BB19 — It’s Time To Kick Matt Out

Hi y’all!

So, there’s not really anything new to report from the Big Brother House. Jason’s comments about Kevin’s wife and children were reported on TMZ. Jason’s family issued an official apology to Kevin’s family and then locked down his twitter account.

Of course, Jason doesn’t know any of that. He and Alex are still convinced that they’re the most popular people in America. Earlier today, Jason asked if the cameras were always on, which would seem to indicate that he doesn’t understand how Big Brother works. (I’ve heard Matt, Christmas, and Alex all make similar comments.) Alex mentioned at one point that she hopes that she hasn’t ever said anything controversial in the house. According to her, she can’t really remember everything that she’s said in the house.

Well, in case anyone ever needs a refresher, here’s some other things that Alex has said over the past few days:

She’s going to win Big Brother because she’s just like Nicole.
She doesn’t mind coming in 2nd because she’s under the impression that 2nd place finishers always get invited to play again. (After all, that’s what happened to Paul.)
She wants Kevin out of the house next week.
She’s going to continue to throw out Kevin’s food and other possessions because she wants Kevin to worry that he has dementia
She’s going to tell Kevin that he looks old.
She hopes that Kevin gets skin cancer.
She thinks that Kevin is probably a child molester.
If Kevin wins America’s Favorite Player, it’ll just be because people feel sorry for him because he’s old.
She thinks that America loves her and Jason.

As for Matt, he’s pretty much accepted the idea that he’s going to be voted out on Thursday. He won’t stop telling everyone how happy he is to be going to the jury on Thursday because that means that Raven will still be in the house. In fact, Matt has a plan to make sure that he goes home instead of Raven.

That plan is to break as many rules as possible and get penalty votes as a punishment. He wants to get so many penalty votes that it won’t even matter if everyone in the house votes for Raven. As a result, he is ignoring all of the rules that go with being a Have Not. He’s refusing to eat slop. He’s refusing to take cold showers. He’s refusing to sleep in the have not room. Whenever the BB production voice announces that Matt is breaking a rule, he responds by cursing back. And then Raven joins in.

(Interesting to note: Matt, from the minute Jason did not use the veto, announced that he would get himself evicted so that Raven could stay. Raven has never volunteered to do the same. I wouldn’t have volunteered either but I would have at least pretended to care that my boyfriend was about to get evicted for me.)

Here’s the thing: I am not a fan of the whole Have Not thing. I don’t like hearing about Big Brother slop. I think it’s cruel to not allow people to get a good shower. I don’t think it’s right to mess with people’s sleeping habit. I would love it if they did away with the Have Not stuff or if the entire house all stood up and announced, “We’re not doing the have not thing and you’ll have to give all of us a penalty vote.”

However, rules are rules and, until BB gets tired of the whole have not thing, Matt is violating the rules of the game. Matt has spent the last few weeks whining about how Cody didn’t play by the rules. When Cody refused to give a speech at a veto ceremony, Matt whined that Cody was disrespcting Big Brother. When Cody didn’t shake hands after his second eviction, Matt whined that Cody never tried to play the game.

Here’s another rule: “Players are not allowed to use production for strategy.” That’s an unwieldy phrase but essentially, it means that it is against the rules of Big Brother for Matt to try to pile up penalty votes in order to save Raven.

On Big Brother 11, Chima was expelled from the game for “multiple rule violations.” Why shouldn’t Matt face the same punishment? For two days straight now, he has deliberately been breaking the rules and then bragging about it and basically daring production to do anything to stop him. So, even if Matt is voted out on Thursday, why should he then get to go relax in the jury house and get paid his full stipend?

It’s time to expel Matt from the house. No jury. Not stipend. Just send him home.

That’s my opinion, anyway. Agree? Disagree? Let me know.

Jason hasn’t apologized to anyone. Jason’s wife apologized to Kevin’s family on Jason’s behalf but Jason doesn’t even know that there’s any controversy yet.

I think Jason should be tossed of the house and sent home
For the threat he made about Kevins wife. He has not done anything to any of them and only responded when Baby Josh pushed him passed his limit. Wrong wrong wrong too much violence in the world without this. These season has been particularly nasty.

