BB 19 — It’s Time To Open Up The Diary Room For The Final Time!

Hi y’all!

I’m sorry that I missed yesterday, I had some personal things to deal with. Fortunately, nothing unexpected or, for that matter, interesting happened in the house while I was gone. That’s the way that it is when there’s only three people left in the house. At this point, everyone’s done almost everything that they can do.

True, a better player than Christmas would probably be using this time to try to talk both Paul and Josh into taking her with them to the final two. But Christmas is not a good player. She’s a flop of player and she’s basically been carried to her current position, both literally and figuratively. Instead of trying to figure out a way to get into the final two despite being out of the running for the final HoH, Christmas has been saying that she thinks Paul and Josh should take each other to the final two.

(At the same time, she also told Josh to take whoever he thought he could beat. I don’t know if she realizes that would be her.)

Anyway, the show is almost over! So, you know what that means! It is time for me to open up the Diary Room one last time!

The rat showed up in the house a few weeks ago, shortly before Raven was evicted. Production set down several rat traps but I don’t think he’s ever been caught.

Josh winning the final HOH and evicting Paul would be icing on my cake… I don’t care who wins this season, but Paul (though I loathe him), should win… unless he doesn’t win the final HOH. I hope he throws it to insure Xmas’ vote for him… (thinking Josh will evict Xmas) and then little Josh finally grows a pair and kicks him out on his keister. Surely that would create Josh’s win… I believe the bitter Jury would be happy to vote for the HG that finally chopped the head off the snake! I know I would!

The best moment tonight will probably be the faces of all the lug nuts when Julie announces Cody as AFP! That will be a slap back to reality for these idiots that have perceived themselves as “beloved” by American. Welcome back to reality HG’s. That will make watching the worst season of BB EVER!, worth the waste of my time!

It is, after all, just a game… right!?😬🙄

If you listen to Josh on the feeds yesterday at 7:13 pm as JuJu so kindly told us, you will see that you are correct in that he, at least, perceives himself as a ‘awesome’ (his words) player and other people should be jealous of his game play! lol HE REALLY BELIEVES IT!

I voted for Josh to win just because I dislike him just a touch less than the other two. I am hoping Josh wins part three and takes Christmas so we can see Paul’s reaction to losing. I don’t really care who wins after he’s gone. I am voting for Cody for AFP.

The waves were so bad we literally had to hold on the bed to keep from rolling out! After two days though it calmed down and we had a really fun time! I even won almost $3,000 at the casino! I am happy to be back home with my little fur baby, Allie though. Thanks for asking!

I was going to vote to evict Paul and that the Rat to win but..aren’t they’re one and the same??LOL Either way…still my vote!! 😉

I usually try to keep it game and judge by the way an HG played. Paul was the one manipulating all season and calling all the shots. So i guess I should be voting him to Win not go. But Paul is a person you love or you hate. And even if you love him, it doesn’t last after you get to know him!!! Last year I hated and then liked, but not for long.
This year, I liked him at first because , right off the bat I could tell the HGS this year were weak and didn’t know the game. But it didn’t take long for totally disgust to creep back in.

I also think that Josh has been playing his own game..at least for the last few weeks. So i guess by process of elimination, I vote for him to win!

Christmas floated because she wasn’t a threat. And because Paul liked the attention and knew he could beat her in all comps.

Actually, the only one that still makes me laugh and I doesn’t make me sick is Josh!!! So fingers crossed he pulls this off!!

I voted for the rat. But if I had to actually chose among the
three left, it would be Josh to win for two reasons. #1 I think
he will take X-mess to the f2 making Paul completely out of
the running (and even if he takes Paul-Paul will come in 2nd
again!!!!) At least I would hope he would beat Paul.
#2 I think he and his family need the money more that the
other two.
There is another reason. If a rat won, then it could be any of
them, expecially Paul. NOOOOOO!

I vote to evict Paul. I would have preferred to have Kevin win, but it did not work out that way. I don’t want Paul or Christmas to win so that only leaves the loud mouth Josh who can never go into the diary room without yelling. Paul did play a heck of a game, but I just did not like his game play. Funny how 3 of the bullies are left. Oh well, that’s Big Brother…May the best loser win!

I personally feel that Paul does not have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning! In fact, if Josh wins the next part he will without a doubt take X-Mess (Mommie). I hope the camera stays on Paul’s face while this happens. The only way Paul will make it to F2 is if he by some chance wins the last HOH. He has been practicing his speech for a couple of days and IMHO he needs to change it up because he is sounding entirely too smug. It will be interesting to see the back yard interviews. I hope they get Jeff to come back and interview everyone.

