Big Brother 20: What Happened Tonight

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 9, 2018

Hi y’all!

So, I know that some of you haven’t gotten to see the show yet because of the football game.  Down here in North Texas, they broadcast the show on a different channel but I know some people are going to have to wait until 2 in the morning to get a chance to see it.

So, if you haven’t seen the show yet, this post is a spoiler.  If you want to be totally surprised by what happens tonight, stop reading now.

Okay?

Okay!

Anyway, it wasn’t a surprise that Bayleigh was voted out tonight.  What was surprising was that it was a 6-1 vote.  As well, Bayleigh didn’t go off on anyone in her speech and Rockstar didn’t call anyone out for being white and rich so I guess she abandoned that plan.  I’m going to guess that Bayleigh finally decided that there wasn’t any point in continuing to try to stay in the house, so she asked Sam, Fessy, and Scottie to vote her out.  After Julie revealed the vote, Bayleigh muttered something about everyone being scared of her and then she hugged everyone and left the house.  Once Bayleigh talked to Julie, she was back to being her usual angry self.  In fact, during her exit interview, it was pretty obvious that Bayleigh was extremely mad about being voted out.  But I guess she put her pageant training to good use and she managed to leave the house without yelling.

Only Sam voted to keep Bayleigh and I’m not sure why.  According to a few online sources, Sam went into the diary room 45 minutes before the show was set to start and she announced that 1) she wasn’t going to vote anyone out and 2) she wanted to self-evict.  Apparently, they managed to talk her down from that ledge but Sam still went against the house and voted to evict Rockstar.  When last I checked, Sam had let everyone in the house know that she voted for Rockstar and that she did it because she wasn’t sure what the plan was.

Haleigh is the new HoH and it’s reasonable to think that she’ll go after Angela and Tyler.  (She’s still mad at Sam for nominating her so Haleigh might return the favor, you never know.)  Haleigh is safe this week but, at the same time, she only has two or three votes  on which she can really depend.  Fessy and Rockstar will vote however Haleigh wants and Scottie might but, then again, he might not.  So, Haleigh’s going to have to do some deft maneuvering and either win or get Fessy and Rockstar to win some comps if she truly wants to control the house this week.

I could see her trying to backdoor Tyler.  I could easily see Tyler taking his chances at the nomination ceremony and hoping that, if he did get nominated, he could either win the veto or convince the veto winner to take him off the block.  He has to be thinking that Haleigh might try to backdoor him so, if I was him, I would take the chance of not using he power before the nomination ceremony just so I’d still have the power if I needed it before the veto ceremony.  We’ll see what happens with that.

Plus, we have another hacker comp to deal with!

So, this should be an exciting week!

Big Brother 20: Let’s Open The Diary Room!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 8, 2018

Hi y’all!

Well, the big blow-up that we’ve all been waiting for finally occurred today.  Haleigh called a house meeting and told everyone that she was the hacker.  She also said that, during the previous week, Tyler approached Bayleigh about backdooring Angela.  Haleigh actually had control of the meeting for about a minute or two but then Bayleigh started screaming at Tyler and Tyler started yelling back and things pretty much fell apart.

Of course, what the Hive doesn’t realize is that Bayleigh wasn’t nominated just because Angela thought she was the hacker.  Bayleigh was nominated because she has a huge power and everyone wants to get it and her out of the house.  So, I doubt Haleigh’s little house meeting is going to change much.  If anything, it’ll probably put a bigger target on Haleigh’s back because now people know that she’s capable of winning stuff.  Plus, Tyler now has an excuse to go after her.

So, with all that in mind, it’s time … OPEN UP THE DIARY ROOM!

Do you vote to evict…

ROCKSTAR, despite the fact that her daughter had a birthday recently

or

BAYLEIGH, despite the fact that she’s the self-declared queen of the house?

Cast your vote in the comments below or in the poll over on the right side of the page!  And then, be sure to watch Big Brother on Thursday to see who is voted out and who becomes the new HoH!

Happy voting!

Big Brother 20: Rockstar’s Plan

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 7, 2018

Hi y’all!

Well, Bayleigh is now officially angry over being nominated.  She’s convinced that she’s been unfairly targeted and she’s told Haleigh that ratings for the show will crash once she’s voted out.  That’s right, Bayleigh has figured out that the only reason people watched Big Brother was for her!

