Big Brother 18: Guess Who I’m Ready To Say Goodbye To

Hi, y’all!

Well, I am back from my two-day vacation, I have caught up with everything’s that happened in the Big Brother house, I watched the CBS show tonight, and I’m watching the LFs right now. Can you guess who I’m ready to wish a fond farewell?

I’ll give you a clue.

She cries a lot and she’s only on the show because she is someone’s sister.

Okay, that’s two clues but you know who I’m talking about.

Tiffany!

Now, I realize that some people disagree with me on this and that’s okay. I know that Tiffany has her share of fans. There are people who think that she is playing a brilliant game or that she’s the underdog who is currently being bullied by the house.

I do have some sympathy for Tiffany. I get the feeling that if Tiffany was not Vanessa’s sister, she would not have been asked to appear on the show. Tiffany is socially awkward and has a hard time talking to others and she’s suffered as a result. There’s a part of me that suspects that Tiffany is actually very shy and I don’t think she would have ever tried out for the show on her own. I imagine that the producers approached her and probably told her that she would have an easy time in the house.

So, to a certain extent, I feel a little bit sorry for her. But at the same time, Tiffany’s constant drama and whining is starting to get old. Her self-righteous argument that she has “played the game right” is extremely annoying. Tiffany has been a good source of drama and I appreciate the fact that she’s spent the last few days blowing up everyone’s game but a little bit of Tiffany goes a long way. If Tiffany survives this week, it’s going to be nonstop Tiffany drama for the rest of the season. There’s only so much time I can spend watching one person sob about being nominated for eviction.

And right now, it does look like Tiffany is going to be voted out. She’s tried to make new alliances with everyone — Frank, Da’Vonne, and Paulie. She’s revealed everyone’s secrets to everyone else and she doesn’t seem to realize that being a snitch only gives the houseguests even more an incentive not to trust her. While Paulie is probably glad that she told him everything that people have been saying about him in the house, he doesn’t really has any incentive to keep her around.

Frank, of course, needs her to stay because he has precious few allies in the house. Frank knows that he’s living on borrowed time. He may not like Tiffany but she’s shown a willingness to work with him and he needs people who are willing to work with him. Otherwise, nobody else in the house has any reason to keep Tiffany around.

Tiffany nominated Corey after she won the roadkill. And Corey has won the POV and is planning on taking himself off the block on Monday morning. Tiffany will be nominating Da’Vonne in his place.

Tiffany thinks that she can convince people to keep her over Da’Vonne. And she may be right, though I doubt. Da’Vonne is playing hard and she has alienated a lot of people in the house. Right now, Paulie says that, even if Da’Vonne is the replacement nominee, he still wants Tiffany out. That could change but it probably won’t.

Of course, whoever is evicted on Thursday will immediately get a chance to reenter the house on Friday. Neither Tiffany nor Da’Vonne have really been impressive as far as challenges are concerned. At this point — out of Glenn, Jozea, Victor, Bronte, and whoever is evicted on Thursday — I think Victor is still the favorite to return. It depends on the challenge, of course. But out of that sorry group of Houseguests, Victor was the strongest physically. (I would say all the evictees are pretty much evenly matched mentally.)

We’ll see what happens. As of right now, it looks like Da’Vonne will be nominated in Corey’s place and Tiffany will be evicted on Thursday!

Bye Bye Tiffany… Happiest News this year… she has been Vanessa 2.0 for us… cant wait for her to be GONE!!!!… the Best part of Sun TV show was when Day & Zee were LAUGHING at her while she “Fake Cried”, Lmao …☺…

She contributes nothing to the game but a flip vote for the 8-pacck or girl alliance(Mama Da, Zi, Nicole) depending on who she is kissing up to that week. But she goes around interrogating people on who they are talking to, what they are talking about and basically acting like she is the bad ass that will get them evicted if they don’t answer her questions. As Rachel would say, Meech better grab a life vest.

