Big Brother 19 — Veto Ceremony Results

Hi y’all!

Everyone’s probably already heard the news but let’s just make it official:

They had the veto ceremony earlier today. Matt is not only on the block but he also has the veto. So, of course, he used the veto to … SAVE JASON!

During any other season, this would probably be a contender for the dumbest move in the history of Big Brother. However, Paul is obsessed with getting Cody out and, since Paul is running Alex’s HoH, Alex replaced Jason with Cody. And just about everyone in the house is planning on voting for Cody to be evicted. Paul has been saying that someone should vote to evict Elena, just to make Elena nervous. Otherwise, it appears that Cody is going to be evicted on either a 7-0 or a 6-1 vote.

Even though Matt probably won’t suffer for not using the veto on himself, it still just feel wrong. It doesn’t feel like Big Brother. If you’re on the block, you should always save yourself. That’s just common sense. Instead, Matt saved someone else and is apparently still whining about Mark using the veto on himself last week.

Speaking of Mark, he and Elena are a bit angry right now. They thought that Matt was going to use the veto on Elena. Alex assured Elena that she was just going up as a pawn and that she would be taken down and replaced by Cody. Instead, Matt and Elena are now realizing that, as soon as Cody goes, they’ll be the next two targets.

Paul and Alex, meanwhile, are both growing more and more angry with Kevin. They’re upset because Kevin has been talking to Cody. Paul ordered the entire house to not to talk to Cody. Jason has warned Kevin that Paul doesn’t like him talking to Cody. Kevin, however, has said that he doesn’t like being told who he can and can not talk to.

Just a reminder: Thursday is double eviction! It’s a 99.9% certainty that Cody will be voted out first. After that, it depends on who wins HoH. Mark has actually said that he might go after Paul is he wins HoH. (However, he’s also said that he might go after Christmas.) If Mark or Elena don’t win HoH, one of them will probably the 2nd to leave the house on Thursday night.

We’ll see what happens!

But I did catch part of a convo between Raven and Cody where he said he ‘wanted several children preferably boys and maybe she would find someone who was okay with not having children’. Hey all,
Seriously, is this the strangest season or what of BB?! I mean c’mon, I think it would’ve all been so different and so much better had they not even brought Paul in!! Where does it say in the BB casting rules that they always have to bring in a vet or two?! Good grief?! How about a season of all newbies for a change? If you wanna use vets just bring ’em in to help with comps here and there. I’m so tired of seeing them compete and like Paul (thinking he owns and runs the whole darn house)! I’m so sick of his smugness, and his “I run you all” attitude!!

Everyone was or is for Cody and Jessica and what kind of game did they play..none.
They stayed in bed most of the time.
I love Paul because right or wrong he is playing the game.
I also think Alex is smart and knows what is going on and I hope will win the game!

Alex is clearly playing her own game. She is not being used blindly by Paul. They teamed up very early on and have an alliance name. Yet they have been very frank with each other about their realistic goals in this game. Paul has said to her and others that he is aware he probably won’t win. Alex has been very clear that her first allegiance is to her friend Jason. The discussion between Alex and Jason about how they will both continue to protect each other and would be happy to have the other one win was just nice. The conversation about Holly his wife and his son Gatlin was so sweet it made me like both of them even more. Go look it up on the feeds. It was very genuine and showed they are both nice people outside this game. I bet Holly is rooting for this friendship to go far in the game too.

Instead of rooting for someone to win my hope for this season is for Paul not to win. I will admit he is running the show but I totally dislike the means by which he is doing it.

I to will be sad to see Cody. I hate the way they are all voting the same way Paul’s way. This season sucks big time I have no interest watching the live feeds as it is so boring listening to Paul bashing Cody and now Kevin. Good for Kevin for talking to Cody who the hell does Paul think he is telling them who they can talk to in the house. I see that Paul made sure that he talked to Cody the other night for Cody’s Jury vote. I was happy to see Alex tell Josh not to go off on Cody as now they have t think of jury votes. Paul will be telling Josh to go off on Cody and Mark also so Josh will not get their Jury votes. I cannot stand Paul and Xmas is getting on my last nerve the way she spoke to Mark with her honey and boo boo. Mark is not allowed to talk game with anyone mean while that witch is talking game every night with Paul. Dont get me started on Raven the only ones I like now are Kevin Jason and Mark. I think that Raven and Matt will go after Alex and Jason and they could be following Cody to the jury house next week. If that happens Cody can tell them told ya. I do not think that Paul will take Alex to the end with him he will take Xmas or Josh as he can beat those two.

