Big Brother 19 — Messages From Above

Hi, y’all!

I’m back from the lake so I can finally get a little better caught up on what’s been happening inside the house. Like most of America, the Big Brother Houseguests started out today by going outside and watching the eclipse. Production gave them special glasses and everything.

Before going outside, Josh asked Jason, “Is it okay to look at the sun without the glasses?”

“Try it and let me know,” Jason replied.

(Those aren’t the exact words but that was the general gist of the conversation.)

After the eclipse, it was time for the veto meeting. To no one’s great surprise, Jason used the veto on himself and Christmas named Mark as his replacement. The plan is to evict Mark on Thursday and I don’t really see any way for Mark to change anyone’s mind. No one considers Matt to be a threat.

(That said, if I was Matt, I would probably be a little annoyed that, after using the veto on Jason last week, the favor was not returned this week. If Jason truly trusts everyone, why wasn’t he willing to use his veto on someone else and stay on the block, like Matt did? It probably has something to do with Jason not being an idiot.)

Who will be the target after Mark? Paul’s been saying that he would probably go after Matt and Raven but, actually, it sounds like he’s decided that Kevin cannot be trusted. He’s already telling people not to talk to Kevin, just as he did with Jessica, Cody, and Mark. On a normal season of Big Brother, people would be rebelling against Paul’s need to micromanage but this season, no one seems to care.

The only other excitement is that we’ve had two lockdowns today. First, there was someone with a bullhorn. I’m not sure what was said because sirens went off as soon as whoever it was started yelling. Then, after that, an airplane flew over the house and started to write something in the air. That led to another lockdown. Rumor has it that the plane wrote “VOTE *Something*”

The most interesting thing about the lockdowns was how panicked Paul got. As soon as the sirens went off and the production voice told the HGs to come inside, Paul was jumping up and herding everyone back in the house. Apparently, he’s figured out that, whatever was being yelled or written, wasn’t going to help his game.

If there was a BB that has turned me off as to future shows this is the one. I have never seen so many people with no backbone. They are literally giving the money to Paul. He’s so obnoxious. He treats everyone in the house like they’re morons and they act like they are. There’s absolutely no challenges by anyone. Paul antagonizes bullying He tells the houseguests not to talk to people who are playing the game. Paul treats people like they don’t matter. I guess that’s how he lives his life outside the house. Say what you will about him playing the game but at least do it with some humility and not all the meaness. I wonder if anyone else sees it as I do.

Sandy, I agree wholeheartedly, I’ve never been so disappointed in a BB before. I’m tired of being so let down by this season. Shame on production for stepping in and manipulating what I now refer to as the Paul Show.

So AGREE here…….Paul is selling the kool-aid and they keep drinking it – snoreeeeeeeee….how boring to see the backdoor used ALL the time………no one fighting, no one figuring out that Paul is EVIL to the core………worst season ever…..and how mean to just “stop talking to people”……but that is Paul. He wouldn’t last one tribal council on Survivor because the bad guy usually does not win in the end! After he WINS, these idiots are going to watch the entire season and realize how stupid they were compared to YOUR BOY……….ugh, annoying as hell!!! OH but CBS loves him apparently……..

At 7:09pm BBT, Paul/Alex tried to get Josh to verbally attack Kevin next. Josh tells him he won’t do it. (*good.) Josh said he respects Kev too much to do that to him.
Paul: “Yo, can you call him out one of these days?”
Josh: “No no no…”
Paul: “Why (not)? (Kevin’s) never gonna win a comp..”
Josh: “It’s not about that..I respect him.”
Paul: “He doesn’t respect you!”
Josh: “I don’t care.”
Alex: “You’re gonna let your fans down.”
Paul: “Then the next time he looks at you, why don’t you call’em out.”
Josh: “No, ’cause I don’t wanna do that.”
Paul: “Why not?”
Josh: “I don’t see the point in calling him out.”
Paul: “Watching him squirm.”
Josh keeps refusing Paul’s wishes for him to ‘call out’ Kevin.
Alex said to call Kevin “an old man”.
Josh: “Why don’t you call him out?”
Paul: “When it’s time to call him out, oh I will, don’t worry.” (*Yeah, right.)

