Hi, everyone:
So, was everyone else as annoyed by last night’s Double Eviction as I was? I swear, every time I start to get genuinely excited about this group of Houseguests, they do something stupid.
Now, personally, I don’t think it was a mistake to get rid of Shelli. Shelli was a bigger threat to win HoH than Vanessa and there was every reason to believe that, since it was a double eviction, they could just evict Vanessa right after they evicted Shelli.
BUT NO!
It didn’t work out that way,
Unfortunately, the biggest waste of space in the Big Brother House — Steve — won the HoH competition. Steve is the so-called genius who cannot think for himself. He’s the so-called Big Brother superfan who has apparently never seen an episode of Big Brother. Steve is the creepy weirdo who wanders around the house talking to himself.
And what’s weird is that production seems to love Steve. One consistent thing about the CBS show is that there’s always at least a few minutes devoted to Steve doing something silly. It’s as if the show is trying to fool us into thinking that Steve is another Ian. But those of us who have seen the live feeds know the truth. STEVE IS USELESS!
I have a theory. I think that originally, this season was supposed to be all about Audrey. She was the production favorite, the one who was supposed to win it all. But then Audrey turned out to be a — with all apologies to Becky — total trainwreck. She got evicted and you’ll notice that once it was obvious that the production favorite wasn’t going to last, the whole BB Takeover twist ended. Am I suggesting that the whole Takeover Twist was just designed as way to potentially protect Grodner’s favorites? Yes, I am.
But anyway, without Audrey around, production had to find a new favorite. They flirted a bit with Shelli and Clay but then those two ended up being way too vapid. Vanessa was briefly a favorite but then she turned out to be way too crazy. So now, I think that Steve is the new favorite. The CBS show was determined to make us like Steve or, at the very least, disguise the fact that Steve is useless.
But last night, during the live show, there was no editing to protect Steve. We saw him in all of his useless glory. We saw him talking to himself. We saw how, even after he won HoH, none of the other HGs wanted a thing to do with him. We saw the real Steve.
And you know what? The real Steve really needs to shave. But, beyond that, he also needs to grow a pair because his HoH reign was PATHETIC! Instead of going after Vanessa or breaking up a power couple, he nominated Meg and Jackie. When Johnny Mac won the veto, Steve apparently asked John not to use it.
Why?
Because Steve really did want to get rid of Jackie! Apparently, Vanessa told him that Jackie was going to come after him. So, Steve stunned almost everyone with his useless nominations. And then Jackie was evicted. (Austin was so surprised that he even forgot to mention his stupid alter ego while casting his vote.)
So, Shelli and Jackie was the first two members of the jury but, apparently, they will both have a chance to reeneter the game. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of jury members reenetering the game but, if John is evicted this week or next, I will quickly change my mind.
To make last night even worse, Liz won the next HoH competition and…
BLEH!
That’s right, Liz is HoH. And while the Hate Twins are jumping up and down and cheering in their oddly mannish voices, Vanessa and Austin are the real power behind the throne. As of right now, it appears that Becky and John are going up on the block and Becky is the target.
By the way, last night, Liz, Vanessa, Austin, and Julia all agreed that they need to change the name of the Freaks and Geeks Alliance. Liz suggested they call themselves the “Nerd Herd,” because she’s an idiot who has never seen any previous seasons of Big Brother.
On a final note, I can’t wait to see Steve evicted. WHAT A LOSER!

We agree again. Last night was so bad I said to myself bb not working for me this year, there has to be something else on Tv to watch, I am really upset with Steve and John. Becky did all that work and the gang failed her. She is upset and have all right to be. Looks like Steve’s parents are hoping to cash in on their Reality Star’s sudden success by putting their home on the market for $229,000 (supposedly reduced by $10,000 on 7/21) and still considerably above the Zillow estimate of $170,336.
First rule in home buying/selling: Buy the lowest price home in a high priced neighborhood, never the other way around. Average home prices in Steve’s neighborhood are in the low $100,000’s.
But wait, Steve’s parent’s house must be a no-brainer investment at any price because Reality Star, Steve Moses, once lived there, right?

Last night’s show was a night of missed opportunities. So frustrated. I wanted Van, Austin and the Twins out. Summer’s over the Twins need to go back to school. Start at the 5th grade and get it right this time. The thought of Austin in the HOH room with Liz makes me ill. Julia needs to stay in the room with her any only leave for meals. Whew!!! Got that off my chest.

Does anyone know what exactly was said between Steve and John after John won the POV?
When Johnny Mac was in the DR to cast the first vote to evict, the way he was talking to Julie Chen, my husband and I were both cracking up laughing, but later, after he decided NOT to use the POV, we were so disappointed – he is no longer our favorite. I can’t believe he would be so willing to help Steve. Yeesh! Can’t anyone just stick to a plan??

