BB19 — Nominations

Hi, y’all!

First off, a message to all of our readers who are currently in the path of Hurricane Harvey: please know that we’re all keeping you in our thoughts. I’m in north Texas so I’m out of the path of the hurricane but for those of you on the coast and in central Texas, stay safe! Harvey’s scary but we’re a strong state full of strong people.

Secondly, here’s what is happening in the Big Brother House:

Jason is the HoH and he just made his nominations. He put Matt and Raven on the block. Now, he, Paul, and Alex are telling Matt and Raven that they’re both going up as pawns and that the plan is to backdoor Kevin. Matt is feeling so safe that he’s even said that, if he wins veto, he’ll use it on Raven and stay on the block. What Matt doesn’t realize is that he is the target this week.

On a personal level, everyone in the house would rather get rid of Raven. This week, everyone in the house has been talking about how tired they are Raven. Paul and Christmas have complained about how her accent is always changing. Kevin thinks that she is lying about her diseases. Kevin has said that he only tolerates her because he’s scared that all of the viewers love her. Paul, however, has been telling everyone that Matt is the threat and he’s the one that has to go. According to Paul, Matt would come for revenge if Raven was voted out but Raven will just fall apart without Matt around.

Paul’s real plan, however, is to get Matt evicted and then have all the blame fall on Jason and Alex. Paul feels that he can then use Raven to break up Alex and Jason. At the same time, Paul has also said that he wouldn’t mind losing Kevin this week so the plans could always change.

The only other big news today is that the temptation tree lit up. Nobody took an apple, which is sad. Is anyone, other than Paul, interested in playing the game?

ok from the other post – im inward in Texas but have friends that have a house on galveston beach. We were there 2 weeks ago. So scared for them. Fingers crossed and prayers. They are home now, but so worried about their house there. Their house is so high up – still she sent vids of the cameras on the back porch – the water was on there – whoa

🍏 No one took an apple…WOW! BB knows this is a sleeper season so they hurry up and add an apple tree to hopefully add some excitement to this game. These kool aid drinking HGs are so lame. I guess no one reached for an apple because Paul didn’t give his devotees permission to pluck one from the tree. 🍎

OT, just talked to my daughter is Texas. She is safe from the storm. Will get lots of rain from it. My granddaughter has to evacuate just to be safe.
Back to BB, Jason is a Paul wannabe. Very disappointed.

Jeanne… in response to your question on the last page about where your daughter lives and if we live near there… Such a small world – we also live in Bastrop! As your daughter probably told you we could receive a massive amount of rain if the hurricane stalls as is expected.

JuJu August 26, 2017 at 8:25 am: Sherry – there are indeed two Bastrop cities – including ours in central Texas. We are the city in Texas that had a major wildfire 6 years ago that destroyed close to 1700 homes and burned for weeks. We also have a major river running thru the city which can flood so we have gotten both fire and rain!

Jeanne. So happy to hear your daughter is out of the path of harms way. Hope your granddaughter got to safety too.
I have and Aunt and cousins in Houston. I hope all they will get there is rain. They have had their basement flooded several times in the last.
I dont know how anyone can stay during a hurricane. I would be out of Dodge ASAP!! I get scared when we get winds over 30 or 40 mph!! Lots of prayers for all in Harvey’s path!!

Thank you Lisa! I am still hoping someone will wake up and attempt to get Paul backdoored! What an opportunity Jason has now! Production may not allow it!😕 I was hoping someone would pick an Apple 🍎 that would change the game! oh, well, I was just dreaming! 😇
I also want to send out my thoughts and prayers to those in harm’s way. We have several family members who lives in Texas, but they will probably have a lot of rain and maybe electric outage. They are prepared for it! 💘

Whoa girl…slow your roll! Despite appearances, I am not always on this blog. Lisa answered your question about AFP quite nicely and so did I, but maybe not in enough detail, or fast enough to your liking, for if I had perhaps we would not be having this dialog now.

I recall a previous kerfuffle between us and for no good reason. You said that I made you feel foolish, for what I don’t know…but I sincerely apologized and to this day, you have never accepted that apology. Which is fine, that’s your prerogative. Because of that tiff, I am wary of you.

Now, you feel the need to come at me again, with irrational statements. Mirroring those statements, for the record…I’m not ignoring you, because I answered you…I am not fighting either…I have always liked you too…you have never done anything to me and I have never said that you did anything to me. You are entitled to your opinions. As far as I am concerned nothing more needs to be said.

Janna, I agree..I like Jason and he could use it with a 2nd baby on the way. I really dislike Cody and Jess..dont like any of the others except Kevin and Josh..but dont want to reward Josh’s bulling. Kevin doesnt need it..but yes, Jason is a good choice for me as well

He’s done well in comps. What he needs to do is play his own HOH and stop listening to Paul and his “Ride or Die” Alex as she and Paul have an F2. Unbeknownst to Jason.
He needs to take this shot to get Paul out if he’s ever going to have a chance to win!!! I didn’t think he was as mesmerized by Paul as the others but Alex is in his ear agreeing with Paul. It’s so frustrating to watch!!! 😖😫

up fooling me, but IMHO she wants to win more than stay
loyal to a friend or “ride or die”. Her biggest mistake will be
thinking she will go to the end with Paul in F3. He will get
rid of her before then. He’s already laying the groundwork
for getting Jason out next week, since he can’t play for HOH
again.

