Big Brother 21 — Week 8 Nominations

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 16, 2019

Hi y’all!

So, today was the day that Jackson, as the new HoH, made his nominations and they’re not really that surprising. On the block, Jackson has put:

Christie

and

Anaylse

Now, obviously, Christie is Jackson’s target, though he’s also said that he’s okay with, in the event that Christie or Tommy wins the veto, the idea of Analyse going to jury.. I am a little bit confused as to why Jackson nominated Analyse instead of Tommy. If he really wants to get rid of Christie, I would think he’d want to put Tommy on the block with her because, otherwise, it’s guaranteed that, if Tommy does win the veto, he’ll use it on Christie.

Obviously, neither Christie nor Analyse are happy about having been nominated, though neither one of them has had the full blown meltdown that many BB watchers were expecting them to have. Instead, they both seem to believe that Holly is responsible for getting them nominated because, apparently, she’s jealous of how close Christie and Analyse are. (This isn’t true. Jackson’s been gunning for Christie ever since the week that Sam was evicted.) I was just listening in on Christie and Analyse’s post-nomination conversation and Christie says that she thinks they’ll both survive this week because “the universe” always works in her favor. Analyse then looked up at the camera and asked America to send her and Christie a special power.

(Like another field trip?)

In other news, Jackson and Holly now want to form a 4-person alliance with Nicole and Cliff. Personally, I think that would be a good idea for all four of them. 6 person alliances are usually doomed to failure because it’s hard to keep everyone on the same page. It’s a lot easier when there’s only four. And speaking of alliances, Jessica is still complaining about having been left out of Nick’s proposed 6-person alliance.

So, to summarize, it’s Christie and Analyse on the block, with Christie was the target. The veto comp is tomorrow!

Big Brother 21 — What Happened Tonight

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 15, 2019

Hi y’all!

So, obviously, if you haven’t seen tonight’s eviction episode yet, everything below is going to count as a spoiler. So, if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t keep reading.

Once again, we went into tonight’s vote with a lot of uncertainty in the air. This was because Nicole, feeling guilty about Jessica being excluded from the proposed Alliance of Six, went to Jessica and told her what Nick had proposed. Jessica was so upset over not being included that, instead of being smart and trying to figure out a way to replace Analyse in the new alliance, she instead went to Kat and told her what was going on. Kat then confronted Cliff and basically got extremely self-righteous about Cliff making a deal to save his life in the game.

Jessica, wanting to blow up the new alliance, proposed to Jackson and Holly that they all team up and vote to keep Kat. Jackson and Holly were open to it but only if they could also get Nicole on board. So, Nicole found herself as the deciding vote. If she agreed to vote to evict Cliff then a new alliance would be formed with her, Jessica, Jackson, Holly, and Kat. If she voted to evict Kat, that would mean that she would be siding with Nick’s new 6-person alliance.

Not surprisingly, Nicole spent a while acting indecisive and then stuck with the original plan. For all of her talk about wanting to change the game, Nicole never has the courage to actually take a big risk. As a result, everyone but Jessica ended up voting to evict Kat. And, so, Kat is now at the jury house with Jack.

After Kat left, it was time for the HoH competition. Jackson obviously went into the competition knowing that he had to win or he would be the next target. It was the slip and slide competition and, despite a strong effort from Nick, Jackson won it rather easily.

So, Jackson is the new HoH and that means that neither he nor Holly will be going on the block this week. I imagine that Christie, Tommy, and Nick will be targeted this week. It’s just a question of which of three will be nominated at the ceremony tomorrow and who will be held in reserve as a replacement nominee after the veto.

We’ll see what happens!

It’s Time To Open Up The Diary Room For Week 7!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 14, 2019

*sigh*

Well, this is just going to be a sad eviction. I like Cliff. I like Kat. I would rather neither of them leave, though I’d ultimately vote to evict Cliff because I think Kat’s the more interesting player.

But let’s be honest.

We all know that Christie should be going this week. America voted to put her on the block. As we all saw tonight, she did a terrible job at the veto comp. The only reason that Tommy saved her is because Tommy knows her outside of the House, a fact that allowed both he and Christie to enter the house with an unfair advantage.

But, unfortunately, the reality is what it is. Christie is safe and either Cliff or Kat will be joining Jack in the Jury House tomorrow.

It sucks, it really does.

So, let’s open up the diary room. Who do you vote to evict? Do you vote for….

CLIFF, the lovable Texas

or

KAT, the lovable girl from Cloud 9

or

CHRISTIE, who really should still be on the block even if she’s off?