Excuse me while I roll my eyes…

Anyway, Rockstar has come up with a plan and it certainly is a stupid one.  It would appear that Rockstar has figured out that 1) she’s not going to win Big Brother and 2) she’s probably going to be nominated again next week.  So, Rockstar figures that this week would be a good time for her to use her eviction speech to attack everyone in the house for being rich and basically beg them to vote her out.  That way, Rockstar can head over to the jury house and Bayleigh can stay behind and win the season and “make a big social statement.”

Yes, that is what Rockstar is seriously planning on doing.  And, honestly, that plan is so stupid that I almost want to see her get voted out just for coming up with it.  Since this season began, Rockstar has been going on and on about how she deserves the money because she’s a stay-at-home mom.  But now that it’s become clear that the Hive isn’t going to dominate the house, Rockstar wants to give up.  But she doesn’t even have the guts to admit that she’s giving up!  Instead, she wants to frame it as being some sort of political protest.

Are you kidding me!?

Add to that, even if Rockstar’s plan did work, it’s not as if Bayleigh wouldn’t just get voted out the next week.  Rockstar is seriously overestimating Bayleigh’s potential in the game.  Bayleigh has managed to alienate everyone in the house, including the members of her own alliance.  Strangely, the only person who is really still loyal to her is the one that Bayleigh treats the worst, Rockstar.

(Of course, what’s truly funny about this is that Rockstar claims that she hates rich people but, of all the houseguests, Bayleigh comes from the wealthiest background.  For the record, Bayleigh told Rockstar not to throw away her game.)

As for the rest of the house, Sam made the mistake of trying to give Bayleigh a pep talk, which of course led to Bayleigh snapping at her.  Meanwhile, Angela is still convinced that Bayleigh is the hacker.  Earlier today, she explained to Haleigh why Bayleigh had to be the hacker.  Haleigh just smiled and nodded alone.

So, will Rockstar’s plan work?  Or will she get smart and abandon the whole idea?

We’ll find out on Thursday!

Big Brother 20: Well, that was a let down…

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 6, 2018

Hi y’all!

Well, here’s the good news (or the bad news, depending on who you’re supporting in the game):

They had the veto ceremony earlier today.  Angela used the veto on Tyler and then nominated Bayleigh as the replacement.  We all knew that was going to happen.  It does sound like there were some fireworks at the ceremony.  Angela did accuse Bayleigh of being the hacker and apparently, Tyler dared Bayleigh to “take away his vote.”  Bayleigh says that Tyler yelled at her but, considering how Bayleigh exaggerates things, that doesn’t mean that Tyler actually did yell.  We’ll find out for sure on Wednesday.

So, as it stands now, Bayleigh and Rockstar are on the block and it seems pretty certain that Bayleigh will be voted out of the house and into the jury on Thursday.

The bad news, for feed watchers, is that all this hasn’t quite led to the fireworks that we were all expecting.  Oh, don’t get me wrong.  Bayleigh’s mad.  She told Haleigh that she wants to leave because she’s sick of being around “all of you crazy white people.”  Bayleigh snapped at Kaycee for crying after the ceremony and she’s also been complaining that this would never have happened if not for Rockstar.

Why is she blaming Rockstar?  Apparently, Bayleigh thinks that she’s been nominated because she was campaigning for Rockstar to stay over Tyler.  It doesn’t seem to have occurred to her that she was nominated because she has a huge power and she’s been rude to almost everyone in the house.  It’s interesting that Bayleigh somehow always managed to blame everything on either Rockstar or Scottie.

(Earlier, Bayleigh said that she wasn’t the hacker but she’s pretty sure that Scottie is.)

So, yes, Bayleigh is upset about it.  But she hasn’t been yelling at people.  She hasn’t been banging pots and pans.  She hasn’t been blowing up anyone’s game or anything like that.  Instead, she’s just been kinda glaring at people and complaining to Haleigh.

That doesn’t mean that we won’t get a blow up at some point during this week.  In fact, I imagine that we will.  But right now, considering that she’s being backdoored, Bayleigh is being rather lowkey about it.  She’s even been packing her bags, which would seem to suggest that she doesn’t think she has much of a chance to stay.  My guess is that Bayleigh’s in shock right now but I really can’t imagine that she won’t try to fight to stay in the house between now and eviction night.

