Big Brother 27 — Veto Confusion

Hi, everyone!

I cannot being to guess what is going on in Lauren’s head.  At first, Lauren said it was too early to make any big moves so she nominated Kelley, Keanu, and Will for eviction.  Surprise, surprise, Keanu won the veto.  Really, Lauren should have been smart enough to nominate a physical threat to go against Keanu in the veto comp if she was really that determined to get Keanu out of the house.

Yesterday, Lauren spent a lot of time thinking about who to put up as a replacement.  She talked to people like Vinny and Katherine and she indicated that she was thinking of making a big movie and putting up a power player.  The obvious choices there would be either Rachel or maybe Jimmy.

(Getting rid of Jimmy would not only make the House happy but would also get rid of one of the sneakier players.)

Instead, Lauren indicated that she was thinking about putting Ashley on the block.  She said that Ashley made the most sense for her game but she added that she was scared about who might get mad at her if she put up Ashley.  Still, as last night ended, she sounded pretty committed to taking a shot at Ashley.

So, of course, at today’s veto meeting, what did Lauren do?  She played it safe and put up Adrian.  Again.

Once again, on the block: Adrian, Kelley, and Will.

This is absolutely ludicrous.  Adrian is the favorite to win the Blockbuster so I doubt he’ll even have to face the voters.  Between Kelley and Will, it would probably be Kelley who would be voted out but for what purpose?  Kellley has no allies.  Kelley has no strategy.  Kelley has no shot at winning the game.  Kelley is exactly the type of player you want to keep around because she’ll be easy to beat as the finale approaches.

Basically, the lesson of this week is that Lauren is too scared to make a big move.  This was a wasted HoH.  I liked Lauren when this season began but now I’m just annoyed with her.  If you’re not going to play the game, you shouldn’t be in the house.  End of story.