Jason was MY choice as well for the win, but not anymore. I like Kevin’s quiet yet classy demeanor. Feel sorry that the house is going to jointly get on his case:(

Marise…it has been said that the HGs get $1000.
each week they remain in the house or jury house. Some have said Paul and maybe Christmas get more…I don’t know. If they self evict they don’t get paid. I assume if BB throws them out for breaking the rules then they probably also forfeit the money. I heard Jessica say if they self evict they owe BB for expenses BB has paid for them like transportation to the show and hotel fees for the week before the season of BB began.

How come all the sudden everyone is on Kevin’s back? Is it because Paul decided it was time for Kevin to go because Paul fears Kevin is on to him? Did Paul feed his hate Kool Aid to the HGs that Kevin is not to be trusted? Did Paul start false negative info to the house about Kevin?

I don’t know what is up with CBS as live feeds have been terrible ! When they talk the voice is off and where are all the stop that there has always been . Yes they have had some but not nearly what was in past BB . I am so disappointed in this year cruel behavior and it all started with Paul to manipulate who goes next . And yes he wants Christmas and Josh at end as he thinks he we win over them . I will give Cody favorite as he did stand up to or Mark or Jessica .

Production should show Matt the door. If they do what happens to the remaining person on the block – Raven. Can she be voted out. That sounds wonderful. I was rooting for Jason up until his inappropriate outburst. I would like to see Production have a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting with the remaining house guests pointing out what behaviors are not acceptable and to get their shallow attention….which behaviors diminish their likability with their legion of fans. Snicker!!!!

Expel Matt for deliberating ignoring the rules — no jury and, more importantly, no pay. Production also needs to tell the remaining HGs that the bad behavior stops immediately or they too will be expelled without pay or jury.

Lisa… Wow!! You said exactly what I’ve been thinking about Matt and in fact, today I complained to CBS audience feedback exactly that…that he is disrespecting BB and that he should be expelled NOW!!

Thank you for clearing up the lies that Jason apologized, for a minute I thought I’d missed something.

I have another 20 items about Alex that I could ad to your list.

You stated a rule that I wasn’t aware of…that “production can’t be used as strategy” and I have a question about that. Maybe I’m wrong, but I believe that competitions would fall under the category of production and therefore no “cheating” or “manipulation” should be used as strategy. Right? I refer specifically to Paul’s instructions to have his minions answer a True/False comp in a false and manipulative manner to achieve that one of them wins. It’s difficult for me to explain what I’m trying to convey without watching BBAD for a refresher of his exact instructions but I’ll try…instead of participating in the comp by answering the questions honesty, Paul has come up with a convoluted set of instructions to basically have each one lie to achieve a guaranteed win for his side. I’m sure you have seen on the feeds what I’m trying to communicate. Like a few of the minions should always answer false while the others always answer true. Wouldn’t that type of manipulation be considered using Production as strategy? Or even admitting to “throwing” a comp is a form of cheating and manipulation. Isn’t it? So what do you think, Lisa? Thanks…

Lisa Marie Bowman August 29, 2017 at 10:16 pm: They’re allowed to throw competitions because there’s no rule that they have to try to win. They just have to participate in the competition. Using production of strategy is stuff like what Matt is doing or trying to trick other houseguests into getting penalty votes — like, if Paul told Josh to go eat something when he’s a have not. It also covers stuff like trying to find out what other people have said in the diary room. I don’t know, it’s kind of a oddly-stated rule. As you pointed out, it’s open very much open to interpretation as far as “using production as strategy” is concerned.

Matt is a punk. Can’t handle the fact that he been outplayed. He been a sheep all season long. Now being led to the slaughter. Him and Raven crying about Jason “lying” to them. They ain’t been playing all season long. Just loyal little lemmings being led right off the cliff. That’s what you get. Can’t lay in bed all season and expect to win.

I think he should be expelled and sent straight home for breaking the rules and disobeying production. Instead he gets to go to the jury house (where he was going any way) and keep collecting checks from BB? Come on.