I am okay with them finally getting rid of Matt or Raven.. I would get rid of Raven she the one that can win a HOH. Matt can win anything. Paul will get his don’t worry but I still think he is playing the game. He can’t help he playing with some dummies. I am not team Paul but he is playing.

junksies August 26, 2017 at 2:01 am: Candy…I’ve heard conflicting stories of how and where they met. One was at a “Meet and Greet,” and another was at one of his shows (he is in a band). Now that I think about it, it could have been one in the same. I don’t really think they know each other to any great degree. There is a picture of them on the internet posing with their arms around each other. Can you imagine backstage at a concert…”Hi I’m Raven and I have gastroparesis.” It raises the question though if he is the reason she is on the show. I don’t see him encouraging her presence on BB if he’d known her well.

i’m so over this season. this is clearly Paul’s game to win as no one came to the house to play. i don’t even feel like watching the episodes or reading the blogs anymore. i’ll just tune in on finale night to watch Paul walk out $500k richer. i really hope they do a bbt season this year. hopefully that’ll be better. stay safe, Texans!

I’m with you Flery. I stopped watching several weeks ago…it makes my blood boil to watch these ppl bow down to Paul, not enjoyable for me so I don’t put myself thru that misery. BUT, I do enjoy this blog and I’m hoping I will read on here one day soon that Paul is being backdoored. A girl can dream.

Even though I didn’t lose my home my neighborhood was devastated and couldnt work for a week and didnt have ( hot ) water for 3 weeks and no electric for 2. This hurricane is supposed to be much worse than Sandy..prayers for all in Texas

I won’t keep rehashing what is going on and how we all feel about Paul. Except to say it’s funny how a season goes. I hated him until the end last year then liked him a lot. This year it’s reversed!!
And the only reason he doesn’t want anyone taking an apple is he’s afraid someone will have an opportunity to put some kind of Hex or punishment in him. What is WRONG with these spineless idiots????? They could get an advantage! Do they really think Paul is going put a horse head in their beds or something??? Lol

Also love that they all see thru Raven. I knew We did! But funny to hear her fellow HGS talking about it. Lol

Just started watching BBAD and also funny hearing Alex and Christmas comparing notes on Elena. Where do they get these fake nutcade HGS??? Smh. Gotta laugh or cry this year I guess so…. rather laugh AT them!!😄😁

Star: I think BB really messed up with the apple thing. I’ve read
and re-read the choices. None sound very appealing. They
should have made them monetary challenges (the one thing they
kind of understand) with a hex attached. Then they might have
taken the risk of picking one of the apples. I think it hilarious
no one has taken an apple but Mark. He did so, because he felt
he had no other choice but to risk it.

Paul keeps telling everyone to ignore the apples, because he’s afraid someone might weaken and mess up his multitude of schemes.

Alex and Christmas are constantly going back and trashing Elena
and Jess or Cody, but so many things they say are out and out
lies. Christmas has accused almost every male in the house of
making a pass at her or interested in her. I nearly gag each time
another lie drops out of her mouth about the guys wanting her and
her stopping them in their tracks. That’s been one of the problems
with this season’s females. They lie about things that don’t matter
and only make themselves look smaller. They’re all nuts. As much
as Alex likes to beat on Jason and constantly telling the guys to
shut up so she can talk and monopolize the conversations…she
is leaving the impression of either being or wanting to be a
dominatrix. Is there such a thing as a Napoleonette complex?

sherry. I personally think they should have left it all a mystery. Kind of like the Temptation twist. It would have made sense too as it would continue the theme. Just tell them That there are advantages and disadvantages, in whatever form They choose, and then just light it up at times they are bored or locked inside. Who doesn’t love a grab bag?? lol.

I agree about Alex taking Paul to F2. More people dispise him in jury. Jason didn’t really make any enemies there I don’t believe. If Jason doesn’t make it to F2 tho I’m sure he’ll win AFP. Well
A good chance anyway. Never say SURE in BB. LOL

Star…Love me a grab bag!!! Agree with you that BB should have been vague. I mean why spell it out? Mystery is more enticing!!

Things could change regarding AFP to Jason but at this point my gut says Cody is going to take it. After Jessica said to vote for Cody and not her, fans must be listening because he is way up and she dropped to 8%. Cody is at 47% I believe. He was at 34%.

Thank you for the good wishes in Texas. I live in Round Rock Texas. I’ve lived through Hurricane Sandy when I lived in N.Y. so I’m not that worried. But I do live on the first floor, and pool is right outside my window. Anyway Lisa, I want to Thank you for the great updates.

Why is BB letting Josh get away with continually eating while being a HN? One of the guys got in trouble…either Mark or Matt for eating a tiny tiny piece of a potato chip the size of a thumbnail. There is a good chance that Josh ate an entire grilled cheese sandwich!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH BB!!!???