I know the houseguest were speculating about a double eviction, but why does BB have to tell them at the start of the show. Why not spring it on them after the first eviction so we can see their surprised faces. And why, oh why must they continually hug each other after a nomination and/or veto ceremony? And why must they still stand in front of the picture wall and just stare at it before making any nominations? I thought BB had gotten rid of that in the beginning. It’s so ridiculous!!! And I wholly agree with you Lisa Marie that Steve is a waste of space in the BB house. I can’t stomach the Austwins or Vanessa with her ratty knit hat any longer!!! Please, someone wake up the BB house and explain how the game is supposed to be played!!! I had hoped after James’ reign that maybe, just maybe there would actually be some game play and power moves, but noooooo!!! Okay, rant over.

Wow! What a mess in the BB house! What a lost opportunity to dethrone one of the biggest threats! Dumb move Steve!! Talk about dumb and dumber, John could have stirred the pot a little if he had used his brain and used his veto to take someone off the block. Then Steve would have another chance to make a smart move! Oh well, just another disappointment this season. I don’t know if anything will happen to put a spark in someone to “stop following the crowd!!!” Play your own game and put cotten in your ears to avoid being bullied into “going with the house!” Especially when they make ridiculous moves like last night. Now, for the first time this season, I want Steve gone!! So sad! I liked him second to Johnny Mc. But, where there’s life, there’s hope! Anything can change on a dime in the Big Brother house!

You forgot to mention how rigged the HoH comp was on last nights episode. The house was divided on which hand Clay was holding his cereal bowl in and BB knew that the goblins were wrong and freaks and geeks were right, and asked that question knowing that side of the house would all go down

On the Australian BB when someone goes to the diary room or is called there, they let us see it. At least most of the time because they’re there so often and it gets as silly as someone going there to cry or to complain about anything about anyone. And also when BB wants to make a game change. I think anytime someone talks to BB or production needs to “talk” to someone about the game We should see it. I still say half of the decisions made are productions. I only like Becky and John now. So looks like I’ll be set my nap time during BB time.

I don’t see it quite the same way as a lot of you. Who was Steve going to put up? He’s aligned with Vanessa who is aligned with Austwins. That leaves John, James, Becky, Meg and Jackie. Granted he probably should have put up James because he is a bigger threat to him and Vanessa but I see his options were limited. Steve is aligned with the people most on the board wants out.
Maybe the HOH’s are a rigged to some degree, but giving who won, I’m not surprised it went the way it did.
It definitely will be a rough week to watch with Austin in the HOH room with Liz. I may just have to read about what’s going on instead of watching it.

Break up the twins because they will always stick together with their vote. I dislike this season. They need to turn it up. I agree don’t tell them it is double eviction. Spring it on them so they don’t have time to think about it. They should let whoever won HOH play in the next HOH to mix things up. This season has the ugliest people in it. Except for Shellie. Clay and Johnnie Mac. The twins are so dumb, Austin is gross to look at. If Meg puts anymore of that stupid lipstick on her and if Becky and Vanessa don’t stick a sock in it. This season blows. Becky and JM are definitely the Noms. Becky is safe. Depending on how Van handles it…like she doesn’t do an Audrey…..JM may be going home. They don’t want Van in the Jury house yet poisoning everyone;s mind. But she is definitely BD potential.
Everyone compared notes and Van is has been found out! Her team is now against her! But they are trying to hide it from her. I’m not really happy about JM , I like him. but he really hasn’t played the game smart. He made no alliances. You can’t make in this game alone! He can al;ways win POV and then Van goes up. If not, he’s gone.

Wow really wow! Not sure how Steve came abt the decision he made, but looks like he was trying to keep blood off his hands as much as possible. Really figured he a jm would backdoor Becky. That was the biggest surprise for me. But yep also looked like JM was trying to keep blood loss down too. I liked the twist ups last night. Didn’t see any of it coming other than Shelli being evicted. This is starting to turn into contestants BB and not popular people BB. I like when they do different than what the viewers want them to. It doesn’t seem so fixed to me. I like the Steve and JM partnership too. Wonder if they know they are partners lol. If the original 6th sense remainders were smart they would align with Steve and JM and be The New and Improved 6th sense.

