (not talking

Hi everyone! I have really missed being on here, but there is so much going on right now! Jeanne and I get tired so easily. Sherry, You might want to try magnesium malate for fibro. give it a couple of months. i’d take 400 mg a day…around dinner and bedtime with water.
my bro in law fighting cmml….leukemia was put on d3 and two kinds of magnesium after a stem cell transplant. these are things we need while we’re well…..not after we’re so sick it’s too late.
i hope you’ll give it a chance. i am so so so against BIG PHARM even though i do have to take some meds…i wouldn’t if i could get the same thing in a nutrient. i won’t touch tylenol and rarely ever advil. very very bad for the liver. i’ll take magnesium and lots of water…can’t take script pain pills. massage helps…push up the legs towards the heart. anyway i’m sure everyone’s tired of me talking about magnesium (chelated only) but i’ve seen it to wonderful things.

Hi Princess and Sherry. I didn’t realize I had “fibro friends ” on the blog. I also have chronic fatigue syndrome and restless legs syndrome. It is as you said a challenge having an “invisible illness “. I have had them 26 years. Had to retire early 20 years ago because of the illnesses. There seems to several other illnesses that are common to fibro and chronic fatigue sufferers.
On the subject of BB. I am glad Victor is on his way out. I hope his boy Paul is right behind him. Don’t want to separate “friendship ” for too long!

that are hard for doctors to diagnose and harder yet for them
to treat successfully. It always help to know you are not alone

So disappointed that Vic is heading out to the jury. He has played a good and straight forward game and played hard. He is one of the very few that actually needs money so I will be voting for him to get the AFP. I haven’t decided if I will continue watching because the last few seasons have been boring for me at least. I am not one for shomances and from the looks of it, this will be a continuing theme moving forward. I can’t waste my time watching hg’s laying in bed all the time or laying low behind strong players willing to play hard. That’s my opinion.

Ran: I thought Vic needed the money, too. But after hearing
about his real job (which I was under the impression he didn’t
have on a regular basis) I have changed my mind. He runs a
fitness center, so has a regular pay check coming in. If he gets
AFP and has the $5 k plus his pay for his stay in the BB house,
he should be okay.

He has to live home so I seriously doubt he is taking it in. Besides no one should be judged on how rich or poor they are. You don’t “deserve” the money on BB. You have to earn it. It’s not a charity. Dr Will won and he’s a plastic surgeon. No one seemed to mind that. Just sayin. 😎

to win the money. I was only pointing out that I had imagined
him to be in far worse straights than I began to belive he was
in the last couple of nights. At one time it sounded like he didn’t have a regular job. Then I learn he has 15 people working under him. I doubt he is just making minimum wage with that many employees under him. So if he had won, I would have been content that he not only earned it, he needed it, too. But if he
couldn’t win after winning all of the comps, he still will go home with probably $3ok over and beyond his stripend. He will be all right whether he wins the $5ook or not.

it with game play. So he got AFP because of his social game.
Everyone went away happy. I don’t always like the one who ends up winning the money, but if you’re outplayed everyone else…
you’ve earned it. Just saying.

Do they still have a veto at final 4? Example, James wins HOH (I know that is a stretch) and he puts up Paul and Corey. Nicole wins veto and takes Corey down. Isn’t Nicole safe from being put up as a nom since she won veto? Who would be the second nom?

Justaguy (JT) September 11, 2016 at 1:23 pm: Yes, there is veto in final 4. As sherry said below, Nicole would not use the veto and would be the sole vote to evict in your scenario.

HOH is important in final 4……. but POV is power.

deb: I think there is a veto up until the f3. If Nic won the veto, she wouldn’t need to take Corey off the block. She would just vote Paul off.
If Corey won a final veto, he would leave it as is and vote Paul off or
have Nic go on the block and vote Paul off.
If Paul won the veto, he would choose to either vote Nic or Corey off, after replacing himself with Nic.
Maybe they need the veto to just see who gets the final vote. Now I’m confused!! Someone with a better memory will give you a
better and more correct answer, deb.

Considering the make up of the jury I think they will vote for the non vet returnee Corey. Paul will certainly know of the close friendship of Nichole and James and blab to the others.

I’ve noticed that all the guys in the house turn into animals when there’s a male majority and scum mouth Paul is around. He leads them into potty talk and for some reason they all try to out do each other with undignified chatter. Did any of you read Lord of The Flies?

Well it is winding down and a new Big Brother coming fast! I will sign up for CBS A.A. For watching the 2nd new season. So much for being productive this fall. I still like James but his play was not the best. I hope he and Nat have a chance it’s would be cool for them to be the next Jeff and Jordan they are so cute together.

Before I forget I want to Thank our leader Lisa Marie for her Outstanding writing, composing, and generally capturing everything that happens on the show and put it into words what a gift, what a talent we should not ever forget the job she does for us..

Speaking of us … I want you all to know how much I enjoy every post on here. I read them all, some I may not agree with, sometimes later I look back and change my mind and do agree with the posts, mostly I do agree with you guy because we are a family and when someone asks about something outside big brother it show how much we respect each other and care about everyone on the board. To me this is why I love our show ( CBS would say not our show lol) This is now a part of big brother to me. It’s a package the show, the board with all of you nice people, makes me look forward to this every year! I don’t watch Survivor due to I have to work at some point as I am self employed and have to keep up before I get to behind.

The next week should be fun and I hope your favorite wins as long as its the same as mine ha .

Hope you get caught up with your work. It does take a lot of time
watching the shows and keeping up with blog friends, but so worth
