Big Brother 19 — Just A Quick Update On Noms and the Temptation Comp

Hi y’all!

First off, please forgive the briefness of this update. I’m basically going to have to post and then run. But I did want to give everyone a quick update on who won the Temptation Comp and what’s going with the nominations.

So, yesterday, I thought that Jessica had made a big mistake by announcing that she had the Halting Hex because I figure it would just cause Paul to target Mark and Elena. Well, it turns out that I was wrong. Instead, Paul has decided that he’s going to go ahead and nominate Jessica and Cody, just so he can force them to use the hex and take it out of the game. Jessica has been hinting that she can use the hex repeatedly for several weeks but, of course, that’s not true and Paul has said that he’s pretty sure that Jessica is lying. Assuming Jessica uses the hex this week (and there’s no reason why she wouldn’t), that’ll be it for that temptation. Paul is assuming that one of his allies will win HoH and take either Cody or Jessica out the following week.

(As I sit here writing this, Paul is making his nominations but he’s pretty much told everyone in the house that he’s going to put up Jessica and Cody.)

The Temptation Competition occurred earlier today. Though the feeds were down for the comp and it’s been a bit of struggle to keep straight who won and who lost, it appears that Mark won the competition. That means that if he is safe for the week. That also means that, if the veto is used, Elena will probably be the replacement nominee.

Coming in last, in the temptation comp, was Jason. That means that Jason is going to go up on the block as the third nominee.

So, when the feeds come back, our nominees for eviction will be Cody, Jessica, and Jason.

The nomination ceremony, by the way, seems to be taking longer than usual. Drama, maybe? If so, we’ll see it on Sunday!

As always, we’ll see what happens!

Cody and Jessica will most likely win this week’s battle by getting themselves out of eviction… but I think they will lose the war if they create such a fuss over their both being on the block… that they might further alienate the rest of the house. Could be an interesting week!

Come on now live feeders give us your blow by blow updates. There are fireworks going off in the house from round BBT 7:30. Jessica and Cody going at it. Paul and Cody going at it. Josh and Mark going at it. Everybody is arguing…

Paul, telling the house, asked how Cody passed the psych test to get in the game…that anyone who can’t control his emotions should not be in the house. Hipocrite!! He loves a psycho but only if they are on his leash like his big buddy lap dog Josh. He can’t control Cody who is his only real competition.

And the whole house is a bunch of whimps falling on every word Paul gas to say like he lays golden eggs . I only wish Jessica had put up somebody the whole house liked and then backdoor Paul . Kind of been hard as they are all so loyal to Paul but it would have been worth the risk !

Hi BB fans, I New my nomination of evicting Big Brother did not occur and I not really watching Big Brother this season as it is the biggest joke often season. But I enjoy reading the blog. No surprise that call is running the house as this is my big brother wanted him to control the game and only he can blew the victory. I know most watching don’t like Cody and Jess but as we all should know his play the game strong with all the power BB Paul blew-up Cody’s game. They both know they are gone and it will happen in a ew weeks as the righting is on the wall. My hope is BIg Brother’s ratings drop and theygo back to games if the first few seasons. Then you won’t find people like Jason on the show. Look forward to reading your blog and reading the comments.

I think Paul is a good player but on a personal level, he is one of my least liked players ever. His thrill in putting people down does not work for me. Plus, just his authoritative attitude, does nothing for me.
He won’t win this season, that is for sure. Too many people are using him as a stepping stone and it’s working. In time, he will be gone, although I think he will make it to the jury.

But…what is with the cry baby men this season?????? Geez

Paul playing his own game and I agree with you Bruce just a matter of time he will be gone. To many on one team will spilt up. Paul likes controlling people and talk about spoil hmmm when he does not get his way he uses threats. The hex is only good for one person not two. So what up thinking both Cody and Jessica will not be safe. If I was a houseguest in the house I would use Paul to the end of the game then at the end when you have to pick a player for sure it would not be Paul

Halting hex rise eviction night dies! I went on U tubed and put in Halting hex and it’s saying it will halt the eviction and nobody will go home!!! I read that some of you thing it only keeps one person safe!! I’m pretty sure nobody goes home if it’s played so means that Paul’s HOH will be a bust as well and I can’t wait to see his face lol! It’s gonna be s fun night in the big brother house after it’s played! I’m loving it!!! 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️

I guess we will have to wait until Sunday to see what power the Hex has! I would like for it to completely cancel eviction for all three nominees. However, they will need to have some double evictions soon because there are too many people in the house at this point in the game, right?

junksies July 29, 2017 at 3:02 am: It is the called Halting Hex. It halts the eviction of only ONE person. Jessica has the power to halt one eviction, either herself or someone of her choice. If she uses it, it becomes a non-eviction night. She can use it either this week or next.

I poked around some websites and watched every second of tonight’s bbad which was one of the best ever.

