Big Brother 22 — Week 3 Veto Ceremony Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 24, 2020

Hi, everyone!

They held the veto meeting earlier today and do you really need me to tell you what Cody did with the veto? To the surprise of no one, he did not use it. Therefore, Tyler’s nominations stand and Janelle will probably be going home on Thursday.

Janelle is still out there campaigning though. After the veto meeting, she approached Tyler and told him that, if she does stay in the House, she’ll always have a big target on her back and that people will be so busy trying to get rid of her that they won’t even think about trying to get rid of Tyler. Janelle has a point but I don’t think it’s going to make much difference.

(Tyler doesn’t get a vote this week but Janelle feels that the House will vote however Tyler tells them to.)

Earlier today, Janelle and Kaysar had a pretty long conversation about what they’re going to do for the rest of the week. Kaysar said that he doesn’t care if he goes home this week and that he’s not planning on doing any campaigning at all. He and Janelle agreed that Janelle would have a better shot of winning HoH and surviving next week than he would. At times, it sounded like Kaysar was close to saying that he would rather be voted out than Janelle. However, I don’t think Kaysar is going to ask to be voted out and I really don’t think that Janelle would let him. Right now, I think Kaysar is just frustrated with how the season’s been going. For all of his planning and strategizing, he’s pretty much powerless against a bunch of players for whom he has little respect. He did say that, if he survives, he’ll probably try to ally himself with Tyler and Cody.

As for the rest of the House, Nicole F. is still paranoid that Janelle is somehow going to return to the game after getting voted out. When last I checked, she was complaining to Kevin and Christmas that Janelle will simply not stop talking about her behind her back. From what I’ve seen, Nicole appears to be far obsessed with Janelle than Janelle is with Nicole.

So, on Thursday, Janelle will probably go home and I imagine Kaysar will be the next HG to be targeted, followed by Da’Vonne and Bayliegh. A lot can happen, of course. But, at some point, someone from the other side of the House is going to have to step up and win HoH or else Cody, Tyler, and Memphis are going to pretty much dominate the entire season.

Big Brother 22 — Janelle and Kaysar Prepare For The Future

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 23, 2020

Hi everyone!

Well, there’s really not a lot going on in the House. Now that Cody has the veto and everyone knows that he’s not going to be using it, almost everyone in the House, except for Janelle and Kaysar, seem to be prepared to just sit back and wait until Thursday.

Janelle and Kaysar know that Cody is not going to use the veto and they also know that Janelle is the target. They’ve spent most of last night and today talking about both their friendship and their plans for the future. It’s actually been kind of sweet to watch. Janelle even apologized to Kaysar for making him a target by agreeing to be on All-Stars with him and Kaysar said that whatever happens is worth it because it’s given the two of them a chance to reconnect and to see each other again.

As for the future, Janelle has said that she will be campaigning to stay but she will not be saying a word against Kaysar. Janelle knows that she’s probably going to be voted out but, unlike some other houseguests (like a certain Nicole Anthony), she’s not planning on spending the week whining about it. She’s going to get out there and make a case for herself and try to convince people to keep her.

Kaysar has said that, if Janelle is evicted, he’ll be fighting to avenge her. Janelle told Kaysar that he should lay low but only after making Nicole F. a have-not. Janelle wants Kaysar to say, “This is from Janelle,” when he makes Nicole F. a have-not, which should make for good television.

The other big event in the House is that Christmas received her safety suite punishment. She has to take care of “Star Baby,” which is a star-shaped pillow that cries and occasionally demands to be told a story. Christmas has to carry Star Baby with her everywhere. Star Baby is cute but kind of annoying. However, Christmas is enjoying her punishment because she knows it’ll mean more screentime for her on the show.

And that is what’s going on in the House right now. The veto meeting is tomorrow!

Big Brother 22 — Week 3 Veto Comp Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 22, 2020

Hi, everyone!

So, they did the veto comp today. The players were Tyler, Janelle, Kaysar, Cody, Bayleigh, and Memphis. This was basically a veto that Janelle had to win if she wanted to avoid getting voted out on Thursday and I honestly thought she would pull it off because Janelle has a pretty good record of winning vetoes when she needed them.

However, that’s not what happened today.

The veto was won by Cody. Tyler apparently came in second.

