For those of you who don’t watch the live feeds, Big Brother started with a summation of the HOH endurance competition. I (guess?) that this competition was much easier for smaller builds because the women were able to last much longer than the males in this one. First one to fall was Adam with Lawon following a little while later. Third off the wall was Brendan and next was Jeff. This was not a good showing for the guys that’s for sure!
The first five who fell had to pick a snowball. One lucky snowball contained $10,000. Adam was first to pick and he was the lucky winner of getting to wear an elf suit for a week. Second to pick was Lawon and he picked a Have Not card. Next was Brandon and another Have Not Card. Jeff had a 50/50 chance at the $10,000 and he picks it. Jordan was the fifth to pick and she received a Have Not card also.
I have to stop here and comment (briefly) at how totally annoying Rachel’s voice was during this entire competition. Maybe she was doing it on purpose. I know I would have dropped off and ran into the BB house to get away from her nagging voice. Her totally one-sided cheering for first Brendan and then when he dropped, Shelly should definitely be her one-way ticket home.
There were four left on the wall…Porsche, Shelly, Kalia and Danielle. The power couples were starting to shake in their boots. When Porsche fell and they knew all their eggs were in the Shelly basket, the sweat started to bead on some foreheads. Teehee… I have to admit, it was extremely satisfying to see Kalia and Danielle as the final two on the wall after Shelly fell. Now here is where a question comes up. Should Danielle have made a deal (even though she didn’t really need one) with Kalia and let Kalia have the HOH so that she could compete next week? A lot of people think that is what she should have done. But, of course, we all know that she didn’t do that. Kalia handed Danielle the HOH win.
I have to say a word or two about Kalia. Yes, she can be annoying, but she definitely deserves credit for coming in second in the HOH competition. When Brendan/Rachel call her a floater, I have no idea what they are thinking. A floater, IMO, is someone who doesn’t try to win or influence or “play” the game. That describes Lawon and Adam, not Kalia.
So next comes the butt-kissing. There was plenty! Watching everyone kiss up to Danielle was extremely satisfying for her (I bet) and also for me! Danielle immediately told Jordan that she didn’t have to worry about being put up this week. Jordan wasn’t sure she could trust her. Jeff and Jordan met with her and made a deal that if they weren’t put up, she wouldn’t be put up next week. Now, who can you trust? They all agree, but are very cautious with each other.
Brendan and Rachel also went up to the HOH to see Danielle, but conversation was stilted and they didn’t help themselves a tad. When all was said and done, Danielle nominated Brendan and Rachel for eviction. Brendan says he will win POV and take Rachel off the block, but will he? We shall see this week. As I was saying on previous page, Dani is in HOH talking to R&B. Brendon confirmed he will use the veto on himself. Reason being, R&B feel he can get further.
Now they are trying to make a deal with Dani. Trying to get her to put up Lawon or somebody. I really don’t think Dani will do it… if she does, she might as well just leave now.

I am no fan of R&B. But one thing I will say.. if you have a deal with them, they will keep the deal. They have proved they don’t go back on their word.
But I still think Dani shouldn’t take it. If Dani wants to win.. then they need to go. And there wont be many chances to get them out.. gotta start now.

You are right Tammy… I was thinking it might be from ED if she did. But, more likely from her brother. Even though I knew Daniele got HOH, it was fun to see… she looked lovely twisting on the skies… loved the fact she was wearing a necklace to counteract her hoodie. And what a smart thing to wear, as they knew it was going to be a physical challenge.
Interesting to note the differences in J&J and B&Rs approach to Daniele… but then J&J knew she said she wouldn’t put them up.

Of course, the show had to end with Rachel and Brendon crying together…. CBS Gold Mine!
On BBAD tonight, B&R were back in the HOH room trying to convince Daniele to put up Lawon. It appears he is taking himself off the block, as of this point. I had to turn it off because I could no longer stand to look at Brendon with that pink handkerchief wrapped around his head like a gangbanger… he must have swiped it from Lawon. Speaking of Lawon, I thought that when he was talking about ‘coming out’, and telling his grandmother he preferred men, was one of those special moments that sometimes takes place on reality shows. When we get to see the real human side of an individual instead of the bs that we love to watch so much.