After the nomination ceremony Jessica Cody and Paul were in the HOH. There was a big blow up. Cody was defending Jessica. Cody got in Paul’s face. Jessica got really mad at Cody for losing his cool. Later Cody and Jessica were fighting really bad because of how Cody lost his temper and Jessica was chastising him that it was unacceptable behavior and is this the way he behaves in the real world to which Cody responded yes, sometimes. Jessica wanted her space I guess to think so Cody picked up all of his clothes and left to go stay in another room to give her the space that she requested. So for a while they were both in separate bedrooms brooding by themselves. Jessica was angry because she felt Cody was blowing up her game again. Cody realizes that and that’s why he he wants to possibly make her even more angry at him so that she doesn’t use the hex on him. He wants to go home and get out of her way that she has a better chance of winning the game. That’s what he was telling Mark. Later on they kind of reconciled and ended up back on the round bed at 11:58 just as Bebe was going off. She says she can’t not use the hex on him. There is real genuine caring deep feelings between the two of them. Cody was almost in tears as he was talking to her during a portion of their discussion.

Part 2 is Mark and Elena. And part 3 is Mark and Josh

Lots of drama in the house tonight.

Part 3 Mark and Josh…

Josh was again pounding pots and pans together with his focus on Mark who lost his cool and tried to yank the pots out of Josh’s hands. Everybody was just watching and laughing which is encouraging Josh. Kevin was the only one who tried to put a stop to it. Later on Mark was apologizing to Elena for his behavior. Elema said his behavior was unacceptable to her and the rest of the house. He apologized to Elana, the house and in length to Josh walking over to shake Josh’s hand and Josh refused and said that he was going to keep on pounding pots and pans. I thought it was extremely poor sportsmanship for Josh not to accept the apology and to not shake his hand. Disgusting.

And even worse than that is Christmas sucking up to Josh “oh you poor thing it’s okay you didn’t have to accept his apology. You don’t have to accept his apology tonight or tomorrow or even in the backyard interviews it’s okay.” She was hugging him and stroking him like a little puppy dog as he laid his head on her shoulder. Not one word telling him that he’s behaving childishly and really should discontinue with the pots and pans. Instead she’s encouraging the behavior it benefits her agenda.

i don’t like for Christmas to baby Josh but i did like her talking to Jess. I’m still so confused. Jess is saying she can only save her or cody. so i dont get it. i still don’t believe if it cancelled the eviction why are she and cody so depressed and he’s telling her to use it on herself?

tendr… Let me try to help explain. Jess and Cody are both on the block and let’s say it stays that way if veto is not used. Just before the actual eviction happens she can halt it. Both are saved, nobody goes home.

2nd example.. Jess wins veto, pulls Cody down. He is safe. Somebody, anybody replaces Cody. Again, just before the eviction, Jess pulls herself off, thereby halting the eviction, nobody goes home. Paul’s HOH is wasted.

Does that help? Hope so.

I didn’t like most of the talk Xmas had with Jess. Xmas has her hidden agenda and I saw right thru what she was doing. Mainly to separate Cody from Jess. That’s what Paul and Xmas’ agenda is…to separate the two of them because ultimately they are a bit threatened by them whether they will admit it or not. Same for Mark and Elena…they want the two of them separated. Paul and Xmas don’t care about Matt and Raven being a couple because Paul controls them.

i’m cutting and pasting this and to me it’s saying two different things….
so aggravating…
If they accept, the chosen houseguest will have the power to halt one of the next four evictions during the live show, keeping anyone from being evicted that night and making it a non-eviction week. The houseguest would have the power to save someone from eviction, potentially save an ally from the chopping block, or even save themselves.

tendr… I think what is adding to your confusion is that Jessica is being vague about the power which is part of her goal…to keep them in the dark.

I wish that she had only told the house that she had the temptation and stopped there instead of saying she and Cody are safe and Paul’s HOH would be a waste. It only emboldened Paul to flush it out. Nah…he would have put both of them up this week anyway. He is obsessed about this power and I’m enjoying seeing him squirm. He incorrectly believes the power isn’t what she says it is because he expected something to happen during nominations and it didn’t. Now he is waiting for something to happen at veto…it won’t. It will be a blindside when on the live show when she pulls down either herself or Cody. Paul will then crap is drawers and have to admit this temptation was better than his. Nah…he will never admit that!!

tendr…. They are depressed because of what happened in the HOH room with Paul. It impacts their game moving forward and also potentially outside of the house. Cody knows he let her down but can’t change and she’s realizing that behavior can’t fit in her life. Sad.

The showmances are turning sour and both couples are now realizing the downside.

Well, I NEVER thought I would be rooting for Jess and Cody not only for this week, but to be final two!!! Yes, I think Jess wasted her HOH, but at that point she was really trying to spruce up her social game and be one with the house. Not her best move, but I understand where she was coming from. Now she knows. If Cody or Jess couldn’t win this week’s HOH, I am glad Paul did because I love that HIS HOH will also be wasted! Of course he will claim his brilliance by taking the hex out of play. My only hope now is that Jess or Cody win the next HOH and put up Paul and Josh!