Thanks sweet Janna. That event was a long time ago for me. May you never know what that is like. Life has shown me many horrible things, and many beautiful things. That is not the worst that has happened to me. I am only strong because I know my Savior..have known him since I was 12. Dont feel sorry for me..I have been through LIFE…remember I am old..LOL ( 54 ) anything life throws at you can be lived through and risen above. That goes for you also. You can rise above and live through anything. Life is still good

House rules have been broken all summer but what Matt is doing is not sneaking a cheat (like eating under covers) it is blatant outright breaking the rules in front of production. It is telling production to “F” off! As all teachers know… if you don’t make an example out of a student then the others take advantage of your weakness.
The bullying is not specifically stated as against the rules because subtle bullying could be considered OK. So then what do you consider not OK? That is a trickier one…
But what Matt has done is break every have not rule and dare production to do something about it. Getting in Kevin’s face and threatening him may have been the last straw… I hope so!

Does anybody know the criteria for getting kicked off the show? Besides physical violence of course. I know Chima was kicked off (though she said she quit). But was it ever revealed what exactly she was kicked off for? I know she threw the mic pack in the pool.

Feeds are back. Kevin and Christmas are in the kitchen. Kevin says that he knows that Alex was the one who threw out his stuff. He just asked Christmas if she can keep Paul’s minions from bullying him.

Matt is out in the hot tub with everyone else, talking about how much he hates Kevin.

as Matt. This season is so far out of control, it’s mind blowing.

My friend told me a story once about her son. His toys were left all over the house. Several times she told him to pick them. Finally she gave him an automaton, pick up your toys , or I am giving you a time out. Her son went to his time out place and sat down. When asked what he was doing he said, I’ll take the time out. Her son was two! Matt is acting like two year old! When punishes stop being effective, it is time to change the punishment. Since he is using the punishment as an advantage for himself, right before the votes call Matt to the DR never to come back. No Cecil interview, no jury house. No money. And since we saw him break the rules, let us see him receive the news. AND since he is sabotaging Jason’s HOH, Jason get’s to play in the next HOH

Lisa…thanks for the deets about Jason!!! He was GETTING to be my fave….since I hadn’t had one all season……but I don’t know now. I wish I could unhear what he said! Or better yet, have him unsay it!!! He did just say it to Alex and Paul, didn’t he?? He wasn’t so cruel as to say it to Kevin!! I don’t think Jason is a bad guy. He’s just a guy! Not always sensitive, but I didn’t see him as having a mean streak either! I think it was peer pressure and self-defense. . He likes Kevin and/or feels sorry for him and just saved his butt! Now all his allies are dissing him! So he threw in a really bad one so that people didn’t think he was FOR Kevin! Altho with his saving him from the block, that was prolly too little too late! But still, there’s really no excuse for what he said!
It is getting uncomfortable for me to watch BBAD or the LFS at all because all the bullies are happily acting like nothing is wrong and poor Kevin is totally ostracized and being bullied unmercifully!! And he really doesn’t know why!!! He was a funny guy and everyone loved him up until paranoia and lame gossip made him the Fall Guy!!
Meagan self-evicted……Matt is trying too…..Josh threatened to many times in the beginning…..Cody threatened to…..and I would NOT blame Kevin at all if he did!!!! He has got to be miserable and embarrassed. Don’t you think by now production SHOULD realize that something in their formula for HGS is NOT working???? And perhaps it’s time to CHANGE the rules, as Doris said??You cannot do nothing and expect anyone to take you seriously!!
In S8, Jen did what Matt is doing. Ate defiantly while being on slop. (pre-HNS) She immediately got called out and warned. When she continued, she got a penalty point. After that, if the behavior continues, they should take them into the DR, maybe talk to them and give them a chance or kick them out right then! But to let it go on is to have a frat party on your hands!!!!
I said this earlier today and couldn’t believe the sacrilege that came put of my mouth, but maybe it’s time for BB to go away. When was the last time we were actually HAPPY with the cast???? It’s a bigger train wreck every year. But unfortunately, if it’s on, I feel I must watch!! Maybe it’s time for CBS to put us all out of our misery!!!

crap crap im so tired of hearing or reading he’s just a guy. good grief i don’t know anyone who would make a rape joke that has a penis. if i did and i heard it i would blow up. and there would be no more room for that person in my life. you are giving these guys an excuse to talk about being brutal to a woman and forcing something scary and painful on them. i would kill anyone i caught doing that.
HELL NO he didn’t have the balls to say it to kevin or his face would have been ripped off.

