Big Brother 21 — The First Big House Meeting Of The Year

Hi y’all!

So, last night, we had the first big house meeting of the year and it was pretty much a dud. Remember the big dramatic house meetings of the past? Remember Zac being a jerk or Haliegh making things worse by trying to clear Bayleigh’s name? Last night’s house meeting was nothing like that.

Instead, Sam called a meeting because Analyse said something about not trusting him. Sam felt that it was important that everyone know that he wasn’t a part of any of Nick and Bella’s plans. During the meeting, Nick said that Sam could be trusted and then pretty much took all the blame for trying to convince Cliff to lie to Christie and put someone like Analyse or Tommy on the block. Nick told the house that he realized that he was probably going to lose Bella this week and that he was going to go home next week. Nick basically tried to come across as being as pathetic as possible. He’s trying to get people to feel sorry for him and not view him as a threat. He and Bella both know that Bella is going but, in private, Nick has told her that he’s not going to give up and he plans to at least make it to the jury.

Anyway, in the end, it was a pretty boring house meeting. Jessica even called it the most pleasant meeting she had ever been a part of, which isn’t what this season needs. We need drama and people fighting and power shifting from one side of the house to another. Instead, we’ve got a bunch of floaters who are basically just going along with whatever the majority says.

For example, Cliff has still been telling Nicole, Jessica, and Kat that one reason why he had to put up Bella was because “it’s too early in the game for me to go back on my word.” Uhmmm …. does Cliff not remember that Jack, Christie, and the gang all lied to his face and blindsided him less than a week ago?

Earlier today, Cliff had a meeting with his fellow outsiders, Nicole, Jessica, and Kat. They all agreed that, for this week, it’s best just to vote out Bella because there’s no way to get the votes to save her and it’s not like Bella would show any appreciation even if they did save her. They’re right about Bella being untrustworthy and unappreciative but seriously, Jack’s a huge threat. Bella, on the other hand, is currently the least powerful person in the House. Why would you just shrug your shoulders and say, “I guess we won’t try to get rid of the biggest threat in the house?” Why wouldn’t you at least make the effort to flip a few votes. Why surrender so easily?

Cliff, Nicole, Jessica, Nick, and Kat all agreed that they have to go strong for the HoH this week if they’re going to have any hope of keeping the Six Shooters from dominating the rest of the game. Well, we’ll see. If it’s an endurance comp, that could work out well for Nicole.

Anyway, we’ll see what happens on Thursday but, for now, it looks like Bella will be voted out unanimously.