On another note why aren’t any of Paul’s minions afraid that they are at the bottom of his alliance and taking advantage of the opportunity to help get rid of him before he gets rid of them? Aside from Jess, Cody and the snake, is ANYONE else really playing the game?

All the others are pretty much following the puppet master. Mark tries at times but he’s more brawn than brains. They say Elena is intelligent but I’m waiting for her to show it. Paul knew Dom was smart so he had to get her out. They say Matt and Raven told Paul they threw the HOH to Paul because they knew he would do the right thing with it.
I’ve got a picture in my head of Paul brooding all year over his loss last season. I would imagine he watched every season of BB from 1 to 18 over and over. He’s a power hungry mentality that won’t do well if he loses again.
Jess needs to quit talking about the hex and just use it on Thursday. I do look forward to that eviction night.

I love watching BB. I have watched every episode from every season. IMO the early years were the best when the game was new, the players were new and the competitions were new.
I hate saying that the game is rigged, by production, to some extent but this year has been so predictable. First Paul is given the gift of safety for several weeks (production really wants him around). Then Cody is evicted (wow, just what production wanted so they could bring him back). Then what a shocker…Cody is back. What’s up with Josh…(production is thrilled and maybe they slyly suggest to hg in the diary room that maybe it would be best to keep Josh around, great for ratings). Looks like Cody may be leaving again…no…production steps in again and Jess gets the hex to save him. The temptations seem to be geared to keep productions favorites in the game.
Maybe I am wrong but this season seems so guided by production.

As Janna says… the HEX cancels the whole eviction. Jessica has the power to cancel any eviction – including if she had not been put up on the block or not.

She isn’t just taking one person off the block…. she has the ability to cancel the WHOLE eviction – either this week or next.

And I don’t agree that Paul’s HOH is wasted. Fireworks happened after he put them on the block because they misread their housemates -again- and thought that there was NO WAY Paul would put them on the block. If Cody doesn’t get his way he explodes and Paul caused it to happen… so the week isn’t wasted. No one else would have taken the risk he did to flush out the Hex -except Paul. That’s why he has fans.

JuJu July 29, 2017 at 10:40 am: Jess announced at the end of the televised show that she and Cody couldn’t be put up “for weeks”. If anyone else had gotten HOH I don’t think they would have had the nerve to put BOTH Jessica and Cody up. They talk big… but look at Alex’s HOH! She wasn’t nearly as aggressive as she said she was going to be. Anyone else would have taken a safer route and maybe just put up Cody. But I do agree that Paul would have worked hard to get his ideas for nominees put into their head – and he might have succeeded!

No Nono….Paul has others do so much of his dirty work for him then takes the praise. He’s a chicken poop. He talks about how he can fight and brags all the time. I’m so tired of him. He’s so goofy swaying around the house swearing and yelling. He’s a dork …and I think bb should chain cody and paul together…..

Last night’s BBAD was must see tv! It was painful to see two men get chewed out by their showmance ladies – and possibly broken up with on live tv. That is exactly why showmances are not a good idea… These ladies are smart enough -now- to realize that they may have jeopardized their game. But I doubt their romances are over. Human nature… LOL

Mark almost lost it towards Josh. It takes alot of will power to not take a punch at that big mouth and Mark almost was at that point. Kevin stepped in. I was glad he did.
Later Mark admitted to Paul he was bullied as a kid so he had a hard time not reacting.

I am pulling for Jody!

I agree with JuJu..Paul likes to take risks. The other couples and guests don’t have the guts. They all voted Paul to go against The Battle To Return!!! I think after they get rid of Cody and Jessica , they should start playing the game…I HOPE!

But Jessica wimped out and put up people not really capable of harming their game. I only see Cody and Paul really playing this game! I just don’t get why Jessica and Cody are so angry. They have the halting hex and will not be voted out this week. So why are they pissed off. Did they expect to not be put up for the entire life of the hex? If that is what they wanted why did she open her mouth and tell everyone about it? If they are going to be angry they should be angry at Jessica.

She said that her and Paul had some kind of an agreement that he went back on. So I don’t know what that agreement was but apparently she misunderstood and that’s why she’s upset. One of the reasons anyway… the other reason is what went down in the HOH last night with the three of them.

I think did the best thing flushed out the hex which was main target but she lied again about it to Kevin and was immediately call to DR
loved it when apparently DR called Josh in and before production came on and told him to stop let it slip he had to stop harassment or go home he got out he had to cool it and he was not ready to go home loved to of seen his face when Mark went up to him and took pots & pans away from him they cut feed as as soon as Mark started towards him. but other HG telling about look on his face priceless and then never heard anything when Cody punched hole in bathroom wall not sure how broken glass came into play shut down feeds long time oh well game goes on.

I am a foster mom for kittens from my local shelter. I care for them until they are at least 2 months old or a little longer if they are taking meds. The avatar show the kitties I have at the moment.
