Celebrity Big Brother 3 — Veto Results

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 16, 2022

Hi, everyone!

So, as we all saw tonight, Todd Bridges has somewhat implausibly become the new head of household. He has nominated Carson and Lamar for eviction. Carson in the target, though Todd seems to be okay with the idea of Lamar getting voted out as well. Todd has spent the past two days patting himself on the back but, as we all know, he’s just doing the bidding of Todrick and Meisha, even if he doesn’t quite realize it.

Well, the veto competition was earlier today. Let’s give Carson and Cynthia a little credit. They both realized that this was a comp they had to win if they were going to have any hope of Carson staying in the House. Carson now understands that he’s the target and that no one was ever really serious about taking him to the final four. Carson finally understands the situation.

That said, that understanding did not translate into a veto win. Instead, the veto was won by Meisha and Meisha has already told Todd that she is not planning on using it. On Friday, the only people eligible to vote will be Todrick, Meisha, and Cynthia. Cynthia will vote to keep Carson but Meisha and Todrick are planning on voting Carson out of the House.

There’s less than a week to go until the finale! Right now, Todrick and Meisha are pretty much in control of the House and, unless Cynthia pulls off an HoH win, they seem to be the two most likely players to make it to the final two.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — About Tonight’s Eviction

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 14, 2022

(SPOILER WARNING FOR ANY OF YOU WHO HAVEN’T SEEN THE EPISODE YET)

So, after having to DVR the previous few episodes and watch them hours after they originally aired, I finally got to watch tonight’s eviction episode live. And all I can really say about it is that it totally sucked.

Meisha and Toddrick’s plan worked. They totally turned Carson and Cynthia against Shanna, basically by telling a bunch of lies and feeding Carson and Cynthia a bunch of empty promises about taking them to the final four. On the live feeds, before the start of tonight’s show, Carson told Meisha that he just couldn’t understand why Shanna kept denying everything that Meisha and Toddrick were saying about her. MAYBE IT’S BECAUSE MEISHA AND TODDRICK WERE LYING, YOU DINGBAT! Carson has no idea that Meisha and Toddrick have been laughing at him, behind his back, ever since he became HoH. They’re not taking him to the final four. Instead, they’re planning on targeting him next.

Anyway, the backdoor went just as expected. Because of the stupid random draw, Shanna didn’t even get to compete for the veto. Toddrick won the veto and used it to save Todd. Todd was apparently under the impression that he would be picking the replacement nominee because he stood at the front of the living room like an idiot until Julie finally told him to sit down. Once Todd was seated, Carson nominated Shanna as a replacement. “I’m so sorry,” Carson lied.

The vote to evict Shanna was unanimous. When it was Lamar’s turn to vote, he sat in the diary room and chewed on his fingernails until Julie had to literally order him to cast his vote. Lamar finally voted for Shanna. As Shanna left the house, she said, “Don’t worry, Toddrick, I’ll tell the jury to vote against you.”

Toddrick, who had been so cocky through the entire episode, actually had the nerve to get upset about that. Toddrick reminds me a lot of Paul from Big Brothers 18 and 19. He can dish it out but he can’t take it. The minute anyone talks back to him, he runs off to Meisha and starts crying. The other thing that Toddrick has in common with Paul is that he sucks at jury management. Shanna was right. Who, out of the jury, is actually going to want to vote for Toddrick? Carson, of course, felt that he had to comfort Toddrick and do the whole, “That wasn’t a classy thing to do,” spiel. Carson really seems to think that he’s some sort of father figure in the House.

Anyway, this eviction sucked and I’m glad there’s only a week left of this. As of now, I’m waiting to see who the new HoH will be! Hopefully, it’ll be Lamar because I think he’s the only one who might nominate Meisha and Toddrick for eviction. At this point, though, I’d almost rather see Meisha win again just so I can see the look on Carson’s face when he ends up on on the block.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — A Weird Season Continues

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 14, 2022

So, let’s get this straight.

Carson was on the block due to Meisha and basically, he would have been evicted if not for the fact that Shanna won the POV and then, at great potential risk to her own game, she used the veto to save him. Make no mistake about it. If Shanna hadn’t used the veto, Carson would have been the one who was voted out on Friday and Chris Kirkpatrick would still be in the house.

So, of course, when Carson won the HoH contest, it seemed obvious that he would go after Meisha. It seemed like the obvious move would be to nominate Meisha and Toddrick but Carson previously promised that he wouldn’t nominate Toddrick and he decided to keep his word. He decided that he would instead nominate Meisha and Todd Bridges.

