Big Brother 18: Just A Quick Update

Hi y’all!

This is going to be a quick update because there’s not much new to report. Sunday is always kind of an odd day in the Big Brother House. Being stuck right in between the veto competition on Saturday and the veto ceremony on Monday, Sunday always seems like something of a limbo day. The houseguests know that the nominations are going to change but they don’t know for sure how they’re going to change.

As of right now, this is what I think is going to happen on Monday:

Paul is going to use the veto on himself.

Michelle (sorry, I just can’t bring myself to call her “Big Meech”) will nominate Nicole in his place.

Meech believes that James and Natalie will both vote to evict Nicole but what she doesn’t know is that both James and Natalie have been lying to her. James and Corey (or Nicole, if Corey is nominated) are both planning to evict Victor and, with only three houseguests eligible to vote this week, that’s all it will take to send him out of the house. James and Natalie have also talked about allowing either Nicole or Corey to win the next HoH because they think that Nicorey will target Paul and Michelle for eviction.

But, as soon as Victor is evicted, he’ll be competing for a chance to reenter the house and it seems like, out of all the jurors, he’ll have the best chance to get back in. Victor is strong at challenges and I think his only real competition on the jury would come from Paulie.

Technically, the houseguests aren’t supposed to know that a juror will be returning so it’s kind of interesting that they’ve all been talking about it. Earlier today, Victor mentioned that if there was a competition for a juror to return to the house, he was probably the only one who could beat Paulie. And then, just about an hour ago, Natalie was telling everyone that she would freak out if Paulie was the juror who returned to the house.

So — the houseguests are either really clever or maybe someone in the diary room has been dropping hints. Either way, nobody’s going to be all that surprised when a juror reenters the house!

As for tonight’s episode — it was okay. It’s a little bit hard for me to get excited about the weekly episodes of Big Brother because, for the most part, they’re just telling me stuff that I already know. When you already know both who has been nominated and who won the veto, it’s hard to get that caught up in Sunday’s show.

But I did find the following interesting:

Number one, during the recap, the announcer said that the “Final seven” celebrated at the carnival. Of course, we all know that’s not true. The carnival took place before Paulie was evicted and Paulie apparently even won a few prizes.

Number two, they edited out Michelle’s comments, during her nomination speech, about Paul being an atheist. To me, that seemed like a pretty big thing to edit out.

Number three, the footage of Nicole making a mess was pretty much the definition of filler but I still had to smile while watching it, just because I’ve done the same thing more times that I want to admit.

Finally, it seems that production has finally realized that Paul not only has fans but might actually win this game because, this episode, he was given a far more positive edit than he’s gotten in the past.

Anyway, that’s it for now! We have the veto ceremony to look forward to on Monday. Will Michelle figure out that she’s being lied to or will she continue to be one of the more easily manipulated houseguests in Big Brother history?

Time filler on Nicole for sure… but was funny and confirmed what she always admits… she is very clumsy

Paul will be so pumped when he gets out and sees how much attention he got. They were speculating hometown visits the other day.. of course Paul had no idea he was one they did a special on.

I can’t call her “Big Meech” either… but “Meech”, yes. It’s just easier to type 🙂

I noticed they said final 7 too. Also wondered if Paulie had won the HOH advantage what they would have done?

They probably sat them at certain areas to eat their pies…. remember like at kid’s birthday parties? That kid that didn’t win anything at the various activities? …he magically gets the spot with a prize under his paper plate.
On BB they made sure Paulie didn’t get that spot.

Meech said Atheist… but it was just her ignorance. Paul later explained he’s Agnostic… and what that meant. So Meech was just confused and meant no harm… I can see why they didn’t show that…. it would have been making something of nothing really IMO.

two August 22, 2016 at 2:14 pm: I rewatched the carnival episode looking for any hint of Paulie. Nada. If Nicole has any thought of making her career as an actress, she should forget it. Like you said the lead in she made was awkwardly delivered.

I did notice the pies had numbers 1-7 on picks in each one. I’m sure others noticed it, but I missed it and a lot of the other hints.

Since that was a Monday, production had to treat them all the same. They couldn’t make Paulie sit out. That would have been like telling him “They are all voting you out Thursday.. and you don’t have the RT ticket either!!”

Good game talk going on now in HOH room. Nat, James and Meech discussing things with Nat trying to drop hint to Meech that Vic & Paul together are big threats.
But Meech has her obligatory bag of chips of course and is more concerned with gnawing off enough chip so she can fit it inside the jar of dip.
Hopefully she’ll put down the bag and listen to what is about to happen.

I have to say I had no idea the diet of a nutritionist included so much junk food 24/7

Michelle annoys me so much when she’s eating. She always has to eat something in a bag that rattles like hell. Plus she won’t close her mouth when she chews. She inhaled a bunch of junk food last night. She couldn’t get it out of the bags fast enough. You’d have thought she was starving to death.