Except the nominations to remain the same.

Things are not looking good for Janelle right now. Will this lead to her finally just going off on everyone in the House? Nicole F. is convinced that Janelle is going to be coming after her. When I last checked the feeds, she was crying to Christmas about it.

We’ll see what happens. Hopefully, Janelle will not go quietly.

Big Brother 22 — Week 3 Nominations

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 21, 2020

Judging by how long the feeds were down, the nomination ceremony apparently took forever to film but the end result was pretty much what everyone was expecting.

Tyler nominated Kaysar and Janelle for eviction. Kaysar did talk to Tyler before the nomination ceremony and assured Tyler that neither he nor Janelle had ever been planning on targeting him. Tyler thanked him for that and then said that he wished he had formed an alliance with Kaysar and that he did hope that Kaysar would survive the week. So, I guess Janelle is the target.

As for the Safety Suite, it was won by Enzo. Enzo named Christmas as his +1. Since neither Enzo nor Christmas were at any risk of being nominated, I assume that Enzo just played to make sure that no one else won safety. Christmas, meanwhile, is going to have to wear some sort of punishment costume and she’s been telling everyone how excited she is about it because it’ll mean more screentime for her.

*sigh*

Anyway, either Janelle or Kaysar is going home this week. Right now, the target appears to be Janelle but if she comes down, the target switches over to Kaysar,

Hopefully, some sort of unexpected twist will be unleashed on the House or else this is going to be a very predictable week.

Big Brother 22 — Week 2 Evictions

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 20, 2020

WARNING: If you haven’t seen Thursday’s episode of Big Brother yet, this is a spoiler. Read on at your own risk!

Tonight, a very strange week in Big Brother history came to an end. David went from being the target to being almost an afterthought as the House came together to evict Nicole A.

Kevin voted to evict David, which was expected.

Enzoe also voted to evict David, which was not expected. Enzo has been telling everyone that he would be voting to evict Nicole A. so I’m guessing his vote was a way to create some drama and paranoia in the House. It’ll be interesting to see who he tries to blame for that vote.

In the end, by a vote of 10-2, Nicole A. was evicted from the Big Brother House. On the plus side, she did tell Julie that she had finally realized that Janelle was not trying to get evicted. On the negative side, Julie told her all of the details about Cody’s alliance, which can only mean that there’s not going to be a returning pre-jury player this season.

As for the HoH comp, Tyler won. Ian came close to winning but, in the end, Tyler pulled off a victory. Who is Tyler going to nominate for eviction? Probably Janelle and Kaysar. The two of them are basically alone in the House and I don’t think Tyler’s going to want to ruffle any feathers this early in the game. Janelle and Kaysar are an easy duo to target.

But you never know! Nicole F. is convinced that one of the first four evictees is going to get a chance to reenter the House and she’s worried that if Janelle is one of them, America will vote Janelle back in. We know that’s not going to happen but the HGs think that it might. Tyler might decide to go after a lesser target this week, just in case. We’ll see what happens!

For now, though, Tyler is HoH and nominations will be announced tomorrow!

Hi, everyone!

So, before we go any further, allow me to offer up my standard warning, just in case this is the first time you’ve ever dropped by the site. At the Big Brother Blog, we assume that everyone is, in one way or another, following the feeds. So, this post is written under the assumption that the people reading this already know what happened as far as the veto comp is concerned.

If you do not know what happened with the veto comp or who is currently on the block, this post counts as a spoiler. If you don’t want to know until after tonight’s episode, stop reading, bookmark the page, and then come back later tonight. We’ll be here!

Now, for the rest of us, it’s time to open up the diary room for week 2!

It’s time for you to vote! Who do you vote to evict from the House?

Do you vote for….

DAVID, the all-star who wasn’t sure how the veto comp actually worked

or

NICOLE ANTHONY, the all-star who keeps threatening to call a house meeting so she can declare vengeance on the only person trying to keep her in the House?

Vote either in the poll over on the right side of the page or in the comments below! And then be sure to watch Big Brother on Thursday to see who will be voted out and who will become the next HoH!

Happy voting,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 22 — Has A House Meeting Ever Done Any Good?

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 18, 2020

Hi, everyone!

