Big Brother 20: About Tonight

Hi y’all!

I’m going to a movie tonight so I’m posting this early. In all probability, the HoH comp will still be going on when I post this and I may not be home when the new HoH is crowned. (It’s the infamous wall comp, which can go on for hours.) However, I’m sure someone will post the new HoH’s name in the comments, even if I’m not here. 🙂

Tonight, by a vote of 6-5, Winston was voted out. The votes broke down as follows:

Brett: Kaitlyn, Angie, Faysal, Bayleigh, Haleigh

Winston: Rachel, Kaycee, Angela, JC, Tyler, Sam

Kaitlyn and Angie were totally blindsided by the vote. Kaitlyn thought Tyler would vote however she told him to. Angie, meanwhile, is furious because, in his eviction speech, Brett announced that Angie would be flipping her vote. Of course, Angie didn’t flip but the seed of doubt has now been planted. I’ve never quite bought into the idea that Brett has supercharisma but watching the way he handled being yelled at by Angie does show me why he’s considered to be a threat. He handled it coolly and without emotion. Is it possible that his alliance with Winston was previously holding him back? We’ll find out!

(As for why they decided to keep Brett, Level 6 — and that alliance does include JC, Sam and Tyler regardless of how much they claim to be independents — felt that Brett would be more helpful in challenges than Winston. Judging from what we’ve seen so far this season, they’re right.)

Winston did not take getting voted out very well. I really can’t say I’m surprised to see him go. Winston was nice to look at but he had no social game. Even when he tried to convince Scottie to use the veto on him, he framed the whole thing as a debate about who “deserved to be there” as opposed to actually making a deal. Winston had no idea how to play this game.

Anyway, the HoH comp is the leaning wall comp. That usually favors the smaller houseguests. We’ll see what happens! If I’m not here when the new HoH is crowned, go ahead and post in the comments.

Brett showed a very cold and calculated side of himself; almost evil. Everyone in the house should have a big cause of concern around him.

I thought Brett’s plan of planting that seed was good, but I do agree it was a bit wicked, although I loved seeing Rockface go into a hissy fit! LOL I think Winston showed his true colors! What a poor sport! I am so happy he is gone!!

I had read a while back that Sam’s power involved “completing a task” to get back in the house.
Now I read it is a puzzle.

Well saying dude is just stating the obvious. But it is odd for her to say white since she is and that is also obvious. I never did hear any of the talk about with her man hating and 9-11 stuff. Not that I don’t believe you. But I’d have a better grasp of her dissing if I had.
Someone in FB I think also mentioned Brett being rich. I had no idea. I take it they’re referring to his family money. I’m pretty sure Angela’s family is as she is a prep school girl.. lime it doesn’t show… and JC called her “ boughee”… trying to do that phonetically. lol
Btw…. did you ever see The Way We Were?Angela reminds me of the preppy girl that was Redford’s Ex GF and the opposite of Streisand. I thot of her the first thing I saw her for some reason. Way off topic but anyway…….😏

RS is a staunch feminist man-hater. I could say more but I won’t bring politics into it. My blood boils every time I hear her say anything about white privilege. I absolutely loved what Brett did to her to plant the seeds of doubt about her vote. I’m shocked that it’s actually working on some of her allies. The two of them are already exchanging snippy remarks to one another in passing. This is going to be a fun week!

I hope I’m not disturbing your sleep. I’m in California and always playing catch up.

Just don’t let it be RS or Kaitlyn

If Kaycee starts playing a bigger role and winning comps… I’m 100% team KC… already like her a lot

And if Sam starts playing the game more… more strategy and game talk.. and wins more comps… then GO SAM

same for Rach or Angela… and I like Bay better now that she sees through RS & K’s BS.

2 or 3 girl alliance.. even 4.. fine.
Just no house mentality like RS & K want

I just decided this… and I am 100% serious.
I’d love to just see a BB season with all women in the house.
It would eliminate the 1 or 2 who always go in with the “get all the guys out” strategy.