And, make no mistake about it — that’s what Carson eventually did. At the nomination ceremony, Caron nomianted Meisha and Todd for eviction. BUT — it’s all juts a part of a grand scheme to backdoor Shanna!

What a weird season! As we saw on tonight’s episode, all it took for Carson and Cynthia to suddenly distrust Shanna was for Toddrick to tell them that Shanna was actually working against them. Toddrick, for the most part, was flat-out lying but Carson and Cynthia both took him at his word, for some reason. When they confronted Shanna, Shanna lost her temper and I don’t think anyone can blame her for that. But now Carson and Cynthia disturst her even more than they did before and, as a result, Shanna is Carson’s actual target.

It’s a weird, weird season. Meisha and Toddrick are both very good at this game. In fact, they’re the only two who are really playing, which is one reason why they’ve managed to totally dominate the House. If any of the celebs are serious about winning this season, they’re going to have to do something about Meisha and Toddrick. Instead, they’re plotting to backdoor Shanna.

Meanwhile, Toddrick and Meisha have already agreed that, should either one of them win the next HoH comp, their first target will be Carson.

The veto is tomorrow. Hopefully, Shanna will win it or else this season is as good as over as far as anyone other than Meisha or Toddrick winning.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — Remember When We All Liked Todd?

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 11, 2022

Hi, everyone!

So, tonight, the latest houseguest will be evicted. Shanna used the veto yesterday on Carson and Meisha put up Chris Kirkpatrick as a replacement. Of the two nominees, I think Chris will probably be voted out, if just because he’s a bigger threat than Cynthia.

However, the really big news in the house is not the veto ceremony what happened afterwards. Cynthia apparently asked Todd Bridges to vote to keep her. Todd, it turns out, is still angry over how the first vote went down. Because Cynthia voted to evict him over Teddi, Todd took it personally that Cynthia asked him for his vote. Though the feeds were down for most of this, it’s appears that Todd started to yell at Cynthia. Todd claims that Cynthia is the one who started yelling first but the rest of the house seems to feel that Todd was the one who was doing most of the yelling. When the feeds were coming back, Carson was telling Todd to “never raise your hand to a woman,” which led to Todd then yelling at Carson about how he hadn’t done anything wrong. This went on for a while, with Cynthia crying and Todd ranting to anyone who would listen that Cynthia shouldn’t have asked him for his vote. At one point, Todd even made a comment about how things would have gone differently in Cynthia had approached him “on the street” as opposed to “in the House.”

WHAT A JERK!

When this season started, I thought Todd was just going to be one of those celebs who comes into the house, sleeps all day, and then leaves without complaining. And, for the first few days, that’s what happened. But now, I’ve seen Todd’s temper and, if I was in the House, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near him. When Todd Bridges was younger, he had anger issues that he has always claimed were the results of 1) being an actor and 2) getting hooked on drugs. He even stood trial for shooting a man. (He was found to have acted in self-defense.) Todd has since reinvented himself as an anti-drug counselor but, judging from yesterday, it would appear that Todd’s anger issues did not go away just because he got off drugs. From what I’ve heard the other houseguests say about the fight and Todd’s own inability to move on from the argument, I honestly have to wonder why he hasn’t been pulled from the game. If this was regular Big Brother, he would have been removed.

So, that’s where we stand. Tonight, we’ll see when and why Chris Kattan left the show and I assume we’ll also see the fight between Todd and Cynthia. And then either Cynthia or Chris Kirkpatrick will be sent out the front door.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — The Big News Tonight

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 9, 2022

Hi, everyone!

So, we have some big news about the House tonight. Before I share it, let’s just recap where we stand right now.

As of last night, Miesha is HoH. This is her second time to be HoH. She has won every HoH comp in which she’s competed. Obviously, she’s a big threat. She has nominated Carson and Cynthia for eviction. Carson is the target. That was all recapped on tonight’s show.

Here’s what has happened since the nominations:

Sometime today, Chris Kattan left the house and the game! Though the houseguests are not going into a lot of details on the feeds (and have probably been told, by production, not to divulge too many details before Friday’s show), it appears that Chris Kattan voluntarily withdrew from the show. Earlier today, he posted a picture of himself and his girlfriend on Instagram, showing that he’s both out of the house and he’s not in quarantine because of a positive COVID test or anything like that. By voluntarily walking, Chris Kattan has forfeited his right to be on the jury but I imagine he’s a lot happier right now because he was truly miserable inside the house.