Lisa…… Couldn’t agree more about the Wed and Sun shows. It’s such old news to us. Plus with all of our digging, we usually know a lot MORE than they are telling us. But it is kind of fun to actually see comps we missed because they blacked them out on LFS!😏

I too noticed that they left out most of Meech’s nomination speech. Why??? That would have been the crowning glory of the show!! I am
So tired of how PC this country, specifically network TV, has gotten.

I’m sorry to see Vic go this week. I dont see any way for him to stay unless he does some fancy footwork before Thurs. But actually , if he has to get evicted, this might be the week to do it. At least he has a shot of coming back. I think he has played a good game and wouldn’t mind seeing him in F2. Who I DON’T want to see there are Nic or Corey. I don’t care if they did have some kind of lay low Dan Gheesling kind of strategy at work, they aren’t Dan and it has come off boring, annoying and total floaters.

Hopefully today’s Veto Ceremony has some surprises. But I won’t hold my breath. 😉😎

Star… A couple of weeks in Corey in some ways reminded me of Dan and that is why I feel that Corey will win. Just a gut feeling. Not that I want him to win. I agree about the PC culture that has invaded society…makes me sooo angry at times. I will be sorry for Vic to go. He is the only one I would not mind winning. Hope all is well with Mike’s dad.

Jolee… Nicole the klutz had me laughing…it was like a screen in a comedy. Good for you winning the contest but the prize was sure cheap compared to today’s payoff. 💲💲💲

Paul is only 23? He strikes me as an old soul.

Junksies……….Mike’s dad is doing ok for now. He actually is breathing easier. I’m more worried about the long term, but trying to stay positive in the here and now. Thanks for the well wishes. 😉

Corey could be laying really low and I did like the way he took control over Paulie when he was freaking out. But he and Nic are still the 2 I think tried the least and were the most unsociable, probably due to their showmance. But I think there are others that deserve it more. But there have been many years where I haven’t liked the winner and I’m still here..lol

I feel like I heard Paul say he was 26, but I’m not positive. And I’m too lazy to look it up….lol

Oh, Nicole, trying to set nail polish, nail polish remover, and a drink on an ottoman that wasn’t even a flat surface!! Not very smart!! I won a contest from Good Housekeeping years ago. It was actually for keeping the oil from French fries and chicken from leaking on your counter. I also use this idea when I do my nails. I take a piece of aluminum foil and paper towels. I place the paper towels (I use two) on top of the foil. Then I told the foil over the edge of the paper towels. When you put the fried chicken on the paper towel, the foil keeps the oil (or nail polish remover) from leaking through and ruining your furniture. I won a year’s subscription to Good Housekeeping Magazine, and a year’s supply of Sweetheart Soap!! 😊😊😊😊😊

Star August 22, 2016 at 4:17 am: Jolee……I use that when I cook bacon. After it’s done I put it on a rack in the toaster oven to keep it warm and I cover the rack with foil and paper towels!!! It keeps grease in and everything under it clean!!! 😉 We is so smart….lol

Sounds like it makes a kind of tray for the nail polish. But it’s better just to do it at a table. Flat, wipeable surface!!

When I was a teenager, I was putting some on in the living room. RED no less!! It spilled , of course, all over the carpet!! I thought my Mom was going to KILL me !!!! She got it up with polish remover, amazingly, but I was banned from ever doing my nails in the LR again. Lesson learned…lol

A bit of good game talk before Vic walked into HOH.

Meech did admit the best move might be voting Vic out. And she also admitted she plays emotionally instead of strategically.

James didn’t tell her that he was going to vote out Vic… but did say his opinion was they would be crazy not to at this late in the game. And James said twitter would blow up saying how dumb they were to vote out someone who hasn’t won any comps (Nic)

IDK if this was intentional by James or not… but Meech is big into what social media thinks of her. She talks about it constantly. And she always wonders “I wonder what Derrick & Cody are thinking” “Did the DR ask about me?” She always wonders what coverage she is getting and who thinks what. So saying Twitter would explode is actually a good move… even if unintentional.

Tendr Vic… I’m a wus…no scary movies for me. The Exorcist and Omen trilogy are the last ones I’ve watched. Oh, I lied, the very last was Poltergeist. That did me in. For years I waited for a drawer to open on its own, for the TV screen to go snowey and suck me in. And going way way back, because of a twilight zone episode, to this day I can’t look at Kuala bear or sloth because it was walking on the wing of that airplane. Heebie jeebies!