Okay, what is this game were watching? What happened to our Big brother?? This looks like a show that was on awhile back, called, Dumb, and Dummer. I couldn’t watch it either. Have you ever been driving along in your car and all of a sudden you come up to a really bad accident and you don’t want to look, but you just can’t help taking a peek? Then you start to feel foolish because you can’t leave. You want to see if there are any survivors. Then you go home and feel kind of empty because you spent so much time and got no satisfaction. Production, PLEASE!!! do something to save our BB. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

What is with these people? Alex is screaming at Mark because he took the pillow and blanket off the bed she is not using (she is using the HOH bed this week). The “crowd” is enjoying her bullying Mark. Since when does the hgs own beds in the BB house? Mark has had to suffer so much abuse this season, it is so sad to see this abuse. The “crowd” loves the abuse and on and on it goes. Heartbreaking!!

This has got to be The most frustrating season of BB EVER!!😕😕😕
With the exception of a few, this season’s players are the most gullible bunch of idiots to ever, ever, EVER play the game! It reminds me of “The King and I” with Paul sitting on his little throne, saying, “etc., etc., etc.!!” and all of his subjects just nodding their heads, agreeing with whatever King Paul says! If the “👑” King told them to go stick their heads in the 🚽 toilet and count to 20, they would probably do it. I can see them lining up now! 😕 It’s really kind of pitiful! 😕

Hi Allison –

It’s Paul’s mom and dad again. I know you helped us out last summer and got Paul out of our basement, but he came back even though we moved while he was in the Big Brother House, that rat bastard mailman must have given him our forwarding address, damn government employees! Paul must have paid him off with one of those ungodly ugly t-shirts with the super clever name “Dead Skulls” – is there such a thing as a live skull? Our son is a total Ed Hardy wanna be, it’s so embarrassing. Be original. For a kid with a t-shirt company, why can’t he wear a shirt, instead of having everyone look at his caved in chest with those ridiculous tattoos ? BTW, he got them in juvenile hall, from his cellmate, who sadly, had limited eyesight.

We totally need another break please! He has a “band” with five of his friends, and they practice 24/7 in our garage. They’ve been together for four years, they never improve, nor have they ever had a gig. It’s awful, we would rather be waterboarded than continue to live like this.

Do you have any idea what it’s like to find those disgusting little hairs all over our house? They are everywhere. It’s worse than a rat infestation. They are on the couches, in my kitchen, on my countertops, on the beds – he molts like a snake! I’ve gone through five Dyson’s in the past three months. We need an intervention. I know it’s not fair to make others live with him, but three months compared to 23 years is nothing, plus they have a shot at 500,000.00 – all we are getting is a loss of our sanity.

I know everyone in the house follows Paul, and does whatever he says, but it’s really Stockholm’s Syndrome. The houseguests really can’t stand Paul, they are just identifying with their captor psychologically. Most of the HG’s believe that their very survival relies upon Paul feeling affection for them and them also returning that affection. This is classic Stockholm Syndrome. Hopefully, they will snap out of it, before he takes over their free will permanently.

One last thing, Paul bosses us around and we hate it, but we can’t seem to get him to stop. He always comes into our bedroom like it’s his, it’s so bizarre. He even takes a shower in our bathroom. He wants to sleep in our bed, but we drew the line there. We have to lock our door to keep him out, he has no sense of boundaries. We are afraid of our son because he is a bully. We are begging you to help us out. We don’t want him to be our boy – we want him to be now and forever “your boy”.

This time we will be moving out of the country! Thank you – We love you! Paul’s Folks

Long time follower, first time commenter. I am not a Paul fan, but I think it would have been easier to accept his game play if he hadn’t been given four weeks of safety right off the bat. That’s a lot of time to size up the competition and manipulate.

If they had just not told the other house guest he was protected for 3 weeks I would love to have seen who would have jumped on the Paul wagon so quickly! I think they should have told him that he couldn’t tell them that he had 3 weeks total protection and if he did he would lose his protection. I really think some of the houseguest wouldn’t have jumped in the Paul wagon a d turned on Cody so quickly.

I watched 45 minutes of Jessica answering questions from her home wearing a baseball hat and watching the live feeds. The girl can sure multi-task! While watching the feeds she read and answered questions while at the same time read and commented on comments that were rapidly scrolling past on the screen. I think it might have been a live Instagram fee/video? Someone asked her about the Raven Cody thing and she explained in detail what that deal was. Raven attached herself to Cody from the start and slept with him in his HOH bed for 4-5 nights but no “hook up.” Jessica joined him in his bed the last night and when Raven walked in trying to reclaim her spot with Cody he told her no, that Jessica will be staying with him that night. Raven left and then immediately glommed onto Matt.