Meanwhile, at today’s veto comp, Shanna won her second veto in a row. The question now is whether or not she’ll use it. Shanna wants to take Carson off the block but Chris Kirkpatrick is concerned that Meisha will put him up as a replacement and then he’ll be evicted. Chris Kirkpatrick is hoping that he can convince Meisha to backdoor Toddrick before the veto meeting but I don’t think he’ll be able to pull that off.

My personal guess is that Shanna will do the same thing she did last time. She’ll play it safe and decline to use the veto. We’ll see!

So for now, Chris Kattan is gone and Shanna has the veto.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — No Shocks Tonight

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 8, 2022

Hi, everyone!

Well, if you just watched tonight’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother, then you know what happened. It was pretty much what everyone was expecting to happen and I have to admit that I kind of felt that it sucked. Just when it looked like these celebs might, at the very least, attempt to keep things interesting, it appears that we’ve slipped back into the old BB rut of always voting the HoH way.

Chris Kirkpatrick got what he wanted. Shanna won the veto and she kept the nominees the same. Despite the fact that Chris Kattan literally asked the other houseguests to vote him out and to keep Mirai (and Chris Kattan, I should say, does seem to be fairly miserable in the house), the house instead unanimously voted her out.

Personally, if I was HoH, I would have been more concerned about players like Toddirck and Carson staying in the House than about Mirai but Chris Kirkpatrick disagreed. Chris Kirkpatrick, who was the least interesting member of NSYNC, got out his target despite not really having much of a reason to target her.

Mirai is the 2nd to leave. There are 9 houseguests left. Some, like Toddrick and Chris Kirkpatrick, are playing a bit too hard. Others, like Chris Kattan and Todd Bridges, don’t seem to be playing at all. If Lamar manages to get through the month without self-evicting, I think he might have a good chance to win. No one seems to dislike him.

For now, though, Mirai is gone and a new HoH has yet to be selected.

We’ll see what happens!

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — Just A Quick Update

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 6, 2022

Hi, everyone!

This is going to be a quick update, just in case you missed tonight’s show. Chris Kirkpatrick is the HoH. His nominees are currently Chris Kattan and Mirai. He nominated them because he says that he’s not sure where their loyalties lie. And it is true that neither Kattan nor Mirai had really discussed the game with Chris Kirkpatrick but, at the same time, it’s not like Chris Kirkpatrick made much of attempt to talk to them either. So, my feeling is that Kirkpatrick basically wimped out and went after some easy targets.

The veto comp is tomorrow. Chis is thinking about putting up Cynthia as a replacement if either one of his nominees comes down.

And that’s it for now!

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — About Last Night

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 5, 2022

I finally got a chance to sit down and watch last night’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother.

It was actually far better than I was expecting.  It felt like a real episode of Big Brother, with an actual challenge and an actual twist that forced the houseguests to think on their toes.  I have to wonder why the hat twist was saved for Celebrity Big Brother, as opposed to being used during regular Big Brother.  Regular Big Brother could use a twist like that.  It’s almost a shame to waste it on a bunch of houseguests who really don’t care whether they win or not.

As for last night’s show, Teddi was voted out.  What’s interesting is neither Teddi nor Todd Bridges were originally nominated by Meisha but they’re still the ones who ended up sitting up front during the eviction.  What happened was this:

First off, Carson won the veto.  He used it on himself and, of course, Meisha replaced him on the block with Teddi.  Teddi was her original target, before Meisha decided that Mirai couldn’t be trusted.  So, Meisha went back on her previous deal and put Teddi on the block as a replacement.

Then, right before the vote, Julie announced that the Gala Gift hat came with a curse.  The houseguests were again required to trade it around.  The twist was that whoever was the last to get the hat would 1) have to remove one of the nominees and 2) become a nominee themselves.  Todd Bridges was the last to receive the hat.  He took Mirai off the block and went up in her place.

Now, Todd hasn’t done much in the house but he deserves some credit for giving a short and to the point pre-eviction speech.  “Do what you think is best,” or something like that.  The speech, to be honest, kind of indicates that Todd doesn’t really care that much about the show but still, it was nice not to have to sit through a hundred shout-outs.

As for the votes, Chris Kattan, Carson, and Cynthia voted to evict Todd.  Everyone else voted for Teddi.  By a vote of 5-3, Teddi was evicted.