It’s slow in here tonight so I’m the only one that will get mad for going OT…

girl, i grew up hating dolls except barbie because of watching twilight zone. when i was seventeen and my youngest sister about seven my mom got her a ballerina doll about a foot tall at least and it’d walk and twirl…so she called me to her room to show me and my parents have wood floors so this doll came towards me thump thump thump and i didn’t even know i was still scared of dolls and i just kicked it across the room. my mom got so mad at me.
i felt so bad but i told her i didn’t know i’d do that..
after i had kids the fear went away but i still don’t like scary dolls or those stupid jack in the boxes or clowns…i’ll punch a clown. but i do like good zombie movies…took me awhile and i like creature movies and love sci fi.

did not see much of the show last night since we were doing our fantasy football draft…but I was able to see bits and pieces…Michelle is clueless if she does not realize that the showmances are going to stick with each other for at least another week…which means…I HAVE A BIG PREDICTION…when Julie announces the vote results to water works will start and she is going to be devastated…”I had no idea…what happened…it wasn’t supposed to be this way”…OH WELL…she will get over it and will probably the easy out the following week…quick question…does anyone have any idea of what type of competition the jury members will do to get back in the house…yes if its going to be physical…then Victor or Paulie are the obvious …but if it takes and mental capacity then one of the ladies might be making a re-entry…heaven help us all iF Da or Z Stink back into this thing…Hope everyone has a great week…when if the final show for this season…

I hope Victor does not go to the jury house, but then again he will get another chance to come back, it probably will a endurance comp. remember last year they were hanging on a small piece of footing holding on a rope while getting slimmed with goo and water and bad whether. somebody got back in, but i forgot who. oh look on the Today show ” the Fonz ” is on lol.

OT oh forgot to tell yall it’s on my list my husband will let yall know if i pass away before BB ends, but i don’t think that will not happen. I really want to go to the Ocean on the East Coast when it cools off some. We are planning that out now with my care team to make that happen.

I would really like one of the girls to win for a change and re-
enter the house. If Vic or Paulie reenters they will go with
Paul and the three will go to the final three most likely.
That would make two evictees in the final three. I just don’t
think that’s fair for those who have managed to stay in the
game for weeks. If a girl comes back, she can pair up with
Meech. Everyone would have (for a very short time) a go to
person. The girls would be in the majority and might even
form an all girls union…..not likely. If Vic or Paulie come
back and win HOH, James and Nat go up automatically.
There is the $5 k CP, but I don’t think anyone but perhaps
Meech would be interested. It all depends on the rules
of this CP. What happens if no one takes the money?

Sherry…..I agree with you, I think they have had more than enough chances to stay or come back in the house. I really don’t think it’s fair. Speaking of who would come back….if it is one of those physical comps remember Z gave Vic a run for his money. She only dropped because Paulie encouraged her to because she was doing great. She might not want to leave Paulie’s loving arms though. lol

I’ve wondered the same about the $5k. All I know is it can only be used once and given to one person… can’t be divided up.
If no one takes it, does the CP winner get to keep it? Seems unlikely because that would discourage really trying to use it.

Also I’ve wondered if the person who takes it actually has to honor the deal. Could they say “yeah… sure I’ll vote out HG “A”…. but then turn around and vote out HG B.

Margie: I just don’t want Vic or Paulie to come back. But
Vic and Paulie will be fighting for their lives and will be
hard to beat, if it’s an endurance comp. It would be interesting
to see how far Z would go in an endurance comp if Paulie
is no longer in control of her. Da has to be trying to get
Z to see that Paulie isn’t for real and won’t ever feel about
her like she feels about him. But is Z capable of really
listening when it comes to Paulie???

Sherry….I REALLY don’t want V or P to come back. How in the world is it fair for Day, Z or Bridgette to come back after this long either. That would really tic me off if it was me in that house.

Just an aside note…..I could not sleep in that HOH room with that light on in the fish tank! I like total dark when I sleep. My sister gave me a charger that you can charge 3 things at once that has a light as bright as Las Vegas and I have to cover it at night at bedtime! lol

Addressing the talk about “big Meech”….such a dumb nickname. My sister is named Michelle. Guess what we called her for short…..Shelly….like everyone did for someone named Michelle. About 5 years ago, I started working at a place and this younger woman in her mid 20’s went by the same nickname as our BB cryer…(no not Paulie! 😉 ) Her name was Michelle, but she went by “Miche”….so when I see people calling the BB Michelle Meech…I’m like NOOO!! It’s spelled Miche! This must be a newer thing because I never heard of anyone shortening Michelle to Miche and as I said, my sister is a Michelle. OK, just random info for no reason but had to purge it.

On the topic of Victor being evicted for a second time and might actually win his way back. I’ve always thought that if you get voted out and return, you should be booted immedieatly the following week OR if you somehow last to the end, you can’t win because the jury wouldn’t vote for someone to win that was evicted. So what happens if Victor becomes the first person to get evicted and return TWICE in a season? That might be a different story.

