Hi, y’all:
On the one hand, Helen deserves a lot of credit for sticking to the plan and doing exactly what she had she was going to do. Kaitlin used the veto. Jeremy went up in her place. Despite all of Jeremy’s desperate campaigning, it looks like Jeremy is all but certain to go home.
On the other hand, the Big Brother House is kinda boring when everything goes to plan. It’s also hard to write an update about what’s going on in the BB House when there’s nothing new going on!
Seriously, somebody needs to stir something up between now and Thursday. 🙂
However, I think that Helen’s “success” as HoH is ultimately going to be her downfall. First off, she’s gone out of her way to try to make friends with every single houseguest — even the ones who are hated by everyone else. (For instance, there was really no reason for Helen to go out of her way to make Kaitlin feel safe.)
What Helen is failing to consider is that all alliances in the BB House eventually fall apart and the bigger the alliance, the quicker it’s going to fall. As HoH, Helen has literally attempted to make a deal with everyone. She may see that as keeping peace in the house but the other HGs are probably going to look at Helen and say, “Can any of us beat her?” Helen’s success of HoH may just serve to remind us why the best BB players — people like Dan and Dr. Will — often went out of their way not to be HoH.
In other house news, Jeremy is basically begging people to keep him, Kaitlin is upset because she feels that Jeremy is spending too much time campaigning and opposed to hanging out with her, and Gina Marie is still crying over Nick and telling people that they were destined to be together. Yesterday, some of the HGs were talking about literally having a memorial service for Nick to help Gina Marie move on but Gina Marie replied that it was still too soon.
(Meanwhile, I imagine Nick has probably decided that he will never set foot on Staten Island again…)
As for tonight’s show, we’ll have a chance to see the POV competition. It’ll also be interesting to see if the producers will chose to show us just how upset Amanda was over Elissa’s decision to nominate Spencer over Howard.

Considering this season has the worst players in BB history, at least it’s starting to turn around and get the crap out so maybe and hopefully a good game can begin. I’m very disappointed at the hypocrisy of a “reality” show having strong directors telling the players what they want them to do. I’m looking forward to aaryn and gina marie facing “reality” outside of BB.

Helen’s conciliatory views and her insistence on taking a metaposition of peace, love and harmony in the BB household will, thankfully, come to an end on Thursday night. This again, to me, refers back to the nature of the work she does in her personal life. This is not the BB game, however.
One of the things that Helen said that irked me the most was that they couldn’t put Kaitlin up for eviction next week because “she took one for the team” by USING her POV to remove herself from the block. Huh? What ridiculousness is that, Helen. She saved herself or was going home. Like every other nominee. For that reason I hope we don’t get a new HoH that is easily swayed by Helen. Amanda comes to mind although she seems to be trying to fly low right now. I would really like to see Aaryn go next with Spencer following. Or Andy. Little chit is getting on my nerves. And Aaryn is self-explanatory.

I will be so glad when this week is over. I am ready for a new hoh! Dont care who just someone else. I just hope they dont want to be best friends with everyone. As much as we are offended by the racial and homophobic comments let’s not forget the pathetic, insulting language and attitude Spencer has used toward women (and gays). He is no less guilty than Aaryn and GM (and Kaitlin who has used the “N” word and laughed along at the racially motivated attacks on Candice and Howard).

As much as I hate to say it I would love to see Jeremy stay this week just to shake things up in this boring house. I would like to see Aaryn or Spencer go home instead. We have seen that Jeremy will turn his back on Kaitlyn in a heartbeat so I think that could be interesting to see him play her a little more and her to continue to be an idiot. I also have to say that I do believe my favorite in the house at this point is Judd and I would love to see him go far in the game.

@Sal: Love it. Elissa seems to often be medicated (Xanax? Mood stabilizer? Zoloft?) and talks very slowly. She also freaks out at the simplest thing although I’m glad she sort of seems to be enjoying (some of) her time in the House. If she wins MVP one more time (and she will, eat me Endemol), I will be the dude you read about who did a cannonball off of the Stratosphere here and created a wonderful human Jackson Pollock on the Las Vegas Strip. Sal — The Boomhauer/Judd comparison is perfect! I’m in the Dallas area and I live in the same town that Mike Judge used as the basis for Arlen in King of the Hill so I deal with people who sound like Judd all the time. (Plus, he reminds me of the country side of my family…) I guess that’s why I never have a hard time understanding what Judd’s talking about. 🙂

@Starfish – Elissa might be smarter than we think. I have not heard her talk a lot about game play, but then again, I don’t have the live feeds. She seems to be laying back and just listening. Princess, there are only 2 or 3 accurate things on that list of 11. I do remember reading that preseason… and I think it was from someone claiming to be “corner office”… but it must have been just someone spreading BS rumors… the true Corner Office is usually more accurate than that.

These people still don’t seem to understand the power of the MVP.
They are constantly worried about who will win HOH (Helen & Elissa are worried what Aaryn will do if she wins).
It doesn’t matter if Aaryn wins HOH! All that does is buy her another week… but you are still safe Helen & Elissa (remember last week?.. Nick went home when Aaryn was HOH).
I would really love to see someone in the house understand that the game will go one way no matter who is HOH…. whether it’s Aaryn, Howard, Spencer, or GM next to go (after Jeremy). Even if one of those 4 wins HOH… one of those 4 will still go home.
I wonder if CBS is realizing how bad for the game this twist is? It takes away any true meaning of winning HOH.
For me, the game will actually begin when the MVP is over and HOH means something again…. and when I can’t predict who is going home 10 days ahead of time.