There would be no way for 8 women to sit back while guys take each other out.
There would still be plenty of drama!
Showmances would be eliminated from the equation… maybe.

I’d still watch every damn second of it and be entertained all the way (y’all think I’m joking.. I’m not)

As a man, you dont get how extreme the dynamic is between women..either all love and sharing //etc..or total all. out Bitchfest. As a man, you dont live it..too much “real life” for me to watch, as a female..IMHO

The thing that worries me the most is that Sam will give away too much info about noms… then Bayleigh might use her power

Did you see the convo Bay just had with Fez about the power? He is scared to death Sam is going to put him up and he asked her if she would use the power on him and she immediately said NO! Then she saw the look on his face and said she probably would but she wanted it to help her get to jury!

Jolee. That’s not how it works I don’t think. She lost control of the power when she didn’t use it this week. Now it automatically gets used on whoever gets evicted! So she screwed herself by not using it beforehand. Whoever she’s trying to get out will get whatever “ chance” there is to stay or come back. So her HOH is pointless. Actually anybody’s would be. Tyler dropped and let her win. I do t think he wanted this HOH for that very reason.

What I meant, was if she nominates people she likes, the power will automatically go to whoever is evicted! So, that would mean she had control of the power based on who she nominates! Right? Even if one of her nominees wins the Veto, she can still put up someone she would like to come back! It’s just my crazy imagination trying to figure out how Sam can have some control of who the power is used on!. And, that is exactly why I wanted her to win the HOH comp. Now, it’s up to her how she plays it! So, that’s my theory, but who knows what Sam will do! I think Tyler will be a great influence on her decision!
It’s getting interesting! 😊 I’m just glad that since Tyler didn’t win, Sam did! 😊

What an exciting night of bb!! I’m so happy that Sam won HoH.

A night of firsts…
When have we ever seen…
An HOH run the gauntlet getting kisses from the HG’s just before entering the HOH room reveal? (By the way, they all looked genuinely happy for Sam during this display of affection.)
When have we ever heard…
A speech laying out there will be no one-on-ones because they’ve already made up their mind who they’re going to nominate? And to just chill out a little bit and try not to be so upset.
Or… the HOH saying that nobody can go in their room unless invited? (The way it should be.)
Or… a kind remembrance for those previously evicted?

I was really impressed with the way Sam took charge like that of a den mother, or a stern teacher. She is a no-nonsense kind of gal, honest, a woman of great character. I know she’s a little quirky and takes a little too long to say what’s on her mind but that’s just part of her charm.

Rachel took Sam’s sunglasses and was about to walk out of the HOH room when Sam grabbed them away saying “you have 12 pairs of sunglasses and I only have one.” Very direct, to the point and Sam wasn’t going to let Rachel take advantage of her kindness.

Fay is having a conniption fit, Kaitlyn is boo-hooing and a few others seem shell shocked and scared not knowing their fate. The other side of the house is going a little crazy. I love it!

Is Rachel flipping to the other side? I heard Angela say that she and Rachel aren’t close like they once were and to be careful of Rachel. Angela was talking to Brett. At the start of bbad Rachel was talking with Rockstar and they seemed a little bit too chummy. Was Rachel just gathering intel or getting ready to defect? Rachel seems to be hanging out a lot with the other side. Anybody know?

JT… You thought that Sam might nominate Hay and Kaitlyn and I think you are right. JC was already blabbing it to Fay I believe. How JC thinks he knows that is beyond me. It’s still early and who knows Sam may change her mind. She did say she wanted to knock their heads together after they were mean to her. Sam seems pretty set in her ways and probably has thought about who she would nominate should she ever become HOH. I think she’s making a good choice, however I would prefer Rockstar go before any of them.

But does Sam really want either K or Hay to have the chance to return? I understand what Jolee was saying about perhaps nominating somebody from Sam’s alliance just in case they come back. It’s better to have an alliance member come back than one from the other side.

Lots of excitement and drama tonight. It was fun.

Time for bed.