Seriously, I’m tossing out the rules because this is so unfair. If you want to vote for Christie or anyone other than the two people on the block, go ahead!

Cast you vote in the comments below or in the poll that we’ve got going on over in Big Brother Blog Facebook Group! (Click here to go straight to the poll!)

And then be sure to watch tomorrow night to see who will be the next member of the jury and who will become the next HoH!

Happy voting,

Lisa

P.S. I vote for Christie!

Hi y’all!

So, judging by all the cuddling that’s been going on over the past few days (and especially last night), it would appear that we may have a new showmance in the House. Nick and Analyse may very well now be a couple!

Of course, just three weeks ago, Nick was crying about how much he loved Bella. And Jack’s only been gone for about four days but I guess things move quickly when you’re stuck in a house with a group of people and you literally have nothing else to do. After apparently watching Nick and Analyse spend last night cuddling, Bella has posted on twitter that she and Nick are officially broken up but that she might be willing to talk to him after the show. (Translation: “We’re broken up unless he leaves the House with $500,000.”) Jack, meanwhile, is at the Jury House and presumably doesn’t have a clue.

That’ll probably change come Thursday, when Kat will be joining him and will undoubtedly have some stories to tell. As of right now, it appears that Kat’s going to be the one evicted on Thursday. Even she has said that, while she’s not going to stop campaigning, she now knows that she’s probably going. Cliff apparently hurt his leg during the veto comp and, for the past few days, he’s really been playing it up. As a result, no one things Cliff is a threat to win the next HoH whereas everyone is worried about what Kat might do if she stays and wins.

Right now, Jackson and Holly seem to be almost everyone’s target for next week’s double eviction. Nick, who has convinced himself that he’s a puppet master, has especially been pushing for a new six-member alliance, made up of himself, Analyse, Christie, Tommy, Nicole, and Cliff, specifically so they can go after Jackson and Holly. Meanwhile, Christie and Tommy are still pushing their theory that Holly and Kat know each other outside of the House and have been secretly working together.

What’s funny is that, earlier today, Christie and Tommy were talking to Cliff and she let slip just how close she lives to Tommy. Cliff laughed and made a comment about how Christie and Tommy have probably run into each other outside of the game without even realizing it. Tommy was smart enough to laugh but Christie got an extremely panicked look on her face. Christie has never been as good at this game as she thinks she is.

And that’s life in the Big Brother House right now.

Big Brother 21 — Week 7 Veto Meeting Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 12, 2019

Hi, y’all!

So, this will not come as a surprise to anyone but, at today’s veto meeting, Tommy used the power of veto to take Christie off the block. Since he didn’t nominate her for eviction, he didn’t need to pick a replacement. So, now, Kat and Cliff are still on the block.

And I have to say, that still bugs me. Christie was put on on the block as a punishment. America voted for her to go on the block. So, if she didn’t have to be replaced because she wasn’t actually nominated than, to me, it seems like it would stand to reason that she shouldn’t be eligible for the veto because, again, she wasn’t actually nominated.

I mean, Analyse came in second and is stuck wearing a chicken costume and making eggs all week. And there’s absolutely nothing that Analyse can do to get out of that punishment. Tommy had to wear a stupid costume, even after he became HoH, because it was a punishment and there’s no way to get out of it. If you refuse to do a punishment, the rules of Big Brother state that you automatically go on the block.

Meanwhile, Christie got the worst punishment that we could give her. America spent ten days voting to give her that punishment. From what I’ve heard, the vote wasn’t even close. America overwhelming decided to send Christie on that field trip, knowing she could get put on the block. And then her punishment only lasted 3 days.

I don’t think it’s a conspiracy as much as I just think that production isn’t really thinking through their policy decisions. It’s like when Cody was forced to nominate half the house during the first week of season 19. I almost wish they would stop doing twists like this because they never seem to work out the way that they should.

So, Christie is safe and right now, it appears that Kat is going to be the one to go. Earlier today, Nicole and Jessica both said that they feel like they should ally with Christie and Tommy instead of Jackson and Holly. Allying with Christie right now means voting out Kat.

As for what we have to look forward to after this week: DOUBLE EVICTION! As of right now, Christie, Tommy, and Analyse are talking about using the double eviction to get rid of Jackson. Strangely enough, they don’t seem to be planning on going after Holly. They apparently think that Holly will join up with them after they evict her boyfriend. That’s interesting logic.

As always, we’ll see what happens!

Big Brother 21 — Checking in With The House

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 11, 2019

Hi y’all!

