Big Brother 18: Here Are The Results of the Battle Back!

Hi, everyone!

While we’re waiting for the live feeds to come back on, I thought I might as well go ahead and officially announce who has reentered the game. Now, obviously, if you haven’t yet watched the Battle Back, this is going to be a big spoiler. So, don’t read on unless you really want to know.

Okay, the winner of the Battle Back is…

VICTOR!

Was there ever really any doubt? I mean, let’s be honest here — none of the first five people to be voted out of the house was a particularly strong player. Glenn was out-of-shape. Jozea was an idiot. Bronte was an an idiot. Tiffany was an idiot. Victor … well, he may not have been the smartest person in the house but he was, at the very least, smarter than the other five evictees. I don’t think there was ever much doubt that Victor would return.

I will say this: tonight, Victor was probably as likable as he’s ever been on the show. You could tell that he really wanted to get back in the house. You could tell that he was taking the competition seriously. And, plus, he looked good. Now that Paulie has allowed his beautiful hair to be destroyed and Corey has repeatedly revealed himself to be somewhat creepy, Victor is officially the hottest guy in the house.

(That’s my opinion, of course!)

As for the other four evictees … I felt bad for Glenn, though I think he would have been lost if he had gotten back in the house. I was so happy when Jozea was defeated because if I seriously had to hear him call himself the “BB messiah,” I would have ended up throwing something at the TV. Tiffany was Tiffany — overemotional and never as clever as she believed herself to be.

And then there was Bronte.

“I can use my math to win this!” Bronte told us, “This is a numbers game!” We get it, Bronte. You’re pretending to be a mathematician. Victor still defeated you and thankfully, we won’t have to deal with Wifey Spy anymore.

Anyway, Victor says that he wants to get back together with Paul and take down Paulie. Little does he realize that Paul and Paulie are BFFs now. As several people noticed, Frank was one of the first people to run up to Victor and give him a hug when he reentered the house.

At this point, Frank needs all the allies he can get.

Then again, so does Victor. Unless Victor has been given immunity for the upcoming week or manages to win HoH, he’s going to be obvious target.

One final note: Julie said that there’s a secret room in the house! Whoever discovers it will win wonderful prizes. We’ll see what happens with that.

And we’ll see what happens when, in less than an hour, the live feeds come back!

As far as comps go, Victor surprised me as I was under the mistaken impression he would only do well in physical challenges. He played those competitions to win and deserves to get back in the house. Tiffany told him to trust Frank and not to trust Da, so I really feel like Frank and Victor will team up eventually if they haven’t already. Let’s hope Da’s days are numbered.

Production must tell the houseguests to sound confident and even over confident in the Diary Room when talking about the comps. They all say – I’ve got to win. I’m gonna win. Then they don’t. I’d like to hear someone say – I hope I win. I wonder if I’ll win. I’ll try hard!

My air conditioning has been running 24/7. $$$$ It’s worth every penny though. Bobo, if it were 94 here, the polar vortex would have to completely cover the state.

two July 23, 2016 at 2:41 pm: I wish, Bobo. I’m in AR where the temperatures are 98 but feel like 106 because of the humidity. Summers here can be brutal. It’s like living in a hot plastic bag.

The houseguests always say it’s cold in the house and wear sweatshirts and cover up with blankets during the day. What I wouldn’t give to have that in my house. Or at least to live on the Jersey shore. : )

Solar is awesome. I’ll bet it really helps out in the winter.

The houseguests are boring because they’re bored. They don’t have anything to do besides chess. At least Rachel made playing cards out of tea bags and nail polish.

just glad Jozea didn’t make it back in. the game of big tennis rackets seemed to be more luck than talent…
thought it was sweet that Victor helped Tiff with her harness…to get it off afterwards. i hope he stays nicer to the girls than he was the first time he was in.
don’t hit me but i don’t dislike Paulie’s hair. as i said earlier i have a grown neice who’s a mom and married to my bil’s son (the one who’s ill) who buzzes her hair shorter on sides and sometimes her whole head. i used to leave mine about one inch long/short but she goes down to a weeks growth….i wondered if she had horrible hair…then one day i saw a photo of her with long hair and it was thick, straight and beautiful…..so i told her if i had her hair i’d not cut it….mine is ‘yuck’ so…i hate it. In two months Paulie’s hair will look better.
i’m sure they get so bored in the house.

now i have to try to find something to watch online…..yawn. it’s so hot in here, it’s hard to even sleep. and almost impossible to cook.

will check back later to see if anyone has news about live feeds…info i mean…i don’t get it. 🙂

@two, I heard Tiff tell Victor that too about trusting Frank and not Da. It will be interesting to see how he plays it. Good for James winning HOH. Did he really put up Frank and Bridgette?

Lisa, I still don’t get comments but I always get the one right after mine. Only that one and only on my first comment. Really weird.

I don’t understand Bridgette as most times she acts like a 10 year old with her giggling and skipping thru the house. Next she drops F bombs all the time and is worse than most men. I don’t know if she does this to be accepted by the males or what her motive is but I think she should clean up her potty mouth as it just makes her look more immature.

