Jolee – I’m pretty much a night owl too. Someone once asked me if I didn’t miss watching the sun rise. I said I don’t miss it because I watch the sun come up right before I go to bed! : ) When my dad was sick, I stayed with him at night. 8-8 I stayed awake, and after that, I just never made the transition back to days. Family and friends never try to contact me before 3pm. Now if I could just get the rest of the world to follow along. I’ve often said I was born in the wrong time zone. Say Hawaiian time!
Starfish – its and it’s drive me crazy too and even worse is when I reread what I’ve written and see that I messed up too. Proofreading the vernacular was the worst.

If you look up Night owl in the dictionary my picture would be there. We owned a Bakery for 20 years. So I don’t get sleepy till the sun comes up. When I was going through chemotherapy, I couldn’t sleep so I would play Bingo on the internet all night. I met a lot of wonderful friends that were going through the same thing. That was 10 years ago, I still keep in touch with some of them and some are FB friend’s. Life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. God is good all the time. {{{HUGS}}}

Seems to be a hell of a lot of alliances this year. I suppose you need to shift your game as time goes on. These 4 are a good group. All can win and are pretty level headed. Let’s see how long this one lasts.

Sir Rock – I don’t remember a season with so many alliances before either. Seems every couple of days there’s a new one, and some are in more than one alliance. It’s hard to keep track.

By the way I’m a night owl also. Especially during the summer when it’s so hot outside! I’d rather sleep during the heat and stay up at night when it’s cooler. Plus I take medicine that warns against being overheated or in direct sunlight so it works out well!!

I live in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island in Florida (we are north of Jacksonville near the Georgia/Florida border) so we can get pretty hot. I’m originally from New Orleans. My motto is “You can take the girl out of the city but you can’t take the city out of the girl” LOL

I’m a night owl. For several years I worked 1 pm to 9 pm then stayed up until about 2 am, got up about 10 or 11 am to do some cleaning etc. before work. Then I switched to 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; that was so hard my bipolar disorder kicked in overtime. I had to take some time through the FMLA then my agency furloughed me.

Last night I seemed tired though and ended up in bed before BB came on so I missed the last few minutes of the show because I didn’t know to DVR the program after it. 🙁 It cut off just when it looked like Zach and Jocasta might win the comp. I’m so glad I know that’s not true. I’ll have to watch it at cbs.com just to watch how they messed that up. Anyway, I slept for 4 hours and have been up sense. Today is going to be tough to get everything done I need to get done; doing my quarterly fumigation later and have a lot to do afterward. But gotta do what needs done to ensure I don’t get pests.

Zach or Jocasta. I don’t really who goes home. Zach is childish but keeps things a little interesting; still wouldn’t mind to see him go and watch Frankie melt down over losing his best friend in the house. But I’m so over Jocasta. Can’t stand her bow ties or how she talks about God being her ally in the house. If there is a god, I’d think she’d be busy to worry about who won a reality show. If Christine doesn’t use the veto, it may actually serve as a reminder to the HGs that you can’t always rely on the bd strategy. Sometimes it is best to just go ahead and nominate your target.

These house guests are so busy forming alliances that they forget to actually put the alliance to work building a strategy and implementing it.

I am so confused by all the alliances that I have no idea who or what is who or what.

I am not much of a night owl. I have to be up at 5 a.m. to be to work by 7 so I rarely get to bed after midnight, except on weekends. 11 is my normal time. I’m getting old so it is starting to take a toll. LOL

I want Zach to stay just because about half the time, he is genuinely funny. Not when he goes off on a tirade but other times.

Please send hone Zach, a don’t find him either funny or amusing. But if they BD Frankie I would still be happier. Thanks LM.

I want to say that I would like to see Jacosta go because all she does is cry and that annoys that crap out of me! I think that’s her plan before she walked in the house! Anywho I like Zack he makes me laugh a lot so I would like to see him stay he is playing the game and I can’t say that for the rest of them well Frankie does and I’m sorry I like that guy too. I like Nichole also she’s the only girl in the house I have liked since the beginning. Well that’s all I have for now. Thanks Lisa for keeping us informed I read ur blog everyday so thanks!

I am a hugger – I love hugs – they can be healing to emotions – I do not like inappropriate touchy, feelie! Frankie and Zach’s relationship is really gross, IMHO. I would like to see Zach go home Thursday.

I was watching BB last night with my girlfriend. We both, almost at the same time, were like, “Why does everyone HUG everyone all the damn time?” The “I love yous” get tossed around so much, its like they are saying gazunheidt after someone sneezes.

