Celebrity Big Brother: Veto Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 22, 2018

Hi y’all!

First off, a big congratulations to Jessica and Cody who won the Amazing Race last night!  While they weren’t the first Big Brother houseguests to run the race, they were the first to win it!  (Rachel and Brendon came in third twice.  Jeff and Jordan were eliminated early in their season, as were Allison and her boyfriend, Donny.)  I haven’t seen how any of the other houseguests from BB19 have reacted to Jessica and Cody’s victory.  Considering that neither one of them was patricularly popular in the house, I can only imagine some of what was said last night.  Remember when both Paul and Christmas taunted Jessica, saying that she was giving up $500,000 for Cody?

As for what’s happening in the house, Mark is the HoH and he nominated Brandi and Ari for eviction.  Well, they had the veto comp and … ARI WON!  Earlier today, Ari took herself off the block.  Despite saying earlier that was leaning towards Omarosa as a replacement nom, Mark instead nominated Marissa.

So now, it’s Brandi and Marissa on the block.  Marissa is not happy about it.  This is probably the first time that I can remember that I checked the feeds and Marissa wasn’t screaming or dancing or singing.  (Usually, she’s almost as bad as Raven was during season 19.)

Now, as of right now, it does appear that Brandi still Mark’s target.  But who knows?  That could change between tonight and the live show on Friday.  Marissa is a much bigger threat than Brandi and if Brandi can point that out to everyone, she might have a chance to stay in the house.  The problem is that Brandi doesn’t have the best social game in the house.  Whereas Marissa tends to be a bit passive-aggressive, Brandi is often just pure aggression.

We’ll see what happens tomorrow night.  And, of course, tomorrow is also a double eviction!  Following the double eviction, the final two shows will be on Saturday and Sunday.  On Sunday, three houseguests will leave the house and, from the final two remaining, a winner will be chosen!

We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie

Celebrity Big Brother: Here Are The Nominations

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 21, 2018

Hi, eveyone!

So, here’s just a quick update to let you know who has been nominated by the new HoH Mark McGrath.

This won’t come as a surprise to anyone but Mark ended up nominating Brandi and Ari for eviction.  Both he and James have made no secret of the fact that Brandi is their target.  As I said yesterday, I’m not really sure what James and Mark are thinking.  While Brandi is a little bit of a threat, she’s still hardly the biggest threat in the game.  Right now, the biggest threat in the game is Ross and maybe Marissa.  Both James and Mark have talked about the fact that they don’t feel that that either one of them could beat Ross in a final two.

So, why not nominate Ross and Marissa for eviction?  Why waste an HoH on Brandi?  First off, it seems like Brandi would be the easiest person in the house to beat in a final two situation.  Brandi hasn’t exactly proven herself to be a challenge threat so it’s not like Brandi’s going to win the next HoH.  It really does seem like the main reason that Brandi is being targeted is because she got on James’s nerves during their first night in the house.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Brandi is not reacting well to being on the block.  She knows that she’s the target and she’s overheard James campaigning against her.  Last night, before going to bed, Brandi demanded to know why Marissa wasn’t standing up for her.  Marissa, of course, lied and said that she never talks about Brandi behind her back.

If either Brandi or Ari wins the veto, Mark has said that he’s thinking of putting Omarosa up as a replacement.  So, right now, it looks like Ross and Marissa will be safe until the finale.

We’ll see what happens,

Lisa Marie

P.S. Julie Chen has said that Celebrity Big Brother might become an annual event.  The ratings have been good, though that’s largely because the show really doesn’t have any competition other than the Winter Olympics.  Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a new group of celebrities enter the Big Brother house next year.

Celebrity Big Brother: Another Wasted HoH

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 20, 2018

Hi y’all!

So, last night’s episode was kind of a bust.

It turned out that it didn’t matter who Omarosa was targeting.

It didn’t matter who the house wanted out.  It didn’t matter which veto you voted for.  (The veto that received the most votes was the VIP Veto, which would have given the veto holder the option to use it twice.)

Ross won the veto and took himself off the block.  Since he probably would have used the veto again to save Marissa if she had been nominated, that meant that his alliance was safe.  Since Omarosa’s plan has always been to split up the pairs, it would have made sense for her to put Ari up as a replacement and then everyone could vote out Brandi.  But again, none of that mattered.

It didn’t matter because Metta decided he wanted to go home.

And so, Omarosa nominated Metta for eviction.  Brandi thanked Metta for wanting to go home.  Everyone voted to evict Metta.  Metta left the house.

So, the end result of Omarosa’s HoH was that she nominated her only ally for eviction and he got voted out.

For the most part, I’m enjoying Celebrity Big Brother but it really drives me crazy when people ask to be voted out of the house.  First Keshia and then Metta.  Do they not explain how the game works to these people before they enter the house?

