BB 19 — Well, that was kind of a letdown…

Hi, y’all!

Well, that title of this post says it all. Tonight, Big Brother gave a lot of people what they’ve spent all summer waiting for. Maven was split up as, by a vote of 6-0, Matt was sent to the jury house.

There was so much that I was hoping would happen tonight. I was hoping to see Raven really go over the top with her grief. I was hoping for some dramatic exit speeches. I was hoping that they would show the number of times that Matt broke the have not rules. I was hoping that Julie would call out Matt. Even though I knew it probably wouldn’t happen, I was hoping that Matt might even get kicked out of the game.

Instead, he got his one penalty vote and now, he gets to spend the next twenty days in the jury house. In other words: rules? Who cares about rules? Rules are for Chima.

Even more disappointing is that we didn’t get to see Alex steal Kevin’s food and then saying that she hopes he get cancer. We didn’t get to see Paul encouraging everyone to pick on Kevin. We didn’t get to see any of the comments that Jason made. The houseguests got off easy tonight.

We did get to see Josh start crying again. It’s impossible for me to have sympathy for someone who 1) continually picks fights and then 2) runs off and cries about how everyone’s being mean to him. However, it was interesting to see the way that Christmas talked to him afterward. A lot of people on twitter think that there’s some sort of Josh/Christmas showmance going on but actually, Christmas has become Josh’s surrogate mother in the house. I know that Paul’s convinced that Josh would vote out Christmas and take him to a final two but Paul might be underestimating just how strong of a bond Christmas and Josh have.

Raven appeared to get over Matt being voted out pretty quickly. According to Matt, anyone who has been watching the show knows how “amazing Raven is.” He thinks that Raven’s social game is going to make her unbeatable if she makes it to the end. Actually, Raven’s social game is one of the things that’s holding her back right now. No one in the house can stand her.

We got to see a little of the jury house, which was nice. At least the jury house is clean. I don’t know how Cody, Mark, and Elena are going to deal with being joined by Matt.

As for the new HoH, we don’t know yet. The comp is on rain delay and the feeds are currently down. From what I could see, the comp looked like a physical one. In theory, that’s bad news for Paul because his whole plan was for everyone in the house to throw the competition to Christmas. I guess he’ll probably try to get everyone to throw the comp to Josh now.

Why doesn’t Paul try to win HoH himself? Paul is terrified of getting blood on his hands. He knows that he lost last season because the jury hated him. The last thing that he wants this year is for the jury to view him as being responsible for anything. That’s actually not a bad strategy. That’s also why I think Paul will take Josh to the final two, if he had the option. Josh has managed to annoy almost everyone in the house.

As for the what the plan for next week is, it depends on who wins HoH. Alex is obsessed with getting Kevin out of the house but everyone else wants to break up Alex or Jason. Paul told Kevin to throw the comp but Kevin says that he’s still going to try to win. However, even if Kevin doesn’t win this week, he might still be safe.

We’ll see what happens!

One penalty vote for all those repeated broken rules!! It should have been a negative vote for each time he 💩 on BB rules!
Tonight’s edited show was a cover up for all that was wrong in the BB house this week.

Actually more penalty votes would have just helped him achieve his goal. He wanted to make sure he was the one evicted over Raven. Instead he should have just been booted off the show. No jury house vacation checks.

I can’t believe Paul has all of them wearing the floaties. That literally drove me nuts last year and now this year we have 4 or 5 ADULTS wearing them.

mistake by doing so, too. Strange that often she didn’t even
wear a boot this week, but had it on with the crutches tonight.
Yet she won???

I have a question. After watching tonight’s show, remember when Josh asked Kevin if he got the 25k and Kev refused to swear on his kids that he didn’t get the money? …How did his refusal to swear on his kids comfirm to Christmas that Alex was the 2nd vote for Matt last week? That went completely over my head. Does anyone know the answer?

about the vote against Matt. By not swearing on his children
about the $25K he was lying. She didn’t care that he got the
$25K (it’s maddning that they keep making such a big deal out
of that, when so many of them hit their buzzers, too, but weren’t
fast enough), but that made it plain Alex was the other vote
against Matt and gives her another reason to put Alex up.
Paul doesn’t want her to put both Alex and Jason up together
for fear one will win veto. We’ll see what she ends up doing. She
is just as much a lemming as the rest, but with a vicious bite.
She really doesn’t need Paul any more and might get a perfect
opportunity to backdoor him, but she won’t.IMO

She knew it had to have been Alex or Kevin bc the others absolutely would vote for mark. When Kevin swore on his kids the 1st time (bc Christmas knows Kevin would not lie and swear on his kids), but then he got pissed off and would not freely swear on his kids again (bc Kevin will not lie and swear on his kids) that raised a red flag. When he would swear on his kids he was telling the truth, he did not vote for matt. That left alex.