I think she is semi in love with Frank and trying to be his buddy. She follows him around everywhere, looking at him with cow eyes, it’s sickening.

Obviously Natalie doesn’t remember when Bronte and Bridgett were the ‘mean girls’ in the house saying horrible things about the other girls. That’s why the other girls don’t like her.

I agree. I think it looks like James HOH and put Frank and Bridgett
up. Bridgett is furious over the way the other girls have treated her,
but I don’t know what has happened or what they did to her. Paulie
is all over the place and is talking a foursome with Frank and Bridg
with Corey and maybe James as an outside choice??? It is so con-
fusing when you aren’t getting all of the story. I hate they don’t show the HOH room any more on BBAD. That was a part I really enjoyed.
For sure it looks like a male will be the final one. Females just can’t
get along for a long period of time under the conditions of the house. They really don’t deserve it this season anyway. They are
NOT playing a good game. They are allowing the boys to sway
their game and call the shots. The guys certainly have no loyalty
to them. They are only stringing them along.
Paul was talking about how someone or (plural) act one way and
then talk trash as soon as they leave, and he’s tired of it. Who was
he referring to?

I am all caught up on the shows. Havent been watching BBAD. I have been busy working and glued to the tv news feeds about the political conventions, and I dont even have a stake in the race for the White House lol 🙂

So so so happy for James and his showmance. I have always liked him, he just comes across as totally real. I hope it works out well for him, she seems very cute.

I will be able to take my tablet into work with me over the weekend, will be looking forward to the postings and updates. Thanks every one and LM! 🙂

Sherry….Corey and Paulie are just telling Frank what he wants to hear. They have no intention of keeping him if he is still up on the block. They are trying to keep him calm.

As far as Bridgett and the girls. Nothing has happened. She is just trying to make people feel sorry for her. Remember when she was a 24 caret bitch with Josze and Victor thought they were in charge! She and Bronte were the mean girls. She is complaining because they didn’t bake her a birthday cake. I remember Nicole telling her that she was going to make her a cake and she said no she didn’t like to celebrate her birthday even at home. But Frank is trying to make a big deal about it.

Thanks Margie. I am always glad when you give me the scoop
that clears things up. Am Soooooo….glad they are stringing
Frank along. They ridiculed the girls so badly last night on BBAD
for the way they think Bridgett is being treated. I hate for them
to get a bad rap for something that isn’t true. I want Bridgett
gone, but want Frank first which will leave Bridgett out in the
cold.
I have to wonder where Nat has been for most of her life to
be so naive about girls. She is taking up for Bridgett. She claimed
she isn’t a catty person but the house is really catty. She has
stayed so much under the radar, hanging on to James for security, that no one knows for sure what she is. She is the
queen of floaters this season. She may be right about the girls
but I don’t think you can lump them all together.
Finally got to see Paulie’s hair. It looks terrible. That’s the trouble with fads…they don’t suit everyone, but I don’t think
this particular do would suit anyone.

Sounds like it was a long endurance comp that went over 5 hrs and lots of LF’ers were kinda pissed that it was blacked out. James made a semi-strong move, targeting Frank/Bridget, trying to break up a couple, but it was a pretty easy option if you think about it. You know with Frank’s back against the wall, he’ll perform and most likely win Veto. Looks like no revolving door for Victor this week. That said, if Frank wins POV and saves himself, I would backdoor Victor in a second. I’m sure James doesn’t want him anywhere near Natalie!

As far as this secret room goes, forgive my cynicism, but they were very vague about what was in there. I hate vague, that gives production the opportunity to tweak the game depending on who finds the room. For example, say Frank or a returning HG finds the room, maybe its some Coup d”etat power or maybe something even bigger we haven’t seen before, a total game changer and their saving grace. Or say if it’s a lesser player like Natalie or Michelle, and they somehow stumble across the secret room, will they win the chance to watch some CBS show with pizza and popcorn or something equally non-game threatening prize? Think about it. Unless Julie reveals what it is over the coming weeks, my gut tells me it will play out something like that. Prize will be different depending on who finds the room.

Marc, I think Paulie”s horrible hair style choice was made from total boardom. He and Paul were acting pretty “tight” at the time he did it, so yeah, I’m sure they get board out of their minds. As fans, we know how boaring it can be for us at times, I can’t imagine how boared they must be during. long down times.

I don’t think it was fair of Tiffany to whisper to Victor to trust Frank and not DaVonne. Production should have told them that they couldn’t talk about game play at all. Just my opinion.

I think it’s hilarious how many people are talking about Paulie’s haircut. To me, it’s just hair, he’s young and goofing around, and it will grow back so fast, unless he keeps shaving it. I don’t think it looks that bad. Just bored and having fun.

To me, and I may be reading a bit into it, but it might be kind of a dumb game move in a small way. It’s a constant visual reminder of how close him and Paul are getting/have gotten. Not only do they hang out but now they look the same. He’s obviously a strong player, so to me, it just increases the target a bit more on his back.