Thank you for the kind words & prayers for S. TX. We live SE of San Antonio… pretty windy & rainy here… but we’ve still got utilities! Honestly, my hubs is more concerned about his cattle than anything else.

Still reading your blog Lisa, though not much else. Just busy with the new school year right now.

I’ve had a change of heart regarding Paul. IF he makes it to the end, he deserves to win. He took out the only other players actually playing the game. So many have squandered their HOH, missing a perfect chance to get Paul out. (How can Cody be the only one to even take a swipe?) I’ve hated Paul’s bullying game, (he won’t be a “beloved winner like Dr. Will or even Evel Dick!)but at least he had game.

Prayers to all feeling the storm in Tx.
I can’t imagine the purpose of a game that Paul can keep people from playing. Isn’t he controlling enough in this game? It should be something they all have to play. Maybe a draw with unknown temptations and cash like Junksie mentioned.
CBS needs to do something to stir things up since the house has nothing new to watch.

I don’t see Alex calling Jason her ride or die and then not taking him to final 2, if she is the one deciding. I don’t think her and Jason are that stupid, but we shall see. As far as AFP for me that will be whoever bounces Paul’s disgusting nose and beard picking dirty ass out the door. Jessica and Cody for that’s a joke after they intitially got screwed by the house after the first hoh they were too busy screwing each other to play the game it was mostly complaining, the bullying happened much later. BTW Dom was the first one to really call out Paul so by logic on this blog she should be AFP, right? Also, she wasn’t a disgusting skank, that should be worth something. I was not a fan of hers, but she was true to her alliance and her principles, that I respect.

First of all, prayers and strength to all of the people affected by Harvey, not just today, but in the weeks ahead.
This thought crossed my mind a few days ago, when Jason read the letter about the baby. Could that have been a prearranged idea to get votes for him. We saw the reaction of the HGs that evening, I have read on here about bloggers saying they will now vote for him for favorite player because of the baby. I am probably completely off base, but stranger things have happened. Maybe I watch too many soap operas!

marlou21… You are not the only one that thought perhaps this was a pre-arranged ploy. I didn’t put my thoughts out there for fear some might think that I went off the rails!! Lol. I am suspicious of some of the houseguests. There’s a lot of money on the line and some will say and do anything. There was an odd shout out to Holly, then there was the convoluted uncomfortable explanation to Julie while on the couches during the live show and finally all throughout he was exceptionally perturbed that Cody may have a child that would steal his spotlight. Jason was the only one who had a total meltdown over Cody having a child. So it makes me wonder and time will tell.

I was watching another BB19 podcast and they were discussions how Paul keeps the remaining HGs apart and not talking to each other. Like Alex and Jason in one room and so on. They are accepting him doing this and keeping in their own little pods. They say he tells them he will talk to the others for them. I’m thinking there is no way someone would keep me from communicating. Then of course I would be on the outs with Paul because I would probably ask if they had final 2 or 3 with him. I do wish someone would speak up and there would be a free for all.

I was suspicious when Jason read the letter and put it back in the envelope really fast before anyone could see what it said and he only read that part to the hgs. I thought maybe I was being paranoid. I’m glad some of you also saw it that way, makes me feel better . 😉

Got a dose of REAL BB by watching YouTube recap videos of Dr. Will’s two seasons — BB 2 and season 7 BB All Stars. He’s brilliant, funny, conniving & totally charming in the way he strategizes & plays the game. THAT is the way BB should be played.

A few years back, we became so frustrated with the way houseguests would vote “with the house” saying, “this is what the house wants” as an excuse! IMO, it’s been downhill ever since.

It was the comp where the HGs trash the house. I don’t like this comp….very unnecessary destruction of property.

two August 26, 2017 at 9:12 pm: I agree this one goes too far; however with this group of hgs the before and after pictures of the trashing would be hard to tell apart. At least the kitchen is usually acceptable. Unnecessary destruction like that makes my skin crawl. Like the rubber ducky. Like Paul in general. Like some of the under cover goings on at night, etc, etc.

PTSD is what they said Megan and Cody suffered from . However after seeing this year BB I say it stands for Paul Traumatic Stress Disorder , as he has control over everyone now .

Well, it could have been worse! I don’t know what Josh will do with the POV. I’m not sure how he feels about Matt and Raven. I don’t think he want’s to backdoor Kevin! He probably doesn’t have the guts to put up Paul, and if he did, would the minions go along with it?? They have to wake up to the truth of Paul’s plotting sometime, don’t they??? I guess we will see! Let’s have a little drama, PLEASE!! I think if … And that is a big IF … they were to evict Paul, maybe they will have the guts to start playing the game and grab a few apples! Ya think?? We can only hope! Have a nice evening everyone! 💘

Jeanne, I, too, thought Jason might be able to figure out
he needed to get Paul out. But Alex won’t let him have a free
moment to himself, except when Paul is in his ear poisoning
him against Kevin. Jason is not going to be very proud of himself
when he watches this season back and sees how Paul used him
and lied to him about almost everyone. How he had a chance
to make the boldest move of the season and blew it by being
a twit and poor player with no strategy except for Paul’s.
