Big Brother 27 — Rachel In Charge

Hi, everyone!

Wow, it feels like a week has passed in just a few days.  Unfortunately, I’ve had some family commitments over the weekend, which kept me from updating as quickly as I wanted to.  Fortunately, I’m back now, right when things are about to get good.

So, Thursday, as well all saw, Zach was voted out of the house.  He didn’t use his secret power to stay so he got to keep his $10,000 but now he’s out of the game.  I really, really liked Zach so I hate the fact that he will probably be remembered for being too stupid and too trusting to take himself off the block.  Zach was very earnest and very naive and a terrible Big Brother player.

As for the HoH competition, Rachel won!  I don’t even like Rachel but I was happy that she won because I knew it meant that Mickey and Morgan would finally be targeted.  Both Mickey and Morgan have gotten pretty full of themselves over the past few weeks and both of them — especially Mickey — deserved to be humbled a bit.  What’s amazing is that, even though Rachel has made it pretty clear that she was angry over Jimmy being voted out and also Morgan declaring that Rachel would be voted out as soon as jury stated, both Mickey and Morgan still seemed to be shocked when they were actually nominated.  That’s pure arrogance on their part.

The third nominee is Vince.  Vince begged Rachel not to backdoor him and to give him a chance to play for the veto.  Rachel laughed and pointed out that Vince isn’t a good enough player to worthy of being backdoored.  Again, I don’t like Rachel but, in this case, Rachel was totally correct.  Vince is whiny and whatever charm he had at the start of the game has pretty much evaporated.

OTEV was played on Saturday and Lauren won!  Now, the only question is whether or not Lauren will use the veto.  As of right now, it doesn’t seem like Lauren is planning on doing it.  Lauren already told Rachel that she would not use the veto on either Mickey or Morgan.  Vince spent most of today begging Laruen to use the veto on him and Lauren has been giving him the standard, “I’d love to use the veto on you but I don’t know how other people would react,” excuse.

My prediction?  The veto will not be used.  Unless she wins the blockbuster, Mickey will be voted out on Thursday and she’ll probably be surprised.  Even after being nominated, Mickey still seems to be unaware that most of the houseguests want her out.  If Mickey does win the blockbuster, I imagine Morgan will be the one voted out.  Vince is probably safe for another week.

As for Rachel, she seems to be leaning towards going into an alliance with Keanu.  Who knows if that will last, though.  It was just two weeks ago that Rachel was talking about self-evicting.  Things can change quickly in this game.

Veto meeting is tomorrow.  We’ll see what happens!

Hello Lisa – thanks once again for the updates —I sure hope they vote out ‘Mickey’ – did anyone notice they don’t have ‘slop’ ? My husband was just mentioning that to me the other night —wonder if they’ll bring that back at some point?
