Hi, everyone!
There were a few surprising things about last night’s eviction episode.
First off, the houseguests actually voted out a player who had the potential to be dangerous to their games. Now, I think it’s debatable whether or not Jimmy could have ever been as big of a threat as he thought he was (his ego was his downfall) but still, Jimmy was actually in the House to play the game and create big moments. The House is going to be boring without him but, from a strategic point of view, he is the one you would want to evict.
Secondly, Rylie won the Blockbuster and ended Kelley’s streak. Rylie was probably thinking of Katharine the entire time. Earlier that day, he made her a friendship bracelet.
Third, Ashley is worthless. When it was time to vote, in the DR Hallway, Rachel talked to Ashley, obviously campaigning for Jimmy. In the Diary Room, Ashley voted to evict Kelley. Then, as she left, she ran into Will who was going in to vote. Will said something to her, probably that the entire house was voting for Jimmy. Ashley ran back into the diary room and said she was changing her vote to Jimmy. Then she left before Julie could tell her that “No, no, no,” that can’t be done. Seriously, that’s just weak on Ashley’s part.
Jimmy was voted out by an 8-2 to vote. Rachel voted to keep him. So did Ashley but Ashley didn’t realize it because she ran out of the Diary Room before Julie said, “No.” (Julie probably had to check with a producer about whether or not Ashley could change her vote.) After Jimmy left, Ashley was speculating about who that second vote could have come from. IT CAME FROM YOU, ASHLEY!
Anyway, the new HoH is Ava. Ava says she’s going to nominate Zach, Vinny, and Keanu for eviction because they were the three “shaking the most” when she won. But it also sounds like she really wants Keanu to win the veto so that she can put up Morgan. As well, Will has told Ava that he had to tell Ashley to change her vote to go along with the House so Ashley appears to be a potential target as well.
I liked Ava when this began but …. I don’t know. Last night, in the HoH room, it sounded like the power was already going to her head. She says that, at the nomination ceremony, she’s going to announce that if she hears anyone complaining about her nominations, she’ll put that person up as a renom. Okay Ava, you do that. See how long it takes for the House to turn against you, like they did with Jimmy.
Nominations are later today so we’ll see what happens!
