Big Brother 18: What a Night!

Wow, what a night!

I nearly missed the latest episode of Big Brother. We had a pretty big storm down here in Texas earlier today and, a little bit before 6:00, it knocked out our power. Imagine my panic as I realized that, if the power did not come back on within the next two hours, I would miss the chance to see Michelle evicted!

Well, fortunately, the power did eventually come back on. It came back on 8:16, so I missed the first 15 minutes of the show. Apparently, I missed seeing Corey and Nicole offer Victor the money in return for agreeing to vote to evict Michelle. (That was unnecessary, in my opinion. They already had Victor’s vote. But it was still a nice gesture on their part and Victor does deserve some sort of reward for his loyalty.)

When the power came back and I finally got to see Big Brother, all of the houseguests were watching videos of their family members and crying. That was sweet to watch. This was followed by a long segment about Victor’s family and that was sweet too.

But, honestly, what I really wanted to see was how Michelle reacted to being evicted. And, when the time came, the show did not disappoint. It appears that this was the first true blindside of the season as Michelle had no idea she was about to be evicted.

When it came time to give their final speeches, Paul gave a very typical Paul speech. If you like Paul, you probably enjoyed the speech. If Paul gets on your nerves, you were probably cringing the whole time he was speaking.

Then it was time for Michelle to give her speech and … well, I don’t know if Michelle was nervous or if she was just so confident that she decided to just wing it and not give much thought beforehand to what she wanted to see. Michelle’s speech was a rambling and occasionally incoherent mess. It was Big Meech at her worst.

Then it was time to vote. James and Nicole voted to evict Paul. Victor and Corey voted to evict Michelle. When Julie announced that the result of the vote was a tie, you could tell that Michelle was shocked. Nicole then proceeded to cast her tie-breaking vote. She evicted Michelle.

And, for a few minutes, I thought Michelle might not leave. Instead, she stood there and she yelled about how Nicole was the biggest threat in the house and had to be voted out. Then Michelle, who has been stealing stuff all season, grabbed Pablo the Pelican and finally left the house…

Michelle finally stared to cry while talking to Julie. And I’m just going to be honest — I know that some people really like Michelle and I kind of liked her at the start of the season but I am so glad that she is now gone. Michelle can complain all she wants about the other houseguests. Ultimately, Michelle has no one to blame but herself for being evicted. She could have at least made the effort to campaign a little.

Anyway, James was pretty shocked by how the vote went and it looks like he and Natalie are going to be in some trouble next week because guess who just won HoH?

Victor!

That’s right — Victor has been voted out of the house twice, he’s reentered the house twice, and now he’s won HoH for a third time!

James and Natalie are going to be in some trouble…

We’ll see what happens!

I have never liked ” Big Meech”. She’s a whiney pain in the ass. Big time. She left like the total ass she is tonight…making a fool of herself. I wish I could slap her. She whined to Julie ” I wanted to wiiiiinnn” Gag me. So glad to see her go!! Love the Victor won HOH!! I hope he wins it all! James is another ass…his “gut” is not helping him! I will be VERY happy when good old James is sent packing..cant wait!

It took 79 days, but I think BB is going to finally get interesting. I’m looking forward to next week, especially since Victor won! Go, Vic! I was worried at the beginning of the comp because he was having trouble even getting hold of an egg. I should have trusted his comp beast status. I can’t wait to hear James and Nat discuss their position in the house now that Meech has gone.

Even the CC typer couldn’t make out everything Meech was saying as she left. It was all negative gobbledygook directed mostly at Nic.

James may be looking forward to the both of them going to jury. Then they’ll have privacy and no camera to watch them kissing, etc. Nat won’t be able to use that as an excuse any more.

Bobo, everyone loves you!

Was the purpose of the eagles to try to knock the eggs off? Did an eagle ever take off with one? I hate this comp anyway.

As long as James and Corey didn’t win, I’m okay with Victor’s victory. But, now will Vic feel beholden to Corey because of the $5,000 bribe money?

I was expecting to read that people were thankful for Michelle stealing Pablo the Pelican. Maybe by morning the Pablo haters will comment. =0)

This is way off topic but who will be watching the next Big Brother that starts soon? I get so much less done when it’s Big Brother Time anyway. So now to I start it again lol. I missed one season due to a long hospital stay and I really was to out of it to watch anyway.
Just wanted to see if this is a must watch big brother extra season that I should watch? If I don’t watch it and everyone’s talking about it who I feel I know because of this board I will feel left out. Reading the board and not seeing the show is just not the same. Lastly I must thank Lisa Marie who does not ever get the credit she deserves but we all try to thank her, to me without her work on here it just would not be the same. Thanks sooo Much Lisa!
And everyone on here who makes this so great of place I thank you also, I feel we are like a family better as I agree more with you guys than my real family.

IDK when they will do certain comps but I would think they would let us know??
All I know is it starts September 28th and is 10 weeks long. And they say we will get to see everything… including the stuff we don’t see on feeds now like comps & ceremonies.

IDK if I will watch. Part of me wants to.. to not miss a season. But part of me doesn’t want to help promote this pay stuff.. and plus the break from BB is always nice.

I agree, Mark, that this is like a family, but much better. We
all have a common thread that ties us together…BB. But if
we need to take a break we can and hurt no one. It’s the best
of the best.
I, too, have been debating on whether or not to watch what
I call “the BB experiment”. It really takes so much of my
time (something we never have enough of) to watch and blog..
but you can’t have one without the other. I am waiting to
see whom they will choose as hgs. I hope they announce
by some method the list of players. If not, I will tune in
for sure for the first couple of weeks to find out. I just don’t
like having to pay extra to watch. They are getting free air
wave time and make their money by selling commercial
time. Now they want to make us pay to watch them, too??
Somehow that rubs me the wrong way. But then I am down
on CBS right now anyway. So my opinion doesn’t count
much.
I am so sorry you had a long hospital stay and hope all is
well with you now.

Mark….I share your sentiments…on everything but mostly about watching another season so soon. It does take up a ton of time. And it is going to be on one WEEK after this BB ends! They had said Oct but they showed the time on TV and it starts the 28th I believe. That’s one week after the finale. It’s so soon!! I don’t get the reasoning behind this at all. I would love a winter one starting in like Feb. This just seems like overload /overlap!
Part of me doesn’t want to bother but I know I will feel the same way if I don’t …left out. It’s a curse…lol

BTW…no one ever agrees with their REAL family….lol

Mark, love to you back! You belong here with the rest of us BB fans, and you put it oh, so well. If it says BB, I will watch. This all access version is step toward the future of television perhaps so let’s see where it goes. Honestly, I don’t think it could be worse than the last couple of forgettable seasons of prime time. They will have a golden opportunity to do things differently. We can only hope!

Sounds like you had a bad time of it in the hospital. I’m glad you are back to health. Selfishly because I liked your input.

I like reading the blog better then seeing the show, but I know I’d miss the show if I didn’t watch. BBAD – forget it.

I still don’t know why those 2 idiots Nicory aligned with the 2 strongest guys in the house but oh well it saved my 2 faves this week … Victor and Paul…and so glad to hear Victor win HOH!! Lisa……I was just listening to Corey, Nicole and Paul and they were saying that Michelle, at the last minutes before the show started finally approached Nicole to find out who was going to be evicted. Apparently there was a big brouhaha with crying and begging (Natalie and Michelle) and James was mad when Nicole told her she was going home. There was a big confrontation among all of them. So she knew she was leaving and she still made that stupid speech. They bleeped part of what she said to Nicole as she was going to see Julie. Nicole said that Michelle yelled at her ‘You F—-d your way to the top of this game, you bitch’. That’s a real grown up isn’t it!

Well I’m glad Meech is gone but having watched BBAD tonight I don’t know how much more I can take of Nicole, Corey and Paul. They’re sitting in the Tokyo room and have been most of the show running James and Nat into the ground. I don’t like mean players and quite frankly the four are acting like mean little bitches. James and Nat are going to talk to Vic and tell him they had a F4 with Corey and Nicole last week and that Corey said if you don’t vote Vic out ( last week) your giving him 500,000 dollars. Can’t wait for Nicole to get called out after her and Corey have acted like their crap don’t stink this past week. Okay rant over. Sorry but I just really hate mean players. No sense in making them feel worse than they do right now.

I don’t care who goes home next. I think it’s funny as heck that Victor and Paul have been on the block a million times and Victor has been evicted a million times and they are going to end up final 2 lol. James hopefully has learned a lesson you don’t sleep and leave your money for others to watch. He just didn’t play the game; I think he was just there for exposure. Natalie is a air head and if she isn’t she sure can act. Nicole I think is cute as cute can be but dang did she really need a showmance? Victor is so fine, love his smile. Paul gets on my nerves somewhat but I seen a pic of him without that ugly pubic hair beard and he is very goodlooking. Why would he hide behind that ugly thing. Cory and nic cannot remain coupled bc they can never have babies together. Can you imagine the decision making skills of their offspring omg! And meech all I can say is bahahahahahaha

Have fun today sherry! I didn’t even know they had the Red Hats anymore. Hadn’t seen them around here in years! The last place I worked, we had groups of them come into our store to shop after their lunches. They were always a hoot!! Especially if they had imbibed a little…..lol We carried some red hat merchandise and they would come in to browse but they always cracked us up and made our day while they were there!! 😉 Does your group go out and get a little rowdy after your luncheon??? lol Whatever you do Im sure you will enjoy!! 😉

drink sometimes. 🙂 🙂 Occasionally we hit the flea markets
afterwards. The group is a hoot. A lot of laughter at each
meeting. We don’t do much more than eat at a different
restaurant each month. Dressing up and looking as gaudy
as possible is so much fun and such a shock to some people.
We make a lot of people smile. Driving a car wearing a red
and purple hat makes several take a second look, as if they
think they’ve imagined what they just saw.
Several of the women are also in Bunco, Canasta, and Newcomers with me. So we are very close. Must run. You

Hey Star…You mentioned jokers a few pages back and I meant to ask you…did they do away with the daily popularity poll? I looked for it a couple of times and gave up. ???

Nat and James on BBAD tonight had a little pity party… Woulda Shoulda Coulda. It’s difficult for me to feel sorry for them. How different the game would be now if he would have stayed on that darn wall instead of trusting Nicole. What a rude awakening.

Speaking of BBAD, I lost about 1 1/2 hrs of it tonight. One of those test things ran across the top of the screen. I knew it was going to mess something up but I checked and it was still recording. Not sure what happened, but hope I didn’t miss anything good…like the HOH room or any drama!! I get FOMO ya know…..;)

James is a dumb ass. Truly. I feel nothing but comtempt for him. This is his 2nd time on the show…he hasnt even played at all.. too busy rubbing Nat’s back, and kissing her ass. When he goes on the block and is evicted, I will be happy…was giving up your chance for $$ for a showmance worth it? He never was a good player..even on his first season. WHY did they bother to bring him and Nicole back?

Plus they have to get people that are either unemployed or otherwise able to take the summer off. I’m sure some turn them down so they kind of have to make do with what they get…lol
It’s not like back in the day when the only players that got to come back were the really good ones!!! Most of whom had won their season. I don’t think the bar is set very high anymore….lol

Lisa…. SO happy you are safe and have your power back! So many places having bad storms right now. And you are so lucky as whenever we lose our power, they never seem to get around to getting it back on until at LEAST the next day!! Guess the do things faster in Texas!! 😉

I had a really stressful day and got some bad news I am still trying to process, so I was SO happy to see Vic win!!!! He has sort of become the underdog hero and deserves to win BB more than anyone else does at this point!!

Everyone thinks Nic and Corey made such a bad move alligning with P&V. But I think they figured they could trust them and those two would help them clean up the other 3 and get them out of the house, since most of them are good at comps. And then those 4 can battle it out. I’m glad they weren’t *afraid* of them. Strength went with strength and may the best man win! We watched BB for 3 months of lazy play by a bunch of kids who didn’t even know the game! So from here out, it will be real competitors!
No more jealous, angry Meech. No more vain, life-sucking user Nat . And James her willing victim. I LIKE James, but I don’t respect how he chose to play ……which was NOT to play really. He not only lounged in bed with Nat all summer, he constantly threw comps!! It took me all summer to get into this game and right now, I’d prefer Vic to win, but either couple in the F2 deserves it and will be ok with me.

About Meech…you could tell it wasn’t a blindside and she knew because she was the only one dressed up. Always a tell tale sign. In fact, that was her big concern and she kept whining to Nat about how Nic wasn’t coming to TELL her she was going up or not. She wanted to know if she could wear her dress!!! She shouldn’t have bothered tho because her words certainly weren’t lady like and like they say…..you can put lipstick on a pig but……lol

STar, I agree and understand about returning houseguests…most of them have jobs and lives, LOL. and cant do the show. James has annoyed me so much with his lack of gameplay, I’m not sure I even like him as a person anymore. Doesn’t his child need the money?? Anyway, I also agree Corey and Nick ( who is finally playing ) made a good choice to go w/ Vic and Paul. I’m sorry you got bad news yesturday. I’ll keep you in my prayers .

Glad to hear your power came back on and you were safe last night. The storm is headed up here to the East Coast so we may lose it Sunday :(. It was a good show last night and I enjoyed Meech’s antics. She didn’t seem totally blindsided to me as she has been depressed under the covers all week. I think it was stupid for Nicorey to go with Paul and Victor, they just handed over more than just the $5K to them. Also think production would like to see Victor win; it seemed like the eagles were laying off him and hitting Corey and Nat , also showing his family situation made him more sympathetic to win. It would be interesting to know if they suggested throwing him the bribe behind closed doors.Still voting for James as America’s favorite even though he should have never trusted Nicole and threw the comp, both game changing mistakes. Of Nicorey, Victor and Paul, Vic is my choice for the win 👍🏻.

Janna…Its been 4 years since I lost my mama and I still have a bad day here and there, but trust me, it gets easier as time goes by. 💜

Loved seeing the families tonight and even more, the emotion from Vic, I guess I have to say Paul too. Even I shed a tear or two! Guess Nicole must be made of steel, she was blank, void of any emotion.

What a poor sport the Big Munch turned out to be…perhaps chomping on plastic hangers makes her irritable…

Star…Nah, you didn’t miss much. No hoh room reveal, they don’t show that much anymore, I think only once this season. The room was probably still being prepared, the staff still shopping at Ralph’s for his food basket. I saw the necklace around Victor’s neck and knew that he had won. I wish nat or James had won, just to make it more interesting. Nic, Corey and Paul rehashing ad nauseum past Munch stuff and in the other room Nat and James licking their wounds, seeing their impending doom.

I didn’t know your Mom had passed. My condolences. Mine’s been three years and I kind of disagree. It feels just as bad as it did then only worse because I want to talk to and be with her so much and the times I were just keep getting farther away. It;s always hard when someone passes and time usually does help. But it’s not helping me with her. Maybe eventually.

And what WAS Meech doing ith those hangers in her mouth?? Flossing????? SO gross!!!! lol

@Star. Exactly my question. I thought maybe she was using the hanger to pick something out of her teeth. It really bugged me.

As for the mom thing, I talk out loud to my mother who has passed all the time. She has been gone four years. I still cry every now and then but I do think talking to her helps. Makes me feel like she is still here. And I know she can hear me and gives me a piece of her mind right back, so I answer her. Makes me look crazier than I already am so I usually end up laughing about it. Hope that helps you and Janna and anyone else who is reading this blog. =0)

Well dumb Nicole had a chance to stop the power group and evict Paul. That would have been James and Natalie and Cory in her corner with the vote. Meech would have icing on the cake.

Paul and Victor would have had no power even with Victor HOH winning. They are both snake for each other . James needs to win a comp next week.

Nicole made huge gamble keeping paul and Vic in, she should have back doored victor. Why go after pretty weak meech?

Paul and Victor target list should be James and then Nicole next week if they win next HOH. Only X factor us that no one is gonna want to sit next to Victor in final 2 so Paul might want Nicole in final 3 as she would probably take him to final 2 and Victor definately would.

Got home this morning and watched the show ASAP!! Then watched some of HOH comp on flashback, but honestly, that comp has always been painful to watch IMO… just so frustrating! LOL.

Thoughts on Meech’s eviction..
1) Glad Meech is gone!! I was so sick of her sleeping or wrapping herself up in her cocoon all day. Tired of her whining. Tired of her being a hypocrite complaining about people who did some of the same things she did herself. Over her!! buh bye!

2) Way to leave the show with class dumbass. Lisa, you wrote almost word for word what I thought of Michelle’s speech, rant, and interview…. “rambling and occasionally incoherent mess”.… “incoherent rambling” were the first 2 words that jumped into my head when watching. And I’m no Pablo fan here… but really? That was also very childish… the bigger question is why did I expect more from her?

3) The final straw was Meech’s interview with Julie. She actually threw Nat & James under the bus!! OMG this girl. Meech said she didn’t campaign because Nat & James told her not to?? Are you kidding me? Nat & James were telling her to go talk to Nicole all week… and telling her to campaign!

4) Non game related… and maybe a bit cruel, But to me Meech looked like a ventriloquist dummy sitting up there with Julie. Maybe the Tammy Faye eyelashes, hair hat, and everything added to that. Plus the random spouting of nonsense. I really expected Jeff Dunham to appear from behind them and take a bow after.

I can only hope they don’t have her return.. but the way these shows go they probably will.

My opinion about evicting Meech as the right move was always from Nicole’s game perspective. Not from a house perspective.

Nic evicted Meech and is safe this week.
If Nic had evicted Paul she would be on the block today… and needing to win veto to stay in the game.
So it seems pretty clear to me she made the right choice for her game… not for the house.

Yes.. Paul & Vic are big threats. One of them will probably win. And I’m fine with that.. they deserve to win this game IMO.

But for Nic, she had to do what she did just to get through this week to even have a shot. I try to look from their view instead of mine

And I’m not a Nicole fan really either. Nicole’s problem is she can’t take ownership for anything in the game. She thinks it’s best to deny deny deny. Not always… sometimes that makes you look worse.

James told Vic that Nicorey & Jatalie had a final 4. But Vic wasn’t phased by that… and pointed out to James that James betrayed Vic by siding with Nicorey when they had a deal of their own. And later Nic wanted to deny everything when the better play would have been to just tell the truth. Nic & Corey were alone in the game then… against 5 people… of course they had to try something. Vic understands that. But denying everything makes you just look more sketchy. Corey later pointed that out to Nicole and she did finally agree.

And Corey… WTF. Going for “have” right at the start of the HOH comp. That was very dumb!! Vic didn’t appreciate that at all. That comp was so close any of 4 people could have won at any time. Every shot with an egg was crucial. Trying to not be a have not could have easily been the difference in Nat winning HOH… and then Corey & Nic would be on the block. Very dumb of him… and Nicole did tell him so…. but like many things, he just didn’t seem to understand what the big deal was

The only 2 that didn’t go for “have” were Nat & Vic. Nat has never not pass so she didn’t need it… but I really don’t think she would have went for it anyway.. she was trying to win! And Vic won HOH so he wont be a have not. So looks like the bumper cars will be empty this week.

Jt Jeff Dunham is a classier act than that.
At this point Victor should win. No one else deserves to win because they didn’t get Vic’s ass out and kept it out. Nichole should be the next to go for being a moron and deciding to take the two strongest players to the final 4. Then James for breaking deals in the house that could have potentially taking him a lot further. And also for thinking with his penis.
So even though I do not like Victor and have not liked him since the begining, he is truly the best and most deserving person to win right now.

Everyone that thinks Nicole made a stupid move evicting Michelle must not watch the feeds. Michelle (and Nat) dogged her ALL the time behind her back and directly to her face and said how much they wanted her to go! With James and Natalie constantly changing their minds that was three solid votes against her. They made the final four with J/N but they then overheard a slip that James made in front of them about voting Corey out and knew that was not a true alliance.

They realized that they could join with Vic and Paul and those two, especially Vic, would remain loyal to them to final four. They solidified that loyalty by giving Vic the $5000 knowing that would confirm his loyalty. Vic is a pretty straightforward kind of guy and keeps his word, Paul not so much, but he has Vic to control his impulses. Vic did that last night when Paul was making comments about how he wanted to treat James and Nat. Vic put a stop to it telling Paul no that it was not necessary to be mean.

I think it was a very good move by Nicole and should save them until final four, which was the agreement.

Anyone seeing how Michelle behaved last night should understand. Who the heck would want to keep someone like that in the house? I sure wouldn’t! Natalie is so suggestable that she was right in there agreeing with Michelle. It was a miserable situation for Nicole.

After the comp last night Nat and James were talking and he said he knew they were going on the block. Nat started chastising James saying he should have listened to her and kept Vic. On and on. Then she told James if she won the veto she would use it on him. Lol. It was VERY easy for James to convince her otherwise. As usual, it was all about her and James stupidly agreed to sacrifice his game for hers. What an idiot! He just can’t see when he is being played.

Of course,this is all JMHO! 😻. ❤️

Totally get not upgrading. I have a laptop that I got with Windows 8. Never got used to it. Now it automatically upgraded to Win10 which ticked me off, and it’s even worse. I also have an old PC and it’s win 7. When I need to print anything or just want to not have any problems I go down there. Mike used to love having all the newest puters. But since he got an iPhone he never even uses a puter. In fact he never gets off his phone!!!! He’s like a teenager and I wish I could ground him!!! Lol

In the rest of the house, Nat has been bitching all day looooonnnnggg how mistreated they have been by everyone, poor me, poor me. She has also been accusing James of being the fault of their position right now. I can’t tell you how many times they have gone over the same thing, over and over. One minute she will tell James if she wins the veto she is going to use it on him. You can tell she really doesn’t mean it and he will immediately say,’no this is my fault you’re in this position I’m going to use the veto on you. Then she says ‘oh, jamsie you are so adorable. If I win this m going to buy us a little cottage to live in’. In what galaxy is that going for to happen. She has him totally wrapped. Its sickening.

On the other side of the house they are playing dominoes, making lemonade from scratch and enjoying each other’s company.

Now James and Nat are getting rid of each other’s blackheads! I hate that monkey grooming!

James told Natalie if he leaves to work with Vic and Paul! Lol. Little bit too late.