Not sure how I feel about the deal Brenchel put before Dani. IF they would honor if(BIG IF)it might not be that bad for her. At this point, I am more into gameplay(since we have had so little) than who I like or dislike or think is HOT! If the Vets could band together again and take the house, it might be pretty interesting. I know I was all for Dom and Dani taking over but ALL the Newbies , except MAYBE *like*Kalua, are floaters and I am SO sick of them!! Seriously, the only HGs in the house I can even tolerate right now are the vets!! Dom was my single newbie standout. And if B&R have 3 votes already…..Brendy, and JJ…..all they need are 4 and you KNOW they have Buck in their pocket!!! So Lawon…….Little Richard without the talent………would walk and we would have more drama and strong competitors in the game. But this season hasn’t been the most logical so..who knows!!

I didn’t like Dani in her season I thought she was a whiny Brat, But she is more involved with the game this season and Playing so she’s Ok with me. Why is there talk about putting up Lawon in Brendon’s place? If that happens, Rachel will stay for sure. This is how I think the votes would go:
Brendon, Jeff, Jordan, Porche, Shelly and Adam will probably vote Lawon out. (That is if J&J keep their alliance strong with R&B and the stupid newbies stick with the vets) I am not sure which way Kalia will go, but to me it looks like Rachel might stay!! If Dani really wants Rachel gone she should put up Jeff! (Not that I want that).

The bikini Daniele was wearing in the HOH room was wonderful, but did you see the one she had on in the kitchen??? Smallest bottom I have seen ever on BB or Survivor, and very colorful too… she looked marvelous… best figure on BB13!

Jeff had a funny thing to say when Adam donned his elf suit… “When I picture an elf, I don’t see a chain-smoking one!” or something close to that. Well… B&R are alone in the b/y and Brendon is bawling her out about playing to emotionally. He is giving her really good advice. I think if they had never got together, I would have liked Brendon, but the combo turns him into an idiot.
In their conversation together, they have just indicated that he will stay on the block… this is contrary to what they have been showing publicly.
Shelly and Jordan just showed up… Jordan has her make-up on, they were surprised, J says that she thinks she is next and wants to be ready… something happening at 12. Must be a big interview.

Dani is really bored and lonely without Dom. She said the house is dead without him. Also that he NEVER went into the pool or hottub….weird….and that they just stayed in the have not room talking all the time. BAD gameplay! No wonder he got booted..on top of the whole trust issue. Nive guy,funny, smart but you can’t isilate like that. You have to be more social or you are dead in the water.

Lunchtime feed bag going on in the kitchen… with lots of bustle and cooking… Daniele and Jordan chatting happily at the counter with everyone, with a little whispering going on between them. Rachel not too happy looking… gets a peck on the lips from her fiance. Jordan is going to go shave her legs… Daniele watching everyone like a hawk… now going upstairs… who will follow??? Jeff is teaching Rachel how to cook something, she says it’s gross, but has to eat it… pink… must be raw fish like sushi or something. I’m feeling inspired and may have to make a sardine sandwich… I think I have a tin somewhere… oh, maybe they’re smoked oysters. Daniele in HOH with the tiny bikini… putting on suntan lotion on… damn they cut away to Shelly cleaning a room… What the Hell!!! I’m writing a letter! I know she is going out to the b/y to sun and I have got to go do some work… LIFE IS SO UNFAIR! Wait… now Daniele is in the b/y whispering with Lawon. Now she is sunning w/ Kaila, who keeps getting in the way putting on suntan lotion. More whispering with Kaila… D says she does not like liars. I think she has recruited Lawon to their side… So voting to evict Brendon would be Jeff, Lawon and Kaila. Voting to evict Jordan would be Rachel & Porsche. So, while I think Adam would vote Brendon out, he is a student of the game and may think it’s a good time to break up J&J and deal with B&R later. But, that being said, he hasn’t shown to be really that strategic so far. Now, which way will Shelly cast her vote? I think her friendship and admiration in Jordan will sway her… I don’t think her alliance with B&R is set in stone.