Thank you Lisa! I agree…Tiffany would most likely NOT be on the show, except for the fact of being Vanessa’s sister…speaking of..why are they both so ” sensitive”..crying all the time? Perhaps a bad childhood/homelife growing up? This was mentioned somewhere before..I think it’s a good point. Very dysfunctional! @ Star..from last post….I agree, Nicole is not a strong player and I’m glad that ridiculous kitty dress bothered you too! LOL!

Astra, I agree about Tiff not being on the show if it weren’t for her sister. The thing is, I don’t believe her crying and sympathy babble one bit. I don’t know why, I’m just not buying it. I think Van probably coached her but is now yelling at the screen to STFU telling everyone’s conversations to everyone else. Tiff has made her own bed but “sensitive” I just can’t feel sorry for her. Does that make me bad? 😀

Star July 18, 2016 at 7:39 pm: Hey! Don’t leave ME out you guys!!lol I wanna be bad too!! lol I’m not sure what to think about Tiff’s crying. Sometimes I buy it and others I don’t. But….even if anyone else does, they were saying last night that it’s too late for her./ She did give them a lot of info, especially about Day, but now she’s a snitch and no one wants a snitch on their team. So either way, it’s too little too late for her.
I think the point about her being naturally shy is valid and she and BB just aren’t a MATCH! Seems like one would know that about ones self and not even want to do something so out of your comfort zone. DO you think the SPECIAL players, like her and Paulie and the Vets get paid substantially more????

Actually, the more I think about it..I hope Da and Frank stay in the house together for a while more..such drama from the 2 of them..2 strong personalities. I am pulling for Da tho….Frank is OK as a person, just too pushy and full of himself for my taste. Da has a little girl ( single mom) and I just feel for her. She’s trying…when your a woman..you cant have the same traits as a strong man..without being a “bitch”….I hate that. So..go Da!! I am for her. Is she a snake? sure..but so is Frank. Why does it look better on him? Not to me..IMHO

You’re voicing much of what I’m feeling, Astra Kelly. I like Da, too, even though she can be prickly – sometimes BECAUSE of that – she tells it like it is. But you are so right, if she was a man, it wouldn’t even be a thing.

This is the first time since season 1 that I am not really rooting for anyone! No one stands out as a “star” player. Even though I wasn’t a fan of season 16 and 17, there were players that you could support! Whoever picked this season’s players, did us no favors. Unfortunately, I wasn’t even looking forward to tonight’s episode. This is the first time in all of the season, beginning with season 1, that I have felt this way.
Lisa, I hope you had a nice break. I always look forward to your posts. I wish I could be more positive about the show, but I find myself waiting for something exciting to finally happen. Like you said, Frank and Da are the only ones who seem to be playing the game. I do get tired of Tiffany’s crying and also I have had enough of Da shaking her head and pointing her fingers at everyone even when she’s in the DR. I also think Nicole’s little girl’s dress was surprising to say the least! 👰 I am looking forward to more comments from everyone. Have a great week!

Frank and DA can’t work together as a team both of them have a big mouth. I think tiffany would be good if only she did not talk to much and so emotional. That Kitty dress on Nicole has to go maybe she wants to very young. It would be funny if Tiffany goes out then comes back in.

the mom in me felt sorry for tiff. a part of me will never grow up but when i’m around someone upset i have this need to try to fix it. but even i can take so much. i’d give her a benedryl and put her to bed.

I so want James to win……………..he’s my fav.
frank and ……well everyone except maybe nicole can go home.

been taking care of a sick dog..
and watching ants walk across my kitchen counter to where james put the poison that’s sweet….but i hate them so much..i mean i start feel like things are crawling on me. so i made a boundary line so i could use my sink and front of the counter…i used cinnamon and alllll the cinnamon OIL i could find…they hate it. a few made it through and i smashed them….mostly it confuses them.i can’t believe how they were coming out of the electric outlet and through the back of the counter..i can’t even see a crack….i am so creeped out…

by the way……..don’t put your finger in your ear after you’ve had cinnamon oil on your hands…..even if you wash them first…….

