Big Brother 21 — Veto Meeting Results

So, today, was the veto meeting and what happened will not come as a surprise to anyone. Jackson did not use the veto and, as a result, Nick and Christie are still on the block.

Holly’s target remains — for some reason — Nick. Both she and Jackson are determined to get Nick out this week and it does seem like they’ve got a pretty good chance of succeeding. Jackson is going to vote to evict Nick. Tommy, of course, will vote to evict Nick because he wants to protect Christie. After the veto meeting, Jackson told Jessica that he didn’t use the veto because he knew that, if he did, Nick was planning on putting Jessica up as a replacement. So, I imagine that Jessica will be voting for Nick, as well.

That’s three votes right there. That’s enough to evict, regardless of how Cliff and Nicole vote. And those two will undoubtedly vote with the majority, in order to protect their game.

Nick’s been campaigning but, since no one trusts Nick, it’s hard to imagine that he’ll be very effective. Instead, Nick’s survival might depend on Nicole. Nicole has figured out that Christie and Tommy have an unbreakable alliance and she has told Cliff that she would rather vote for Christie than Nick.

When last I checked, Nicole was talking to Holly and attempting to get her to see it makes more sense to keep Nick than to keep Christie. Nicole was pointing out that, if Jessica wins HoH next week, she’ll want to nominate two men and, if he isn’t voted out, Nick will probably be one of them. If Nick’s gone, Jessica’s target would probably be Jackson. Nicole’s argument is that keeping Nick around guarantees there will be a bigger target in the house than Jackson. Nicole is totally right about this but Holly doesn’t appear to be budging from her original plan.

So for now, Nick appears to be in big trouble.