So, serious question time: In the entire history of Big Brother, has there ever been a House meeting that has not totally backfired on the person who called it?

Seriously, I can’t think of a single one. I imagine that it may have worked early on in the show but, for the past few seasons, every house meeting has led to the person who called it ruining their game. Whenever someone calls a house meeting, it leads to the other houseguests assuming that person is either playing too hard or that they can’t be trusted. If you’re on the block and you call a house meeting, you’re pretty much sealing your fate.

Nicole A. is on the block right now and she’s figured out that there’s a good chance that she’s going to voted out on Thursday.

So, guess what Nicole A. wants to do?

SHE WANTS TO CALL A HOUSE MEETING!

I mean, for a supposed superfan, Nicole A. is remarkably bad at this game.

Technically, she’s been telling Kevin and Nicole F. that she’s only thinking about calling a house meeting either on Wednesday or Thursday. If she calls one, it will be so that she can reveal Janelle and Kaysar’s alliance and let everyone know that Janelle is secretly responsible for all of the drama in the House.

Of course, what’s funny about this is that everyone already knows that Janelle and Kaysar have an alliance so it’s not as if Nicole A.’s going to be exposing a secret or anything. Add to that, Janelle has nothing to do with Nicole A. being on the block. Janelle has been trying to convince people to vote out David and keep Nicole A. But, because Nicole A. has been getting her information from both Kevin and Franzel — who hate Janelle and basically blame her for everything — Nicole A. is convinced that Janelle is actually plotting to get her voted out of the House!

How clueless can you be? And how bad is Nicole A. going to feel when she finally sees the footage from this season and discovers that Janelle’s been trying to save her?

In other news, we have a new alliance and they have a name! The Slick Six formed last night and they are made up of: Da’vonne, Bayleigh, Enzo,Cody, Dani, and Tyler. Is this a real alliance or — like so many of the other alliances that have been made over the past two weeks — will this be abandoned over the next few hours? We’ll see!

So, we may have a house meeting to look forward to. And we may have an alliance called the Slick Six. The one thing that we can say for sure is that someone will be leaving the house on Thursday!

Big Brother 22 — Week 2 Veto Meeting Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 17, 2020

Hi, everyone!

Just a quick update to let y’all know that they had the week 2 veto meeting this afternoon and Memphis did NOT use the power of veto.

As a result, the nominations remain the same. Either David or Nicole A. are going to go home on Thursday and, as of right now, it appears that it will be Nicole A.

How did this happen? I’m still asking myself that question. Nicole A. went up as a pawn but now, suddenly, everyone is talking about getting rid of her. I guess some of it is because no one views David as being a threat. A lot of it, though, is that Nicole A. is terrible at this game and very few people feel that she can be trusted. She attempted to do the wishy washy thing that paid off for her during Season 22 but the end result is that no one is quite sure where her head is at.

(Another factor is that Nicole A. co-hosts a reality tv podcast with a guy who has apparently said some very obnoxious things about some of the all-stars. Nicole A. talks about her podcast and co-host a lot and I think a lot of the HGs are sick of hearing about it.)

From the minute that Nicole Anthony has been nominated, Janelle and Kaysar have been trying to convince people to keep her in the House. However, Nicole A. is convinced that Janelle is lying about wanting to keep her and now, she’s promising everyone else that if they vote to keep her, she will help them take Janelle out of the game. It’s amazing to watch. I mean, Nicole A. was not a particularly smart player during her previous season but nothing — NOTHING! — could prepare me for how clueless she has turned out to be this season.

When last I checked, she was talking to Nicole Franzel, trying to win her vote. Nicole F. said that she had heard that Nicole A. and Janelle were trying to convince Memphis to backdoor her. Nicole A. said that was all Janelle and that if Nicole F. wants to call a house meeting and blow up Janelle’s game, Nicole A. would support her.

NICOLE ANTHONY, SWEETIE — JANELLE’S THE ONLY PERSON IN THE HOUSE NOT TRYING TO GET YOU VOTED OUT!

As of right now, it appears that David is going to survive and Memphis’s HoH is going to be a wasted one.

We’ll see if things change between now and Thursday,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 22 — Where Things Stand

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 16, 2020

Hi, everyone!