And really, if Metta wanted to leave, he could just leave.  It’s not like there are armed guards standing outside the front door.  If you want to go, GO!  Don’t waste someone else’s HoH.  It’s just frustrating because the majority of these houseguests really are playing the game but all that strategizing is worthless when players demand to be nominated so they can leave.

Anyway, on the positive side, everyone else in the house actually seems to want to be there.  And, even though there’s only a few days left, there’s still a lot of scheming and strategizing to look forward to.  Wednesday is going to be a double eviction and then, on finale night, three houseguests will be evicted!

As for what’s happening in the house right now — Mark is HoH!  That means that both he and James are safe for a few days.  They are planning on following Omarosa’s strategy of targeting pairs.  Now, to me, it would seem obvious that Ross and Marissa are a more dangerous pair than Brandi and Ari.

But no.  Apparently, Mark is planning on nominating Brandi and Ari later today, with Brandi as his target.  I’m not really sure if those boys are really aware of who is actually dangerous in the house.  James has had it out for Brandi ever since their first night in the house.

As always, we’ll see what happens!

Celebrity Big Brother: Let’s Open The Diary Room!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 19, 2018

Hi y’all!

(I guess that’s what happens when you have to do an entire season of Big Brother in three weeks!)

Well, it’s time to cast your vote!  Who do you want to see go?  Of course, there’s still a veto to play for so it’s totally possible that neither one of the current nominees will be voted out tonight.

So, who do you want to see go tonight?

BRANDI, the real housewife

or

ROSS, the unreal talk show host

or

A REPLACEMENT NOMINEE?

Let us know in the comments below or vote over on the right side of the page!  And be sure to watch Celebrity Big Brother tonight on CBS to see who will be voted out next!

Celebrity Big Brother: Omarosa’s Plan

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 18, 2018

Hi y’all!

So, if you just watched tonight’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother, you know what Omarosa did as far as nominations are concerned.  She nominated Ross and Brandi for eviction, with an eye towards breaking up the power couples.

Her target is Ross and she’s made final four deals with both Mark and James to get them to vote her way on Monday.  If Mark, James, and Metta all vote the way Omarosa wants them to, Ross will be evicted on a 3-2 vote.

At first, Ross and Marissa were convinced that James and Mark were planning on voting to evict Brandi but, yesterday, Ari finally figured out that Omarosa might have made a deal with Mark and James.  She told Marissa about her suspicions and, of course, Marissa promptly told Ross and the two of them decided that they needed to get more information to determine whether Ari was right…

…which seems kind of strange to me.  Are Marissa and Ross really so clueless that it wouldn’t occur to them that Omarosa would have a deal going with Mark and James?  Since they knew that Omarosa wanted Ross out, they should have been scrambling even before the nominations, trying to to sew up every vote they could get.  Instead, they got cocky, they gave into hubris, and now Ross is in a really bad position.

Depending on what happens with the veto, Mark and James will pretty much be deciding who goes home on Monday night.  They’ve both made a deal with Omarosa but that doesn’t necessarily mean that either one will hold up their end of it.  Earlier today, while they were working out, Mark and James discussed whether or not they should vote the way that Omarosa wants them to or if they should negotiate a final four deal with Ross and Marissa.  The main problem that they both had with working with Ross and Marissa was that they felt that Ross would always be more loyal to Marissa than to them.

In the end, Mark and James decided to wait and see what happens with the veto.  Neither one wants to get targeted by Omarosa but, at the same time, Omarosa won’t be able to compete in the next HoH.

As always, we’ll see what happens!

Celebrity Big Brother: Three Vetoes To Choose From

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 17, 2018

Hi y’all!

Well, before I tell you anything else, I need to tell you about the three vetoes.  Right now, over at CBS.com, you have the option to vote for what type of veto the houseguests will be playing for on Monday!  Here are the three options:

Diamond Veto: The Veto winner has the power to remove one of the nominees from the chopping block and also name the replacement nominee.

VIP Veto: The winner of this Veto will have the option to use the Veto once or twice or not at all in the same Veto Meeting. If the winner of the VIP Veto removes one of the nominees, he or she will wait for a replacement nominee to be made before deciding if they want to use it a second time.

Spotlight Veto: The winner of this Veto is guaranteed to be in the spotlight at the Veto Meeting because this Veto HAS to be used to save one of the two nominees from the chopping block!

You can cast your vote up until Monday, 12 pm est.

As for what’s happening in the house:

To no one’s surprise, Shannon Elizabeth was voted out on Friday.  Only Brandi voted for Shannon to stay.  At first, I thought that maybe she was trying to cause chaos and make people distrust each other.  Then I saw that, earlier in the day, she told Metta that she was going to give Shannon a sympathy vote but that she wanted him to claim that he was the one who did it.  I guess she figured that Metta wouldn’t care one way or the other.  Well, Metta refused to do it which left Brandi with no choice but to admit to everyone that she was the one who cast the vote.