I remember my buddies mom said this line to me as a little kid, like 10 years old, when I got butchered by the hair cut lady and I was upset. “You know what the difference between a good haircut and and a bad haircut is? Two weeks.” 😀

secret room, but looked for mention of it last night. I never heard
it come up. Why aren’t they looking for it?

Sherry the hidden room is supposed to contain some very special secret power! They didn’t say how clues will be left for the HG. Or at least I didn’t hear Julie say. It will be interesting to see. I have a feeling Day or Frank will be the one finding the room.

room. That is where Pandora’s Box room was and where they
put the second HOH room of last season.
But that might be too easy. The vets should find it easier than the
newbies, as they are more familiar with the dimensions of the
house in a previous season and should be able to detect a change
in this area.

Bobo, I responded to your previous post on up there in the string. I still can’t figure out how when I post at 2 pm, the next post is 10 am. How does anyone at know to roll back the posts to check for responses? Sorry, I’m easily confused. Duh.

I don’t think any of the houseguests even know there’s a secret room as they don’t spend much time expecting the unexpected. I really hope production doesn’t think a previous houseguest is a big value. I’d love to see next year all houseguests being over 35 and no returnees.

The Secret Room is the one they’ve used from Pandora’s Box and coaches quarters. (I just call it Jesse’s Room) LOL

All the clues are on the travel signs… and on the model airplane. They are departure times corresponding to a flight number.

That flight number is 211
And it says to call on the plane
So I’d think they would have to go to the upstairs phone booth
dial 211… and then gain access to the secret room.

As far as it being Pandora’s Box… it pretty much had to be. They have been in that house so many seasons now, and since season 6 when they found the secret gold room (which is now just the side bedroom) …the only other room HGs can get access to is PB.

I agree, the vets would seem to have an advantage. Or anyone who has watched BB alot, but let’s face it, BB likes to get people who never even heard of the show. SMH

Each of the 4 signs has one word in green, put them together and you get…
“Secret Destination Departing Now”

On the flight schedule sign it says
“Paris —– Now Departing Now Departing”
Paris flight number is 211

On the model plane it says “Call Paris” (one word on each side)

Now the question is how do they get them looking. They need to drop a hint somewhere. Maybe the HOH will get/win a clue each week.

I think this group will need some BIG hints to get the clues. There
had to be a method to their madness of recruiting so many naive
and clueless players. I just happen to disagree with their thinking.
We who have watched since BB’s inception like to see the game
played by clever players who really understand the game. J.T.

Like a lot of people here, I have watched since season 1 day 1. I have watched feeds / BBAD since season 9. I have been on this blog since season 11 (although gone the last 2 years). I do know the game.. but sometimes that can be a bad thing too (cough cough… RONNY!!)

Nope… better to watch from my couch. Much more peaceful that way!!

I do understand. My patience wears thin so often at the immaturity
of so many of the HGs. I’m not sure I’d last past that first night.
Besides it’s so much more fun to be a backseat driver!!

Just not as much BB time these days.
Last season, I didn’t watch BBAD at all…. and only watched feeds about 5-10 mins all season.
Was all I could do just to keep up with CBS shows.
I actually watched the finale 2 weeks after it aired (but yes.. I did know who won) 🙂

Just jumped on to see if any POV info… but looks like they haven’t even started yet. It is today right? As far as I know anyway.
Maybe a late night one? Seems a bit early for the morphed faces one… but who knows.

Oh well… gonna jump back offline for a few hours and check back later.

Not a big Frank fan this year.. but don’t hate him like a lot do either. I did like him ok his first season. Didn’t like that he was teamed with Boogie… but respected how he had to fight so hard to stay in.
I’d sorta like to see him stay in this week to keep it interesting. But he really doesn’t learn. He still thinks he can get up to 6 votes to save himself or Bridgette. How quickly he forgot about the last 2 weeks I guess.

Can’t believe he doesn’t know by now that everyone is just covering their bases…. just in case.

Well after listening to a loooong conversation between Paulie, Corey, Victor and Paul I don’t want any of them to win! All of them except Corey (he wasn’t anywhere near as bad) are really sure they are going to be insanely popular and sought after when this game is over. You would think Paulie at least would know better. I am by far no prude but Paulie couldn’t say a sentence without 5 or 6 f..king in there. The whole conversation was bragging and posturing and. Immature.

Even Nat talks about how she wants to get a hosting job after this.. but earlier in the year she wanted to try out for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

And of course we all remember Jozea’s delusions of hosting the Grammy’s.

Nope.. I’d never last a week in that house. I’d go to play the game and that’s it. Maybe I’d feel different if I was in my 20s?

Some people on twitter are speculating that the veto started so late because of the fires near Los Angeles. But it certainly it is starting late so I assume that #BBAD will either be fish or maybe a greatest hits package or something. 🙂

But the HGs were just guessing of course.. and we’ve all seen how far off they usually are.

I’d think they would at least have some footage from the day to show.

Or… I think I even remember one time they showed the people in the house not competing for POV. Then one by one the other HGs came in as they were eliminated… that might have been during BB12??
Anyone remember something like that?