As a Super Fan of Big Brother, I am so blessed to be part of this year’s cast. It is just icing on the cake that I am this week’s HOH – what a dream come true.
What a crazy week it has been in the Big Brother house (BBH). Last week, Nick became the third nominee after Jeremy won the Power of Veto and took himself off the block. Elissa and I planned for the BBH to evict Nick, however the Houseguests started to lean towards evicting Elissa. WHAT?!??! I remember thinking something is not right, someone (Spencer and/or Howard) is lying to me and evicting Elissa CAN NOT happen. I knew it was imperative Nick be evicted if we were ever going to find out the truth (The final vote count to evict Nick was 7 to 4 instead of 8 to 3). I want to give props to Judd, who helped secure Jessie’s vote to keep Elissa in the House, which was a game changer that helped bring down the Moving Company Alliance.
My three goals as HOH was to find out the truth behind Spencer and Howard, backdoor Jeremy and get the girls together for some fun – even though the girls are divided in the House, I thought it would be nice to host a Nail Party and set a tone that while we are “competing”, we don’t need to “fight” – hoping this would help bring down the drama.
Over the last few days, every member of the Moving Company Alliance has spilled their beans, including Jeremy – it is amazing how quickly they all threw each other under the bus and confessed everything. McCrae was the first person to inform me about the Moving Company Alliance, and because he has been loyal with his votes I have decided to forgive him and continue working with him.
Spencer and Howard are a different story. They have told me repeatedly the only two people I should trust in the game was the two of them while they were lying to me the entire time, but I have bigger fish to fry this week. Ever since Jeremy yelled at Andy, Elissa, Candy and Amanda about the red wine, Jeremy has been my biggest target. While I have forgiven Jeremy, I have not forgotten. His presence in the House makes every Houseguest uneasy, including Kaitlin, and it is time for an exorcism and get the evil spirit of Jeremy out of this House.
I think with Jeremy finally gone, the Houseguests will become more confident, and I can’t wait to see who wins the next competitions.
The hardest part of this game is missing my husband and two boys. It is a blessing to have my fellow mom, Elissa, in this game with me. Having someone who can understand how much I miss my children and talk to has really helped.
In closing, thanks America for watching this season.

@JT: Agree with you on Corner Office. Before, whomever it was, was always spot on and released accurate info over a short period of time. (Imagine he/she got in trouble and/or had infor pipeline cut off for bursting CBS’s surprise bubble.)

You can never be sure with the Bachelorette, it looks like Brooks has it in the Bag, but who knows, I think he’s the best choice but I didn’t think she would let Zack go over Drew, I find him to be not very interesting, she seemed to have fun with Chris who had a weird Dad, so glad he didn’t do the nose thing on Des. Good luck to her and I wouldn’t mind Zack as next Bachelor, not sure why he would want to do it, he seemed so upset by the whole thing.

Great show tonight. I have one question for all you moms. Do any of you cry to get your kids to do what you want? Really? Cry?? Really?? That’s horrible.
Loved the “you know nothing Jon Snow” Game of Thrones reference. Read all the books. They tell you nothing and lose characters that were once important who just disappear and I was disappointed in the entire series! There was no resolution to anything. Still watch the show tho. Stupid is as stupid does is all I can say bout that! I help my hubby understand what’s going on because following it on TV can be confusing with the hundreds of characters. Great wolves!

Starfish, Thanks for no spoilers on Game Of Thrones! 🙂 I didn’t read the books.. the show’s really good at times, but season 3 dragged ass in the middle. I guess they are stalling so the writer has more time to finish writing the books? He’s still supposed to write 2 more….. right? Probably not a good idea to start a tv series before the books are done being written.

Starfish, I never ever cried to get my kids to do what I wanted. As a matter of fact, I would do everything in my power not to let them see me cry. I think it is pathetic and manipulative. I wouldn’t want my kids, who are now 40’s, 30’s, and 20’s to think that crying is something you “use”. I have always encouraged them to show their feelings and there is nothing wrong with crying but that is a whole lot different than crying to get something or to get a desired reaction. Actually, it pisses me off.

@Betty, I certainly hope they don’t rig the comps to fit anyone even tho I would love to see Candice win. Not so much Howard. He was so loyal to the MC that he screwed himself by lying to Helen. He should have known she knew about it to ask him the question. Maybe he’s not that perceptive.
CBS has said on many occasions that all the comps have to be planned well ahead of time for the show but that doesn’t mean they can’t change them around during the show.

First of all, would have rather seen Jeremy go than Nick who I think would have kept the show interesting. Gina Marie, though has shown her true colors as being a tough little hussie. Elissa I originally just wanted out of there because I couldn’t stand her sister! and agree her voice is SOOO annoying,, but have found myself rooting for her .. maybe because she started out as being the underdog, but she’s become awful smug about always getting voted MVP. (hint. hint. It’s time to give someone else a chance people!) But I gave her credit for not caving into what Amanda and McCrae (although I like both of them!) were trying to pressure her into doing. It was ultimately HER choice to make so for Amanda to get in a huff because Elissa didn’t choose who Amanda wanted her to choose was ridiculous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I personally like Howard and don’t want to see him voted out and agree the little blonde wench should go next so she doesn’t get to be part of the jury house which she doesn’t deserve! Candace and Judd both deserve to stick around .. although I’m not sure deserve to actually win because I haven’t yet seen either of them show that they are strong players but maybe their chance just hasn’t come yet. Yes, and GM is truly living in her own little world!! it’s quite hilarious!! She dangled the cheese so many times and Nick didn’t bite one time, not even a nibble, zip zero! She was telling Nick she can’t wait until their first kiss and Nick said I’m excited because your excited! How clueless can you be. Somebody needs to rent “He’s just not in to you!” for home girl when she goes home!! Then she tells Jessie she just mad because Nick jumped in her bed. It’s obvious she doesn’t get much attention back home. You know her family/friends have to be embarrassed for her.