So happy to hear Josh standing up to Paul telling him he won’t “call out Kevin” (aka Bully him, if you ask me!!)
What the heck is going on with production this year that they’re allowing all this bullying to go on?! I think it’s childish and utterly ridiculous! It makes the show horrible to watch, and speaking of bullies Paul seems to be the biggest bully instigator lately! You notice of course he doesn’t get his own hands dirty, doesn’t need to as he can get others to do it for him. I so wish they hadn’t brought him back this year! I wonder what they’re paying him!!
Well I’ve said my piece for now, spilled my guts for the moment!!

paul is getting 2 grand a week bc he is a vet the other housepets are getting 1 thousand a week they upped the pay this year it was 750.00 a week in the previous seasons

Paul , being on the show was me giving my family a gift of me being on tv. Me being on tv makes them happy. (SO SELF-SACRIFICING!..JUST FOR THEM RIGHT?)

Cmas & Paul list various reasons why they, along w/ Josh, are most deserving of AFP. Then, state why nobody else will get AFP. (HAH!)

I didn’t come back to win. I came back to entertain. Christmas, you had a hard start. Paul, it is so hard to have fans. (POOR BABY!!)

Paul, I’m insane right now. I felt alone. I felt alone for a long time. I felt pressure cause I have fans.

Paul says to Christmas, you, me, & Josh f3, we all get money 1st, 2nd, and AFP. One of us will get AFP. ( ARE THEY GOING TO HAVE THE SHOCK OF THEIR LIVES!!)

AC,. I do think that they each feel safe with Paul and that they are going to F3 with him. I would be worried that NO NONE in their alliance is worried about being on the bottom. If you are F3, you should be tallingvgame and KNOW the pecking order AND have a say in it, not just following whatever Paul says when he says it. Regardless, it is idiotic to have him go this far. At this point they should be plotting against him.

As much as I hate to admit it, Paul does deserve to win. Not because he is a master player, but because the others are just to stupid to play for themselves.

After Mark is evicted, everyone’s true strategy should start to unfold. Kevin is an easy target. He hasn’t done anything, he hasn’t won anything. That would be a waste to target him now. Paul should automatically become public enemy #1 if they were smart. He’s the biggest threat to win the whole thing. And if he’s available to be backdoored then it should be a no-brainer. IMO. But don’t blame Paul if the sheeple are too afraid to take a shot at the vet. I mean, his 3 weeks safety been expired. If not now, then when?

PS. Usually when my 17 year old daughter and I watch the show we each have our own favorites and least favorites. This year we are on the same page and now don’t care if we miss a show here or there. Often one of us or both are working while it is on, so I purchased CBS All Access so we didn’t have to miss any episodes. This year we both missed a few and didn’t bother going back to watch it.

in my honest opinion…NOT A ONE OF THEM DERSERVES TO GET AFP…they are all a bunch of gutless yo yo’s who can not think for themselves…u have gained a lot of respect for Josh over the last few weeks…he seems to be the only one at this point that will show even just a little bit of spinal cord against Paul’s wishes…maybe his days of pot and pan banging and singing are over…but overall and I have been watchi9ng since about season 3 or 4…this is by far the worst yr. yet and the worst group of houseguests this show has ever had…I am not going to come down from my soap box and vote to EVICT mark…go spend a couple of weeks chasing what’s her name around the jury house…even though she wants nothing to do with you… I’m out kids…

After last night or rather very early morning since I stay up so late…mark was asked when trying to get on the show if he’d ever physically hurt another player even if they banged pots and pans at you…josh looked surprised and said he was asked if he’d ‘do something with pots and pans’. (I was bored so half way listening) then it went to that music when they cut off live feeds.

SO YES production is overly involved. Which now has me wondering if it’s ever worth watching again.