I personally think Steve was trying to cover all of his bases last night. He didn’t want to
run the risk of alienating Van, while at the same time he was trying to play up to the Gremlins (but needed to weaken them to please Van). I don’t think he planned on winning HOH and was caught a little off guard. But quickly put into action one of his scenarios he’d gone over in his head…should he accidentally win. He DID want a letter from his mother, but didn’t know if he was willing to put himself in danger to get it.
I think Jackie was his target all along, and he wanted JM to be afraid of his replacement, if
he considered using the veto. He knew Meg would be safe. Sooner or later, though, he is
going to have to climb down off the fence he’s been straddling and stand on one side or
the other. One moment I think part of his nerdy actions are just an act, then I think he
really does have some problems. I think his greatest problem is his deep seated desire to
please everyone. It can’t be done. Sleeping on the floor is a worry, too. That just isn’t natural.
If the Gremlins had really been using their heads, they would have voted out Vanessa. She
is the head of the snake and may be very difficult to get out now. They have made Becky
a huge target now and will lose another member of their group, because they went against
her. They are planning on Austwins working with them. Right! That will happen only if
they need it to get one more week in the house. I am going to be sick, if they are the last
three at the end. If they had saved Shelli, they would all be in a better position this week.
Shelli could be manipulated, Vanessa can’t. She’s the queen manipulator.
These people don’t understand the key is to see the whole picture and consider what is
best for the group they want to be a part of at the end. They value their own game above
the group. That’s fine closer to the end, but not this early. Losing Jackie should have proven
that to them. But some people never learn or simply don’t know how to play the game.
No one conversing with Steve after his win tells me they don’t know what to do with him
or understand him any better than we do just watching from the sidelines.
If JM goes this week, I will really be PO’d.

Steve crazy??…yeah, like a fox!! Here is my take on Steve and I could be wrong but we shall see. He seems to have a difficult time comprehending when talking with other hg’s… pretends to be confused and they have to repeat whatever they are saying until he gets it. I saw the frustration on shelli’s face when he wasn’t following her. He plays dumb. Next, I wish I’d have kept a list of things of which he claims to have never *seen* or *heard.* I’ll cut him some slack for the inability in determining the difference between a zucchini and a cucumber, but other stuff he claimed to not know had me asking myself what rock he’s been living under!?! I mean, come on, who hasn’t heard of Howard Stern? He may have had little exposure to some things in life, but he is not as sheltered as he claims to be. He has created a certain persona…it’s all part of his shtick meant to fool the HG’s. He was smart enough to align himself with Van, one of the smartest in the house. And now all of a sudden he’s winning comps? Wisdom teeth growing in??…what are the odds of that!?!…copied from Victoria. For me it all adds up. He may be a genius, but in my experience, highly intelligent people don’t have a lick of common sense and he fits that category as well. I concede the possibly of there being something a little “off” about him, but remember, there’s a fine line between madness and genius. If things keep up this way I see Steve and Vanessa in the final two and Austin makes 3. Grrr!!!

She’s ego maniacal and BB fulfills that need in her, I guess. When she wins, and I do believe she is going to pull it off, I hope that for once, the HG won’t be blinded and dazzled by her BS brilliance to the point where she is rewarded for the win. I know, I sound bitter and I don’t care. I don’t like her style of game play. I prefer Janelle’s style, a beast at comps and for the most part honest.

You don’t think it was a mistake to get rid of Shelli?? Wow. I think it’s the biggest mistake yet. Thinking you’re just going to be able to evict her during the double eviction is a terrible mistake. Vanessa didn’t waste any time proving that so. As soon as Steve won HOH, who was the first in Steve’s ear? Vanessa telling Steve something about Jackie and she has to go. She leaves, then Liz wins HOH and who is right there to “persuade” who the 2 noms will be? Vanessa. Becky and Jmac(mainly Becky) accurately laid out every reason why Vanessa should be gone to most of the HGs and they still have no clue what there doing.
I also don’t get why people are surprised why Steve didn’t put up Van. They have had a side alliance from almost the beginning. Plus, Steve may know the history of the game, but he sure never studied how to play it correctly. If he thinks aligning himself with Van is going to get him to the final 2, that only proves what I just said. If you’re still left in the house, and you don’t wanna take Meg to the finals with you, you’re truly lost.