The only saving grace for me is I won’t have to listen to Jessica since she didn’t make jury.

Wonder if Elena will wear a bra or spend the evening feeling herself up? Wonder how they will be able to pry Mark away from her to interview him? Wonder if Raven and Matt still think they are puppet masters? Wonder if Jason has shaved that ugly beard? It was looking pretty bad in the Jury House. Wonder if Cody will sit on the side with the Jury or on the other side of the stage with Jessica in his lap? Wonder if Kevin still thinks Paul is a wonderful young man? AND the biggest wonder of all…… Wonder if Alex will still vote for Paul if he makes F2?

We shall see tomorrow night. I can’t wait for it to be over. I will miss checking in with all of you every day though. I hope the cast for CBB is good and we will want to watch!!!

Margie… Glad you made it home safely. You are sure wondering about a lot of things…LOL. Me too… for example… Paul practicing his speech over and over. Right after that he slipped into bed telling Xmess and Josh his heart was palpitating…that he was having an anxiety attack. Was it caused by all of his exaggerated lies? Or… I’m wondering when it will dawn on him that it’s not a good idea to use the microwave oven as a timer for his speeches!! Duh…

Hi Bobo!!!! Your comment about POW MIA day reminds me of a conversation Sherry and I had today about Jane Fonda and how much we detest her! Every time I think of POW’s I remember her unbelievable actions. My bother-in-law does not allow her name to even be mentioned in the house! She should have been sent to live in Viet Nam a long time ago! But that should not and will not take away how we feel about all of our military. I remember watching TV and seeing the planes bringing back all the POW’s as well as the coffins. It was a very somber time. I had an acquaintance whose husband was a POW for many years so I know what she went through. It was not easy.

Margie, I can relate to your brother in law! My mom detested Jane Fonda! She turned off the TV whenever she was on. She wouldn’t watch any of her movies! I’m fact, I felt a little guilty when I watched “On Golden Pond!” 😕. But Henry Fonda was one of my favorite movie stars, next to James Stewart ! 😊

Margie! Welcome home!!! The last cruise I took (only took 2 of them) I spent the first 3 days in my cabin clutching the plastic trash can, and it was smooth sailing. If you are prone to motion sickness, even slight movement can bring it on. Paul brings on the nausea too. Go figure.

Bobo! You’re my hero! My dad was a POW and MIA during WWll. Shot down, captured, dug out, recaptured, liberated by Patton. My heart is full of respect and admiration of our military. Those feelings slosh over onto Cody no matter what his personality failings may be.

Lisa, you deserve a Purple Heart for dealing with the wars on your site. Your involvement with reporting what happens in the BB house and your own thoughts and ideas are so appreciated.

If someone already made this comparison and I missed it, I finally figured out what kind of furniture Matt is – a Lazyboy. : )

Thanks Bobo for your recognition of our POWs! The Vietnam war started while I was in high school so it was my generation (and classmates) who were in the trenches – or jungles, actually.

two… my father-in-law was also a POW in WWII – captured in Italy and sent to a Stalag in Germany for 2 years. Then had to escape from his Russian “liberators” and made his way by foot back to England and eventual safety. Never would talk about it until he was in his eighties!

Looking at the poll, Josh has a clear lead among blog readers. With 121 votes, he is the only HG to be in triple digits. With 40 votes, Paul is currently 28 points behind the Rat. Christmas has finally made her way up to double digit support with 13 votes.

This blog has been one of the best parts of the season. I’m glad I’ll soon be out of my misery. Some people have suggested I stop watching if it’s so miserable. Ahhh how do I tell them not watching is not an option. I vote for Josh to win – he’s the one I dislike the least. No good choices this year. Thanks for your amazing blogs, Lisa. Susan, unless people have been a fan as long as we all have,
there is no way they would ever understand not watching is
definitely not an option. I’ve run into the same comments from
family and friends who are convinced I have a screw loose for
even watching, much less boring them with any comments about
it. So thank you Lisa and BBBlogger for giving us this blog to
talk with those who understand us the best. We are a family like
any other family in that wedon’t always agree and sometimes even argue with each other. But we still have a special place
in our hearts for all our BB buddies.

What were the details for “Bounty on Your Head”?

Meehan: It’s an idea we’ve had for a while and we’re always looking for a place to play it. In this instance if you took it you got bounty on their head so if the HoH chose to evict them that week then the HoH would get $5,000. We’ve had the idea for a while maybe it will come back.