I think Paul is pruning Josh to be number two with him. If Paul was really smart, he would take Cody to the final two because he knows Cody wouldn’t have the votes. But, this is the year of Expect the Expected.
I have a laundry list of those I am hoping don’t win: Paul, Josh, Christmas, and Alex.

I have come to the conclusion that the only sane person in the BB house is Cody! I loved the way he stopped Josh in his tracks! And I applauded him when he told them he didn’t like any of them!
He has more class than all of those idiots combined! I would love to see Cody smash Paul and Josh’s heads together as he walks out of the house Thursday night! He probably doesn’t want to go into jury anyway! Who would he vote for?
I think you all know me by now, that I am a very positive person, but this season’s BB has brought out the worst in me. I really shouldn’t watch it. It frustrates the poop out of me!😕😕😕😕

OK just one of my bad weird habits…when stressed i screw up or sometimes it turns out…james likes long hair. he’s been trying to get me to grow mine out since 1998. it got to my neck in a bob and i got upset about my bro n law and buzzed it off….then continued to color it freaky colors…got tired of it (if anyone wants real bright red or purple hair..i have the colors here) so turned it platinum. my hair is grey and white anyway…..so it grew two inches…………i watched live feeds…i just went and buzzed it back down and i’m going even shorter tomorrow. all i need is a face lift and the buzz thing would be cool. email me any donations.

Susan, that was your best letter yet. I really do wonder how Paul’s parents live with him.
Tendr, I’ve been enjoying all your comments. They make me laugh while all BB19 is good for is to make us cry. We look forward to this show from season to season and this is the biggest disappointment yet.
I read somewhere that a poll is saying something like 75% of the viewers have quit watching because of Josh and Paul. I haven’t been watching the feeds and only tuning in TV for Thursday nights evictions.
Evil Dick wrote a really good blog about the season. I saw the link on FB. All the well know past players are speaking out against what is happening. CBS might not notice us but surely they will know what these well known names are saying. I never payed attention before to all the followers the past BB greats have. They can make a difference.
I’m not sure I’ll even watch eviction nights after Cody is gone. These other HG’s are revolting and Paul even worse.

Bb didn’t try to pick players that know the game. I think Alex knows alittle but the rest are ignorant just to make it easy for paul. I’m also wanting to know on my live feeds…I saw last night Josh in two places at the same time. And one was repeating a fight I’d just seen in a different one. I’m so tired of josh and wish mark would just stand up to everyone bitching at him. I wanted him to roar!

I just saw them all gang on Cody and I wanted to see him punch some teeth in. Yes I get that angry. I had a bully for a husband who’d berate me and follow me even if I walked out and if I jogged, so would he…doing a paul or josh at me. I’ve knocked holes in walls, doors, screamed, plugged my ears, to try not to be violent to him. I ended up walking out after my health crashed…..getting nothing….losing any retirement benefits just so he’d leave me alone.
I grew up with a father screaming and hitting me until I’d bleed and he’d laugh.
As a child I thought about killing him….A CHILD!
Screaming in my face is about the worse thing a person can do.

It just brought back bad memories and bb freaking sucks by not stopping the bullying by the whole house.

Is it Paul fault that they are dumb enough to follow him. Alex I think is her own person, this game will get better when some of these people who are not doing anything leave. Kevin, Matt, Raven are not doing anything to stay in the game. Mark wants to make waves but you need to win something and keep your month quiet you could go far. For those who think Paul is “playing the game,” do you watch the live feeds or BBAD? I’m sure I would feel different about Paul if I just saw the regular shows. All of the nasty, crude remarks he makes! Uncalled for! I guess I’m just old fashioned, but his constant references to his private parts makes me want to barf!!! I see no redeeming qualities in him at all. But that’s just me. After last night’s show, I am even more disgusted by him! YUCK!!!!😕

I’ve never heard anyone talk about stuff like that on tv. A lot of the stuff she and Elena did was uncalled for. Both of them showered nude together while Elena shaved her pubic area besides the fact that Elena says some of the most disgusting things ever.