A season or two ago a man on Survivor lost his job when he got home over a hateful remark he made to Zeke during tribal council.
As far as CBS all access I plan on rewatching some of my favorite past seasons of BB.
I was rooting for Jason, but not now, can’t forgive that statement.

I agree with Freedom of Speech, but saying which is the “right” religion or who is the “right” President incites comments that rise to arguments. I hope we can all avoid that.

I agree with you, Susan, in that there’s still a very active rape culture. People for the most part act like it’s no big deal because there is so much talk about it, people have become desensitized. For some who have actually experienced it like Tendr and Astra, will always be sensitive. Out of respect for them I would never downplay comments like Jason made. Kevin was not present when Jason said that nauseous comment. Men have objectified woman for centuries. Even in jest, Jason should reap the results of his insensitivity. He probably will from his wife when he gets home. : ) Anyone who laughed along with him needs sensitivity training.

If Cody can’t win AFP, then Dominique should. Not because she was a great player, because she wasn’t, but she was a clean player who just didn’t get a chance to actually play.

Two, I am a victim of multiple rapes – my point wasn’t simply about the pres, I also said actors, and professional athletes, I was talking about rape culture, but somehow that sailed over the heads of the bossy pants club. I work with women in Rwanda who are victims of rape as a weapon of war, I go to Rwanda and Kenya twice a year to speak with women and their children who are products of gang rape. Their stories would curl your toes. I’m not excusing Jason, I’m just saying his “talk” is bullshit. And yes ladies, I Absolutely hold my pres, my husband, and my friends to a higher standard than I hold a rodeo clown on a reality show. That now I’m a Christian thing is BS btw, Constantine became a Christian after he killed a few million people – you still have to pay the piper in the end.

I also agree with Susan when she said that people keep saying to keep politics out of this blog, that’s all fine, but religion also needs to be kept out if you’re going to play that rule. We do have a very serious rape culture in our society and by accepting things like that being said you ARE accepting that culture into our society. It is NOT acceptable in any way or from any one. The more of us that stand up and stand against those kinds of “jokes” the better chance we have of changing the culture in our country. And I’m sorry, but saying “sorry” doesn’t change the fact that it was said or that you thought it. You may forgive easily, but a leopard doesn’t change it’s spots and predator doesn’t change it’s desires.

Jason should have been tossed out as soon as he made his disgusting comment. If I was his wife, I would have his bags packed when he gets home. He is not well and needs psychiatric help. As far as the others who sat around laughing when Jason was saying this, they should also be tossed out. For the first time ever, I will not continue to watch BB this season…it has really gone over the line with bullying, fighting, etc. They should just give Kevin the money and be done with it. The other fools deserve nothing except lessons in how to be decent human beings!

My thoughts on Matt …. I think he should be expelled, not put in the jury house, get no stipend. Then I think that Raven should be voted out because of all of Matt’s behavior. I even think that BB should start giving Matt’s “Penalty Votes” to Raven to make Matt stay in line. I think it would even be funny if Raven is the one voted out, just because of how Matt is behaving.

Just finished watching recorded BBAD and Christmas is really delusional. She’s was in the HOH room with Jason, Josh, Alex and Paul and was telling them that after BB is over that all makeup, hair and beauty treatments are now tax deductible because they are all public figures and have to keep themselves to a higher standard. Been thinking about the Jason comment. During the first part of the show it was indicated that Kevin has ties with the mafia. If that is true, Jason and Alex should be careful on what they say and what they do to kevin. It’s not just about them but their families also.
I wish cbs would not use canned yells and claps when houseguest leave the house. How interesting would it be if there were very little cheers and boos as houseguest leave. I bet that would shake the remaining house guest up since they always wait to hear how loud the cheers are.

Happy Wednesday everyone! I will attempt to stay out of “trouble” here today! 😊. I told you I care deeply, and I do!
Susan, I admire what you have accomplished in Rwanda so much! Using your life to make such a difference in other people’s lives is something to be very proud of.
If anyone makes a negative statement about anyone I admired, my first instinct is to come to their aid!
I am so glad that God is my judge. He is the only one who knows my heart and my intent!
We are all here with a common goal, and that is all things Big Brother! Things have happened in the BB house that has brought out different emotions from us, based on our life experiences.
It’s sad when we start turning on each other. There is not one person on this blog that I don’t admire! We are from different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. Let’s celebrate our differences. We can learn a lot if we just listen! There are some awesome people on this blog. Many of you have been friends for a long time. If I ever say anything out of line, I expect to be corrected.
I think as this season of BB comes to an end, we all will be relieved, but in the otherhand, we will miss this blog and the friendships we have made.
So, what are we going to do about the mess in the BB house? 😕