JuJu… I saw through Grodner’s spin where she said “they” chose not to try the Tree of Temptation, when really it was Paul who forbit them from even thinking about trying it. Mark was the only one that Paul could not manipulate in that regard.

Grodner also said, in hindsight, they should have put it in a different space so the guests could have chosen to use it in secret. Too late for that now…stupid producers!!

Obviously the Bounty was not well thought out.

Reading all the comments here reminds me of an eulogy. “BB was boring, predictable, frustrating and hard to take, but we’ll miss him anyway. Survived by a lot of addicts who were desperate for change and Lisa Marie who provided CPR the last 2 months. At least now we can look forward to dating Survivor and CBB now that BB19 is dead and buried.”

I stole Dan’s funeral and took it one step further.

Sherry, I should have left the eulogy up to you. You’d do much better at it than I did.

Margie, glad you ended up having a good time, at some point. Where did you end up going? Wasn’t the plan to go to the Bahamas? Glad your safe. Now another hurricane is out there. Guess you heard my dad died, thanks for your respected comments. It was a shock ! He wasn’t even sick, he died on my mom’s birthday. We are in Lake Charles right now, he wanted to be buried with the family, in our plot. Way back then, my grandma and grandpa bought a whole giant block, big enough for their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and everyone else. I am gonna, bring Jenna and her kids home, next week sometimes. Till my grandma get’s tired of us ! She asked me to move in, I told her ” I am going to Europe for some time to get my head on straight and think. She said ” Can, I come with ya “? I said ” grandma your almost 87 years old, I don’t want to be worried, ask Jenna if you can stay with her. So she did, Jenna gave me a dirty look !!! Bet she comes home with us. Anyway welcome back.

I hate to see this is the last blog on BB it came and went so fast !!

7:13 PM – Josh says Christmas is most liked in jury and will win so he needs to take Paul. Says Paul hasn’t really made any moves.

7:14 PM – Josh is listing all the “moves” he feel like he has made in the game. Feels like Paul really laid low and didn’t do much.

7:19 PM – Josh says he won’t see how good his gameplay was till he watches back. Says a lot of players wish they could have played like him.

Thank you so much for all of the comments today! Y’all are the best and, whenever I’ve wanted to give up this summer, you are the ones who have brought me back in and reminded me of why I enjoy doing this. 🙂

Just a reminder, if you’re a Survivor fan, I will be blogging the show over at https://realitytvchatblog.wordpress.com/ and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Admittedly, the pace is a little bit slower over at the Reality TV Chat sit — that’s the difference between a daily post and a weekly post. 🙂 But I do my best to keep things interesting.

As for celebrity big brother, I don’t know if I’ll be doing at this site or over on the Reality TV Chat site. But I will be doing it and I will definitely let y’all know!

Thank you again for reading and commenting. This hasn’t always been an easy season to watch but I’ve enjoyed writing about it. 🙂

My husband is a vet, as well, and rides with the American Legion & Patriot Guard.

We’ve been watching The Vietnam War on PBS & find it riveting. We graduated HS in the late 60s (HS sweethearts), and it’s eye-opening to now be learning just how much we didn’t know!

As for BB — well, it’s importance pales in comparison. I haven’t watched BBAD for sometime, as it’s too much to stomach! As for the finale, well, I’m more interested in who wins AFP than in who wins the game! 🙂

Thanks for another great BB summer, Lisa!! Can’t even remember what it was like before you! I reallly haven’t been on as much this season. Lack of interest and a bit of BB burnout!! I remember getting an award for cimmenting the most on here!! Still
have it too. But that was when BB was still good. lol
But once an addict always an addict!! What is it with this show?? 🤔
I’ll be glad/sad when it is over, as always. Good to know we have you blogging Survivor and hopefully you’ll be back here next summer. But where you go, we shall follow!! That sounded a bit stalkerish. Lol

I thot it was overdone and gauche. especially the HOH room!!! And the BR now that I think about it…;) But its for a bunch of kids that don’t give a rip and don’t clean it so they prolly never even noticed it!!lol I did kind of like the apple room. That was better than some years. the couch looked comfy and the apples on the walls were cool. But they do it all as a theme…..not for a Decorator of the Year award!! lol

Lisa, thank you for an amazing blog this season. It was way more interesting than BB19. I’m looking forward to the faux celebrity edition, and to the start of survivor.