One thing that was not shown on last night’s show is that Chris Kirkpatrick apparently got into a big argument about Mirai about something.  (I’m not sure what but the houseguests have mentioned it on the feeds.)  After the argument, Kirkpatrick was actually removed from the house because he had tested positive for COVID.  However, the test was later determined to be a false positive and, after several hours in isolation, Kirkpatrick returned.

That’s it for now.  From what I’ve seen of the live feeds, everyone seems to be sleeping in, except for Lamar who got up early and cleaned the kitchen.  Good for him.  I always like the houseguests who actually try to keep the house clean.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — You Had One Job

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 4, 2022

On last night’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother, the celebrities showed that — if nothing else — they understood the importance of forming a big and unwieldy alliance and giving it a name.

Todrick was at the center of several alliances.  He stated out agreeing to work with Carson Kressley, Shanna Moakler, and Cynthia Bailey.  Then, HoH Miesha suggested that Todrick work with her and Lamar Odom as a sort of “athletes alliance,” despite the fact that Todrick’s not an athlete.  Then Chris Kirkpatrick decided to try to start a Popstar alliance with him and Todrick.  And finally, Mirai suggested that Todrick, Carson, Shanna, Cynthia, Teddi fomr an alliance.

Mirai’s alliance seems to be the one that has actually decided to stick together.  On the one hand, 6 people in an alliance is a bit much.  On the other hand, it is a majority of the house.  Mirai’s big mistake was not bringing the HoH into the alliance.  Whether she likes Miesha or not, Miesha has the power right now.  Anyway, once the alliance formed, Carson said that they had to come up with a cool name.  I thought to myself that at least Carson would be able to come up with something clever….

“The Formation!” Carson declared.

YOU HAD ONE JOB, CARSON!

The Gala Gift turned out to be the stupid hat that the celebrities had to trade around and the last person who put the hat on their head would be safe for the week.  It was dumb.  Anyway, Cynthia ended up as the last person to get the hat so she’s safe.

As for the nominations, Meisha was planning on nominating Teddi and Chris Kattan because she felt that Teddi was playing too hard.  Mirai told Teddi was Meisha was planning because, after all, Mirai and Teddi are in the same alliance.  After Teddi talked to Meisha, Todrick revealed that Mirai was the one who told Teddi what was going on.  Meisha decided to nominated Mirai and Carson for eviction.

Friday night, we’ll have our first veto comp and our first eviction.  Yay.

Celebrity Big Brother 3 — Live Feeds? Who Needs Them?

by Lisa Marie Bowman on February 3, 2022

Hi, everyone!

So, last night, Celebrity Big Brother got started.  It’ll last through the month of February and it’ll feature 11 “celebrities” competing for a quarter million dollars because God knows, celebrities need money.  I have to admit that I’m not really a huge fan of celebrity reality competitions and none of the celebrities that they found for the third season of Celebrity Big Brother are all that interesting.  I hate to put it like that and get things started on a negative note but that’s the truth.

Here are the 11 celebrities:

  1. Carson Kressley, of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy and a whole host of other shows
  2. Chris Kattan, one of the Saturday Night Live people who did not get a film career out his time on the show
  3. Chris Kirkpatrick, the member of NSYNC who everyone forgets about
  4. Cynthia Bailey, model
  5. Lamar Odom, former basketball player who was married to Khloe Kardashian
  6. Miesha Tate, UFC mixed martial artist
  7. Mirai Nagasu, Olympic figure skater
  8. Shanna Moakler, model
  9. Teddi Mellencamp, real housewife
  10. Todd Bridges, actor and drug counselor
  11. Todrick Hall, YouTube personality and Taylor Swift acquaintance

Last night featured everyone entering the house and meeting each other and …. well, it was kind of boring.  No one really made that big of an impression, though my early favorite is Miria Nagasu because figure skating is cool.  Lamar Odom gave off a “I’m going to walk off the show after three days vibe.”  Miesha Tate seems to be taking things a bit too seriously.  Chris Kattan seems like he’s going to be a bit too needy.

Miesha won the first HoH.  Who is Meisha going to target?  Have there been any early alliances?  I can’t tell you because the live feeds have been delayed.

I would suggest getting used to this happening. These are celebrities so I doubt the producers are going to let us see too much.

Anyway, there’s another episode tonight so maybe we’ll see who Miesha’s has nominated for eviction.