I think it must be my German roots, raised by a caring family that never really showed much affection. Same for my gf. I can see doing a handshake or a fist bump, maybe one of those handshakes that turn into a half hug….but it just seems so phony and over the top. I told my gf, we were in the house, we’d be voted out for not being huggy and lovey with everyone. hahaha!!!

Trust me, the important people in my life know how I feel about them. But a bunch of random people I just met an are trying to double cross to win $500k want me to hug up on them? I’ll pass. I know I’m probably a weirdo for even saying this stuff, but it always kinda bothered me. I just see it as kinda fake. Like when Hollywood people meet and do that fake kiss on the cheek thing. BARF!

But then again, toss a maybe 2 or 12 drinks in me and I love everyone. 🙂

@TxDeeva – Zach claims to be straight but he sure does love flirting with Frankie. Hey, whatever floats his boat, but he makes his “advances” seem like he’s joking. I think if they were alone (no cameras) and had some drinks, they’d be getting busy. That’s just my opinion. Zach has said he loves gay people so maybe he wants to experiment? No clue. It gives off kind of a weird vibe to anyone around, I think…like Cody. I think he’s been around it a few times (on the show) and he just shakes his head or rolls his eyes.

@Sir Rock – Thanks! I agree with you – I think if no cameras were involved it would be a done deal. Most straight men I know would NOT be cuddling and flirting with a gay man. Cody was making me laugh with his facial expressions last night! 🙂

I think the relationship between Frankie and Zach is sick! What’s going on with those two is one reason I am glad we don’t get BBAD anymore! From what I have seen on you tube it gets pretty bad! I think any kind of sex is private and I don’t want to see or hear it! 🙁 IMHO. Just remember, I am from a whole other generation! I guess you could say I’m an old fashioned girl (lady) 🙂 I don’t want to see what goes on behind your closed doors and I don’t want you to see what goes on behind mine! 🙂 (it would be very boring) lol. “:)

Craig, when you said “Code welcomes his (Frankie’s) advances” did you mean Zach. Because Cody is the one I saw shaking his head and rolling his eyes.

In private, I agree that Zankie would “get busy”. Great term. I use it for my dog to get busy when he has to go outside. 😆

As for the hugging. I love to hug but I don’t hug everyone and tell them I love you arbitrarily. They are just doing it because it seems the thing to do this season. Sometimes I Love you means different things and in this house, to me it means no more than a handshake.

@hpr56 – You just reminded me of something my dad said to me a few weeks before he died. I was by his bed and awkwardly holding his hand. After a few moments he said in his very weak voice “we are not a touchy-feely family” and shook my hand off. When my mom went under hospice care a couple of years later I tried to hug her and she resisted me saying “we don’t do that!”. Thinking back now I can’t remember when I ever hugged my parents or sister (Ick!). Now I crave to be touched but not in an affectionate way. Hugs, handshakes OK, caresses – not so much (unless by my cat).
(if for now other reason, this blog is providing me great therapy.)

CRAIG i was born in the 60s and my parents were like that – but not that blunt – i have found that people that i am around that are loving – it has rubbed off on them through the years – so sorry you didnt get that chance…..be the best YOU and you seem like a real nice guy – and you helped me get rid of those ding dang numbers!

It’s interesting the differences in hugging theories. My parents were from the depression era and we didn’t hug either in our family. However, when I moved out, I started hugging them both when I came to visit. It got so that my dad would stand up from his Lazy Boy and wait for me to come bounding in and give him a hug. He was a big man and a hug from him was a HUG. Miss them both. I love hugs but I mean it when I hug somebody.

Craig, this blog for therapy, that’s true for so many things by hearing everyone’s opinion on different things makes one think doesn’t it? I can finally differentiate between Cody and Zach but it took me awhile. 🙂

I think we can see the differences in all of us ! There are huggers and non huggers, affectionate and not so much! I know one thing for sure … I love all of you wonderful people on here and if I was to meet you face to face, I would give you an awesome hug!! I really am going to watch tv now! I was just being funny, I knew she was black.

My family was never big on hugging. My daughter is though and we hug every time we see one another which isn’t as often as I’d like.

I’m not a touchy/feely kind of person. I generally don’t like to be touched by anybody I don’t know well and then sometimes I want the other person to ask if we can hug.

As for all the touching and “I love you”s on BB–the phrase is getting overused and losing its meaning. Most of these people wouldn’t even like one another in the real world but they use a phrase that is supposed to convey deep feelings (either romantic or platonic) and suggest that you always have the other person’s back. I find it to be shallow.