So, as of right now, I’m really not sure who is going to be going to the jury on Thursday. If I had to guess, I would say Kat. Jackson and Holly have both indicated that they’ll vote however Tommy wants and Tommy told Jackson that Kat would probably be his preference. At the same time, Tommy hasn’t really definitely said, “I want this person gone,” and that’s worrying both Jackson and Christie because they want to be sure to vote with the majority.

As for the rest, Jessica and Nicole have both told each other that they would rather vote out Kat than Cliff. They both trust Cliff while they’re still not totally sure where Kat’s head is at. Jessica is still worried that Kat could secretly be working with Holly and she doesn’t want to get stabbed in the back later on in the game.

However, Analyse has been telling Holly that it would be better for both of their games if Cliff was the one who was voted out. Analyse says she’s concerned that Cliff could win the next HoH while she’s fairly certain that Kat won’t. As Analyse put it, “Cliff is good at mental stuff and that’s really dangerous for my game.” In other words, Analyse views Cliff as being a threat because Cliff actually knows the difference between a noun, a verb, and an adjective.

As for Christie — well, who knows where Christie’s head is at? She’s still obsessing on why America voted for her to go on the field trip. She’s decided that it’s not because America can’t stand her but instead, because America loves her so much that they wanted to give her a chance to play in the OTEV comp! That said, Christie seems far more certain to vote for Kat than Cliff.

And then you’ve got Nick, who apparently is now envisioning a new alliance made up of himself, Tommy, Christie, Analyse, Nicole, and Cliff. Nick, being Nick, has spent most of this week kissing up to Tommy and the result right now is that absolutely no one in the House trusts him. Both he and Christie have currently got huge targets on their back and neither seems to realize it.

So, right now, if I had to guess, I’d say Kat will be voted out on Thursday. But you never know! Things can change quickly in the Big Brother House, especially when you’ve got a paranoid group of houseguests.

Here’s what I’d love to see happen: At tomorrow’s veto ceremony, Tommy tries to use the veto on Christie. A voice says, “You cannot use the veto on the loser of the field trip comp.” It won’t happen, even though I kind of think that it should. (After all, America votes for 10 days straight to put Christie on the block.) Seriously, though, if Tommy didn’t have that veto, Christie would be going to jury this week.

*sigh*

Oh well! We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie

Big Brother 21 — Week 7 Veto Comp Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 10, 2019

Well, everyone, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but here goes.

Earlier today, they did the veto comp. Tommy, Christie, Cliff, Kat, Jackson, and Nick competed for the veto. Shortly before the comp took place, Jackson and Holly were talking about how much they distrust Christie and they agreed that if Jackson won the veto, he would not use it on Christie and that the two of them would join Nicole and Jessica in voting her out of the House.

So, I was pretty excited because, say what you will about Jackson as a human being, he’s still pretty good at comps. And if it meant getting Christie out of the house, I was totally in favor of him winning this one veto comp.

But, somehow, it did not happen. The feeds just came back from the veto comp and …. Tommy won the veto.

If you were one of the many who wanted to see Christie voted out this week, Tommy winning the veto was your worst case scenario. Tommy is going to use the veto to take Christie off the block. Since Christie was nominated as the result of a comp and is technically not one of “Tommy’s nominees,” Tommy will not be required to name a replacement. That means that, unless something huge happens between tonight and Monday afternoon, it’ll be either Kat or Cliff getting evicted on Thursday.

Sorry, everyone. Apparently, Tommy’s on a winning streak right now. If it makes anyone feel better, at least Analyse is having to wear a stupid chicken costume all week. (That’s her punishment for coming in 2nd during the field trip comp.)

Big Brother 21 — Week 7 Nominations

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 9, 2019

Hi, everyone!

The feeds were down a lot today but we can finally tell you which THREE players are now on the block!

First off, the field trip comp was played earlier today. The viewers voted for Jackson, Analyse, and Christie to take “the field trip” and compete to either be safe or to be nominated.

Jackson won the comp, which means that he will be safe for the week. He cannot be nominated and he cannot go up as a replacement. Analyse came in second, which means that she’s going to get some sort of punishment. Christie came in third, which means that she automatically went on the block.

After the field trip comp, they held the nomination ceremony. As he had been talking about doing ever since he first became HoH, Tommy nominated Cliff and Kat for eviction.

So, as of right now: Christie, Cliff, and Kat are on the block.

Now, I’m not sure how the veto is working this week. With three nominees on the block, would Tommy have to pick a replacement if one of them won and used the veto? I get the feeling that if the veto is used on Christie, Tommy won’t have to name a replacement because Christie is technically not Tommy’s nominee. However, if Cliff or Kat comes down, I imagine Tommy will have to pick a replacement and that replacement would probably be Nicole.