Believe it or not, if anyone’s really improved their position in the house this week, it’s probably Rockstar.  She’s been handling her baking and exercising punishment with a lot more good humor than I think anyone was expecting.  As we learned when Paulie had a mental collapse over having to do a punishment during BB18, the smartest thing you can do while being punished in the Big Brother House is to have a decent attitude about it.  Whether this will really help Rockstar get further in the game or not, I don’t know.  But it’s certainly an improvement when compared to two weeks ago, when Rockstar wouldn’t stop yelling about her daughter’s birthday.

Brett was also been punished by visits from Granny.  The feeds go down whenever Granny shows up but apparently, Brett quickly got sick of her and, at one point, even asked her if she was going to die anytime soon.  From what people have been saying, it sounds like everyone got annoyed with Granny pretty quickly.  It sounds more like a punishment for the entire house than just Brett.  (Like the veto ceremony, Granny is something we’ll see on Wednesday.)

And that’s the state of the house for now!

Big Brother 20: The March To Monday Continues…

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 5, 2018

Hi y’all!

How clueless can one group of people be?

That’s the question that I always ask myself when it comes to The Hive.  The situation right now is that Tyler and Rockstar are on the block.  Haleigh is the hacker and therefore has the power to steal one vote on Thursday night.  Angela is both the HoH and current veto holder.

Now, logically, what do you think that Angela would do with that power?  Pretend that you haven’t been watching the live feeds and that you’re in the house and you’re a member of the Hive.  Do you think that Angela would use the power to get out one of her own allies or that she would use it to take out someone from the other side of the house?

I mean, it’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?  There’s no logical reason why Angela would not use her power to take Tyler off the block and put up a member of the Hive.  And since Bayleigh has declared herself to be the Queen of the House and currently has the power app, it seems kinda logical that Bayleigh would be the target, right?

And yet, Bayleigh, Haleigh, and Faysal simply are incapable of understanding this.  Instead, last night, Haleigh and Bayleigh were once again trying to convince Angela to start an all-girl’s alliance.  Because Angela didn’t kick them out of her room, Bayleigh and Haleigh assumed they had gotten though to her.  What they don’t realize is that, as soon as they left, Angela told Level 6 about everything that they had told her.  Right now, Bayleigh and Haleigh are very confidently digging their own graves in the house and they don’t even realize it.

Scottie, meanwhile, has flipped yet again.  Earlier today, he told Level 6 all about the Hive and basically presented himself as just being an innocent victim of Bayleigh’s scheming.

So, here’s what’s going to happen tomorrow.  They’re going to have the veto ceremony and, as of right now, Angela is 100% planning on taking Tyler down and nominated Bayleigh.  The only concern that Angela had was that Bayleigh’s power would allow her to change the renoms but Bayleigh was good enough to tell Angela that it wouldn’t.  Bayleigh, somehow, has absolutely no clue that this is coming.  If anything, she thinks that there’s a chance that Faysal might be nominated but, unless someone says something between now and tomorrow, Bayleigh will be totally blindsided.

And the feeds are going to be on fire!

I can’t wait to see them!

Lisa Marie

P.S. On tonight’s episode of Big Brother, it was confirmed that Haleigh did indeed win the first hacker comp.  Haleigh won a lot of power but, in typical Hive fashion, basically wasted it.

Big Brother 20: Get Ready For The Second Best Week Ever!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 4, 2018

Hi y’all!

So, I know that a lot of people were upset yesterday when Haleigh won the hacker comp and promptly took Scottie off the block and nominated Tyler in his place.

Tyler was especially upset.  In fact, I don’t think I’ve seen him more upset than he was last night.  It was obvious that he knew that, if he was sitting on the block on Thursday, he would go home.

Well, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.  They played the veto comp earlier today and…

ANGELA WON THE VETO!

Angela has already told her alliance that she’s going to use the veto to take Tyler off the block and replace him with Bayleigh.  Even with Haleigh having the power to nullify one person’s vote on Thursday, it doesn’t matter.  Level 6 has the votes necessary to get Bayleigh out of the house.

As for the veto comp, it was one of those comps where, whenever anyone dropped out of the comp, that person would get a prize and then the next person who dropped out could either get a new prize or steal someone else’s prize.  The prizes went as follows (thank you to Judy Carr for posting these in the Big Brother Blog FB group):

Scottie — $5,000

Tyler — Trip to Hawaii

Kaycee — Has to wear a costume

Brett — Has to wear a costume

Angela — Veto

Rockstar — ????

Apparently, at one point, Tyler could have taken the veto from Scottie but instead, he chose to take a trip to Hawaii away from Brett.  That left Angela in the position where she had to give up $5,000 and take the veto away from Scottie.  Needless to say, Brett wasn’t happy about this but Tyler told Brett that he had to do that so that no one would suspect that the two of them are working together!

