Big Brother 18: It’s Time For Flipgate!

Hi y’all!

So, just when you think that things can’t get any more silly this week, you learn that Tiffany apparently complained to the Diary Room that Da’Vonne physically assaulted her.

And how did Da’Vonne assault Tiffany?

At the today’s ceremony, Corey took himself off the block.  It was then revealed that the roadkill winner (Tiffany) had named Da’Vonne as the replacement nominee.  Even though the identity of the roadkill winner is officially a secret, Tiffany has already told everyone in the house that she won this week.  Da’Vonne knew exactly who had nominated her.

Da’Vonne was told to take a seat next to her fellow nominees, Tiffany and Natalie.  Apparently, as Da’Vonne sat down, she flipped her hair and smacked Tiffany in the face.  Tiffany responded by attempting to flip her hair at Da’Vonne.

“Your hair is not long enough, bitch,” Da’Vonne replied, before then looking over at Natalie and saying, “Aren’t the two of us beautiful up here?,” with the implication being that the notoriously insecure Tiffany was not beautiful.

Tiffany responded by going to the Diary Room and reporting Da’Vonne for physical assault.  Under the rules of Big Brother, any player who physically assaults another player can be immediately expelled from the house.  Obviously, they’re not going to expel Da’Vonne for flipping her hair.  However, Tiffany wants production to give Da’Vonne a penalty vote.

Now, a penalty vote would actually work out really well for Tiffany.  Right now, it looks like there is a good chance that the vote might 4-4.  Frank and Bridgette will definitely vote for Tiffany to stay.  Michelle, James, Zakiyah, and probably Paul seem to be planning on voting for Tiffany to go.  That leaves Corey and Nicole as the deciding votes.  If Tiffany can convince Corey and Nicole to vote to evict Da’Vonne, that would lead to a 4-4 tie.  Paulie would break the tie and he wants Tiffany gone.  However, if Da’Vonne also had a penalty vote, then the final vote would be 5-4.  And Tiffany would be safe.

Personally, I doubt Da’Vonne is going to get a penalty vote.  For the record, Da’Vonne had said repeatedly that she accidentally hit Tiffany with her hair.  When she was talking about the incident with Zakiyah, she said that only Nicole would understand what happened with the hair flip, because Nicole is the only other person in the house with hair as long as Da’Vonne’s.

(Personally, speaking as someone who has long hair, I’ve accidentally hit a few people while doing a dramatic hair flip myself.  Shit happens, y’know?)

Anyway, as of right now, here are your nominees: Da’Vonne, Natalie, and Tiffany.  Frank is trying to work the house to save Tiffany.  He’s even told Tiffany that he thinks he can convince 7 people to vote out Da’Vonne, which doesn’t sound realistic when you consider how everyone else feels about both Frank and Tiffany.  Of course, you never know with Da’Vonne.  She has a temper and she’s not good at laying low.  It’s totally possible that the house could decide that she’s a bigger threat than Tiffany.

But, as of right now, it looks like Tiffany’s going to walking out the front door on Thursday.

In other news — Zakiyah and Nicole spent the first part of the morning talking about how much they love their men.  Online speculation has it that Nicole and Corey may have moved their relationship up a level last night.  (That said, Nicole still says she has yet to allow Corey to kiss her.)  However, even while Nicole was calling Corey her “dream man,” Corey was telling Bridgette that he and Nicole were “just friends” and that he’s not even interested in dating anyone.

(Nicole reminds me of that friend that we all have, the one who is totally cute and sweet but who consistently disappoints us by dating losers.)

And, apparently, James is really worried that the only reason Natalie is flirting with him is to help her game.  They’ve been pretty snappy with each other today and, at one point, James even told Paulie that he was worried that his relationship with Natalie was “over!”

In other words, it’s been a dramatic day in the Big Brother House!