And then, the letter from her mom! 💕💕. I had tears 😢 in my eyes! What a beautiful letter from her mom! 💕
Then, she gave her awesome speech! How long has it been since a HOH has announced how they intend to use the HOH room? NEVER! 😊 I loved the way she ushered everyone out the door! Then she locked the door!! Way to go Sam! Then her cute little happy dance! Adorable!
(Jeanne said, the first thing she did after her happy dance was to go to the potty!😊)
Yes, Jolee is very happy that Sam won HOH! Now, let’s see how she handles it! After all, “She says what she means and means what she says!” 😊
My only concern is how her power is going to be used to her advantage!
It’s getting exciting! We actually watched a lot of BBAD this morning while we ate our breakfast!.

So apparently Brett, Rachel, & JC need more of a hint as they are in there sharing her wine… they don’t seem to get that trying to kiss Sam’s ass right now will make ZERO difference… and could backfire if they don’t let her breathe.

I really enjoyed the show and the competition. The best part was Kaitlyn falling since I couldn’t stand another week of her as HOH.
Sam will certainly give us an interesting week. Whether it’s good or bad is yet to be seen.

I think noms will come down to 3 names.
I do think Haleigh will be one
I also think it could be Kaitlyn… but maybe Faysal so as not to put up 2 girls.

I’d be surprised by any other names (especially since she has already told Brett, Rachel, Angela, & Rocksalt that they are safe or not to worry.

Cams went to puppies or whatever about 12:00 BBT. OR about 20 mins ago. Sam told Brett,KC and Rach that she’s not putting RS up. Saving fir Veto renom I still think it’s Haleigh and Katelin.
RS still bitching about Brett’s shire privilege. I guess his dads a lawyer. So what? Do they have ambition and take care of their family. Oooohhh. Evil! She is soooo bitter. I think she hates her life and thot BB would make her famous, happy and rich. Sorry hun. It’s whats inside you do you are stick with you!! Lol
Katelin whining that’s she’s the victim here. SHOCKER!! When isn’t she?? She says she’s getting dragged into this because of her association with RS. Nice loyalty! And that’s NOT why beotch!! Lol

I am loving Sam’s talks one on one in the HOH. We are getting a lot of insight as to how she thinks. She’s told Rachel if either Kaitlin or Hayleigh comes off the block she will put up RS. Also in her nomination speech she basically told them it was personal on her part and told them she didn’t like the way they behaved in the house toward the men, laying all over them, etc. She told Rachel in private in the HOH that the two girls would make fun of her when she walked thru a room saying things like ‘git er dun’ mocking her country roots. She also said they were lazy and didn’t do anything around the house to help out. LOVE IT!

RS requested a meeting with Sam and went up there crying and blubbering YET AGAIN about Brett being a mean old bully and lying about her and Sam basically told her to buck up and get over it! I absolutely loved it. RS told FEZ before she went up that she was going to DEMAND Sam explain to her why she will keep a bully in the house. It sure didn’t work out like she thought it would. Sam basically asked her ‘was he really lying? LOL. So funny

Question… dues she actually consider herself a member of L6? Or do they? Or is she just a loose wild card like JC? I heard her talking inthe BR one day to Bay I think and she wasn’t even sure what an alliance was.

And in fairness… L6 wants her as long as they can use her for a vote

She was SUPER PISSED at Haleigh & Kaitlyn last night. I guess some comments made during charades that Sam thought they were making fun of her
And one comment I do know is Haleigh said the house was disgusting and it should be a cleaning day tomorrow (today).

So Sam got pretty angry about that since Sam does so much cleaning. But I think Sam & kaitlyn are ok now… or ok-ish anyway. They did clear the air some today before feeds went down

Sam is very independent and won’t be pinned down to either side permanently. I saw a short clip of her before going into the house where she said she would nominate anybody who is a bully and judge people on their character. I think she likes certain people in L6 and foutte based on their individual personalities and behavior.

For sure. After a day and a half my coughing and phlegm (sorry!lol) were much improved. Anything you take it for clears up!! Too bad you can’t take it very long but the side effects aren’t fun either. But for this I’ll gladly suffer thru them to get relief from the coughing!!🤧😷🤮
