Big Brother 19 — False Alarm

Hi, y’all!

Okay, so briefly, it looked like something unexpected might happen in the house. Matt had won the veto and, if he used it on himself, that would mean that Alex would not get to name a replacement. So, to backdoor Cody, it would be necessary for Matt to actually use the veto on someone other than himself. That’s a lot to ask of someone when he’s on the block. Even Paul acknowledged that.

Plus, Alex was furious at Elena because Elena won $5,000 at the veto comp. For once, I can’t wait to see the comp for myself on Wednesday because I’m still a little bit confused as to how it all went down. I think that they wanted Elena to win the veto because she could then use it on herself and then they could put Cody on the block. But it turned out that the veto comp was that thing where the competitors had the option of taking someone else’s prize or punishment. And Elena took the $5,000 over the veto and, apparently, this led to Alex getting a punishment where she had to cook a huge number of hot dogs for the house.

And Alex was absolutely furious about this. Eventually, she did say that she enjoyed making the hot dogs but she’s still mad at Elena for putting her in the position of having to do it.

So, for a brief while, Alex and Paul were talking about actually getting rid of Elena and then going after Cody. However, Matt has now let them know that he has no problem using his veto on Jason and staying on the block. So, we’re back to the old plan. Cody will be backdoored.

I’m actually kind of shocked at Matt. Who wins a veto and then uses it on someone other than themselves? That’s just stupid. Matt says that he want to show everyone that he can be trusted and that he can trust them but just imagine if Matt makes it to the final two.

“Matt, what was your biggest move in the house?”

“Remember when I won the veto and, instead of saving myself, I saved someone that I really don’t like because Paul told me to? That was my biggest move in the house.”

Oh well! Right, now it looks like Cody will be heading to the jury house on Thursday. Since it’s a double eviction episode, it appears that either Elena or Mark will be the second target. Apparently, they actually want Elena out more than Mark, despite the fact that Mark has actually won two comps whereas Elena hasn’t won any.

It’s a strange year but, as always, we’ll see what happens!

I am extremely disappointed, but not suprised. What a bunch of idiots! My only hope is that Mark wins the next HOH and puts up Alex and Paul, or Christmas a Paul. If Paul comes off, keep the Alex and Christmas there.

I know that my generation is not the target audience for this den of inequity. And to be quite honest, it concerns me that THIS is what this generation finds entertaining and possibly acceptable. I have not found this episode to be entertaining, exciting or eager to watch. I have not expected the unexpected. This season is brutal, boring and filled with a bunch of zombies. Mark is the ONLY one who is brave enough to have a heart in the house to be friends with Cody at the risk of being shunned!

To be shunned and even evicted from these horrible creatures is a compliment.

In some respects, I hate this years bb. I hope they don’t bring another vet back next year. I think Cody and Jess should come back for all stars in the future. Give Cody some peace of mind and let him go. He could get an ulcer with all the stress. Paul is a dirty dog

I hate this season. Strictly BC of Paul. Biggest jerk ever to hit the house. 2nd reason I hate BB this year is BC of all the lame twist this year. I didn’t even like the eviction halt. I hated that Paul had 3 weeks free plus his 1st week BC he was brought in as a replacement. I hate that Christmas got to remain in the game when she should have been sent home BC she can’t play in most of thr physical comps and BC she shouldn’t have been allowed to ise the ring in a Comp shr was medically unfit to play. I hate tha Kevin let’s this bunch of kids talk to him like they do . I hate that Christmas calls Mark honey and inhatr her hatefulnesd. Yes she should have been voted out the 1st tie up. Cody got screwed from thr get go. But I’m voting him favorite player so he wins 50k hopefully. It’s thr least I can do for a military guy. Plus hopefully it will send a mrssar to BB. I am probably gonna stop watching after he is voted out; I almost didn’t watch tonight.

I liked Alex at first but she is so under Paul’s thumb that I can’t stand her. I can’t stand Christmas and Raven is a pain in the butt. I loved Kevin but now I see he is just another puppet. And they are all so damn mean to Josh. I don’t like him but I don’t think he would be the same if Paul wasn’t there. I don’t even like Jason anymore. And it is because of Paul.

Cathy, so absolutely true, every word matches mine.

If Paul makes it to final two, I hope Julie will say “This year the first hg to be voted out wins the 500k and the second voted out gets the 50k Expect the unexpected!!!!” Those two weren’t around long enough to make me dislike them as hard as I do the rest of these people.

If not that, then she can say Cody wins and Jess is second just for proving they had minds of their own.

I cannot stand Christmas. She is becoming B—h. She should have been sent home when she jumped on Jason’s back and broke her leg. When she got to use that ring on Cody that was it for me and BB. I have no respect for any of the players. They are all Paul want a 🐝 s. Very very big disappointment for our summer of obsession. Her disrespect for Mark was over the top.

for him, X-mas is sitting back and letting Paul do her dirty
work for her, until like the snake she is, she strikes.
There is a battle royal brewing underneath the fake friendship
between Paul and X-mas. They are too much alike and deal with
people too similarly. They’ve both been given so much special
help from BB. The only real threats to their games is each other.
It could be a bloody battle. It certainly won’t be pretty. Since I don’t like either, I couldn’t care less who wins.

Cathy. I agree with you totally! I will vote Cody as favorite player because he is a vet but more so because he was the smartest in the house. He knew that Paul was a snake from day one and if BB didn’t protect him for 4 weeks he would have been out of the house and maybe this would have been a summer I could have enjoyed watching. At least more then I do now. I really dislike everyone in that house except Mark. I wanted to jump through the tv a few times tonight. First to wipe off Alex ‘ smug face and then to give Christmas a piece of my mind for the way she talked to Mark. It is just UNBELIEVABLE!