Exhaustion put me out of the game for awhile, but have just finished reading the posts
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I’d missed during my time in La-La Land. I so enjoy reading what everyone thinks. I
especially enjoyed Junksies’ and My2Cents last posts. Agree so much with what was said.
Austin believes himself to be intellectually at a higher level than the other players, but he
is living in La-La Land to believe that. If comps were’t enough proof of this, then his game play is a memorial to this. Losing chance after chance to get rid of Vanessa is going to be
his downfall.
The summer camp anaolgy of the twins is as close to an accurate picture of them as you
can get. But the things that will be remembered about them, long after this season has
passed, are the irritating tone of their voices, the constant loudness and talking over people with their voices, and the shrill screaming. I’ve noticed that if one starts to scream or show
some kind of vocal response to anything….the other one joins in. They repeat themselves,
and what they’ve just heard someone say is often repeated back immediately to the one who has just finished saying it. It’s like they have to say it again for it to register. How any-
thing registers in heads filled with so much noise is a miracle of science.
Becky had things going in the right direction, and her team totally betrayed her in the worst way. They hopped on the stupidity train and left her standing at the station waiting for a train to take her to safety…a train that will never arrive. She will now pay for their disloyalty and stupidity, as will they most likely before the end arrives.
Meg is just loudly going from day to day in her world of make-believe that keeps her giggling from dawn to setting sun (when she’s not asleep).
Steve tries to play the game. He succeeds at intervals, then takes nosedives into pools of water with no conscious thought or knowledge as to the depth of the water or existent currents. I believe he has a good heart and is truly concerned about each of his fellow HGs,
but he’s too naive for the ugliness that can be a big part of this game.
JM is the one I’m truly concerned about. He is mentally down. I think he’s asking himself
why on earth he wanted to be a part of this experiment that can play so harshly with one’s
mind and core values. He’s probably the most honest player of all the HGs and may be one
of the most intelligent. His downfall is his inexperience with “dirty pool” game play. He’s
baffled that when people are given example after example of the truth about another player,
they simply don’t or can’t believe it. This leads to them continuing to make the same mistakes over and over again and still trying to blame anyone but themselves. (Sound familiar….like our politicians, maybe?) He will probably lose this game and go before
he should, but if he runs for office….I’d vote for him.
I probably won’t get to hear the conversation between JM and Steve that is to take place,
but would really like to. To those who have access to it, please blog about it. Thanks.
As I watched last night’s BBAD, I once again knew with certainty I would not last as a HG
in the BB house for more than a week, at best. The noise would drive me insane, the lights
on at all hours would keep me exhausted, and the constant mess of the house would give
me nightmares (during those few times of actual sleep) of living in a pig sty. The lack of
correct grammar and poor table manners would have me frantically searching for earplugs
and blindfold. So for all my complaining, they are doing something I could never do. For
that I tip my hat. Anyone who plays this game in person and comes out with their sanity
intact deserves some respect.

I don’t know if Steve is a freakin genius or just a freak but I do know this…he is bad TV. Whether you like Van, Becki or JM, or not, they keep us amused & talking. Imagine a show with just Meg, Julia & Liz? It’s nothing personal but snooze fest!! I happen to have Van & JM as 1& 2 in a pool so they keep me involved, if nothing else!
As for production involvement in that HOH comp, did anyone else notice when all goblins came down on the same Q, you could hear Becki on sideline say, “I told you they were listening to us study”! I think Trippster3 brought that Q up on post23. Curious!

Austin reminds me of that painted lady of old and that look is as gross today as it was then. Add Austin’s greasy locks and gross facial hair and the complete Attila the Bum image is complete.
Austin’s only game is being an ugly and very persistant parasite permanently attached to the twiddle dee half twiddle dumb.

Actually sherry I am a writer of sorts, having written countless legal briefs, drafted way too many patent and trademark applications, and prepared both the potentially valid and more than a few totally absurd arguments before the US Patent and Trademark office, the CCPA and the federal courts at all levels, but preferably the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York whenever possible. Retired now after over 35 years.
But law school is the ONLY thing I have in common with Vanessa. And she went to Duke, I went to Georgetown.
Did I mention, I really have a hard time matching Vanessa’s superb curriculum vitae with the bug eyed monster from the deep now living and preying on the Big Brother House.

This has been the weirdest day. Jeff came on about 11:00 BBT , so 2:00 here. It’s now 5:00 and right before all the HGS were sleeping and Julia and Liz were in HOH moaning…What is TAKING so long??? This is so WEEEEIIIRRDDDDDDDUH!!! lol No clue what is going on today. Production must be a mess and way behind. Maybe they are building a set or something. This has been the strangest year of BB, I swear!
If the POV picks are this late, when are they going to play for Veto?? Seems as tho it gets later every week!!

pictures for others with your words is a talent that translates so well into writing fiction.
But I understand what you were saying about Van’s educational credentials. On her bio
on BBAD the other night it sounded like she was admitting to no longer practicing the law(if she ever did) or playing poker so much. She’s into digital music writing and DJ work. She did say on the show how she was anxious to get home and write a song about something she was feeling at the time. This was not in the house around HGs, so I thought
it must be fairly accurate, but who known for certain? Vetting isn’t great on BB.
Anyway, I enjoy your analogies and mental picture painting that comes across in your
writing.