I also think the “He’s a guy” statement by Star was a bit much and sad, because of that thinking..by men and women..the rape culture and sexual abuse of women is made out to be nothing. Next time a man rapes , or sex traffics young girls and boys..or beats his girlfriend or wife to a pulp..or makes comments like Jason..( after all, they are FUNNY..right? ) Well, I guess He’s just being a guy. I feel sick. I hope Jason finds a SHITSTORM waiting for him when he gets out. May repercussions follow him professionally and personally. Rape is not a joke. Astra… On this subject we definitely agree. I also hope that there’s a shitstorm waiting for Alex because of her hypocrisy. Alex and others were criticizing Jessica for the playful goosing of others when, in fact, Ramses, Paul and Matt did the same. Alex thought it was the absolute worst thing anybody could do as it reminded her of her cousins’ rape and yet she sat there laughing when Jason was making his crude remarks, not once but twice! She deserves every bit of a backlash as Jason for having said it. Plus she’s a big bully and going to have a rude awakening on the outside.

Astra, Amen! And someone said I’m sensitive to rape because of the experience but no….even my husband will leave the room when there’s a rape scene in a movie even when I tell him it’s all fake and he’s never been raped. And guess what….he is a guy. I asked him if guys at his work talk trash about women. These guys work big machines so are blue collar workers and not preachers…he said a couple have put women down and the rest of the guys don’t like them and avoid them. He says the female manager who he likes because she’s helped out a lot with medical advise, has big breasts and wears low cut dresses and the guys just look at each other when she walks by but never talk trash. One day she told my husband he had a hole on the seat of his pants ( by the pocket) he knew it…she told him not to wear them like that again. It pissed him off. He told ME HE wanted to tell her to button her blouse. But of course didn’t.
He is a guy….I’m pretty sure.

I have literally STOPPED watching the show because it became so boring due to this strange arrangements of HG’s & production interference (Paul).

Fortunately, Lisa does and exceptional job with this blog. I enjoy reading her & others comments about the activities in the house. Which I didn’t realize was so heavily edited and swayed towards production favorites. (Paul)

I could be wrong but it seems like TMZ and other tabloid outlets have certainly had more to comment about this season than past seasons? Normally that would be good except all the reasons this season have been for NEGATIVE behavior or actions.

I’ve read many times that fans are feed up and will no longer watch. CBS better wake up and realize that their headed down the wrong path. The recent actions of Jason & Matt and the ongoing bullying by Paul, Christmas & Alex have them firmly headed in that direction.

I’m very interested to see what if anything CBS/Production will do??? Should they not address these HG’s this will CERTAINLY
be the last time I watch BB!

I’m curious to see if anyone else has similar feelings?

I’ve had a thought about Matt… Do y’all think it is possible that Big Brother is giving Matt 3 days to continue to violate the rules of the game and then expel him – making it impossible for there to be another person put on the block? I’ve read many times that fans are feed up and will no longer watch. CBS better wake up and realize that their headed down the wrong path. The recent actions of Jason & Matt and the ongoing bullying by Paul, Christmas & Alex have them firmly headed in that direction.
I’m very interested to see what if anything CBS/Production will do??? Should they not address these HG’s this will CERTAINLY
be the last time I watch BB!
I’m curious to see if anyone else has similar feelings?

I find it interesting that although as I understand it, it was Alex, Paul, and Josh in the room when Jason made his rape comments, most people on this blog are holding Alex to a higher accountability than Paul and Josh, what’s up with that? I am not defending her, they are equally guilty of laughing at something which is sick and disgusting. I can’t count the times IRL when I have had to bite my tongue when I higher up has said something super inappropriate like that, and I have had to pretend I didn’t hear it or it didn’t make me ill. I have never laughed at anything repulsive like that, but when I was younger, and I felt my job was on the line – I sure did play stupid, I needed a paycheck.

