Big Brother 20: Let’s Count The Votes

Hi, y’all!

So, in just two days, we’ll be witnessing the first eviction of BB20.  Right now, the two nominees are Steve and Sam.  As I said before, Steve and Sam have mostly been nominated because neither one of them really fits in with either of the two big alliances in the house.  Steve is older and, as a homicide detective, doesn’t really have much in common with the other houseguests.  Meanwhile, Sam has been stuck in robot form and has spent the majority of the week telling everyone how much it sucks to be a robot.

(Personally, I think Sam has a right to complain but quite a few of the houseguests — like Kaitlyn — have been getting annoyed with her.)

Steve is pretty confident that he has the votes necessary to stay.  In fact, he’s been relaxing and laying low and letting everyone know how much he appreciates them for not voting him out.  Sam, meanwhile, is convinced that she’s going to be voted out but she also has the power that will the give her a chance to reeneter the house.

The truth is a bit more complicated.

For the most part, Sam is being targeted by Chris’s alliance.  As of right now, Chris, Bayleigh, Haleigh, Angie, Faysal, and Kaitlin appear to be planning on voting out Sam.  Even though he’s not really a member of any alliance, Scottie is close to Steve and he will undoubtedly vote to evict Sam as well.

Then you have Winston’s alliance.  Though they’ve done a pretty good job of keeping the word from getting out, they are determined to get Steve out of the house.  So, Winston, Brett, Angela, JC, Kaycee, and Rachel are all planning on voting out Steve and then trying to pull Scottie over to their side of the house.  Tyler has also come around to wanting Steve out but, as HoH, he doesn’t get a vote.

So, that breaks down to a 7-6 vote to evict Sam.

HOWEVER — and this is where it gets interesting — both Angie and Haleigh have been discussing maybe voting to evict Steve.  They’re apparently convinced that almost everyone is voting to evict Sam so they feel that if they cast two votes for Steve, they can then trick people into thinking those votes were cast by Winston and Brett.  What they don’t seem to get is that Winston and Brett are both already planning on voting to evict Steve.  So, if Haleigh and Angie actually go through with their plan, Steve would be evicted on an 9-4 vote.

And then there’s Kaitlyn.  Kaitlyn has been a loyal member of Chris’s alliance, largely because she likes Faysal.  However, Faysal seems to be more into Haleigh than he is into Kaitlyn and Kaitlyn is not happy about this.  So, Winston and Brett are thinking that they might be able to get Kaitlyn to flip.  Of course, the problem with this plan is that Kaitlyn is still mad at Sam because Sam said that, if Kaitlyn was a robot, she wouldn’t be able to spend all of her time in the hot tub with Faysal.

Got all that?  If it sounds confusing, don’t worry.  I typed all of that up and I’m still struggling to keep it all straight.  As of right now, it seems like anything could happen on Thursday!