ROFL Tendre I’m not laughing at you I’m laughing ( crying) with you. What is it with the ants this year? Now I do admit my house was built on a giant ant colony 30 years ago, but good grief I’ve tried EVERYTHING! Cinnamon, cinnamon oil, bait traps, fly swatters and when everything else fails I just squirt Clorox clean up and paper towel those critters away. Must be the weather. Here in Maryland we literally went from winter to summer…no spring. As of this moment I’m still in West Virginia ( leaving for home today) and here they have the most annoying biting flies. See? The BUGS are taking over! And as far as BB goes……I missed yesterday’s show and it’s recorded at home, but sounds like same old stuff so I might not even need to watch it. Tiff has been annoying to me from the beginning. Frank doesn’t bother me but he doesn’t excite me either. I waiver on whether Nicole is playing the game and while I think Da is playing a bit too hard this early at least she’s playing. James…….well this is summer camp to James. Well gotta finish packing. Both Nicole and James are floaters. Were in their seasons too. It’s like identical games! Nic hooked up with a guy , only in this case, he doesn’t seem to care and James is spending all day every day cuddling in bed with a girl *friend*.
They are both NICE and well liked by fans, but not great players. Maybe they are just laying low but….somehow I doubt it!!! I think the only way they had a shot would have been if they’d have stuck with the Vet alliance but that seems shot to smithereens. Floaters…grab a life vest!!!!! lol

Try Borac acid mixed with peanut butter. They bring it back to the colony and kills them all. You can by the acid in Walmart really cheap. Put it on some waxed paper or cardboard and by, by ants! Keep away from kids and pets.

tendr, I had the same Mom thing going too but it didn’t last too long. I have to say that I like the momentary spunk I see from Tiffany every now and then. She needs to stick with that instead of crying.

Thank you Lisa for your wonderful summary and everyone else for your comments. I was away for the weekend and was glad to see all the posts.

I guess I am kind of the odd one out here because I honestly like this season better than quite a few in the past including last season. I agree that they need to find better house guests though. Quit going out and hunting them down at modeling and acting tryouts. Take from the people who apply. I don’t care if they look like models or if they are goofy and sound like school kids. I want people who PLAY THE GAME. That have at least a little knowledge of how to win and that they WANT to win.

Thanks Lisa for another great summary of BB events. You’re the
best. Thank you, too, for allowing each of us to be ourselves and
speak our minds without feelings of judgment. Your caring has
created a caring place for discussions on BB to take place.

Having Tiff go will be fine with me. I have a real problem with the
ones who come on and want to cry and irritate when they’re put on
the block. It is part of the expected part of BB. That is the problem with recruiting players who don’t understand the game. They don’t
know how to handle the bummer parts of the game, and they don’t
understand that trust is in small quantities once in the house and
the game really gets started. But this season has been overrun with
players (esp. the vets) who can’t keep their mouths shut. Even Paulie, who seems to know the game better than most can’t seem to stop talking to the wrong people or to everyone about things that are bound to blow up his game.
Mama D is there for the right reasons, but can’t seem to get her
game together any better than the first time she tried. While I
empathize with her need for the money and wish she was playing
a better game, there is something in her nature that pushes her to
start trouble throughout the house and hurts her in the end.
I think the reason the guys come in with an advantage is that they
are more capable of sticking together than the females.
As for Nicole…I wanted so badly to be able to root for her this
season, but I can’t. She’s not playing the game with any skill and
her whining voice is almost as irritating as Bronte’s. To me it is so
much worse than her first season. I find myself mentally urging her
to speak faster and with more personality. It is like watching a show
in slow motion.
At least that’s my take so far. Am looking forward to the comments
of others.

@Sherry….I agree with you 100% about Nicole. I so wanted to root for her this year since the only other one I half like is James but she is such a whiney baby! Her whiney voice drives me nuts! She can’t seem to get her mind off Corey and truly I don’t think he is interested!

