Big Brother 27 — Veto, Veto, Burning Bright….

Hi, everyone!

Well, things certainly have gotten whiney in the Big Brother House.  Can you guess why?

If you guessed that Keanu used the veto on himself and then Mickey put Jimmy up as a replacement and Jimmy’s been crying about it ever since, congratulations!

Seriously, for someone who took such joy in being a jerk when he was HoH, Jimmy is showing that he can dish it out  but he can’t take it.  Every time I check with the feeds, he’s crying to Rachel.  Rachel keeps telling him that he has to win the Blockbuster.  Jimmy says that he’s going to and he certainly seems determined but Kelley, who has been pretty strong when it comes to the Blockbuster comps, will also be competing.

Myself, I’m ready for Jimmy to go.  Jimmy annoys me because there’s really not a single authentic thing about him.  Jimmy came into the House convinced that he already was a Big Brother legend but that’s a title you have to earn.  You can’t just decide you’re a legend, especially if your HoH was such a disaster that all of your original targets managed to save themselves from the block.  As well, Jimmy’s “clever” one liners tend to suck.  It’s hard to have much sympathy for someone who brags about how brilliant he is without offering up any evidence to back it up.

As for Mickey, she’s let her HoH go to her head.  She’s not that much different from Jimmy as far as that’s concerned.  She’s also made a few comments about Jimmy — mocking the way he speaks and his mannerisms — that are definitely going to come back to bite her once she leaves the house.  She and Morgan spent some time making fun of Jimmy’s “gay-asp,” which is how they describe his habit of over-dramatically gasping.  (It should be noted that Jimmy himself has used the term but the way Mickey and Morgan were repeating in their conversation seemed a bit overboard.)  After the veto meeting, when Rachel asked Mickey why she nominated Jimmy, Mickey said it was a “faith-based decision.”

Now, there’s two ways to take that.  It could be that Mickey just had “faith” that Jimmy was the right person to put up.  It could be her way of saying that she thought about it and in the end, she just felt Jimmy was a threat and the right person to nominate.  Or, you can assume that she put Jimmy up for religious reasons.  Needless to say, the Rachel and Jimmy fans on twitter and Bluesky have jumped to the second conclusion and Mickey is no longer that popular with them.  Myself, I’m willing to give Mickey the benefit of the doubt  but still, she could have phrased things a lot better.

As a result of all this drama, Rylie has kind of been forgotten.  He went from being the number one target to almost an afterthought.  It would be funny if Rylie stayed and then won HoH and put up Morgan, Ashley, and Mickey like he was originally planning.  Crazier things have happened!

Anyway, things aren’t looking good for Jimmy right now.  We’ll see what happens!

  1. For some reason these emails been going to clutter folder. Glad I noticed as usually don’t look at them and delete all. Great recap. At first hated jimmy. Now just dislike him. He does spices things up. On the fence if I want him to go. I guess ambivalent.

I am ready for Keanu and Kelly to go home. But it’s rigged for Keanu to win BB. Nothing wrong with Jimmy he tells the truth, but Keanu doesn’t. If they send Jimmy home then I am done with BB never to watch again.

  3. I like Keanu and Kelly they have had to fight each week to remain in the house unlike all the whiners sliding by. I hope Rylie, or Keanu do win HOH and even Kelly they deserve their turn to turn the whiners upside down in the house. I would like for Ashley, Mickey and or Morgan to leave next week. Even Rachel sick of her saying she is ready to go home. They picked the wrong one to bring back. She is definitely not the competitor she was!!! I am rooting for some of the under dogs that have had to fight to stay. BYE JIMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