MW; I wrote a reply earlier, but it’s not here, so I guess it
was deleted by accident or lost somewhere. He swore on his
chilren he voted to evict Mark…not Matt. He would not about
the $25K. That told X-mas he received the $25K (which didn’t
really matter that much to her but could be used as a tool to
discredit him), but more importantly told her the only other
vote for Matt to be evicted had to have come from Alex. Jason
had already admitted to casting one of the votes.

Couldn’t wait any longer so I poked around reading about tonight’s show. By far the biggest buzz out there is the subject of Julie’s Eskimo Muffs which have to be the most gawd awful attempt at fashion. Can’t wait to watch Wil’s take on that faux pas!

11:18PM BBT: Paul talks to Christmas and Kevin, he says in a few weeks they should have videos from home. Christmas says no disrespect to her Mom but she would prefer her video is from her gym.

The most interesting portion of the Grodner Q&A interview was the fact that BB films EACH week with the families. Each week?? Such a waste because the majority of what BB documents never makes it to air.

BB starts in about 30 minutes…can’t wait to actually see those Eskimo muffs in motion.

I am very dissapointed in this season of BB or as one viewer twweted Pauls House. Im also very dissapointed in the way production has swept all of the proverbial crap under the rug. I for one am glad I never payed to see the live feeds since it seems to be down so much. I’m back to watching BB this week. Now that the house is full of just the hyenas, I’ll enjoy watching them gnaw the legs off each other.

America’s Player? I’m going to vote for the single player this season that actually saw thru Paul’s manipulative game play, and tried to get him on the block. Cody. Like him or not, he deserves to be rewarded for not having his head up Paul’s butt.

The fact that, if not for productions interference, Cody would have had Paul out of the house the first week! I think either Cody or Dom are good choices, but decency has never been a BB factor, it’s about game play, so I’m still “team Cody’ for AF.

He also put himself down morally and said he felt guilty…I’m not going to go through the list again. But I’ve forgiven him because no one else in there has felt bad for their comments and I still don’t have to like what Cody said but as I said, I’ve let it go because I think he really is a moral person. I know I’ve done and said things I would never want public and felt bad about it so compared to everyone else there except Dom, he’s an angel.

Oh my gosh… I think Christmas’ letter is full of clues from her friend. It is too full of numbers and strange news…. She mentions a couple of dates and I am wondering if they corresponds to the order of the house guests on the wall. Counting L to R and down… #12 is Paul and #14 is Josh. She used the phrase sweet guy with 12 (Jason) and putting down a deposit with #12 (Paul). Mentioned Nugget going into the second grade… She also mentions extreme scootering.
It is too weird of a letter not to be filled with clues. Christmas is smart enough to plan ahead and she said she hoped she got a letter from her gym and not her mother (setting them up to not be surprised?)
If it is full of clues… I think the reference is to tell her that Paul is the one to get rid of.
Have I been watching too many Hallmark Mystery movies? LOL

No, JuJu, I don’t think you’ve been watching too many
Hallmark Mysteries. (BTW: I love those, too.) It is a strange
letter and even stranger that she preferred a letter from her
“gym” than family. That sounded like a letter from her BFF or
even closer “friend”. Venue is not all that unusual as that is
what they call her so-called locations for her “inspirational speeches”, but it’s for a date that has already passed with her in the house. If it’s for a date in 2018, why add that to a letter at this time? And why is no specific location mentioned for the
venue?
I think the numbers could very easily correspond to pre-arranged codes. This person might be an accountant and numbers are her thing, but there are suspiciously a lot of them for a letter meant to booster a person’s spirits. I don’t think this person sounds like someone grounded in economics.
What is “extreme scootering”? And if they are suppose to be such good friends, why would X-mas not already know Nugget would be in the 2nd grade this year? I don’t have the pics to
look at right now, but who is in the 2nd place on the chart of
faces?

