Big Brother 21 — Tonight’s Double Eviction Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on September 5, 2019

Hi y’all!

Obviously, if you haven’t seen the double eviction episode yet, this is a going to be a spoiler so read no further if you’re spoiler-adverse.

Anyway, tonight was one of the best double eviction episodes ever! For once, the person who I wanted to win HoH won HoH. The people who I wanted to be nominated were nominated. The person who I wanted to win the veto won the veto. And finally, the person who I wanted to see evicted was evicted!

Things went like this:

To the surprise of no one, Jessica was voted out by a vote of 4-0.

The HoH comp was won by …. NICOLE! That’s right! Nicole finally won something. The HoH comp was one of those things where you had to put something together and then knock it into a net and score a goal. The first person to score would win. Nicole was the first person to score a goal and really, it wasn’t even close. I don’t think anyone else had even finished the puzzle part of the comp when Nicole won HoH.

Nicole promptly nominated Christie and Tommy for eviction. This was Tommy’s first time to evicted and Christie’s …. well, I lose track. Anyway, Christie cried.

The veto was one of those comps where the HGs had to answer true or false about whether or not the evicted HGs had said a certain phrase. Christie came close to winning the veto but she got the very last question wrong. However, Cliff got it right and won the veto, which he declined to use.

The vote was, once again, unanimous. By a vote of 3-0, Christie was evicted from the house.

So, right now, Nicole is HoH but that won’t last long. A new HoH will be selected either tonight or tomorrow in a comp that will be hosted by Bayleigh and Chris from last season. With Christie gone, Tommy is now everyone’s target so whether or not he survives will probably depend on whether or not he wins HoH.

P.S. No jury battleback this season! No one’s returning from the jury house.

It’s time to open up the diary room and allow you to let us know who you would like to see go to the jury this week!

We know that Thursday is going to be a double eviction. We don’t know who the second pair of nominees will be but we do know who will be the first pair.

So, who do you vote to evict?

Do you vote for….

JESSICA, the model who was all about girl power

or

CLIFF, the engineer who is all about fossil power?

Cast your vote in the comments below or in the poll that we’ve got going over in the Big Brother Blog Facebook Group!

And then be sure to watch Thursday’s episode to see which two houseguests will be joining the jury!

Happy voting,

Big Brother 21 — The Hard Sell

by Lisa Marie Bowman on September 3, 2019

Hi y’all!

Well, it may or may not work but Jessica, Christie, and Tommy are certainly trying their hardest to convince Jackson, Holly, and Nicole that Cliff is the bigger threat. All they really have to do is convince Nicole or Holly to switch their vote and Cliff’s gone. And really, I’m not sure if Cliff realizes that he could go to the jury this week. I wouldn’t say that seems to be cocky but I do think he’s taking it a little bit too much for granted that Jackson isn’t going to change his mind.

When I last checked, Jessica was trying to sell Nicole on voting out Cliff. Jessica’s argument was that, if Nicole’s going to win, she needs to build up a resume and voting to get out Cliff would give her something to tell the jury about when they asked her what big moves she had made. Jessica is also arguing that if Jessica goes, that will increase the chances of Nicole being nominated by the next HoH. (What they don’t know, of course, is that Thursday is going to be a double eviction.) Jessica is basically saying, “As long as you keep me around, there will always be a bigger target in the House than you.” That’s not a bad argument but, at the same time, Cliff and Nicole have been loyal to each other for so long that it’s hard for me to imagine Nicole turning on him. As is usually the case with Nicole, it all probably depends on what the HoH wants to do on Thursday.

Here’s Cliff’s problem. Neither Jackson nor Holly think that they can beat Cliff in a final two situation. At the same time, they also think that Jessica is some sort of mental comp master and they’re afraid that if Jessica wins the next HoH, she’ll target the two of them. Tommy and Christie have been assuring Jackson that Jessica is not that good at competitions and they’ve been using her performance on the wall to make their case.

So, as a Cliff fan, I’m a bit worried this week. It’s not that I think Jackson is going to change his mind as much as I think that Cliff needs to get in there and do some campaigning, just in case. Cliff’s already been voted out once so he should know better than to get relaxed in the house.

Right now, I still think Jessica will be the first to leave on Thursday but a lot can happen in two days.

Big Brother 21 — Week 10 Veto Meeting Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on September 2, 2019

Hi, y’all! I hope everyone had a good and safe Labor Day. I was away from the feeds for most of the day but, from what I’ve seen since I got back home, here’s what I can tell you:

The veto meeting was held today. Tommy used the veto on Christie, saving her for a second time. So now, there’s no doubt in the house that Tommy’s ultimate loyalty is always going to be Christie. They really should have figured that out a while ago but these aren’t exactly the sharpest folks ever to play Big Brother.