In years past I have watched the live feeds for hours upon hours. This season I check in rarely. It’s a very predictable game now. We all know what is going to happen because King Paul tells us how it will be. Bullying sessions here and there, Raven talking about her illness, Matt eating cereal in his orange shirt, Elena teasing flip flop Mark, Josh acting a fool, Christmas not participating in competitions and scooting around the house, Cody being an outcast, Kevin having the hots for Christmas, Jason wearing dirty underwear if he is wearing any at all and Alex thinking Paul is not running her game. Ho hum….boring!!

CBS is doing just fine in the ratings with BB…and has been renewed for several more seasons.

This is such a disappointing season. Not only is it boring, but it is also very disturbing. The bullying and the assaults are so over the top and should have been put in check a long time ago. They even showed Jess on National TV chasing around the h/g’s sticking her fingers in their rear ends. Last time I checked, that’s sexual assault!!! Between Jessica and Elena, some of their discussions are absolutely disgusting. Who even thinks like that, much less says it on national tv. Someone said earlier they’ve never heard anything like this on tv. Well, I’m 66 years old and I’ve been around the block a million times and never in any conversation I’ve ever had with anyone in all these years has my asshole; vagina or how I take a shit come up in conversation. Who the hell wants to hear that kind of stuff, much less talk about it.

Julie Chen and all her co-hosts of The Talk berate bullying of all kinds along with any type of sexual harassment. Apparently CBS doesn’t seem to care about that if they think it’s getting them better ratings. SHAME OF CBS!!! The way these houseguests act and talk to others is just shameful. Don’t get me wrong. I can bury a sailor with my language if I want. But there’s a time and place. These people can’t go two words without the F bomb. How do they function in the real world. You can’t use that kind of language in the work force or talking to clients or ordering a coffee. But this seems to be their everyday way of talking. It’s pathetic!!!

In the beginning, I liked Alex; Christmas; Matt & Mark. Now, I don’t really like anyone. It’s hard to stay interested in the game when you don’t have anyone to pull for to win. I’m ok with Kevin because he’s still somewhat entertaining. But he’s done nothing except what Paul wants. I absolutely HATED Cody and wanted him gone after the first week. Now I would love to see him win just to piss off all the rest of the h/g’s. But I would hate to see Jessica reap from that. She really is a very nasty mean girl!! And I mean “nasty” is every sense of the word!

At this point, I’m looking forward to next year. I hope there will be more people who know the game than not. As for as this being an experiment – I think you have BB confused with a show on MTV called The Real World. That started in the 8O’s and I think it’s still going. Big Brother is a GAME. Started in The Netherlands. But it’s just a game. And more super fans and people who know it and understand it would make for a much better season of game playing than what they’ve been putting on for he past few years – except for 16. Great Season! As far as vets – if they didn’t win, they didn’t win. Give it up. Except I would love to see Evil Dick come back. Wish he could have played out that season they brought him back. An oldie, but a goodie!!! Although I wouldn’t mind seeing a game of all vets. They could be interesting. Otherwise, leave them at home!!

I’ve said my piece. Hope I can find someone I either like or respect enough to want to win. Otherwise, this year is a dud for me!!!

Funny, but I thought this was a place to give YOUR opinion! It was said: “It’s not about you!” Then who is it about? Why do they even need an audience of it’s not about us? ?
I agree with prattle’s pole! 😊
I will hesitate to give my opinion now!
We all have different personalities and view situations differently.
I love Big Brother, and giving up on it would be like forsaking a friend who turned out to a disappointment! You stick by your friends, even if you don’t agree with them. None of us should be made to feel like our point of view is wrong! Maybe I need a nap! Maybe I will be back later, and maybe not!😕

I am an atypical fan or rather was a fan. I’m 55 and male and have been watching with my wife for about 15 years. The good news is I quit watching last week and my wife quit watching last night. I have to tell you it is liberating. I have enjoyed BB over the years, but this season has disgusted me and turning it off has become a matter of personal character.
Clearly all civilized people were disgusted by the bullying and I believe the subject has been aptly covered although NOT over stated. I believe however, that the bulling is symptomatic of a larger problem. Specifically the maturity and character of the producers, and the quality of the houseguest.
I cannot believe that Paul, who is a horrible human being, was capable of turning every other house guest into the spineless reprobates that they are without some help from the producers and without the houseguest already being seriously flawed people. Was this the year they changed or eliminated a screening process? Either way gone are the days of clever deception complicated by moral and social norms. Here we are with the night of the brown shirts except these guys are worse.
It’s a shame I think the creative team did their part in adding twists to reduce predictability and fragment the pack mentality, but something went terribly wrong. No thanks.