The sentence about the dog made no sense. He passed away, but
then it sounded like she had the dog put down, and why would
you put that into a letter you are trying to use to inspire?
Another oddity was the spring cleaning thing. It’s almost fall….
what spring cleaning? Nothing is fully explained, as if she knows
X-mas will figure it out on her own. Also…so many times the
word “sweet” is used.
This is something I expected of X-mas. I believe she had something put into her contract that protected her from being

This letter just reeks of suspicion! It has got to be full of pre-planned code words and code numbers! If not… then she isn’t as smart as I believe she is.

juju…I don’t watch Hallmark Mysteries, too predictable and slow for me…lol…so that can’t be the reason why we agree there is something suspicious about the letter. I had not yet watched the CBS show but read something on Joker’s in the weeeeee hours of the morning and even their poster seem suspicious that there is something fishy in Denmark. Supposedly twice the letter mentioned the date of 8/12…1)referenced the start of school but 8/12 is a Saturday!!!…2) I forget what the second was in reference to. What school starts on a Saturday???

Nobody will ever convince me that there are NO clues in these letters.

The wedding date was set for Sept 3rd or 4th 2017 but now that she is in the BB house that date will be set back. He resembles Paul soooo much they could be brothers. She never speaks of him. Odd. Wow all kinds of intrigue and ways to cheat. What Jason said in reply to Paul’s question is disgraceful, however, I believe that Alex is the most hateful, mean, nasty, spiteful, vicious, a liar, vulgar and the vilest person who has ever been on BB and in my opinion worse than Jason as she gets such a thrill of the chaos going on. She is as fake as her boobs and quit messing with that awful hair – just cut it all off as it looks terrible. Didn’t someone say that Alex hopes to get an opportunity with Coca Cola? Gosh I hope they are watching her antics on BB. Christmas seems to gravitate to the bed of the one who can do her the most to get ahead as she has lain with more than one of them. Josh the cry baby needs to go home to mama but he has improved as he isn’t as mean as he once was. I honestly don’t get why everyone hates Paul so much. I don’t watch the live feeds and read the blogs sparingly but from what I see his play has been masterful. Coming in as the only vet, seemingly liked by mostly everyone in the house, no blood on his hands yet nearly everything plays out the way he wants it to. Ya’ll can be as salty as you like, he’s an incredible player.

Also #sorrynotsorry but Cody is an ass. While I respect him and thank him for his service he has to be one of the worst players I have ever seen.

Christina I can’t with certainty say that watching the feeds, BBAD,
and staying up with this blog would have changed your mind, but
there’s a good chance it would have. Watching the demeaning and unnecessary cruelty he’s employed under the excuse of game play is what has so many, including myself, so set against Paul. All the extra help he’s been given by production has not washed well with many. The bending and actual breaking of the rules for some, but
not all ,has been another big disappointment.
I admit to never having been a fan of Paul’s. But this season has
bronzed those feelings. He has even admitted to this exact kind of
behavior when he was a child at summer camp and during his
private school years. But this crew of lemmings let things like
that fly way over their heads. With him it’s not just game play,it’s who he is. IMHO.

I think most of us think Paul was given way too many advantages from the very stsrt.
1. He entered the house after all of the guests were there. They treated him like a celebrity! Similar to house guest’s reaction to any vet visiting the house.
2. He had THREE WEEKS immunity .. Never heard of before!
3. He had eight friendship bracelets to pass out, immediately giving him team advantage!
NOT FAIR!!!
4. He had been the worst instigator of BULLYING ever on Big Brother.
5. He’s a 🐍 slithering from room to room, guest to guest, dispersing his venom as he goes, with his cute little ducky around his waste!
He is crude, rude and unrefined … In my opinion!

But now, I have read so many people saying 3 weeks, that I am thinking I misunderstood from the very beginning. (And yes, I realize there is no actual “question” in my question!)

voted to get the temptation for three weeks protection. So
he got four weeks total, but only three from the temptation.