(I’m not sure how angry Brett really is.  Before the veto comp, Brett told the members of the Level 6 that he was going to pretend to be upset if any of them won the veto, just to keep people wondering if maybe he an Rockstar really are a team.)

Scottie apparently knows that the power in the house has shifted because, after the veto comp, he told Angela all about how Bayleigh’s been targeting the other side of the house. Angela is already convinced that Bayleigh was the hacker.  (Actually, though it won’t be officially confirmed until the show airs on Sunday, it appears that Haleigh’s the hacker.)     Angela now seems to be pretty determined to take down Tyler and put up Bayleigh, which means the feeds are going to be crazy this week.

In other words — IT’S GOING TO BE THE SECOND BEST WEEK EVER!

Lisa Marie

P.S. As hacker, Haleigh has the power to pick on veto player.  The smart thing would have been to pick Faysal, since he’s the only Hive member who is good at challenges.  Instead, it appears that she picked Kaycee.  I imagine Haleigh didn’t want anyone to know that she had the power but, by picking Kaycee, she basically created a situation where Rockstar had to win the veto.  (Scottie had already said that he would take Tyler down if he won.)  Of course, Rockstar sucks at comps so she was the first one out.

Hi y’all!

Well, it’s been a crazy day in the Big Brother House.  Check this out:

First off, last night, Bayleigh basically went crazy and started accusing Rockstar of secretly working with Brett and flipping her vote to keep him safe.  Rockstar, of course, denied it but Bayleigh didn’t believe a word of it.

After speaking with Angela, Bayleigh decided not to use her power app.  Angela promptly nominated Scottie and Rockstar for eviction.  Though Bayleigh doesn’t seem to suspect anything, Angela has told the members of Level 6 that her plan was to backdoor Bayleigh this week.

So, after the nominations, it was pretty much a typical day in the Big Brother House.  Rockstar was crying.  Bayleigh and Haleigh were talking about how much they dislike working with Rockstar and how she’s just dead weight and they’re sick of her always demanding the everyone feel sorry for her.  Typical stuff.

For some reason, around 11:00 their time, the cloud symbol briefly flashed on the TV screen.  A lot of viewers assumed that meant that Tyler has used his power but it now appears that it was a production mistake.  Basically, someone in the control room pressed the wrong button.  That still hasn’t kept the Houseguests from trying to figure out what the cloud meant.  Every time they start to talk about it, the feeds go down.

Finally, after all this, we had the hacker comp.  Apparently, it involved doing something on a computer.  The winner gets a lot of power: the ability to take someone off the block and replace them with another houseguest and the power to steal someone’s vote on Thursday.

The feeds went down for the comp and the hacker’s identity is supposed to remain a secret.  So, we don’t know for sure who won.  However, VegasForSure — who has posted several spoilers that subsequently turned out to be correct — swears that the comp was won by Haleigh.  Regardless of whether that’s true or not, it now appears that the hacker took Scottie off the block and replaced him with Tyler!

(The fact that Tyler was nominated is how we know that he didn’t play his power and the cloud on the tv screen was just a production mistake.)

So, to recap:

Angela is HoH.

Rockstar and Tyler are the nominees.

And Haleigh might be the hacker.

We’ll find out for sure who won the hacker comp on Sunday!

Tomorrow, we have the veto!

Big Brother 20: That Was The Greatest Episode In Years

by Lisa Marie Bowman on August 2, 2018

Hi y’all!

So, what can I say about tonight’s episode?

Seriously, that was one of the best episodes that I’ve seen in years!  It had everything that we want when we watch a Big Brother live eviction episode!  It had suspense!  It had a great blindside!  It had an awkward interview between Julie and the evicted houseguest!  It had a great HoH comp that literally pitted the two sides of the house against each other!  If not for that filler segment of Chris meeting Bayleigh’s family, it would have been the perfect episode.

For the record, the blindside of the season was pulled off.  After spending a week talking how she was the queen of the house, Bayleigh watched as her HoH went down in flames.  Targeted twice, Brett has now survived twice and he has once again managed to blow up someone else’s game.  In his eviction speech, Brett let everyone know about Bayleigh’s power.  (He also threw in some nonsense about Rachel being the head of an all-girl’s alliance.)  As for Rachel, she was totally blindsided when she was evicted on a 5-4 to vote.  She stormed out of the house, missing her opportunity to blow up everyone’s game before leaving.