My uncle owned a fencing manufacturing co in Everett, one of my uncles worked at the Hanford Nuclear Plant near Richland and my first wife was from Alki in West Seattle and I spent many a summer in and around Hood Canal… Was a lovely part of the country until, well you know what happened to the neighborhood.

Okay to smoke outside in California. I guess they don’t want to stress them out too much. They probably wouldn’t get them if they knew they would have to quit. Did you ever see Shane of Survivor about 4 years ago? He had to quit while on the show. It was painful, but funny, to watch. After about 3 weeks he went on a reward to a feast at a village where they were treated to a luau and native dancing… he found a guy who had cigs… hilarious. I’m sure PK can correct any mistakes I may have made relating the story.

I remember that Ted. I sure laughed, but also sympathized with him. Cold turkey is a hard way to go, but really it is the best thing to do if you really want to quit. It takes about three days to get the nicotine out of your body, but the urge is still there.

Yes, JT, I know you have a job to do, however I am surprised you are not watching the live feeds on a smart phone. I have alerted the Minnesota Energy Commission to be on the lookout for such activity.
Shelly is playing everyone, Double M… A lot of people don’t think she is playing the game well, but I think, and have thought all along, that she is doing it just right. Everyone thinks she is on their side and courting her favor.

Interesting about what you all say about Shelly. If she can keep up the “I’m on your side” demeanor, then she could go far but she has to win some comps. Jordan is on the block… right where she wanted to be.
JJ really have no interest in keeping R&B together. They know they need to be broken up sooner or later… and later may be too late. If Dani had put Porsche on the block next to Brendon, then JJ would have been in a tough spot. R&B would be all over them for votes.. Dani would be all over them to keep their deal.
Daniele did actually give JJ the choice of Jordan or Porsche going up. At least that’s what she said to them.. not sure what she would have actually done if JJ said to put up Porsche. That could have been a huge risk for Dani.
JJ felt strong enough that Jordan would be safe with votes from Jeff, Kalia, Shelly, Adam, & Lawon.
Now they don’t have to listen to R&B push them for votes. The only down side is that Jordan is a “pawn” .. and we all have seen what can happen to pawns. This seems about as safe as you can get though, who would really want to keep a guy in the game that has won 3 of 4 vetos? (Other than Rachel and her puppet)
What… has the mock wedding been postponed? They said they would do it Monday. Hmmm… the future doesn’t look bright if even the mock wedding gets pushed back! 😆

House tactics so far:
Brendon using on Adam and Shelly that Jord has already won BB and Jeff is not to worry since he won American Fav and $10 grand and Dani needs to go as she won $50 grand already. Rach intejects how Bren and Rach are a young couple starting out and need the money for Bren college loans and life……..ughhhhh
Alone Brandump tells Porch that Jeff won’t care if she votes out Jord and won’t get all over her. (Rach later tells Bren she doesnt trust Porch) later on Rach tells Porch to throw the next HOH to her so she can get rid of Dani because Porch and Dani have a deal that Porch is not comfortable about breaking for not ptting her up.
Brend is spending time telling Rach how to play the game after Thursday and J&J have spent little time with B&R thus far.
Shelly has assured Jord her vote, so has Adam, Lawson and K, so looks like Brend is seeing Julie Thursday, but this is BB and who knows what will happen.