Does anyone remember Season 14 and the four BB veterans who were brought into the house as coaches? Do you remember that they were not considered part of the houseguests that could win $500,000. And do you remember that at the end of 3 weeks all of a sudden BB miraculously came up with a red button that if pushed would allow the coaches to become part of the houseguests! So they got 3 weeks of safety… a built in “friendship group” that felt loyalty to them and with whom they had bonded… And TaDa… one of the Veterans came in second! …. So I don’t think Paul is unprecedented in getting the SAME kind of advantages that those 4 veterans did! ~ And just to restate what I have said before… I am totally against veterans coming back into the house (including Paul) but this year is not necessarily any different than what has happened before. And Paul had a definite target on his back with being the only veteran after those 3 weeks because 1/2 the house didn’t get friendship bracelets. I’m not sure many of the other Veterans could pull off what he has done this season.
I’m not defending what BB has done with Paul – just saying …..

Lord knows I am not a fan of Paul by any stretch of the imagination but they are never going to bring a vet back and not give them some measure of safety. What would be the point! That person would always be the first out!

Margie… I am not a Paul fan either, although I did root for him at the end of last season because I didn’t want a veteran to win. We agree that there is no way a veteran is brought back without an early advantage of some kind – and a three week advantage, as I pointed out, is not new! I get that people don’t like Paul on a personal level – but in arguing that he has had an unfair advantage that no other veteran has ever had before – I think we both agree that that is not true!

Paul gets others to do his dirty work. then sits back and laughs. he admits they’re his puppets. he has a filthy mouth and if you dare go against him he makes up stuff about you so others will hate you and he encourages the bullying. cody went in to go after Paul….which is fine with me.

Still praying for Texas. The governor of Texas said this has been the quickest and best response to a disaster ever! FYI the President just signed a bill making Sunday a day of prayer for Texas! That’s great! 👍 He’s also getting ready to make another visit to Texas! 💘.
They still need a lot of help and many prayers!💘

AC, Alex is that mean girl that every school has. She thrives on discord she loves chaos she is a paranoid back stabber. Whenever any of the houseguests are bullied or hurting in anyway she goes into the storage room and does her little chimpanzee 🦍🦍 dance 💃🏻 up-and-down she loves it, I think maybe production called her out on it why else would she be in the DR room for over 2 1/2 hours last night?

Most decent person in the house was Mark. I was liking Jason til he stupidly made that remark – even though I think he was just in his joking way trying to say the worst thing he could think of without really meaning it, and as much said so. It still was a terrible thing to say and he should have known better. I didn’t care for Paul last season but this year I was actually rooting for him in the beginning. I mean you have to give him credit for his smarts in playing this game. But how he’s been behind so much fighting and bullying I’m not a fan of. But some of these people deserve what they will probably get in the end – when they realize they were all played. Alex particularly.
On another note .. Kevin’s hair drives me nuts

C’est Moi… I’m not sure but I think your comment (way👆) might have been made for me?… and if so… I don’t need a PhD in order make an educated assessment of Xmas. In fact, I think most people with good old common sense can observe a person’s behavior to arrive at a rational conclusion.

I agree that Alex is acting like a jackass, but no more than Christmas, Kevin, Raven, and less than Josh, Paul, and Jason, my point being I think it is perfectly acceptable for a man to compete no holds barred, but a woman should be more compassionate – sorry competition is competition – just because Christmas and Paul pretend they care about Ravens feelings doesn’t mean they do (as evidenced by their diary sessions) come on people judge more even handed

Paul and Christmas may have bitten off more than they can chew because Jason is not falling for Paul’s BS. Paul said to Christmas that he was going to go to Jason and claim that he’s afraid that they are trying to back door him (Paul) because of what was said in the nomination speech. Jason doesn’t believe him because he saw Alex, Christmas and Paul up in the HOH for a long time this afternoon and thinks they hatched a plan to get rid of him. He is partly right. Alex was not involved in trying to get rid of Jason. Jason angrily asked Josh WTH is going on, Josh professed not to know and Jason told him he was lying. Kevin stepped in and told Jason that Christmas and Paul were after him and went on a long explanation of what he meant. Kevin may have burned his own bridge with that declaration. lol If Josh tells Christmas and Paul what Kevin said his days may be more numbered than Jason’s! One can hope. I am so sick of Kevin. He wants everyone to carry him to final 4 but is doing his best to sabotage himself. He laughed after Jason and Alex was put up on the block and now he probably is going to have to explain his comments to Jason! This could be an interesting week after all!!!!!

Had a feeling on your part though it wasn’t intentional. I’ve seen some of my own on occassion! like yours – not intentional – just a typo or word missed or some stupid thing. It happens.