I felt a little bit bad for Rachel when she was being interviewed by Julie Chen.  To be honest, I kind of felt that they should have held off on showing her the goodbye messages.  It’s been a while since I’ve see anyone that shocked and hurt about being voted out of the house.  But, at the same time, Rachel really doesn’t have anyone to blame but herself.  If she hadn’t allowed herself to get so rattled over being nominated, Level 6 probably would have voted out Brett.

The HoH comp came down to a tie breaker between Angela and Rockstar.  That’s right.  The Hive found themselves depending on Rockstar’s ability to solve a math problem.  You can guess how that went.  Rockstar discovered that 60 x 30 does not equal 1200 and Angela is the new HoH!

So, that’s where we are now.  Angela is HoH.  Faysal is walking around, confused.  Rockstar is sobbing in the supply room.  Bayleigh still has her power but will she use it?  Or will she save it for another week?  If she’s smart, she’ll save it until she feels that she really needs it to avoid being nominated.  If she can convince Angela to put up two other members of The Hive, then Bayleigh can hold on to her power for a little bit longer.

It was a great night of Big Brother and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Well, it’s that time again!

It’s time for you to enter the Diary Room and cast your vote to evict!

Do you vote to evict…

or

RACHEL, who has a job back in Vegas?

Cast your vote in the comments below or over on the right side of the page!  And then be sure to watch Big Brother on Thursday to see who is voted out!

(As of right now, it still looks like Rachel is going to end up getting blindsided with a 5-4 vote but, as we all know, things can change very quickly in the Big Brother House!)

Happy voting!

Big Brother 20: It All Comes Down To JC

by Lisa Marie Bowman on July 31, 2018

Hi y’all!

Well, it still looks like we’re going to have a huge blindside on Thursday.  To be honest, though, it all depends on what the most erratic person in the house decides to do.

To recap, Bayleigh is the HoH.  Rachel and Brett are on the block.  Brett is Bayleigh’s target.  Bayleigh is convinced that 1) she’s got the entire house prepared to vote out Brett and 2) that she has played such a masterful game that she’s managed to destroy any possible opposition to her.  At this point, Bayleigh really seems to think that the entire house is just going to voluntarily hand the money over to her.

Here’s what Queen Bay doesn’t know:

There are only four definite votes to get rid of Brett.  Faysal, Haleigh, Rockstar, and Scottie are all planning on voting for Brett and are all convinced that the entire house is going to be voting along with them.

However, Tyler, Sam, Angela, and Kaycee have all decided that they can do without Rachel.  So, they’re planning on voting to evict her and to keep Brett.

That leaves JC as the wild card.  JC has been leaning towards voting with Level 6.  For whatever reason, he’s always been more comfortable with the members of the Level 6.  And Bayleigh hasn’t been making much of an effort to smooth over any of the lingering hurt feelings that developed as a result of their “m-word” “n-word” conversation.  In fact, Bayleigh’s been even ruder than usual to JC, telling him at one point to shut up and leave her room.

(Actually, Bayleigh’s been rude to everyone this week.  Bayleigh has declared herself a queen but doesn’t seem to realize that her subjects are on the verge of rebellion.)

So, with all that in mind, why is JC still a wild card?  Personally, I think JC will vote to evict Rachel but I can’t be sure because of what happened last week.  JC went out of his way to lobby everyone to vote out Kaitlyn and then, once he got in the Diary Room, he voted to evict Rockstar.  JC likes to cause trouble and he likes to plant the seeds of doubt.  JC is also a lot like Sam, in that he often keeps his plans to himself.

Would JC betray Level 6?  I wouldn’t put it past him.

Of course, again, Bayleigh isn’t doing herself any favors with the way that she’s handled being HoH.  Announcing that you’re “Queen Bay” and then bragging about your powers isn’t exactly the smartest way to keep a target off your back.  And it’s certainly not the sort of behavior that’s going to win over the people who are planning on blindsiding you.

Here’s what’s really funny about this situation:

If Bayleigh had stuck with her original plan and nominated Brett and JC for eviction, she would have absolutely nothing to worry about.  JC wouldn’t even have the opportunity to flip his vote.  Instead, Bayleigh allowed JC to talk his way out of being nominated and she put up Brett and Rachel.  And now, it appears that Bayleigh’s on the verge of getting blindsided as a result!

Thursday should be a lot of fun.

We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie
