Big Brother 21 — Veto Meeting Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 26, 2019

So, today, was the veto meeting and what happened will not come as a surprise to anyone. Jackson did not use the veto and, as a result, Nick and Christie are still on the block.

Holly’s target remains — for some reason — Nick. Both she and Jackson are determined to get Nick out this week and it does seem like they’ve got a pretty good chance of succeeding. Jackson is going to vote to evict Nick. Tommy, of course, will vote to evict Nick because he wants to protect Christie. After the veto meeting, Jackson told Jessica that he didn’t use the veto because he knew that, if he did, Nick was planning on putting Jessica up as a replacement. So, I imagine that Jessica will be voting for Nick, as well.

That’s three votes right there. That’s enough to evict, regardless of how Cliff and Nicole vote. And those two will undoubtedly vote with the majority, in order to protect their game.

Nick’s been campaigning but, since no one trusts Nick, it’s hard to imagine that he’ll be very effective. Instead, Nick’s survival might depend on Nicole. Nicole has figured out that Christie and Tommy have an unbreakable alliance and she has told Cliff that she would rather vote for Christie than Nick.

When last I checked, Nicole was talking to Holly and attempting to get her to see it makes more sense to keep Nick than to keep Christie. Nicole was pointing out that, if Jessica wins HoH next week, she’ll want to nominate two men and, if he isn’t voted out, Nick will probably be one of them. If Nick’s gone, Jessica’s target would probably be Jackson. Nicole’s argument is that keeping Nick around guarantees there will be a bigger target in the house than Jackson. Nicole is totally right about this but Holly doesn’t appear to be budging from her original plan.

So for now, Nick appears to be in big trouble.

Big Brother 21 — Prankster Revealed

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 25, 2019

Hi, y’all!

So, here’s the current situation.

Holly is HoH.

Nick is America’s prankster. Originally, he was keeping this a secret but, for some reason, he told Tommy after the veto and now the entire house knows.

Nick is on the block, thanks to Holly.

Christie is on the block, thanks to Nick.

However, Jackson has won the veto and he could potentially use it to save one of those two from eviction.

Of course, he won’t. Both yesterday and today, Jackson told both Nick and Christie that he would not be using the veto to save either one of them. He told Nick that he couldn’t use the veto because he has to respect the HoH’s wishes. Meanwhile, he told Christie that he can’t use the veto because, if he did, Nick would be the one who picked the replacement nominee. And that might interfere with Jackson’s number one goal: getting rid of Nick.

Of course, last week and for several weeks before that, Jackson’s main goal was to get rid of Christie. But now, suddenly, both he and Holly are obsessed with voting out Nick and seem to be totally okay with Christie sticking around the house. I’ve already talked about all of theories that allege that production manipulating the houseguests into keeping Christie over Analyse and it’s not something that I want to harp on but seriously, it’s very strange how things have suddenly changed in the house.

In other news, some of the houseguests are literally melting down over what Zingbot said to them yesterday. Holly is so upset about being called old that she went to the diary room to complain. Christie is upset that Zingbot accused her of chewing loudly and is convinced that this means everyone in America is making fun of the way she chews. Zingbot called Tommy an “attention whore” and Tommy is freaking out about why it would say that. Meanwhile, Jackson is especially upset that Zingbot said he wasn’t likable. Earlier today, Jackson listed all of the things that he’s done in the House in an effort to come across as being likable. (Among the things that Jackson did — he started wearing a shirt more often and he specifically stopped talking about working out all the time, all to get us to like him more.) If these people are that thin-skinned about Zingbot, I worry about what’s going to happen when they leave the house and see what people have been saying about them on social media.

Anyway, the veto meeting is tomorrow! Unless something really major happens between now and Monday afternoon, I don’t expect the veto to be used. It looks like Nick might be in some serious trouble this week.

We’ll see what happens, as always.

Big Brother 21 — Week 9 Veto Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 24, 2019

Hi, everyone!

The feeds were down for quite a while today because they were having the Zingbot veto comp and that always takes forever. According to Andy Herren from BB15, when Zingbot comes to the House, the actor inside of Zingbot doesn’t actually say anything. Instead, he just waves his arms around while his “zings” are read over the loudspeaker and then the Houseguests are instructed to jump up and down and pretend like Zingbot just zinged them. Zingbot’s voice is then added in post production.

From what I can tell, it appears that the zings went as follows:

Christie was zinged for her chewing.

Jackson was zinged for being a “pompous douchebag.”

Holly was zinged for being old.

Cliff was zinged for being overweight.

Jessica was zinged for being boring.

Nicole was zinged for being a loser (?) and not having any friends outside of the House (?).

(Yeah, I don’t get those two zings.)

I’m not sure what Nick and Tommy got zinged with.

As for the veto comp itself, Jackson won. (According to Christie, she allowed Jackson to win it in order to show Holly how loyal she is.) When last I checked, Jackson was telling Nick that he wasn’t planning on using the veto on anyone. We’ll find out whether or not Jackson’s telling the truth about that on Monday!

Big Brother 21 — Week 9 Nominations

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 23, 2019

Hi y’all!

It’s a strange day in the Big Brother House. They just finished up the nomination ceremony about an hour ago. Holly nominated Nick for eviction and then it was announced that America’s Prankster had nominated Christie for eviction.

What’s weird is that, even before they knew for sure that the prankster would be nominating someone, Holly was talking about nominating both Nick and Christie for eviction, with Nick as the target and Christie as the pawn that nobody would mind losing. So the prankster just did what Holly would have done anyway.

As for who the prankster is …. well, it’s Nick. Nick won the role, mostly because a lot of the fans on twitter thought that Nick would nominate either Christie or Jackson for eviction. Of course, Nick assumed that he won because America loves him. After he found out, he went up to one of the cameras and thanked America.

Now, personally, when everyone was being called to diary room and being told whether or not they had won the prankster power, I was pretty sure that I saw Nick kind of nod at Cliff when he (Nick) kinda stepped out of the diary room. So, I was pretty certain that Nick was signaling to Cliff that he had the power. However, if that was the case, then Cliff is a really good actor because he’s been telling everyone in the House that he doesn’t know who has the power though he “thinks” it might be Nick.

Nick, for his part, has spent most of today lying to the other houseguests and telling them that he’s not the prankster. When last I checked, he was even having a long conversation with Nicole about all the possible scenarios about what the prankster might do if Christie wins the veto. What’s weird is that I thought it would be obvious to everyone that Nick was the prankster because Nick is currently the person with the most reasons to go after Christie.

But no! Instead, Holly and Jackson are convinced that Nick is not the prankster because they think that, if he had won the power, Nick would have nominated Jackson! So, now, Jackson and Holly have both decided that Nicole must be the prankster, which means that Nicole is going to have a target on her back as a result of this twist.

(Seriously, I really hope this twist doesn’t lead to Nicole being voted out because everyone thinks she did something that she didn’t.)

Meanwhile, Holly is freaking out because when she voted to evict Analyse, she heard the audience gasp. She’s convinced that the audience gasped because they were shocked Holly would vote out her friend. (Actually, the audience was upset and/or shocked because they thought Christie was going to be evicted.) So now, Holly is totally freaking out about whether or not America hates her.

Finally, we have confirmation that Tommy and Christie did hear the guy with the megaphone yelling, “TOMMY AND CHRISTIE KNOW EACH OTHER!” They were whispering about it last night. Apparently, Christie went to the diary room and talked to production about it. They assured her that extra security had been added to prevent anything like that happening again. Tommy also said that he was apparently on the verge of voting Christie out after the megaphone incident but then someone in the diary room told him that none of the other houseguests had understood what the megaphone man said.

Speaking of the Diary Room, Nick also mentioned something today about how the Diary Room told him about the existence of the Six Shooters. Apparently, he said something about how Jack, Jackson, Analyse, Holly, Christie, and Tommy were like an alliance of six and the person in the diary room said, “You mean the Six Shooters?” This, of course, was before Nick actually knew that the six of them had given their new alliance that name.

In other words, the Diary Room has been a very active place this season.

The veto’s tomorrow. Zingbot will be visiting the house! Who do you think will get the most upset over being zinged? I’m going to guess it’ll be a tie between Jackson and Christie.

We’ll find out tomorrow!

Big Brother 21 — About Tonight

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 22, 2019

I’m just as shocked as anyone.

Seriously, anyone who watched the live feeds from Friday morning to Wednesday afternoon would have been totally justified in believing that Christie was going home. Jackson couldn’t stop talking about how much he was looking forward to getting rid of her. Everyone was agreeing that she had to go. As opposed to the way it was edited to look on Thursday’s show, her attempt to blow up Nick’s game on Tuesday was actually a huge mess that left everyone saying that they were eager to get rid of her.

And yet, somehow, Christie has survived another week. Jackson decided that he’d rather get rid of Analyse and even said that, if there was a tie, he would break it by sending Analyse out of the house. So, as a result, only Nick voted to keep Analyse. Everyone else voted to evict her and Analyse is now off to the jury house.

Was Jackson really motivated to change his mind by the fact that Analyse couldn’t definitely tell him who she was planning on putting on the block if she won HoH? That’s what he’s been saying.

But still, it feels very strange and, as always, there’s a lot of conspiracy theories floating around out there. On twitter, a lot of people are convinced that the Diary Room may have influenced Jackson to target Analyse. We do know that someone in the Diary Room told Jackson to tone down his earlier behavior because he’s let it slip a few times while talking to Holly that the viewers were offended by some of the things he said during the first few weeks of the game. So, we do know that Jackson can be influenced by production and I would assume that the show’s producers would rather keep drama-causing Christie in the house over a boring player like Analyse.

Who knows? Please don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that’s what happened because I have no way of knowing for sure. It could just be that Christie really did get lucky and everyone spontaneously decided that they needed to keep her around so she could go after Nick. Or maybe the universe really does want Christie in the house. Who knows?

Well, regardless of how it happened, Christie survived. And Holly is the new HoH! Who is Holly going to nominate? Well, that’s an interesting question. Nick seems like an obvious target, now. And Jessica’s been getting on a lot of people’s nerves. However, this is Prank Week which means there’s a twist!

And that twist is a big one. Basically, the viewers get to vote for one player (other than Holly) to be America’s Prankster. Holly will have to split her HoH power with America’s Prankster. That means that Holly will only get to make one nomination and the other will be made by the Prankster. The Prankster’s identity will also remain a secret.

How will this effect the game? Well, it depends on who wins the role. To be honest, though, I wouldn’t want to be the Prankster. Everyone’s going to be super paranoid once the twist is revealed and my main fear is that, as happens so often with twists like this, the rest of the house will accuse the wrong person of being the prankster and that person will be voted out as a result.

We’ll see what happens. Nominations are tomorrow!

Hi y’all!

So, obviously, if you don’t know what happened with the veto or if you haven’t seen tonight’s episode, the post below is going to be a spoiler. So, read on at your own risk.

So, last night, Christie went through with her plan to call out Nick while all of the houseguests were eating dinner and …. well, it didn’t quite go the way that Christie was expecting. Christie basically called out Nick for playing all sides of the House and she accused him of throwing comps and having deals with everyone. Nick, for his part, didn’t really deny anything. Instead, he called out Christie for every duplicitous thing that she had done in the House and, unlike Nick, Christie denied that she had ever lied or plotted to stab anyone in the back.

That was a huge mistake on Christie’s part because everyone knows that both she and Nick have lied and made multiple deals. Christie thought she was blowing up Nick’s game but instead, she was just telling everyone what they already knew. In fact, Christie went on and on for so long that Nicole, Cliff, and even Analyse ended up feeling sorry for Nick and now they’re all talking about forming a new alliance with him. Even Tommy is now saying that he’ll probably vote to Christie because she’s just too unstable to be a consistent ally.

So, things are looking pretty bad for Christie right now.

So, with Thursday approaching, it’s now time for us to open up the Diary Room here at the Big Brother Blog! Who do you vote to evict? Do you vote for….

CHRISTIE, the self-styled mastermind who has manifested victory

or

ANALYSE, who probably doesn’t know what manifest means?

Cast your vote in the comments below or over in the poll that we’ve got going in the Big Brother Blog Facebook Group! (Here’s the link to that poll.)

And then be sure to watch on Thursday to see who will be the next member of the jury and who will be the next HoH!

Happy voting,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 21 — Tuesday Notes

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 20, 2019

Hi, y’all!

Last night, the Big Brother House had a megaphone incident. Someone outside the house shouted, “TOMMY AND CHRISTIE KNOW EACH OTHER!” Cliff, Nicole, Tommy, and Analyse were in the backyard at the time. They know someone yelled something but I don’t think they understood what was said. (Whenever anyone in the House starts to mention the incident, the feeds automatically cut away.) Either way, it doesn’t seem to have made much difference as far as anyone’s plans in the House are concerned.

It seems like this happens every season, of course. During the early seasons, fans would fly banner planes over the BB House and, more recently, people have tried to throw messages over the wall or else they’ve gone for the megaphone approach. It never really works because the Big Brother House is specifically set up to make it difficult to hear what’s happening on the outside. Even when the houseguests are in the backyard, they’re still essentially in a studio. There have been a few times when someone’s shouted a message and the houseguests have understood what they were saying. (During BB19, I’m pretty sure that Paul heard someone yelling, “America hates Paul!”) But usually, the message comes out garbled.

Even if this season’s houseguests did hear the message, it would make much difference. Everyone’s already planning on voting for Christie on Thursday.

Christie has promised that she’s going to blow up Nick’s game before she leaves, probably while the houseguests are having dinner. She spent the first part of today feeling sorry for herself. She and Analyse spent a few hours going over every single event that happened in the House, with Christie eventually deciding that everything would be different if they hadn’t voted out Ovi during week one. For her part, Analyse keeps looking at the cameras and asking America to send her a special power that will allow both her and Christie to stay in the House.

That said, Christie did finally manage to find the strength to go talk to Jackson, telling him that Nick is the biggest threat in the House and that, after this week, Analyse will probably work with him and come after Holly and Jackson. Christie went on to say that if she somehow stays in the House, she will only be going after Nick and nobody else.

And Christie also just told Jackson that, tonight, she is going to blow up Nick’s game during dinner! So, we’ve got some drama to look forward to!

We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 21 — Week 8 Veto Meeting Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 19, 2019

Hi y’all!

So, this isn’t going to come as a shock to anyone. They held the veto meeting and …. JACKSON DID NOT USE THE VETO.

Yeah, like I said — no big shock. Despite Christie’s firm claim that the universe did not intend for either her or Analyse to go to the jury this week, Jackson did not use the veto and Christie is still probably going to jury.

I’ve been away from the feeds for most of today (sorry, Mondays always keep me extremely busy) but, from what I’ve seen since I got home, it doesn’t appear that either Christie or Analyse is taking Jackson’s decision very well. I guess maybe they actually thought that Christie had talked him into going after Nicole instead. They’re both pretty upset about the veto not being used and, even though Christie insists that she’s not bitter, it’s pretty obvious that she is.

Analyse has declared Jackson to be her main enemy in the House. She was telling Tommy that, if she does win HoH, she’s definitely going to nominate Holly and Jackson. She also says that her plan is to tell them they’re safe and then “blindside him just like he did to me!” What Analyse doesn’t seem to get is that she’s not being blindsided. She was put up as a pawn and she’s still a pawn. Being a pawn sucks but it’s not quite the same, at least in Big Brother terms, as being blindsided.

Knowing that she’s going to be voted out on Thursday, Christie has apparently decided that she’s going to spend the rest of her time in the House blowing up Nick’s game. She told both Tommy and Analyse that Nick has been playing both sides of the House (which he has) and that her main goal is now to set things up so that Nick will follow her out the door. Nick, realizing that Christie’s mad at him, talked to her earlier today and basically said that he hadn’t betrayed her and that he felt really guilty about not winning the HoH or the veto. He also swore that he has only thrown one comp in the house. Christie, for her part, didn’t seem to believe a word that he was saying. Nick seems to be really panicked that Christie might reveal him to be a liar but I don’t know how much difference it would make if she did. Everyone in the House already knows better than to trust Nick.

Speaking of Nick, he’s still obsessed with getting Jessica out of the House. It sounds like Nicole and Cliff are also starting to get to the point where they also no longer feel safe in Jessica. As Nicole put it, Jessica always seems like she’s on the verge of exploding, which makes her a dangerous person to keep around.

So, we’ve got two more days until Thursday and there’s enough angry people in the house that it seems like we should get at least a little drama out of the next 48 hours.

We’ll see what happens!

Big Brother 21 — Sunday News

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 18, 2019

Hi y’all!

So, as of right now, Christie knows that she’s the target and that she’s probably going to jury on Thursday. Her only hope is to convince Jackson to either take her off the block or to switch the target to Analyse.

About an hour ago, she had a meeting with Jackson and Holly and she attempted to do just that. She made a number of arguments. She argued that Nicole is actually a bigger threat than her and argued that, if Nicole makes it to the final two, there’s no one in the House that can beat her. Christie went on to point out that, as long as she’s in the House, people will always be too busy targeting her to come after Jackson. She also said that “America would flip out” if the remaining members of the Six Shooter got back together and took over the House. America, Christie told him, loves a “good comeback story.”

Jackson replied that he respected Christie as a player but also said that he had to do whatever was best for his game.

So, in other words, I don’t expect Jackson to use the veto tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Nick is already making plans for what he’s going to do if he wins HoH and it appears that his big plan right now is to take out Jess. Interestingly, he told Cliff that he would not nominate Jackson for eviction because Jackson didn’t nominate him this week. Both Cliff and Analyse agreed with Nick that Jessica should be the next to go, because she creates too much drama in the House and doesn’t know when to stop talking.

So, as of right now, it appears that Christie is going to the jury and Jessica could very well be joining her the following week.

The veto meeting is tomorrow! We’ll see what happens!

Big Brother 21 — Week 8 Veto Comp Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 17, 2019

Hi, everyone!

So, today was the veto competition. The veto players were Jackson, Analyse, Cliff, Christie, Holly, and Nick. It sounds like Christie drew houseguest’s choice and picked Nick to be her player. I’m not sure why she would pick Nick rather than Tommy but we’ll find out for sure on Tuesday night.

Anyway, the feeds have just come back from the veto comp and we have a winner….

JACKSON!

Now, to be honest, I never thought I’d see so many people online happy about Jackson winning a competition but there is indeed much rejoicing on twitter. Jackson is not going to change his own nominations and that means that Christie will remain on the block and will probably be sent to the jury house on Thursday.

Interestingly enough, Christie seems to be handling being on the block far better than Analyse. Analyse has been whining ever since the nomination ceremony and just generally getting on everyone’s nerves. She’s also currently upset with Nick because Holly apparently told her that Nick threw the HoH comp. Analyse and Christie even confronted him about it before today’s veto comp and Nick denied throwing anything and he said he was getting a little bit tired of constantly being doubted.

For the record, Nick did start out with a pretty sizable lead during the HoH comp. I thought he was going to win but he did noticeably slow down about halway through the comp. I don’t know if he just got tired or if he decided to throw the HoH. With Nick, it’s hard to say.

So, that’s it for now. Christie and Analyse are on the block, Jackson has the veto, and Christie is probably going to jury on Thursday.