I loved writing houseguests letters this season and getting to know my fellow bloggers. I have enjoyed this blog and it has been a great distraction and lifesaver during chemo for sure. Having cancer and having to get a new pacemaker in the same year has been uber stressful – this blog has made a hard time much easier. TV is such a guilty pleasure for me.

Shout outs to all you beautiful people, Bobo, Sherry, Margie, Astra, Karla, Sandra, Star, Grannyo, Jeanne, and Jolee – everyone else too – I’m working from memory here.

But I will miss Lisa most of all who put up with all of us nutbags and guided us through yet another season of BB. No matter how bad the season is, I will always be back, just like the terminator. Thanks Lisa!!! I bow to the Goddess!!!

This really wasn’t the worst season and if all you people can do is complain WHY the Hell did you watch? The final three houseguests are the final three because of Paul plain & simple. Everyone thought they were Paul’s bestie and that is a fact. I think Paul should win but would NOT be surprised if the jury calls him out and gives the win to Josh or God Forbid Christmas.

Now my daughter is getting her port put in tomorrow.When I pray for her I will pray for you sweetheart. At 84 years old, I am a stronger woman and other woman can see that I came out fine. OT, (again) Nothing going on here at BB, so I’ll tell you about my precious mother. She would tell me when I was in school. Look for the girl that’s all alone and sit with her at lunch time or introduce her to your friends. The principle of my school saw what I was doing and asked me if I would take the new girl’s as they came and introduce them to your friends. I remember one girl that came and wanted to play jacks with us, but didn’t have any jacks, I gave her half of mine. We sat for hours in the hall playing jacks.Memories. Hope I havent bored you.💕💕

Good manners never go out of style. You can always pick out the kids that were raised with the kinds of values your mom gave you. When we would get a new student part way through the year I would always ask one of those great kids if they could introduce the new person around, invite them to the football game etc. – the kids would always say “love to, Ms. G” – a little kindness goes a long way in this world – sometimes we forget that, me too – Thanks for reminding me.

C'est Moi September 20, 2017 at 1:39 pm: So much of what we do is forgotten over time but I shall never forget my Mom whispering in my ear from a great distance one summer night early 50’s in the “barn” midway between Camp Whitethorn (Boys camp) and Camp Minnetoska (Girls camp) in Garrett County, Maryland. It was dance night and the boys and girls were mixing quite well for boys who still hated girls and girls who hated boys, equally. One frail little girl sitting off by herself was not dancing with anybody and it was evident to me, at least, that she really wanted to and My Mom’s voice echoed over and over to go ask that little girl to dance. She really was even more frail standing than sitting and when we danced her feet never even came close to touching the floor, but her smile was all that really mattered at the time. My Mom always tried to steer me right from the get go.

Hey does anyone know when the new BB starts? Looking forward to it and being here again sooner then later!
I really don’t care if Paul gets second place in fact I would love to see him in front of the jury hoping to win and seeing him lose again! It’s like taking him to the highest high and letting him fall to the lowest low! I don’t know seems appropriate to me! Anyways I’ll see everyone after the show tonight most if you will know long befor me I’m gonna try not to get on here before it airs in San Diego so I can see the clomax f before reading about it! Lol

Debbie, I can relate to what you are saying. Jeanne I are from California, but now we live in North Carolina. It has been our custom on New Year’s Eve, to call our family in California and let them hear the the count down from Time’s Square. We’re yelling “Happy New Year” when they still have three hours! 😊 😊
The first time I did this to my dad, he couldn’t believe it! 😊 I told him that in three hours he would watch a “replay ” of our New Year’s Eve celebration! LOL! I love my dad! 💘

JuJu …. Thanks for the times on Josh’s soliloquy on what a awesome (his words) game he has played! I could not believe what he was saying!!!! He said ‘I won’t see how really good my game play was until I watch it back.’ I think a lot of people wished they could have played like me but didn’t. I wish a lot of people could have stepped up like I did but they didn’t! I played a great game! OMG

He really believes he was the instigator of all that has happened in the house and does not see Paul’s play at all! It’s absolutely amazing how delusional people can be about their own personalities.

Thanks again for those times. I was just getting back home and was too tired to watch the feeds.

By the way, I have enjoyed your posts this season!

I don’t get the feeds so I search the other sites every morning to see what has transpired overnight (just as junksies does – Ha)… Anyway… those aren’t my words because I would get too frustrated listening and typing down what all of these crazy house guests say! But there are others who do -so I enjoy reading what they say. And then knowing that there are others who might want to know about it as well – I like sharing!

It was me, it was my sister-in-law and her dumb ass husband. They dodged a bullet big time. At the last minute they went to his bosses house inland. The relationship between my in laws and their son-in-law is destroyed, though. Killed by stubbornness. My mother-in-law is 100% Italian you don’t put her grandkids, even though they are 18 and 24 and her daughter in danger and live to tell the tale. She is a pistol!!! Thanks for asking Margie, all is well.

Insurance covers property damage. Sensible evacuation covers life, liberty and another tomorrow.

Margie – Jeff picked up a gig on ABC (network tv!!!) so he might not be back at the after-show. But then, it does tape in California – so maybe. Glad you had fun at the end of your trip. The last cruise we went on our Shay was 2 yrs old – misery! But good memories.

I voted for Trejo because he had to listen to Paul non-stop and deserves a reward. The reality vote goes to Josh – a girl can dream.

We just finished watching the final BBAD! Yay! I can’t believe Xmess’ superior attitude! She was fixing her hair, dinner was ready, Josh was hungry and patiently waiting for her to join them. First she said to go ahead and not wait for her. When Paul said he was fixing her plate, she said she was not very hungry! Then, she comes into the room and asks if they wanted her to eat with them! WHAT???? Then she approaches Josh, who is fake praying. Xmess proceeds to lecture him. She said, “When a girl’s getting ready, you patiently wait for her and you are grateful for her presents when she finally shows up! Now, say something nice to me! “. She is beyond disgusting! Who does she think she is? Barf!!😕
And, did you hear Paul’s prayer! 😕

Now, I have a very good suggestion for the next BBC. Instead of Production yelling out “Stop singing!”. They should say ” Stop swearing! “. Now, that would keep them busy! 😊 😊

My students decided that today, they would have a mock BB jury vote. (Yes, I do allow these kind of shenanigans in my classroom sometimes!) This is my only senior class this year and they are studying AP Physics.. so they need a little fodder now and then… today, they had each jury member and the final 3 characters. Faux Paul (their name for him) won the final HOH and took Josh to final 2. Paul won the $500k, with only one vote for Josh… Xmas. Cody won AFP, and he promptly dropped to his knees and asked Jessica to marry him giving her his $25k prize. Keep in mind, I teach at an all boys catholic college prep school. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants! Teenagers… gotta love them. (Yes, I give bonus point questions on BB, Survivor & TWD).

Thanks so much for allowing me to join in this little group of BB addicts! I’ve enjoyed you all immensely!

I just found out on another site that Dr. Will will be doing the
after show interviews and will be giving out ‘A Most Hated or
Disliked HG” award. But the corker that has me steaming is
they are not going to (if what I’m understanding of what I read
is true) show the interviews on CBS ALL ACCESS live….only
on FB. Well, since I don’t do FB, I’m screwed. Why have I not
cancelled my ALL ACCESS? I wanted to see the interviews
aftewards. If this isn’t true, would someone let me know. Thanks.

I want to ask ya’ll something. Did it seem to anyone else like
Paul deliberately lost the final comp so sure Josh would take him?
I couldn’t believe as easily as Paul has always answered similar
questions he missed so many tonight. But it didn’t matter as it turned
out. Josh still won, because he had the votes.

AC September 20, 2017 at 9:59 pm: No way. That would be the dumbest move in BB history for Paul not control his own destiny in final HOH and get voted out. Some of those questions threw me. Like the Elena one.

I wish Julie had asked Dom what she thought. She was eager to
say something and never got the chance. Ramses and Jillian never
got to say anything, either. I think they all should have gotten a
chance to speak.

Sherry… I agree, all of prejury should have had a say, but they will get their chance in the back yard interviews.

I ‘m still grinning from ear to ear at Paul’s loss… again!! He was surprised and confused at some of the jury questions and had lousy answers because he didn’t expect it. He didn’t look happy. After Matt’s vote was read, the turning point for Paul…was Marks vote for Josh, he knew right then that he was doomed and was going to loose!!

Raven super glued herself to Paul on stage and played to the audience with her indescribable expressions that made me want to puke.

Xmess was lead to believe by the boys that she was going to win AFP. Did you see her mouth open wide enough to land a 747 at the AFP vote tally of more than 15 million!!?? Poor thing…she thought that vote was for her!!

I am beside myself in happiness! So elated I could pee my pants!!

Off to find the back yard interviews. Probably on YouTube…

by pod casts and After Buzz? They were able to get a little
more info from the hgs, because they didn’t have someone
in their ear telling them what they could and could not say.