The houseguests, especially Ross and Marissa, did not react well to this.  In fact, Ross and Marissa are acting as if this is the greatest betrayal in the history of Big Brother.  I have to admit that I don’t really care much for either Ross or Marissa at this point.  As far as I can tell, their only real strategy is to suck up to whoever is in charge.

Speaking of being in charge, last night’s HoH was an endurance comp and it was won by … OMAROSA!

So now, Omarosa is in charge.  Last night, she told Metta that she’s not really interesting in taking out a power player like James because, as long as James is in the house, he’ll always be a bigger target than her.  Instead, she’s looking towards breaking up the couples alliance, which means that she’s either going to nominate Ross and Marissa or Brandi and Ari.  Personally, I’m hoping she nominates Ross and Ari just so my ears can have a rest from listening to them yelling.

We’ll see what happens!

Hi y’all!

Well, it’s Friday and you know what that means!  It’s time for us to once again open up the Diary Room and allow you to cast your votes for who you want to see evicted tonight.

As a result of James playing the veto, Mark McGrath has now joined Shannon Elizabeth on the block.

SHANNON, who was once the most powerful player in the house

or

MARK, who has so far flown under the radar?

Cast your vote in the comments below or over in the poll on the right side of the page!  And tonight, be sure to tune into CBS Big Brother to see who will be the third celebrity voted out!

Celebrity Big Brother: Here Are Your Veto Results!

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 15, 2018

Hi y’all!

Last night, the houseguests competed for the veto.

Just to recap: Ari is the HoH, though Brandi might as well be co-HoH at this point.  Ross and Marissa have allied themselves with Ari and Brandi.  I have a feeling that those two will ally themselves with whoever has the power.

Ari nominated Shannon and James for eviction.  Shannon’s the target.  That means that Shannon really needed to win this veto if she wanted to stay in the house.  Last night, they played for the veto and…

SHANNON DID … not win.

Instead, James won the veto.  That means that James is safe and, unless Shannon can make a bunch of new alliances in two days, she is going to be voted out.  Last night, Shannon was talking to Metta and saying that she feels that she let herself and her charity down.  Obviously, she feels that Metta will be the easiest houseguest to flip over to hre side but I’m not sure if she’s right about that.

James will be using the veto on himself.  Ari and Brandi are still targeting Shannon for eviction, so they’re going to have to nominate a pawn.  They don’t want to nominate Metta because there’s a possibility that he might pull a Keshia and beg to be voted out.  And it’s possible that, if they nominate Ross or Marissa, Shannon could convince people that either one of them is a bigger threat to win the game.

So, last night, they were trying to chose between Mark and Omarosa.  Omarosa, they felt, might get voted out if she was nominated.  No one views here as being a reliable ally, no one trusts her, and no one likes her.  From what I heard last night, it sounds as if Mark will be the likely replacement.  However, you know how things go in the Big Brother House.  That could change by the time they have the veto ceremony.

Ross and Marissa are still both convinced that there will be a double eviction on Friday.  CBS hasn’t mentioned anything about a double eviction so it’s hard to say.  Obviously, with only a week to go in the game, they’re going to have to start doing some doubles at some point.

We’ll see what happens with the veto ceremony later today!

Celebrity Big Brother: Happy Valentine’s Day

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 14, 2018

Hi, everyone!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Well, on this Ash Wednesday, here’s how things currently stand in the Big Brother House:

Ari is the HoH.  Her main alliance is with Brandi and then she has also partnered up with Marissa and Ross.  Just as she said she would, Ari has nominated Shannon and James for eviction.  So, unless something really crazy happens (which is always a possibility), one of those two will be heading out the door on Friday night.  Ross also thinks that Friday will be a double eviction so it might be two people heading out the door.

(It makes sense.  There’s not much time left in the show and there’s still 9 people in the house.  So, they’re going to have to start doubling up evictions if they’re going to get rid of 6 more people before the finale.  Still, I think if there was a double eviction coming up, Julie Chen would have mentioned it to the viewers on Monday.  You know how this show loves to make a big deal about stuff like that.  Maybe more will be revealed on the show tonight.)

Though he seems like he’s in a good position, Ross could actually be in trouble.  Even though he seems to have a solid final four alliance with Ari, Brandi, and Marissa, the girls don’t totally trust him.  He tried so hard to convince them to nominate Omarosa and Metta and then backdoor Shannon that it ended up reiterating how sneaky Ross can be.  As well, Ross is viewed as potentially being too close to Mark McGrath.

To me, one of the more interesting things about this season is that, each week, the HoH has targeted a strong player just to then see a weaker player voted out of the house.  Shannon and Keshia both started out by targeting James but it was Chuck who ended up getting evicted.  Then Ross started out by targeting Omarosa before switching his sights to Shannon.  Of course, when eviction night came, Keshia blew up the whole plan by begging to be sent home.  Unless something really weird happens with the veto, Ari will be the first HoH to evict a legitimate threat to win the game.

We’ll see what happens!