First off, as I’m sure we’ve all heard by now, they did finally compete for the veto last night. Despite the fact that Memphis was upset about how late the veto was being played and kept complaining that he would be too tired to do a good job, he still ended up winning the veto.

So, Memphis is now both HoH and the veto holder. What does this mean for the House? There’s a lot of people who would like Memphis to use the veto. No one really views David or Nicole A. as being huge threats. Nicole F. would like for Memphis to use the veto and put Janelle up as a replacement. Janelle and Kaysar would like for Memphis to use the veto and put up Nicole F. (Nicole F. and Janelle absolutely hate each other.) Memphis, however, has told just about everyone who has approached him that he doesn’t believe in backdooring anyone during the second week of the game.

So, the nominations are probably going to remain the same. David was Memphis’s target but now it seems like the pawn might go home instead. Nicole F. cannot stand Nicole A. and, earlier today, she told Dani that she would rather keep David around because David is better at comps and seems like he would be a more useful alliance member than Nicole A. Dani agreed.

(However, Nicole F.’s annoyance with Nicole A. has more to do with the fact that Nicole A. co-hosts a podcast and Nicole F. feels that she was insulted by Nicole A.’s co-host. Also, Nicole F. has said that it’s strange having two Nicoles in the house. If you haven’t picked up on it yet, Nicole F. is kind of petty.)

Nicole A. is aware that people are talking about voting her out. Unfortunately, she’s also been getting her information from Kevin who is clueless. Kevin is convinced that there’s a huge alliance that’s being led by Janelle and he told Nicole A. that Janelle is the one who is plotting to get rid of her. Actually, Janelle wants to keep Nicole A. in the house and has been working with Kaysar to come up with a strategy to keep her around. However, due to Kevin being paranoid, Nicole A. is now convinced that Janelle is her enemy and is even planning on calling out Janelle on eviction night!

Of course, Nicole A.’s real problem is that she was only put up as a pawn and the House, right now, cannot stand the person who put her up. Memphis has made it clear that David is his target. However, as we saw on tonight’s show, Memphis has been such an arrogant HoH that no one wants to give Memphis a victory. In fact, the only thing that the House seems to agree on is that everyone wants to vote out Memphis as soon as possible. So, what better way to knock Memphis down a peg or two than to vote out the pawn and keep his target?

So, it’s a messy house right now. The veto ceremony is tomorrow and I imagine Memphis will not use the veto. I do think that the vote could still go either way but right now, it’s looking like there’s a good chance that the pawn could be going home on Thursday. Nicole A. is going to have to get out there and campaign and, most important, she’s going to have to stop listening to Kevin.

Big Brother — Where’s The Update For Saturday!?

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 16, 2020

Hi, everyone!

Well, I kept holding off on doing an update for today because I wanted to wait until after the veto comp so I could tell you who had won the power and if they were going to use it to take either David or Nicole A. off the block.

However, as I sit here writing this, it is nearly midnight my time and they haven’t even started the competition yet! Not even the people in the House seem to know when the veto is going to start, though they’ve all been wondering what’s taking so long. The delay could have something to do with the heat in California. If it’s a big physical comp, production may be waiting until late at night, when it will presumably be cooler.

Whenever the veto comp does happen, here’s who will be playing: Memphis, David, Nicole A, Ian, Tyler, and Nicole F.

No one is particularly happy with Memphis’s nominations but I don’t know if any of the veto players — except for the nominees — would change them. Nicole F. might because she really wants Janelle out of the House but Memphis earlier told Cody that he doesn’t view either Kaysar or Janelle as being a threat because, in his opinion, Kaysar and Janelle have no other allies in the House. Memphis would be more likely to Kevin up as a replacement nominee than Janelle.

Would Tyler use the veto? Tyler was not happy with Memphis for nominating David and he apparently didn’t like Memphis’s nomination speech. (I believe that Memphis told David something like, “Welcome to the grown-up’s table.”) But Tyler is also not the type of player to make waves unless he absolutely has to. I kind of have the same feeling about Ian. He may not like Memphis but I doubt he’s going to use the veto.

So, in other words, it’s pretty much going to come down to Nicole A. and David. If they want to get off the block, they need to win that veto.

Now, it’s just a question of when exactly they’re going to play for that veto!