@Betty, after I took my kids to see Jaws, my son wouldn’t eat shark so I just told him it was halibut. 🙂 He was too young to know the difference but that movie really made him afraid of the ocean. I took them to the beach a lot and it took awhile to get him back in. Me, I love the ocean and spent every minute I could starting at 12. Not so much anymore. Racho’s dress is made from what looks like white trash bags. Not a bad job actually. Strapless and she has a silver metallic bikini under it and they made trim for the dress out of tin foil. the brides gown of white with silver and fold was held together with tape, her “tiara” kept slipping down and her flowers were a bit of a disappointment, the groom wore black tails, with a huge buttionaire (spelling) his tux was trimmed in silver, the ring bearer was an elf, down to his shoes, the flower girl (kalia) tossed flower petals and danielle was using a wand to blow bubbles with thru the ceremony, jeff\the best man was quite dapper in his suit jacket with a pimp fedora hat, maid of horror oops sorry meant honor was porsche who looked quite nice in a rose/mauve long dress, bridesmaid jordan wore a pink dress looked beautiful, lawon officated at the ceremoney helped along by the wedding planner Buck, Laswon wore his official clerical HOH robe, rings were exchanged, song was for he/shes a jolly good fellow, beer and champagne was served the newly weds left soon after for their honeymoon suite, jeff caught garder and jordan the boquet. as the clock ticks down, brachel are now throwing Jordo under the bus for Brendummy to stay in the game.
Last night Adam was talking to the cameras alone while everyone was sleeping and seems he is voting to evict Brendummy, his only worry now is rachel winning HOH this week and her retaliation to him for voting to boot Brendummy.
So seems for Brendummy to go is Adam, Jeff, Lawson and K, Shelly is still wavering and Porch is likely to boot Brendummy as she gets closer friendship with Dani.
Looks like Brendummy voting is going to be 6 to go and 1 to stay which will destroy Rachel into a blubbering idiot if that happens!

Nevermind, I forgot that the BB rule book was rewritten last year to provide them a clear route to final 2. Too bad they were the only ones to receive the memo about said changes. They crack me up claiming how good at the game they are. Neither came close last year and it’s looking like a repeat of the same this year. Hope they enjoyed the “Trashy Wedding” last night as that will be the only wedding CBS will cover the tab on.
Moving on to a few of the others in the house. Does Kalia ever shut the hell up? She can talk for hours and never actually say anything that has any meaning. Perhaps she should look into becoming a politician. Adam has come to life in his role of “Cruddy the Elf”. Bring on more elf suits AG it seems to have livened things up a bit. Lawon gave a pretty good performance as the “Trashy Preacher” during the wedding. I was having flashbacks to “Coming to America”. I’ve been gone a lot and haven’t been able to post, but have been keeping up with what everyone has had to say. My question (coincidentally the same question I had last season) is why do the drunken stripper and Mr. Personality cry foul, feel it’s poor game play, or that they have been back stabbed when someone uses their own tactics against them? Nevermind, I forgot that the BB rule book was changed last year to allow them a free run to final 2. Unfortunately for them they appear to be the only ones to get that memo. While they are great competitors, the other facets of their game are seriously lacking, and is why they were sent packing last year and are on the same course this year. What happened to the promise not to campaign against Jordan? I thought their word was golden and they never went back on a promise.

Betty what about the other people that wore hoodys? Kalia n Jeff and I think Jordan did too. I heard them talking about if it was endurance they would know by production telling them to wear sports clothing. And Dani was freezing in an indurance comp in season 8. When Marcellas and Amy were nominated by Jason, Marcellas won the competition. Seeming to believe that he had an agreement with HouseGuest Danielle, Marcellas chose not to use the veto on himself, to spare Jason having to choose between Lisa and Danielle to replace him. However, Danielle did in fact vote to evict Marcellas, making it a 1-1 tie that was broken by HoH Jason who also voted to evict Marcellas, telling him he “should have used the veto”

JL, you are correct. Dani did a shout out to Shelly’s family in her HOH blog. Rachel didn’t believe her because the rules say they can’t shout out for other HGs (Rachel’s version of it). Rachel went up to HOH and confronted Dani on it in a VERY CATTY way… and of course Dani wasn’t having any of that. It blew up a bit from there. Then Rachel ended up crying and running to the DR… talking about leaving the show. Brendon & Jeff calmed her down a bit.