Alex told everyone she was traumatized as a child when her cousin was raped and murdered in the San Francisco area. She claims she was allowed to carry a cell phone when she was in the third grade because of it and that she is super sensitive to rape comments. She used it against Jessica earlier in the game after Jessica supposedly poked her in the vagina.

They omit so much from the regular shows that unless you follow a blog, like this one (which is the only one I look at) you wouldn’t be able to know what any of these people are like. I do remember reading about the rape and murder, but not the additional details as a I don’t read this blog consistently enough. These are certainly not a group of people I would invite over to my house, nor would I associate with them in my life. Hopefully, when they get out of the house and see themselves as we (or actually most of you do, as I don’t see their poor behavior for the most part) see them they can make some changes in their lives.

Once again, my initial comment said “pres, professional athletes, actors” I only got specific AFTER a couple of the SAME people who mention their religion pretty much on the daily told me NOT to talk bad about Trump, and said I drank the kool-aid, which is insulting.
I will never mention politics again as long as no one else on here refers to their religion or relationship to the divine. The term “drinking the kool-aid” comes from the Jonestown Massacre – On November 18, 1978 a cult Leader, Jim Jones from California, where I live engineered a mass “suicide” the first murdered were 200 children, nurses and other adults loaded oral syringes with cyanide and kool-aid and forced them to drink it. After the children were dead the adults drank the kool-aid laced with cyanide while armed guards stood around them. In all, 909 members of the cult died all, but two from poisoning. Five others were murdered by guards while trying to leave Guyana where this took place, one was a friend of my fathers, Congressman Leo Ryan. That is actually what “drinking the kool-aid” means – so I take offense. These women basically called me an idiot who drinks poison. It’s annoying to me how they pick at people and no one says anything, but you say anything to these two and here comes the avalanche.

Susan Graham August 30, 2017 at 5:32 pm: Although I am a Reverend, the program is part of The Reconciliation Commission overseen by the Rwandan and Kenyan governments. I come in as an outside expert in rape and incest to talk to the women, and the children in these programs, measure progress. Figure out what they feel is working and what they feel isn’t working. They like to have a group of women come in a few times of year to work with local women to make sure they are getting everything they need. I am the one who keeps all of the statistics, sadly, those sorts of things have to be kept track of in order to help them get funding sometimes. In reconciliation, the families of the aggressors live in close proximity to their victims, and their families in order to mend their broken country, since most all were involved on one side or the other. It is extremely complicated, but has been working surprisingly well for quite a few years. If you have seen the movie Hotel Rwanda it explains the conflict in a nutshell. What we have been working on is the repair.

If you listen to FOXNews Sean Hannity talks about people that are listening to fake news as drinking the Kool-Aid that is what I am referring to. As far as my sister and I saying sleep with the Angels and say good night to each other and living under the same roof is because my sister and her husband were gracious enough when I got cancer and lost everything to invite me to come and stay with them. Shortly after I arrived my sister’s husband passed away with cancer so we have been taking care of each other ever since We were separated for over 40 years 3000 miles apart. So I will continue every night before go to bed to tell her I love her and and to sleep with the Angels. 🙏🏻😴💤🙏🏻💤

We saw Jason’s family tonight! What goes into putting together these packages, and when you decide to include them?

We actually film with houseguest families each week but when there is drama and breaking story in the house these packages get put on the shelf. This week has seen Jason become a significant player in the house. He was put on the block and won the veto and received some emotional news from home. We had room for an outside package and seeing Jason’s wife and son helped to complete his story for this week.

We haven’t had a chance to see the jury house this season, but are you ever surprised with how popular this segment is? What do you think the jury house will be like this year?

This has been such a divided house and the people on one side are now all in the jury house. It will be interesting to see the current jurors reaction as the others are picked off one by one. Cody has some very strong opinions about who he likes and who he doesn’t like.

Jason could be in trouble, it depends on which rodeo that he works for. If it’s a rodeo that’s trying to maintain a family-friendly image, he’ll probably end up getting fired. To be honest, though, I’m not sure if being a rodeo clown was really his number one source of income. Judging from the segment with his wife, I get the feeling his family has more money than he’s letting on.

It depends. Some rodeos are rougher than others. But I think Jason’s is a more family friendly one.

I think his family owns that ranch. To be honest, rodeo clown isn’t something you go into unless you’re either really desperate or you don’t need to make a lot of money.