Just as he said he would do, Jackson put Cliff up as a replacement. Now, as of right now, it does appear that Jackson is still planning on targeting Jessica. He told Holly that, if the vote’s a tie, he will definitely cast the tie-breaking vote to send Jessica to the jury house. And yet, it’s always hard to say for sure with Jackson. I mean, just a few weeks ago, he was determined to get rid of Christie and then suddenly, he turned around and went after Analyse and Nick instead. Somewhat ominously, Jackson and Holly were just talking about how difficult it would be to beat Cliff in a final two situation. Fortunately, they don’t seem to think Cliff will make it to the final two because he’s so bad at challenges that they both feel they’ll be able to get rid of him any time that they want to.

(Interestingly, Jackson is convinced that he can beat both Tommy and Christie in a final two situation. Holly’s not so sure.)

For her part, Christie wants to get Cliff out of the house and she wants to form a new alliance with Jessica. She’s been coaching Jessica on how to campaign to stay. Christie’s plan is for Jessica to tell Jackson that, if she wins HoH, Jessica will nominate Christie and Tommy for eviction. Of course, the actual plan is for Jessica to win HoH and then nominate Holly and Jackson. But, since Jessica has been talking nonstop about how she doesn’t want to nominate any women for eviction, it’s hard to believe that Jackson would buy that Jessica has suddenly decided to target Christie.

Things could change but, as of right now, it sounds like Jessica will be leaving the House on Thursday.

Big Brother 21 — Uncomfortable Times In The House

by Lisa Marie Bowman on September 1, 2019

Hi y’all!

So, the last day or so has been extremely awkward and uncomfortable in the House. It’s not just the fact that Tommy has the veto and he’s going to use it on Christie and then Cliff is going to go up on the block. Instead, it’s that Jackson and Holly had a huge argument last night, one that was deeply uncomfortable to watch.

Basically, Holly got mad at Jackson because he revealed his personal nickname for a part of her anatomy. So, during the veto comp, Holly apparently called Jackson an “asshole.” This led to Jackson freaking out because, according to him, America is going to see her call him that and, even worse, his mom is going to see her call him that and then everyone’s going to think that Jackson’s not a nice person.

Uhmmm …. sorry, Jackson. I think most of America made up its mind about during the first few weeks of the season.

Anyway, the fight went on and on for hours and it was extremely uncomfortable to watch because Jackson would not stop going on and on about how much she had hurt him and Holly would not stop taking the blame. Occasionally, she did suggest that he was overreacting but she always quickly followed up by apologizing for making him overreact. Holly kept saying that the only reason they were fighting was because of the stress of being in the house while Jackson kept saying that it would be even worse on the outside because — thanks to Holly — America hates him now.

As uncomfortable as it was for us to watch it, we at least had the option of muting the sound or just turning off the feeds. The other houseguests weren’t so lucky. They’re locked in the House so there was no way for them to escape all of the Holly/Jackson relationship drama. Nicole compared it to having to listen to her parents fight.

However, as of this writing, it appears that the fight has resolved itself. Holly has taken all the blame and has begged Jackson to forgive her. Jackson, in a very condescending tone of voice, replied, “You will always have my respect.” And now, they’re in love again.

Seriously, someone needs to do an intervention on Holly because I’ve never seen anyone so willing to be a doormat.

Anyway, veto meeting is tomorrow and Tommy is probably going to save Christie. Cliff should be going up in her place but, for now, Jessica remains the target.

Big Brother 21 — Veto Winner

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 31, 2019

Hi y’all!

This is just a quick post to let you know that they just finished up the veto competition. It was the one where they trash the house while looking for hidden vetos. Jackson, Cliff, Nicole, Tommy, Jess, and Christie all competed in the comp and the winner was —

TOMMY!

That’s right, Tommy won the veto. Jackson is convinced that Tommy is going to keep the nominations the same because Christie already knows that Jess is the target this week but I think that might be wishful thinking on his part. Christie is so paranoid that I doubt she’d be okay with telling her closest ally to just leave her on the block.

That said, Tommy has been concerned about people thinking that he’s too close to Christie and he has to know how it will look if he twice uses the veto to save Christie. So, I could imagine a scenario where Tommy takes a risk and leaves Christie up there. It could happen but I’ll be surprised if it does.

If Christie does come down, Cliff is going to go up in her place. Cliff knows this but, as of right now, he doesn’t seem to be in any danger of going home. Nicole and Holly are both onboard with voting for Jessica so, even if Christie and Tommy voted for Cliff, Jackson would just break the tie and he’s made it clear that he wants Jessica out.

Still, a lot of pawns have been voted out this season. Just as Analyse and Kat. The veto ceremony is on Monday so Tommy has a whole day and a half to figure out what he’s going to do.

Big Brother 21 — Week 10 Nominations

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 30, 2019

Hi y’all!

Today, I come to you with a quick lesson! This is something that I learned today: assume nothing.

See, I assumed when Jackson nominated Christie and Jessica for eviction that Christie was the ultimate target and all the talk that Jackson was doing about Jessica being a big threat was largely being done to keep Christie from freaking out.

It turns out that I was totally wrong. It turns out that Jackson and Holly are targeting Jessica for eviction because they consider her to be a bigger threat than Christie. Apparently, they think there’s a bigger risk of Jessica winning HoH than Christie doing so. And Jessica has said that she doesn’t want to nominate any girls if she wins HoH, which means that she would probably end up targeting Jackson if she ever won HoH. So, I can kinda get why Jackson’s might be worried about keeping Jessica in the House for too long. But, at the same time, Christie has also said that she would have targeted Jackson if she had won HoH last night and, unlike Jessica, Christie is a part of a power duo.

So, to sum up, it makes little sense for Jackson to target Jessica but. for now, that’s what he is doing.

Of course, with the double eviction coming up, Thursday would be the perfect time for the houseguests to get rid of both Christie and Tommy but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Everyone in the House seems to like Tommy so much that they haven’t even considered how difficult it would be to beat him in a final two situation. And Christie has somehow managed to convince everyone that she’s not a threat.

Anyway, for now, your nominees are Christie and Jessica.

Veto’s tomorrow! We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 21 — And your new HoH is….

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 29, 2019

Hi, y’all!

So, I was totally expecting that tonight’s eviction would turn out to be a prank and Julie would announce that they were instead starting the week over but no, that didn’t happen. Instead, despite Nicole’s best efforts to change Holly’s mind and get her to target Christie, Nick was voted out unanimously. In the end, even Nicole went along with the rest of the House and voted for Nick.

And so, Christie survived another week.

As for the HoH comp, it was an endurance comp and it lasted about an hour. It was one of those things where the HGs had stand on a wall and hang on while the wall was tilted forward and back. When the comp started, I was sure that Jackson would be one of the first to fall because the wall comp tends to favor people of a small stature. This really did seem like it was either Nicole or Tommy’s comp to win. In fact, Nicole has been talking about how much she’s been looking forward to the wall comp since she first entered the House.

So, that means Jackson is now HoH and Holly doesn’t even have to find a new bed for the upcoming week. Who will Jackson nominate? Holly is obviously not going to go up. I think Nicole and Cliff are probably safe, unless Jackson decides to use one as a pawn. Jackson and Tommy appeared to be whispering to each other before Tommy fell so it’s possible they made some sort of deal. So, if I had to guess, I would say that Christie and Jessica are going to go up on the block. We’ll find out for sure tomorrow!

Well, Nicole did manage to hold on for a long time. And so did Tommy. And, surprisingly, so did Jackson. Jessica fell first and proceeded to spend the rest of the comp talking about how close she had come to dying while standing on the wall for 20 minutes. Cliff fell 20 minutes later and was immediately followed by Christie. Nicole was looking strong for almost the entire competition but eventually, she did end up falling. After I saw Nicole fall, I was resigned to Tommy winning the comp but, to my surprise, Tommy actually fell off before Jackson.

Finally — next week, we finally have a double eviction! Personally, my hope is that both Christie and Tommy go home on the same night but who knows? We’ll see what happens!

It’s Time To Open Up The Diary Room For Week 9

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 28, 2019

Alright, it’s that time again!

It’s once again time open up the diary room and let you, the readers, have your say about who you want to see voted out on Thursday.

Do you vote for….

CHRISTIE, who thinks she has the universe on her side

or

NICK, who thinks he has the other houseguests on his side?

Cast your vote in the comments below or in the nifty little poll that we have going in the Big Brother Blog Facebook Group! And then be sure to watch on Thursday to see who will be sent to the jury (assuming the eviction isn’t canceled because of prank week) and who will be the next HoH!

Happy voting!

Big Brother 21 — The Campaign Continues

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 27, 2019

Hi y’all!

So, Nick seems to know that he’s probably going to be voted out on Thursday but he hasn’t surrendered. He’s still out there, trying to campaign and trying to figure out how to get the HGs to evict Christie instead of him. He knows that he’s not going to get the votes of either Tommy or Jessica. So, his plan now is to try to change Jackson and Holly’s mind while Nicole tries to win over Cliff.

Can he pull it off?

I’m not sure. A huge part of his plan is convincing Jackson to vote to keep him and that’ll mean convincing Holly to switch targets. Jackson and Holly both seem pretty determined to vote out Nick but, last week at this time, they were equally determined to vote out Christie. Why Holly and Jackson are suddenly so determined to keep Christie around is beyond me.

Christie is not doing herself any favors, as usual. Earlier today, she was telling Tommy that, as far as she’s concerned, her loyalty to Jackson and Holly ends after this week and, if she wins the next HoH, she’s going to target them. This is the exact same thing that Nick and Nicole have been trying to convince Holly that Christie is planning on doing. If Christie tells someone who can’t keep a secret (like Jessica) then I could see Holly changing her mind.

If all else fails, Nick has come up with a scenario that could save him. Earlier tonight, he was telling Nicole that he’s convinced that, since this is prank week, no one is going to go home on Thursday. I could actually see this happening, as there’s no jury battleback this season and we also haven’t had a double eviction yet. So, a canceled eviction would give Big Brother an excuse to do a double eviction next week.

So, who knows? Right now, barring some sort of huge twist, I see Nick going to the jury house on Thursday.

Tomorrow’s show will feature Zingbot, so we can see the zings that caused the house to have a meltdown. As I said before, if these people are that thin-skinned over Zingbot, I hope they don’t check twitter after getting out of the house!