Betg July 18, 2016 at 11:46 pm: I hate to say this but Nicole has no nostrils (seriously look at her nose, there slits) I’m not one to critisize peoples flaws but this is why she has the most annoying whiney voice next to Bronte!! Not quite sure what she’s doing as far as game play, by the looks of it neither does she!! Looks to me like James finally has a bite and I think it’s kind of cute! I imagine him putting his woman on a pedestal!! Hoping they get out Tiffany this week once and for all. If they don’t they will regret it, again!!!

Sherry, I agree…I have a strong personality and I am a woman..so I sympathize with Da..I think she is trying very hard..but as you said..She’s hurting her game. Since the women in the house this season are laughable..really…Da should allign herself with maybe 2 men..for final 3. The women are too weak to help her. And yes, Nicole is just very bad at the game…worse than her season. I loved the remarks on past posts..”go to Match.Com…she’s not there to play the game.

sherry..I totally agree with your evaluations! But as far as the Mama Da debate……I don’t like or dislike her because she has a kid at home and needs the money! We ALL need more money for our own reasons. And I don’t favor anyone out of sympathy. Either you know how to play the game and the HGS…or you don’t. Period. End of story. To quote ED….;)

Oh..forgot about Nicole’s speech!!! HOW could I??LOL I loved Nic in her season. I didn’t think she’d win but I liked her and Hayden and she was from Mich, like me!
But this year…OMG..my ears!!!! It’s not just the whiney voice….which has gotten noticeably worse….. but how SLOW she talks! And she looses her train of thought, weak as it is, all the time! I just want to slap her and PULL the words out of her damn mouth!!lol
Otherwise, she’s a nice girl. 😀

Hey there! I am all caught up on the CBS shows, I am not even going to bother trying to watch BBAD. I haven’t read any blogs for over two weeks so I am not caught up on any back stories.

But Frank & Brittney? Really? Ew.

This Sunday roadkill comp, what creative CBS genius came up with the Killer Air scenario? The work they must have gone through to create that stench! I was holding my nose and almost retching as various players described the smell. I have a creative imagination, my olafactory system was on overdrive. Thank gawd smellovision has not been invented yet! With all the problems in the world these days maybe they shouldn’t go there, that is an invention the world really can do without! Anyway, my dinner didn’t sit well with me all night x-( I feel for the staff that had to deal with that hot mess. No wonder why the place has ants.

Tendr…hope the dog is ok. As for the ants ugh I had them so bad in beginning of Summer that I found some in my dishwasher. They will not cross a chalk or powder line because they leave a pheromone trail for other ants to follow. So you can chalk all thresholds, window wells Sprinkle powder on ant hills, etc… I don’t have a single ant anymore. Of course my husband used good old fashioned poison outside too haha…but chalk/powder might be worth a try.

Now did I miss something?? (Not unusual for me) Tiff was warned about Day by Audrey? I think I read that on last post.

Good Lord! I have just realized, doesn’t CBS have a show called Uncle Buck? In roadkill comp the players were mentioning what Uncle Buck had been up to in the RV bathroom.

What an effusive way for CBS to promote that show! Not!!!

Why can Survivor season after season get people that can and know how to play the game but, BB gets a roster full of people that don’t have a clue year after year?

Maybe Nicole’s dress was a new take on the loli style that is getting more popular. Anyway Nicole, Frank and James are the best bet this season, at least from my viewpoint.

Agree on why one show can and this one can’t. CBS HAS to know it’s hurting it’s ratings by doing this crap.
I’m not a Frank fan at all. Like Nicole and Paulie. James~well he’s James, playing with the girls at summer camp.
Corey-meh, not overly impressed, he’s like one of those big old goofy apes you stare at when at the zoo.
Tiff–no words, just send her home and I thank goodness she isn’t my child’s teacher!
Z–zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Day–not my fave, but brings entertainment to the table.
The ones I avoided mentioning… it’s because they are just figments of CBS’s imagination and not worthy of being commented on.