So, let’s say that the veto is not used this week. If the three nominees remain the same, there would only be five houseguests voting that week: Jackson, Analyse, Jessica, Nicole, and Nick. I can’t imagine any circumstance in which Jessica and Nicole would not vote for Christie. By that same token, Jackson and Analyse are both going to vote for either Cliff or Kat. Which means that Nick would be the deciding vote.

(Whoops! When I wrote the paragraph above, I totally forgot about Holly! So, if Nick goes with Jessica and Nicole, it would be a tie and Tommy would break it. But Jackson and Holly also have issues with Christie so it’s actually totally possible that they may just go ahead and get rid of her. Well, we’ll see!)

And who knows what Nick would do? After spending last week sucking up to Jessica and the outsiders, Nick has spent the past day sucking up to Tommy. Nick likes to play both sides of the house so it’ll be interesting to see what he does this week.

We’ll see what happens with the veto competition tomorrow!

Big Brother 21 — About Tonight

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 8, 2019

Hi, y’all!

So, obviously, if you haven’t seen tonight eviction episode, this post is going to be full of spoilers about who went to the jury house and who became the new HoH. So, if you’re trying to avoid spoilers, stop reading right now!

Okay?

Okay.

So, here’s the thing with Big Brother. Sometime, you have to take the good with the bad. To absolutely no one’s surprise, Jack was voted out tonight. The only thing surprising about the vote is that 1) Tommy voted to evict Jack and 2) Julie actually called out Jack on some of the comments that he made inside the House about Kemi and Bella. (Of course, Julie then proceeded to tell Jack that he would not “be gypped out of seeing his goodbye messages,” which kinda ruined the entire moment since gyp is, historically, a derogatory term for the Romani people.)

I have to say that I was really shocked by Tommy’s vote. In fact, when I heard it, I assumed that he must have said “Jackson.” It was only when Julie totaled up the votes and I checked on Facebook that I saw that Tommy had actually voted to evict Jack. (Only Christie and Analyse voted to keep Jack.) After spending the week saying that he would vote to keep Jack, Tommy decided to go with the majority. In other words, Tommy has no spine and I’m surprised he can handle wearing that big helmet when he doesn’t have any backbone.

Tommy’s lack of a spine is going to make this upcoming week interesting because Tommy is …. the new HoH!

That’s right, Tommy finally won a comp and it was the big one. Admittedly, it wasn’t much of a comp. The houseguests had to sit in a canoe and go across a slide. I imagine Tommy won because he weighed less than the bigger houseguests but he still weighed just enough to keep his canoe steady. (Nicole and Holly, for instance, both struggled to control their canoes.) It was really pretty much a random victory but it was still a victory nonetheless.

Tommy being HoH probably means that Christie is essentially going to be HoH. In theory, that should be bad news for Kat, Nicole, Jessica, and Cliff. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Tommy put any of them on the block. However, with the field trip coming up, there’s going to be a third nominee. Just judging from what people are saying online, it sounds like Christie’s getting a lot of the votes so it’s easy to imagine a situation where Christie ends up getting nominated and going home on Tommy’s HoH.

As for now, Jack is the first member of our jury. Julie didn’t say anything about there being another battleback so Jack may be out of the house permanently.

Anyway, Tommy should be making his nominations tomorrow. We’ll see what happens!

Lisa Marie

{ Comments on this entry are closed }

Well, tomorrow is the night that I know a lot of you have been waiting for!

Either Jack or Jackson will be leaving the Big Brother House! Now, they won’t be going home. As much as some of us would love to see them totally out of the game, they’ll actually still very much be a part of it all. Whoever is voted out will be sent to the jury house and will later play a key role in determining who wins this season of Big Brother.

And, with this being Big Brother, it’s always possible that they’ll do a jury battleback at some point. So, regardless of who goes, we’re still going to have to deal with them in one way or the other.

STILL — at least we won’t have him in the House, bossing people around and controlling the game.

So, who do you want to see voted out on Thursday?

Do you vote for…

JACK, the long-haired lifeguard who wants you to think of him as being Aquaman

or

JACKSON, A.K.A. MICHIE, the short-haired unemployed guy who swears that he hates bullies even though he’s spent the first half of the season bullying the entier house?

Let us know either in the comments section below or vote in this poll that we have going in the Big Brother Blog Facebook Group! Here’s the link!

And then, be sure to watch Thursday to see what will probably be a very satisfying eviction!

Happy voting,

Lisa Marie

P.S. I vote for Jackson.
