There are fireworks in August and the aftermath has created a huge cloud of doubt, despair, mistrust and paranoia in the Big Brother House! Does anyone feel safe? Maybe Jeff, and that’s only due to his being HOH! Everyone else is worried about either being booted out the back door, being deceived by someone they’ve considered a “friend” or ….wait for it….being lied to! Oh the horror! You’ve known them, for, like, FOREVER, how could they lie to you!
I have to laugh sometimes at the utter “shock” BB Houseguests display toward one another when at first they practice to deceive. It’s okay for them to lie, because, well…they have a good reason. But everyone else must be honest, because after all, they have no reason to lie to “me.” Really? I can think of 500 thousand reasons to lie, cheat, sneak & scheme in the BB house and they all have to in order to survive week to week!
It appears that Jeff’s plan is stronger than ever to back door Russell this week and Russell not only suspects, he’s positive that’s the case. I sort of feel sorry for him these days. And last night, Natalie & Kevin were already talking about secretly backing out of their final 4 deal with Jeff & Jordan by putting up Jeff & Michele for eviction should one of them win HOH. The sudden “friendship” between Natalie & Jordan is baffling and laced with saccharin, and honestly, I think Natalie is doing a great job manipulating Jordan. Although when they were talking about their boyfriends and “first times” I have to admit that I threw up in my mouth a little.
So last night after all the pool playing, shark diving conversations, shuttlecock tossing, how Jeff hates morning people, Jordan’s boob job (!) and prescription diet pills (who knew?) and Russell’s sealed fate, the Houseguests will have to wait until the POV ceremony to really know what will happen, and it’s already making Russell want to “pull a Chima-like” move if he is forced to exit the BB House. But I won’t underestimate Russell. He’s still got some life in his game and he could turn it around if he quits pouting! And I think Jeff would be smart to keep him around, yet sending him out the door would shake up the jury house – and that move could go against Jeff.
In yesterday’s blog we mentioned that Natalie & Kevin are on the nomination block. And that Kevin is not so happy about it. Well…the POV was played yesterday and all the Houseguests were allowed to participate. And who won? *** SPOILER*** Jeff not only has HOH, but he won the POV. And that could open up a ton of possibilities for surprise evictions, apologies, and down right begging by the other Houseguests. Not to mention the possibility of some new & improved alliances. The shifts in the house change minute to minute, and until the ceremonies are actually held, we never really know what will happen!
This is your game, America, and several of you have accurately predicted many outcomes with wonderful twists, ideas and concepts! In your expert opinion, where do the Houseguests go from here? Will they fight each other with the “Have-Not” Churros? Could we be in for another melt down, a la, Chima? Will Russell and Jeff kiss & make up and continue with their original plan to go to the Final 4 together and later fight it out? Will Jordan continue to trust that Natalie is being truthful? Or will we see Michele slide right on through while the focus is on the stronger players? Things that make you go hmmmm.

I just want to say I want Russell to stay in the game. Jeff needs to question himself if he is listening to Jordan. He knows better than anyone that the bulb is dim.
As much as I hate to I have to give it to Nat. Who wouldn’t know if you can control Jordan you’re in with Jeff.
I would like someone to put up Jeff if Russell goes home. Don’t get me wrong I still like Jeff, I just want him to wake up!, and stop being a fool for his past/current enemies. Then Jordan will say Oh, I thought they were on our side. Maybe were pawns.

Nat has always been annoying. I’m starting to put Jordan next in line, because I think, she thinks she’s playing the game by having an opinion. All the people I know think Jordan and Jeff are so cute as a couple. Being on a game show is one thing, living with someone who is that dumb (excuse me challenged) the rest of your life is another. I say this only because when I’m around people like that I feel as if I’m losing brain cells.

I’ve seen several “show-mances” that were stronger than J & J’s. Most of them didn’t last past the show. Jeff and Jordan will not be a couple outside the BB house. It’s fine while in that house, but you can see it on both of their faces that there is no real future there.

Now that we are beginning to get disgruntled with J & J, there is no one-else in the house we can befriend but Russell.
Russell really tries to do the right thing and he still thinks the world is honest and fair. I actually prefer that over some of the other HGs who still live enmeshed in their own self-serving indulgence and entitlement
Jordan has to be one of the most intellectually challenged person I have seen in a long time. Why are men so attracted to that ignorance even though she dolls-it-up with big boobs? What does that say about Jeff and his game?

kinogirl, Natalie thinks she is a great poker player. I wrote a couple weeks ago that I would love to sit at a table with her in a casino. I don’t think she realizes how many “tells” she has (looking away, scratching her chin, nervous laugh, etc). I watched that poker game on BB/AD the other night. When Russ was raising big, I was screaming at Nat to call… “He’s obviously bluffing!!”. She’s not as good as she thinks and doesn’t take losing very well, whether it’s pool, chess, poker, or… Big Brother.

I’m reserving judgment for now, but if Jeff uses the veto, I am washing my hands of him for good. I’ve supported him because he exhibited a special kind of honor, as evidenced by his loyalty to those who were loyal to him. The only honorable people I saw in the house were Jeff, Jordon, Russell and Casey (Braden and Laura were gone before I saw enough to form an opinion). Casey was a bit flippant, Jordon is way over on the ditzy scale, and Russell’s main talent is his ability to intimidate. As a result, my support went to Gentleman Jeff.
But now, Jeff is rapidly negating all the positives I thought I saw in him. He sat around with Russell and discussed things they would do after BB, and now he’s willing to stab him in the back? Russell has never done anything to hurt Jeff’s game, and now Jeff is going to remove Russell from the game? I’m sorry, but I see Jeff as only now revealing how dishonorable he can be. Jordon supports him in it! Consequently, my allegiance is now totally with Russell.
And if Jeff sends Russell home, I’ll have no further use for BB11. It will make no difference to me who wins or what nefarious means they use to get to the end. I won’t bother tuning in any longer.
So if Russell goes and I’m suddenly no longer around, it’s just because I’ve found something else to wast my energies over. (When does Amazing Race start again?)

I am also a fan of Jeff.. I think he is hilarious! He was real quiet @ first so I didn’t pay him much attention but the moment he called Lydia “Mrs. Roper” during the veto Hahaha!! I”m still laughing @ that and now notice alot of his small comments.. he really does try to keep the peace with joking. He’s winning a spot with me. Even if he gets rid of the bulldog.. I mean Russell. I believe Jeff can weather the storms and make it through.. for Gnat(who’s game play I also enjoy) and Kevin to make good on getting him out they have to WIN first. justaguy, I’m certain that Russell would put Natalie up, with a pawn, and an agreement that the votes would be 2-0 to send her home. He’d probably use Jeff or Jordon as the Pawn (if necessary, flipping them if they POV were used), to guarantee at least one vote against Natalie. He would control the decision if Michele were to renege, but there’s really no way she could do that without going out next. That way, Russell has kept all his promises, gotten to the F4 exactly how he envisioned it. He creates no enemies and the only potential flaw would be if Natalie somehow got the PoV (not bloody likely!).
Then, he can’t play for HOH, and he knows that Jeff or Jordon will block Michele and him, and Michele would (he would hope) block Jeff and him. So he knows it will come down to the PoV.
I would be shocked if he gave in to the temptation to get Jeff out before Natalie. The only thing he would have to gain would be an edge in the PoV the following week (he’ll be on the block regardless of who wins HoH), but I think he’s confident enough in his competitive equality with Jeff, and he would not seek a slight edge at the expense of his honor.

Justaguy… I’m pretty sure the reference to which you refer was the TV show “The Odd Couple” starring Tony Randall & Jack Klugman, titled “My Strife in Court” which first aired February 16, 1973, which showed Tony Randall’s character, Felix, writing on the chalkboard to illustrate a point and circling the letters in “Assume.” I’m almost positive I’m WAY older than you, and that was my favorite show “back in the day” and a classic episode at that! My memory is a blessing and a curse.
Now back to our regularly scheduled debate on which houseguest will make it to the Final 2 and which move is best for Jeff!!! =^^=

They are all being nice still.. It is making me sick to sit here and watch Gnat eat that Rootbeer float.. Who makes them in a bowl anyway.. Back in black baby and who are here but two of my favorite people, Kim Mitchell and justaguy. No Kim, my Windows 1888 didn’t break down (it’s actually working great tonight, hope posting doesn’t cause lockup), but I did handicapping and wrote for like 16 hours this weekend for the first weekend of college football for an endeavour and bet and watched some soccer and baseball Fri-Sun. Had a lot of stuff around apt. I cleaned too and BBAD has been pretty boring so I justbeen chillin like a villian on penicllin.

I don’t post often but I’ve been thinking about this for awhile and thought i would throw it out there and see what other’s thought.
Is Jordan as stupid as we think? where did her accent go when she confronted russ out in the back yard. Also if she is so poor to have to share a room with her mom then where did she get the money for her boobs? why would someone that poor spend that kind of money of boobs? and if so, why? Oh and in her hoh letter from her mom that she “read” where it said they moved to a new house, how do we know it said “Jordan you will have your own room”, she could have just added that in to cover. We nor anyone else that i saw read the letter. She is also supposed to be so religious and sticking to only kissing if Jeff took her to Hawaii? Especially after her talk with Nat about their first’s , not such an angel. Just saying that I didn’t think anyone could be that stupid. So I even went back and watched some shows over. I don’t think she is who she is pretending to be. Also when they show Jordan in the DR she sounds as if she is reading a script.
As for Nat. why hasn’t anyone caught on to her age? she has said many things since Jess left that anyone with any sense would catch on or at least wonder. one was what was stated earlier about her playing poker the week before she came to the BB house and won 70K. (or her drinking and everyone believing BB would allow it) . She did say in the first show that she was a poker player as well as a Olympic winner. I went back and watched the episode to remind me of what everyone said when they got chosen. Just saying she has said enough now that someone should pick up on it, if there was any brains left in the house.
I am a j/j fan from the beginning but i still have picked up on certain things. I also wonder if Jeff is as dumb as he is playing. Come on, you would have to be pretty stupid not to figure out what Michele’s job is. I think Jeff over did it with the lego comment playing dumb.
I also believe BB is playing us big on the j/j romance by just showing certain clips during the weekly show’s. At one time I thought there was something really there between them by the way Jeff would look at Jordan, especially when she would be stupid about something. but now I’m wondering if either are as dumb as they appear?
As for Russ, I doubt anyone would get to mad in the jury if he was back doored. He did have an alliance with almost, if not everyone, in the house at one time or another. It would just be good game play to get him out now.
I guess because i have no life and watch BB all the time, even over and over again or going back and watching the first half when bord has made me have these questions. Has anyone else picked up on these?

I really think she (Jordan) is that dumb and he (Jeff) isn’t. And what is dumb anyway the context of the BB House? You can win by lying to everyone (Dr. Will), being mean and yelling (Evel Dick) or justfloating and playing nice (Dan). But I think most bloggers here are spot on in seeing that Jordan’s dumbess won’t likely carry her to the end of this Game and her dumbness may be a liability for Jeff in the long run as he is her partner.

Hey Roller, I feel your pain that if Jeff does backdoor Russell, the show and ending won’t be as good but you’re really going to justbail? Russell thinks Jeff’s best move is to get rid of himself and Michele so don’t let it freak you out if it does happen. I don’t want it to happen either and think th best thing is to stick to their F4 agreement (JJRM) and THEN fight it out. Dig your honor part. That’s one thing Casey did have. That and a lot of yellow.
I felt if Jeff and Jordan and Michele were voted out after Casey, Braden and Lauara that watching a BB11 with Jessie, Lydia, Kevin, Chima, Russell, Ronnie and Natalie down the stretch would have been grounds for not watching and possible Showtime cancelation but apparently The Power That Be (bulwinkle) got to Les Moonves who got to Alison Grodner who got to Julie Chen who got to Julie Chen’s Baby who suggested the whole America’s Vote thing and saved the season.
I’d say it’s justashow, but I know how you’re feeling as I almost got to this point in BB8 and this season. It will seem Jeff will derserve to lose should he back-door Russ and then have Natalie or Kevin win HoH. Like someone wrote above, Jeff really needs Michele to win HoH next week either way. And in the end, I’d like to see Jeff, Michele and Russell battle it out. Then it would be anyone’s Game. (Except For The Jury Factor, Despise Russ and Michele?)

Also beg to differ with the notion Daniele (BB8) rose under her dad’s (Evel Dick) coat-tails. Homegirl tied Janelle’s Big Brother record by winning 2 HoH competions and 5 PoV’s. She was probably 5-6, 105 pounds soaking wet and she kicked ass in the physical competitions, always won when she had to, and fought the bad math (5-2) of the evil Late Night Crew (LNC). And Jen also despised Daniele so that 6 instant enemies for no reason except her was in the Game and he chose to model his Game after Genghis Khan (God I miss that guy, ED).
So Daniele was hamstrung by everything in the Game and also the emotions brought on having to try and repair the relationship with her estranged father on national TV. That couldn’t have been easy. But to win a BB record-tying 7 comps and take 2nd place and $50,000? Girl had Game in the end and deserves more credit and spot in all-time BB greats (Dr. Will, Mike Boogie, Janelle, ED, Kaysar.) Sorry Bunky.

Has anyone considered what Nat and Kevin will do and say if Jeff does not back door Russell at this time? Everthing j/j have told them will come out, and Jeff will lose Russell’s alliance anyway.Then Russell will have his open season ticket on Jeff and Jordon..There will be caos in the house no matter what he does at this point, so I think he is right on the money for b/dooring Russell. Been away for the weekend and really appreciate reading all the updates. I haven’t watched afterdark for 2 nights. Going into withdrawals. For anyone who questions Jordan, I understand questioning the boob job if you have no money but I have often wondered if BB paid for them if you agreed to pay back from your stipend. Sorry, but I think they figure it keeps people watching if they are built that way. Of course they would have the opportunity to turn it down but do you honestly think they would??? I never saw her when she didn’t have her accent and I think I would call her more naive than stupid. Pretty fine line between the two but that’s just my opinion. I just have a hard time believing they are dumb enough to believe Natalie about anything. They all believe that Kevin has been such a stalwart and honest person and I totally disagree with that one. He’s just good at making believe he is. And the GNAT is just that. A stupid bug that just keeps hovering around driving you crazy. I can’t believe they are buying her stupid stories. Nevertheless, (and Kim, I guess this is to address your thoughts, as well), I could never bear to watch if Natalie or Kevin were to win, even so much as 2nd place. If Jeff back-doors Russell, such an outcome becomes a very real possibility, and I have to avert my eyes from such a calamity. (Hyperbole is the greatest thing ever!!!!)
I realize that there is a half-mil at stake, but sometimes in life there are more important things than money. The interpersonal relationships are the real reason I watch–they don’t even show us the competitions live, and in the end the 500K is play money as far as I’m concerned. I like to see the HGs develop friendships that persist beyond the show (is there a place we can go to find out what’s happened to those hookups after the show? Are Dan and Memphis still buddies? Have April and Ollie forgotten all about each other? Has Keisha spent some time in New Orleans with Renny? Those questions hold more interest for me than who won the 500K.)

I totally agree with all that Roller, but you gotta put youself in their shoes. They are playing a game and I doubt $500k is play money to them.

I think it would be a game ending move to not backdoor russell! It ruined ronnie and it will ruin jeff and jordan if he is no kicked out!

Still, the bottom line is how I will spend my time–and I’m not the least bit interested in watching Natalie, Kevin, Jordon, or Michelle win the grand prize money. If Jeff backdoors Russell, he takes both Russell and himself out of the running, unless he wins every competition (except, of course, the next HoH, which he can’t play) from here on out.