In past seasons, fans voted on who returned or they played a single comp to come back. Victor won 3 comps to return, granted his competition wasn’t the best, he still had to win or else! I could see this being like the season they had the evicted HG’s join the regular HG’s on the wall, hanging on for HOH. If you lasted the longest from the evicted guests, you were back in the house, and if you ended up winning the entire comp, you took the HOH. It might not be that exact comp, but I think it might be something like that. Hard to say, just speculation.

So now, if Victor actually does return for a second time, he could say he was the most dangerous player in the game, you evicted me twice and I had to win to return….and I did it….and now I’m in the Final 2 because I dominated this game. It’s not a bad argument. I still feel weird about a player who got booted, winning the whole thing, but I suppose (if Victor does make all what I said happen) anything is possible.

Ok so Corey and Victor are nominated and cannot vote. Natalie and Meech cannot vote because of HOH. James votes to evict Victor, Paul votes to evict Corey and Nicole votes to evict Victor. Victor goes to jury. What I would love to see next is a mental battle back with Bridgette winning and returning to the house. Paul would go nuts! (and be evicted)

I’ve read some chat about how Michelle will be blindsided.
They’ve pretty much told her that James will vote out Vic. At least strongly suggested it.
And now that veto ceremony is done… and James is not on the block, they can tell her that is what he will do.
She wont be blindsided.
Neither will Vic. James plans to tell him Wednesday.

She is so precious and her last weeks, months…. need to be talking to us… her ‘friends’ she had just stooped talking to her when she told them about her health. She and I emailed last year but stopped when bb was over…I think sherry and I were also…so Lisa, Jo, JT, Star, anyone else in fb….help me bug her to get her to join. I told her she’ll not be lonely ONE day if she joins. I love this girl ‘send me your photo R.’ I’m needing to see who I’m talking to… you’ll see picks of me in fb. You’ll see my beaten face from when I fell… lol… last pic taken.

Yes join.
I joined reluctantly 6 or 7 years ago. Pushed by some of the people here and people who used to be here.
Many of the people I met here 7 years ago are now almost like RL family to me… and we chat daily through ups and downs.

Along with Tendr…. Aggie, Frannie, Mama Margie, Starfish, Star, Sal, Bob, Betty, Ted, AC, Kev11, & Princess are either FB friends… blog friends, or both… and all were met here. Plus 3 who passed away in the last couple years. Frank (aka FRANKS), Cynthia, & Mike (aka HILLBILLY).

Met a lot of good people from this blog and have continued cyber relationships with them for 7 years.

Just have to say I find it hilarious when Vic & Paul are talking about being “betrayed” …..”take the knife outta my back” …and are pissed because they think the whole house is laying to them.
They are also upset that people can’t “just stick to a plan”

I don’t like Paulie… no one did. But what Vic and Paul are saying this week is the EXACT same thing they were bashing Paulie for saying last week.

What happened to “it’s just a game” ?

I don’t really care one way or the other… just always amused by this stuff. And it always happens several times each season.

Michell’s eating is so nerve racking. Someone needs to get a fork like my dad – and get her hand! Don’t know who that would be, Vic maybe, but he will be gone and we will have to watch her drop chips and seaweed all over the bed. Then sleep in it! HA HA

We complain about Nicole and her whiny voice – imagine if Cory gets the boot how much whining we are going to have endure….

JT, I’m sure this was before you were born, but I got to see the Beatles in concert. I keep the memories of that in a special place in my head. Couldn’t hear a blessed note because of the screaming. Couldn’t scream because I was busy taking notes about everything that happened. Someone lighted a cherry bomb. If that happened today everyone would have been evacuated. Great experience. After the split, my husband and I went to see George Harrison, and Paul McCartney played here last month. They are a big part of my life.

Does anyone wonder why CBS allows the feeds when the spoilers always make the rounds? Wouldn’t they prefer people tuned in to see what happens? Is there anyone who does that…follows only through the aired episodes? When I think BB, it’s this site, I think of. And all of you.

I am a physical introvert. But put a keyboard in front of me and I can go on and on. I did join facebook after some urging (nagging)and the next morning my email was full. Most were from people I went to high school with 50 years ago, and I wasn’t through being tired of them yet. Never went back.

As far as feeds. IDK if they hurt ratings or not… I’d guess not. I know sometimes the CBS shows are a bit anticlimactic since we know what will happen, but I always watch them anyway… so does every other BB fan I know.

Funny about CBS episodes only…. the first 8 seasons that is exactly how I watched. I wasn’t even on blogs or any place to have spoilers then either. I had no idea until the next episode. But some of those are still my fave seasons…. go figure.

But since BB9 I’ve either watched BBAD or feeds… and enjoy knowing what will happen know. But only for BB. Any other show I don’t want spoilers. LOL