Tracey … I don’t feel Cody was the smartest in the house. If he was so smart he would not have isolated himself and would have played a better game. It’s not smart to try to play without trying to make friendships in the house! I think if he had never hooked up with Jessica he would have been a better player and would have probably won this season. He only has himself to blame. Well, maybe Jess also! lol

It’s just so boring along with the filthy language at night it’s just gross to watch. I am so sick of every sentence having the f bomb in it. Where do they find these people in the gutter? No good quality people at all. Am in the only person in the world that does not have people around them that talk like this? I just curious about that for real; please tell me. I hear some people say shit, or damn but not a lot of people that drop the f bomb…..maybe every now and them but sometimes not for months on end. I’m a Christian and I try to enjoy some television but this is just crazy. I understand that this game is lying and manipulation but these people this year’s are all a bunch of vipers lol. I think my favorite years were Derricks win and Ians win.

I’m with you Cathy! How do you get by in life with that kind of language? How do you get through a job interview with that language? Once you start using the F bomb every other word it becomes second nature and you don’t even realize you’re doing it. I honestly think some of them didn’t use that language before coming to the house, but since Paul talks like that, they had to mimic him to be cool. SMH

Cathy, I’m with you — no one around me talks like this. My oldest grandchildren are 23 & 19. They are polite, courteous, KIND and have a better vocabulary, by far. I don’t understand the constant F bombs — haven’t heard so many since watching The Sopranos! Actually, the houseguests are worse, IMO.

I think these young, immature houseguests (especially Josh) are trying to look cool in front of each other. Of course, Kevin is older & has the same potty mouth.

Cathy, you are not alone. Many, especially Hollywood people,
in California and New York talk like this all the time. The
younger generation, more and more so.
People in the mid-west and in the south still frown on this
kind of language, which cuts down on this becoming a common
method of communicating with others.
It depends on where you live as to what kind of people you
associate with and whether or not you hear this kind of lanaguage used with this kind of regularity. At least that’s MHO.

Cathy I’m with you. I never hear that F bomb used among my family or friends. Not even when I’m out in public I just never hear that the bomb. I am also a Christian and it kind of makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up but I hear it . I’m so tired of Alex Christmas and Paul. I think the game will start to be enjoyable when those three are in the jury house.

Cathy, I too agree with you. The majority of my friends and family do not drop f bombs as those do in the BB house with exception of one of my nephews who tries to curtail it’s usage at my request. I tell him that we would not be able to talk if he couldn’t use that word. It’s use is second nature especially to those in the drug culture. We can partially blame Hollywood and the FCC for allowing it.

They were talking about BB polls and websites on bbad and Paul mentioned Joker’s Updates and Reddit. He’s such a liar. Said that Joker’s ratings are based on game play. Hah! If that is the case, which it’s not, Kevin the floater would not have been in the #1 spot for a great deal of the season. Pretty sure it’s based on likability and popularity.

BB isn’t strictly enforcing the punishment costume rules letting both Paul and Alex break the rules, especially Alex.

Oh… Elena went up to the HOH reporting that there was a loud strange noise coming from the middle of the kitchen. Everyone hung over the railing looking down to the kitchen and heard the noise so Jason and Kevin went to investigate and it stopped. Kevin said it’s a great big rat or mouse just like when he was a kid. It reminded me of Caleb the Rat Slayer in the year that BB was playing tricks on them.

At the bottom of the CBS Big Brother webpage there is a link under Information called BROADCAST FEEDBACK. I just submitted my comments expressing the fact that bringing back veteran players is ruining the program with long time viewers. As well as the perception that some players are getting preferential treatment. Don’t get me wrong – I am not anti-Paul – but I am against Paul coming back and having an advantage since he knows the game… Perhaps some of you Team Cody fans should contact CBS directly as well. I have seen the power of pushback in other instances. I JUST WANT A FUN SHOW!

I also just submitted my comments to the POP network concerning allowing the broadcast of the profanity, that viewers are turning off the show because of it, and suggesting that perhaps the next step is contacting their advertisers directly.

I am a BB die hard. I have watched every season, every episode and have watched the feeds several years. I have stayed up all night at times in the past to watch a HOH endurance comp. This season I have watched very little of the feeds because I find the Paul Show to be very boring and predictable. It is sad to say that at this point I don’t care who wins, I have no favorite and really I haven’t cared for this cast at all. I will continue to watch with the hope that the game will get exciting at some point (hopefully by evicting Paul). IMO the game is not fun without a favorite or 2 or 3 to root for.

They got enough footage for the broadcast and now they are very laid back about the uniform, tent, backpack, hotdogs, etc. I have seen her in the kitchen and HOH without all that…in her regular clothing.

Mark decided to go for the key to unlock the box in the Have Not room to get off of Have Nots. He picked the correct one this time. The only reason he wanted off was because Josh has been sleeping with Elena and it is driving Mark crazy. He told Elena he just can’t bear knowing that Josh is in the bed with her. What a wussy idiot!

Margie, Maggie seems better today. We have been putting medicine in rice! We have been feeding her a little every five hours. Thank you for asking. I didn’t sleep very well last night because I was afraid she would poop on my bedroom floor! I got up once and put her out and fed her. She loves her Jasmine Rice! 🍚😊