I’ve often thought the same thing. Here’s a few thoughts I’ve had, curious if you agree.

Survivor is a shorter season and everyone knows you’re going to starve and live in the elements so you have a far more dedicated person for that. BB is a “summer vacation” for the most part, in comparison. Also, with the length of the season of BB, they seem to want more “pretty people”, thinking that’s what will garner ratings.

Another thought is Survivor is far more popular, so more people know about it/watch it. It airs during the main TV schedule, hence the larger $1 million prize. Since it’s on during the main TV seasons, they have more ad money, more viewers, more people know about the show. BB is a “summer show” and goes up against reruns and other “lesser” shows. Most people are out enjoying summer and not dedicated to watching TV. Since the invention of the DVR, that may not be the case, but I know plenty of people that are never home in the summer…and that’s when BB airs.

Survivor has has almost twice as many seasons as BB. Survivor airs 2 seasons a year. Twice as many chances to see/know about the show and it’s inner workings. Other than the one year with the writers strike, when BB had a “winter season”, BB is only on once a year.

Finally, I think a lot of it has to do with the Producers. Jeff Probst and the rest of his crew are “all in’ trying to make each season, cast, location, comps, better every year. BB’s Producers seem to not care about the competition aspect as much for whatever reason. They cast a “type” instead of a player, IMO. I cant remember his name, but BB had a producer from the begining, or at least season 2 when the game evolved to what it is now. He was instramental in making the show great. I believe he left the show after Season 6 or the All Star season…..and it’s been on a decline since then. Grodneer, the producer now, just seems to want young, clueless, “types”…..or some sort of celeb tie in (Frankie) or bring back old players, or have their siblings….it’s always something like that. All for ratings, not for the game. Survivor does this to, but they are far better at it.

Sorry, that got a bit long. I’ve had these thoughts in my head for a while now and I finally found someone to let me purge them . 😀

Lisa great update! I could not agree with you more! I was thinking the same thing when she was spilling her guts to Paulie. Why in the world would anyone want to keep her when she can’t keep secrets! I must say though, that I enjoyed the drama from all the disclosures. She has Day jumping trying to convince everyone that Tiff is lying, which we all know she isn’t. Michelle and Z still believe everything Day is spinning while Nicole, Corey, Paulie, and Paul know better. I’m surprised at Michelle because she’s pretty perceptive and straight forward. She is going to be royally pissed when/if she finds out!

Frank is also jumping around trying to convince everyone how wonderful Tiff is and how deceptive Day is. He gets kinda angry with everyone when they are not receptive. I loved his exchange with Michelle when he was trying to get her to change her mind and vote for Tiff to stay. lol He was getting heated when she was resisting. He’s also trying to force her to like Bridgett and getting agitated when she doesn’t agree. Go figure. I loved it. He’s saying the opposite of what he was saying last week. He has also been saying he wants to get Michelle out when the teams are over because he knows he can’t control her like he does Bridgett.

On the topic of Frank lets talk about Bridgett. I AM READY FOR HER TO GOOOOOOOOOO! She looks so adoringly at Frank it makes me want to vomit. And can we talk about that giggle even when nothing is being said. She just sits and giggles. Drives me nuts. She acts as if she is 12 years old. Her profanity (which, don’t get me wrong, I use myself) just seems wrong on her…like she’s playing at being a grownup and she is trying to copy Frank!

Well, since I’m at work I guess I should get to it for awhile! Be back later.

He and his contestant stunk and thankfully never made it on stage, but man…..he was just mugging for the camera, doing poses and faces every time his partner made a bid. No one’s bullying Tiffany, if anything she’s so annoying its almost to the point some people are not even watching BBAD this year. I don’t think I can watch her crying much longer. If that’s part of her gameplay she got from her sister then she’s not playing the game right. I hope Victor wins the spot to go back in the house cause I was actually just starting to like him before he got evicted. He would be the one that would shake up the house out of them all. plus he’s easy on the eyes… Thank you Lisa Marie for the great updates… you’re awesome!