I have heard and was reading some bits about a special temptation where someone will be offered some money to leave the house immediatly and head over to Jury and that some one from jury will be selected to re-enter the BB house…is there any truth to this or are we waiting for Paul to get evicted and then CBS can re-send him back into the house and someone else with get 10 or 15,000…

I agree with everyone about Paul and all the other non-playing houseguests!!! I could understand Paul wanting to win but why does be have to win the way he is (by controlling everyone,all the time). I don’t understand why he thinks this game play would be ok with his fans. I wasn’t a Paul fan but I never thought he would come back to play this type of game. I hope anyone wins but him!!!

I re-watched all of the interview tapes of the players. It gives you a different outlook on them. Some of them changed and of course for the worst.

two August 22, 2017 at 5:16 pm: Thanks a bunch, deb. This was some interesting reading. Grodner and Kass were called out in a national newspaper. I don’t think they or CBS cares at all since the show is still drawing in a mass of viewers. These people only listen to their pocketbooks.

Pocketbooks are what we used to call purses in the olden days, Can also be a reference to wallets. : )

I am beginning to favor Kevin for America’s Favorite Player partly because he has not been rude and disrespectful to the others. I just hope he doesn’t gamble away his earnings! LOL…. I wish Kevin would talk to the cameras and tell us all his stories are made up and he is really “fill-in-blank”…. Something unexpected!

Margie those numbers are pathetic…no one like the majjority of the house…the 2 expected and the rest from Kevin down hardly touch 30% total…I have to question the people that selected this group…who are they and why this group…a bunch of blah’s…just my opinion for what ever it is not worth…

I’m going on vacation on the 10th of September and I’m not even worried that I will miss something. Any other season that would have been unthinkable for me to leave at that point in the game. O/T. My new avatar is my sweet dog, Lexie! The smartest dog I have ever had!💘. She’s my shadow! She follows me everywhere, even the bathroom. Whenever Jeanne or me sit in our chairs, she comes and lays ON our feet!💘 When the mailman or UPS come to our door, she barks as barks ….. when we say “no barking, ” she goes to her bed and gives us one more “quiet” bark, as if to show us she has the last word! !😊

Jolie, you have plenty to share. If BB had not been so eventless, you might not have posted about Lexie. She is so cute!

On topic – I think Paul is a coward. He may be playing the best game of anyone in the house, but how hard is that since no one else is playing at all? Let’s just give him the money and make him leave, then the rest of them can duke it out for the 50k. That’s all any of them have a hope of winning anyway. Be clear, giving him the 500k does not entitle him to be called “winner”.

Yes, Raven has looked rough lately. Even when she fixes herself up, she looks a little ragged. I’m a little worried about her. I thought it was sweet when Matt was talking to Christmas about going up as a pawn, that he volunteered on the stipulation that Raven not go up in any way, shape or form. That’s the first glimpse I’ve seen of him as having a degree of personal stature.

roomn and Matt and Raven came up in the conversation.
She asked if Matt’s mother died of cancer. Paul said he talks
to his mother every weekend. She said she had gotten the idea he had to care for his mother and had a soft spot for anyone
with a fatal health probelem. These weren’t her exact words,
but the gist of what she meant.
She went on to say Matt has been very protective of Raven for
weeks. He doesn’t want her put on the blog and only gets angry,
if he thinks anyone is saying something negative about her or
doing something negative against her. He may be thinking she
needs the money for her disease group. Sorry, Matt. She’s
not being honest with you about a lot of things.

prattle… I saw that popularity poll, too, and thought it interesting that Raven has been dead last every week! I’m sure she and Matt think she is SO popular!
Now I read that this afternoon she lost her bracelet on the counter after apparently taking it off earlier to cook. When it was found slid under the coffee pot she is pitching a fit and saying it was deliberately hidden by someone! Braceletgate! She is going to pitch herself right out into the Jury house if she keeps this up! Ha!

Much to do about nothing. I’m hoping after Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday things might start to get exciting. I think that maybe if Josh got the next HOH he may want to be the hero that puts up Paul Christmas and Alex. A girl can dream can’t she. 🙏🏻🤗
PS put Christmas and Alex on then if one of them wins the veto put Paul up. That would be a great back door. Josh will be a hero in the house. The only downside is we would never hear the end of it. 😉