I’m not a LF’er and this season I’ve really not cared much about BBAD. I watch every CBS show, read the blog, Twitter, and other various BB sites or FB groups. All that said, I think Paulie is really the only guy who’s playing the game. Am I missing something about him from not seeing the LF’s, etc?

On CBS, he’s the one who always seems to have a beat on what’s going on. He knew keeping Tiff was a bad idea. There’s been other examples of his intuition being pretty spot on, but I can’t think of them now. Is that all just a CBS “edit” or is he really the only decent player?

Because of what I’ve seen, he’s really the only player I like because he’s actually playing the game and he’s seems to be right about a lot of things. Everyone else is either clueless, or make the dumbest moves, or are just there for a summer vacation/TV time. He seems to actually be in it to win it.

I see people don’t care for him, saying he’s cocky, etc. I don’t know if that’s true or not. He’s young, been in athletics his whole life, so he’s gotta be competitive as hell. Throw in the Cody tie, he’s trying to compete with his brother, and wanting to win, besting him.

Am I missing something on him? I’m sure I am, but what is it?

Sirrock….in my opinion Paulie would be playing a great game if he could keep his mouth shut!!!!! He tells information to people he should not be talking to and seems to talk nonstop. Other than that I like him pretty good.

Sirrock…I like Paulie’s gameplay..I dont have the live feeds or BBAD…but I think your spot on. He seems shrewd..and intuitive..much better than Cody..who was just Derrick’s floater..IMHO. He is mildly cocky..not as bad as some others. I guess he spoke to Derrick about the game..his family and Derrick’s are close now. Prob. got alot of pointers.

And totally agree….Cody’s only real asset was he was loyal….and that was even to a fault. He handed Derrick the win when he stayed loyal and took him to the end. Hard decision…..betray what I guess is a true friend or be cut throat and win because it’s life changing money and it’s only a game. I guess Derrick bought him a truck or some shit, and he got 50k but still….you gotta go for the win. I would have respected that move. Cody was just like you said, a nothing…..a vote…..a person who gave Derrick info and he just hung with him to the end.

I bet Cody’s advice was, “Find the smartest guy, make a deal on day 2 and stay loyal till the end.” hahaha!! Derrick probably told him “Be the smartest guy and find some loyal dude like your brother to take you to the end so you win easily.” hahahaha!!

There is really no one that I am really invested in this year and would want to win. There are a lot that I don’t want to win though! I would watch though because I’m addicted. lol

I don’t really have anyone I’m rooting for either. I just kinda like Paulie because he seems to be a bit more “with it” as far as the game goes. Everyone else really hasn’t stood out for any decent game play. It’s either drama, stupidity, or trying to be funny….but not game play. Like you said, I”m a BB junkie so I’m watching no matter what…..but I really love when a good player makes great moves more than watching people fight or jump out of garbage cans or had a showmance.

I see some post saying Paulie is getting a big head or being a dick. I was just thinking, he was safe when he was HOH, then Bridget was HoH so he was safe again, then he won HoH again. He really hasn’t had to be worried at all, since the first nomination and even then he was a pawn. Yeah, “Paws go home” sometimes, but he was never the target. I think the HG’s will regret that, but Jozea had to be dealt with. They better break up these teams soon or Paulie/Frank/Bridget/Michelle will be safe for a loooooong time.

I kinda think that when they bring the evicted HG back in will be when they disband the teams, unless Production is really trying to keep Frank safe.

Paulie is getting HOHitis a little bit saying ‘I’m gonna do this, I’m gonna do that’. Typical HOHitis stuff. Puffing up the chest a little but not near as bad as what we have seen in the past. Although the minute he won this last time there was Frank up there trying to tell him what to do like he did Bridgett. Paulie kinda stood his ground though.

I loved the wood chipper comment!!!!!! Had me laughing out loud.
